• Bernd Karl (4/5): Ein verlorener Urlaubstag - Die Lage war gut, Meerblick. Bei Ankunft hatten wir den Eindruck, dass der Empfang durch den Angestellten ziemlich unprofessionell ablief. Der Innenhof, auf dem wir parkten war ziemlich ungastlich gestaltet. Es standen allerlei Gerätschaften auf dem Rückseitigen Teil des Hauses. Wenig Einladend. Der nächste Weg durch die Pool Ärea war schon deswegen schokierend, da sie voller Blätter und Dreck war. Angeblich wegen des starken Windes. Als nächstes Vorstellung der Bar, wo wir auf die Zahlungsmöglichkeiten der Getränke informiert wurden, bevor wir zu unserem Zimmer geführt wurden, welches altbacken und als nicht sehr freundlich erschien. Einzig der tolle Blick änderte etwas an dem schlechten Eindruck. Da das Haus mit 4 Sternen und sehr guten Bewertungen bei Booking beworben worden war ist uns das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis als ziemlich unverhältnismässig erschienen. Die Bilder sehen viel besser aus als es das Haus wirklich hergibt. Nach zwei Telefonaten mit der Besitzerin wurde uns erklärt, dass wir gerne gehen könnten. Wir fassten das als Angebot eines vernünftigen Refunds auf. Weder Booking .com noch die Mieterin, die uns auf den Vermittler Booking verwies waren in dieser Hinsicht beweglich. Übrigens : ein Guesthaus in direkter Golfplatznähe war unser nächstes Domizil, wo wir 3 schöne Tage in gepflegter und freundlicher Athmosphäre verbrachten. Mehr als 600 Euro für 3 nicht angetretene Übernachtungen ohne ein wenig Kulanz hat uns deutlich verärgert , besonders da wir als Langzeitkunden immer zufrieden waren.

Der Stadtkern ist in ca. 15 Jahren über einen schönen Pfad die Klippen entlang, zu erreichen. Das Ambiente mit allem drum und dran erinnert irgendwie an einen Aufenthalt in Irland.

Took cooked order incorrectly, so all in all disappointing. Small bath towels, no hand towels. Shower mat was dirty and when left in shower tray for replacement the dirty one was put back. TV did not work, no signal. It just seemed the owner was more concerned with saving money than looking after the guests.

• Andrea (10/5): Fabulous stay! - Lovely property, just out of the centre of Hermanus, but a short and very beautiful walk into the town centre on the cliff path, which is directly outside the property. Our room (no 1) was spacious and clean, with sea views. The owners and staff very friendly and helpful. A fabulous breakfast. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here. Nothing!
• Vincent (10/5): Best place ever.. still dream about going to visit again - The rooms are breath taking, also had Netflix to entertain my teenage kids in the evenings.. morning walks along the beach… food it’s a must taste .. All was perfect
