Guest Reviews
- Nicole (1/5): -
- Patricia (8/5): - Front desk was wonderful and friendly and helpful Pot smoking outside my door
- R (5/5): -
- Heather (5/5): It served it's purpose for the night but wouldn't stay again. - The front desk was friendly & the price was great. The location was scary. The facility was really run down & it wasn't that clean on property or in the room.
- Guest (3/5): Don't. - Everything.
- Sandra (6/5): - The toilet lever was broke. The light switch for the bathroom was upside down. Our keys did not work properly. Each time we used them it took several minutes to work. We asked to have them exchanged, the desk clerk told us to keep trying.
I requested clean towels, which I received but not washcloths or hand towels. The towels did not dry me. They did not absorb water. The garbage was not emptied. The curtain did not close all the way, you could see outside, which means if someone wanted to they could see inside. There were food crumbs on the floor, not from us. The room smelled smokey.
On a positive note, the shower was awesome.
- Von B (4/5): Ridiculous - I had no room key due to the precious occupants of the room damaging the lock and the 24 hour attendant said they were unable to make a key.
I had to go to the front desk for her to let me in anytime I left me room.
There was an image drawn on the floor in what looked like axle grease. The bed coverlets had cigarette burn holes.
No discount was offered and I was told there were no other rooms.
- Ann (6/5): - Key card was not working and we had to be let into the room by the front desk staff. Room was poorly stocked. 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel, 1 floor mat. No washcloths. 1 full bottle of shampoo and 1 partial bottle. 2 bars of soap. 3 packets of decaffeinated coffee. Bed was comfortable.
- Guest (2/5): Not recommended - There wasn't breakfast. I was told covid shut down the breakfast and they never started it back up Pot holes all over the parking lot, very dirty walkways in the halls and to the rooms. Carpet on the walkways are filthy. Moss growing on the walkways, visible rust on the exterior of the building. Our restroom door was busted to the point it could shut. The closet rod was broken and stuffed under the TV unit. The bed was rock hard and made noise everything you moved. Horrible maintenance.
- Michelle (10/5): - Very nice rooms much more than I expected,
- PATRICIA E (10/5): - Outside appearance is aging. Room was nice overall. Quick check-in.
- john (8/5): N - Was good for what we paid.
- Shonta (10/5): Came in Clutch - They accommodated me in the middle of the morning and I really appreciated that. Travel nurse. There wasnt many rooms or options in the area and Econo Lodge didnt dissappoint
- Tracy (2/5): - No washcloths, TV didn't have a signal. I reserved a smoking room, but they were all taken by the time we arrived. We have a dog, but got stuck with a 2nd floor room in the back (which is the first floor in the front). Won't be staying there again.
- Nadine (2/5): - This place is disgusting! The sheets were worn thin…the room smelled musty…the walls in the room were dirty and plaster was peeling off….no pool…no breakfast.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
- Thelma (4/5): - The only good thing about my stay at Econ o Lodge was the front desk worker. She went above and beyond to rectify the issues we were experiencing. There were bedbugs in the beds and my children and grandchildren and myself were bitten several times. This is after having no tv service either.
- Emily (5/5): Passable -
- Momma (8/5): Very good -
- Josh (5/5): Passable -
- Mertz (7/5): Good -
- Steve (2/5): - Bad
- Haley (4/5): - The property was very shady we did not feel comfortable being there at all. The room was also dirty. I do not recommend staying.
- Eaton (6/5): We had a good time - It was quiet and very comfortable The poor lady at sign in couldnt get the printer to work
- Eugene (2/5): Horrible and disgusting - This place had bed bugs and i have pictures
- Timothy (4/5): - There was a hole in the wall next to AC control. Mold on the ceiling of the bathroom that had been painted over, and the paint on the bathroom was peeling.
- Kathrine (2/5): Very poor - Bed sheets were unclean, very old , the staff was friendly, the hotel was cheap
- JAMES (6/5): - There was no one at the front desk when I arrived to check in. She left a note saying she’d be back in 15-20 minutes. It took an hour. I asked for a refill cation in the price due to the inconvenience but was told she already dinged my card before I arrived
I’ve never had this problem before and it was upsetting
- Natalie (10/5): Great host! - Just as last time, the host was super friendly, she even remembered me! She was super nice and accommodating!
- Wilbur (4/5): - Key card didn't work she let me in with master key went out later got back 1 AM had to wake her up to get in
- Destiny (5/5): Passable -
- Natalie (10/5): Great to stay at for visiting! - I booked a room to stay at since I was visiting a loved one at the federal facility that was closed by. The person in the front was very accommodating! The room was very comfortable and everything we could have possibly needed was provided. I have booked a second stay.
- STACY (6/5): - An oldfashioned motel where you can park and walk into your room. The motel is located on the outskirts of the city.
- Stacey (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything
- Kibler (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cowan (1/5): Bad - Once we got to the hotel after paying online the hotel couldn't find our reservation.
- Rebecca (4/5): - The whole experience was crappy. We didn’t get a key to our room and that was inconvenient, to say the least. Advertisement said there was a microwave and we didn’t have one. We asked for more coffee and the clerk was rude about it. It wasn’t very clean.
- Deshawna (4/5): - Unfortunately there was hair in the tub and sink, asked for towels there were only bath towels no face towels, heat didn’t work properly, internet wouldn’t connect, cigarette holes in my sheets and comforter, I could go on and on
I will not be staying here ever again…
- Robert (8/5): - It looks like at one time this was a top of the line properties. But now it needs a update.
- Keith (6/5): - Rooms remodeled, but outside of property is very rundown.
- Kaniat (6/5): - No pillow cases and dirty pillows. No towel change or room clean. Other than that it was normal.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room key machine was broken so we couldn’t get a key which was extremely sketchy!
- Vanessa (4/5): Fair for the price and just for one night - The lobby was nice, the bedroom was comfortable. The smell in the bathroom was bad, and little humid
- Michael (4/5): - It was cheap and short drive to our activities. It boasts 3 floors but when we stated we had no heat they were fully booked (only 10 cars in parking lot) and could only offer an extra blanket. Unplugged the heater for safety reasons. It looked as if they are doing renovations room by room but not updating electrical. No breakfast offered and coffee make had to be moved to an outlet. No vent or fan in bathroom.
- Peter (4/5): - Hole in wall, paint peeling
- Patrick (1/5): Bad -
- Boucher (8/5): Very good - Gave extra pillow Couldn't cook outside..not alot of light in bathroom
- Kibler (6/5): Pleasant -
- William (6/5): - The outside of the building looked rundown. Our room was very clean and we were pleased with it.
- Elizabeth (4/5): Do not stay at this motel - Don't stay at this motel. No one is at the front desk; you have to call a number which no one answers for assistance. I arrived at 1 pm for early check and there was no one to assist, so I left after 10 minutes.
I returned at 7:30 pm to check in. The key card would not work and I got a story about having to reprogram the locks. Now if I leave the room, I will have to call the phone number to get someone to let me in.
Facility is old, not maintained, and dirty. No pool, ice machine, breakfast, etc. Thin towels, lackluster cleaning, inconsistent water pressure and water temperature.
I was awakened by person in next room talking loudly in room and outside of room from 4:45 am to 5:30 am on a Sunday morning. I feel unsafe, dirty, and tired.
- Stephan (6/5): - One bath towel? And that was badly stained. No washcloths or hand towels. TV was difficult to operate and required the desk clerk coming to my room to fix it. And even then, the remote did not operate the volume control.
- Cheryl (9/5): Superb -
- Marsha (6/5): - It was fine in a pinch
- Mark (6/5): - The bathroom light was extremely dim. There was no type of breakfast. No ice machine plus I seen the washer in the hallway so how are they washing things. No chair in our room like the pictures show. Parking lot has a lot of potholes. The check in lady was very nice. The exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn’t work. No hand rail in bath tub or no. Slip pads. No phone for the 24/7 room service. For the price it was okay I guess.
- Jes (8/5): - It was simple to check in and out. Rooms were quiet and had everything we needed
- Hollie (6/5): - The room looked upgraded, looked like newer bedding, floors and tile in the shower and kind of like the pictures but the walls and furniture were banged up, walls need some paint and spackle. The dust behind the mini fridge was “caked up”, they clean the rooms but DEFINITELY do not pay attention to detail! Outside made us VERY LEARY to go inside. They may be in the process of upgrading but details matter when you are trying your best and didn’t seem like they cared about detail at all. Out buildings, pool and building beside it, in the process of falling down. It was OK in a pinch but will not be returning!!
- Roberto (10/5): - Good
- Helen (8/5): - We only needed a place to sleep after long day of driving. Outside of hotel looks rundown, parking lot full of potholes, on the outskirts of town (not in town as we believed) however the room itself was clean, comfortable, quiet & spacious. Microwave & fridge worked well.
Great price, met our needs. Would stay again.
- Timothy (2/5): Very poor -
- Joyce (6/5): Cheap & clean stay. - Rather poor, run-down hotel. Desk couple very sweet & helpful. Room was clean, bed was good.
- Amy (2/5): Total disappointment - When we arrived it was late at night and there was a lot of loitering in the parking lot. It made us feel unsafe. The room we were assigned was on the back side of the property overlooking the dimly lit parking area. I did not feel safe as a single mom staying there with my son. I returned to the front desk almost immediately after seeing our room, we didn’t even set down our badges. I was told I would receive a refund for my room and that has never occurred.
- Umidjon (7/5): Great for a night! -
- golden (4/5): - bed bugs!!
- Tammy (2/5): - Couldn’t reach anyone about air conditioning not working
- Kayla (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything. Not clean at all and rude
- Thomas (4/5): It I give u a 24 hour notes that I am leaving and cannot get money that is wrong - The beds were good Shower never work that good the town had a water break and I was never told about that not good when u are in the shower.
- Ry094 (1/5): Never ever ever - Absolutely nothing. Jenelle the manager was rude. Tried to charge card before i arrived says its conpany policy but no where i looked supported his claim. Says booking is wrong and need to book thru their website. What does that even mean? The Room was absolutely Gross and worthless parking lot full of potholes. Worst experience ever. Would rather sleep in my car after 12 hours of driving. Will absolutely never in my life will go there or let anyone i know stay there absolutely wildly horrible experience.
- Joe (4/5): - The good -
1) Views from window.
2) Temperature and pressure of the shower.
The bad -
1) We were checked in to a room, which when we opened the door of had an unmade med, a wet towel on the bed.
2) We were given an alternate room which was not a similar room to the one we had booked.
3) There were two (at least) flies in the room.
4) The shower curtains were filthy (these are not very expensive to replace, so no excuse).
At the price point, absolutely no luxury is to be expected, but cleanliness is mandatory. Felt short changed. The staff were nice, but the service was disappointing leading to a very poor overall experience.
Would never come back or recommend.
- Ruth (8/5): - Great beds, clean rooms, plentiful hot water, great minifridge and microwave, very comfortable room.
Stopped-up sink, front desk not responsive when called, bathroom fan not working, dry wall peeling off from shower ceiling.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 4.90 - Everything was great. Plaster in bathroom was APPARENTLY slated to be redone. It was chipping and created plaster dust in the bathroom. That is minor, however. The bed was very comfortable !
- Dylan (1/5): Horrible - Nothing, this hotel had zero redeemable qualities. I was not given a room key because the lock was “broken” upon complaining to the front desk they told me I could come and go as I please and they will let me back in the room everytime. But only until 10 PM because they have other stuff to do after that. After telling the desk this was unacceptable they began to ignore me and start tending to other things. Not having a room key is wild. Not clean. Not friendly. Shady area. Shady patrons. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Wouldn’t even give me a refund upon telling me I could not have a room key.
- Damaris (2/5): Very poor -
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Not good. Will not go there again. Slipped and fell in the shower this morning. Nothing in shower to hold on to. Not recommended. Room #220.
- Paul (8/5): - For a cheap hotel it worked ..ac was cold and good water pressure in shower room was clean and that worked fine for me id stay again
- Cindy (2/5): - The staff was rude. We asked for another towel because the one in our room looked dirty and he said he would have to charge us extra. The room was dirty: we found dirty socks under the bed, the sheets were stained and we didn’t feel confident they were clean and the room and entire hotel was run down and dirty. PASS on this one!!
- David (8/5): Very good - Room was clean and comfortable.
- Bellomo (7/5): Good - Price Smell of Smoke in the room
- Nadia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Upon arrival was informed that non-smoking room was unavailable. The only room available was in very poor condition. No ice machine, no phone in room, no vending machine on site. Ceiling had large water stains. Stained bedspread.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Upon arrival was informed that non-smoking room was unavailable. The only room available was in very poor condition. No ice machine, no phone in room, no vending machine on site. Ceiling had large water stains. Stained bedspread.
- John (4/5): Run down property. - na Sign in breakfast area said we are not currently serving breakfast. There was not even coffee.
- Jackie (2/5): - Our room smelt like smoke and was supposed to be non smoking. The bedding was filthy
- Ronald (7/5): Good -
- Joseph (2/5): - Walls were falling apart & the ceiling had massive holes in the texture of it.
- Samantha (2/5): Not very good. - Unfortunately, not really anything. It was just somewhere to lay our heads. The ceiling was falling down, could not shower in a room thankfully shower in my parents room the upstairs where the other rooms were the roof was falling down. Pretty sure we found a roach.
- marc (2/5): Bad - If I would have known this place was so bad I would have spent an extra $20 and stayed at the best weatern
- Price (2/5): The hotel and booking.com clearly run this con together. - Absolutely nothing. The hotel itself did not match the picture, and there was a creepy guy who appeared to be strung out on something who kept poking outbofbone of the rooms, lingering nearby and watching us in the parking lot. When I went in to check-in, they asked the weight of my dog, which I told them was around 60lbs (fluctuates by 3 lbs either way), so he picked up the phone and told someone that my dog was "way over 60lbs" when he hadn't even seen her yet, and had just been told the opposite. When he hung up, he told me that I owe a $75 cash-only pet deposit due to the weight of my dog. I asked why that hadn't been mentioned anywhere in the listing, and was told that in third party websites that's not the hotel's fault. I asked if I get that money back when I check out, since that's how deposits work, and was told "no, you just have to pay it to check in with the dog." Between the obvious false advertising of the quality of the building, and the obvious cash grab scam, I then tried to cancel my reservation and was told that they can't process that there, nor do they have any control over whether I get charged or not if I cancel - that booking.com alone decides that. Yet, when I cancelled through booking.com and requested a refund/no charge, I was told by that website that the hotel itself decides whether or not to charge, and of course they decided to. There is absolutely nothing honest about the listing for this hotel. Not only that, but after both the hotel and the booking.com website assured me that even if I didn't receive a refund I wouldn't be charged any more than what I was told I would be at booking, I was charged the agreed upon amount PLUS an additional separate charge with no explanation. This was a scam, and you got away with it this time. So congrats. But the hotel and this website are con artists that I will make sure no one I know ever does business with.
- Bryan (2/5): - Room smelled. Building was in terrible repair. Roof was falling in in portions
- Andrew J (2/5): - The place is falling down. ice machine out of order.Reserved smoking room They didnt have one.It was just a dump needs torn down. will not reserve econolodge again.
- Erika (2/5): The worst, unfortunately. 😬 - Sadly, it was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I had a knife next to me and I didn’t sleep the entire night as I had children and my parents with me. I never felt this way.
I would have booked another hotel but it was an impromptu stop before the eclipse.
The Econolodge chain is going down hill or whoever is deciding to buy the trademark isn’t doing them any justice.
I should have set up camp in the woods, it would have been cleaner.
I didn’t take photos bc I was scared to.
- Scott (4/5): Disappointing -
- Annamarie (3/5): Poor -
- Douglas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (8/5): - The fridge is cold, the water in the shower is hot, the linens are clean and the bed is comfortable. Located a minute or so from the highway, a perfect place to stop for the night during a long road trip.
Staff who checked me in was quiet and efficient.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Wouldn't stay there again. - Well i asked for bottom floor didn't get that...then they were shooting a movie right in between where we were at. And was told to go back inside when we were on the balcony because they were shooting a scene. Not ok we should have not been placed in that spot if a movie was being filmed.
- Matt (6/5): Pleasant -
- Margaret (8/5): - Out side needs improvement around the building needs improvement drive way is rough.
- Cary (3/5): blech... - . Quiet No breakfast.
Checked us into an occupied room.
TV remote didn't work.
No ice.
Dark curtain too short to cover window.
Filth and trash under bed.
- Beatrice (8/5): You can't beat the price! - You can't beat the price! The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was very clean, the room had a microwave and a mini-fridge with a freezer. The AC/heating unit worked really well. For the price it was fantastic. The furniture is a little old and the tub drain was VERY slow. The staff offered to move us to another room, but we were settled and fine with it.
- Gary (8/5): - Didn’t expect much from the outside appearance of this motel, but the rooms were spacious, quiet and functional. They could have a better, less “scratchy” bedspread though! Did appreciate the larger separate freezer in the refrigerator and the microwave proved to be quite useful. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
- Kristy (3/5): Poor - The sheets seemed clean and there was a fridge and microwave. The hotel tried to cancel my reservation the morning of my stay. I opted to pay at the hotel when I booked and they tried to run a card on file at 8 am the morning before my stay. It declined and they left me a message stating they were canceling my reservation. I called them panicked and after a while they ran my card and held the room for me but it seemed as though they were trying to resell my room at a higher rate during a peak time. The bathroom had mold all over the ceiling and chipping paint. The bathroom door didnt close and the fold out bed had urine stains, a dog dish, dog food , dog treats, and dog toys underneath of it.
