- Peter (7/5): - The staff here was 10/10. Absolutely the best part of the stay. From the moment I arrived to the end, the service was tremendous. I was supposed to travel at the beginning of the conflict with the US and Iran, my flight was canceled because of a stop through Qatar and the hotel wouldn’t let me cancel my stay because of it. I had to spend a huge additional amount to get to the hotel and I arrived a day later. Followed by another huge increase in my flight to depart because of the war being ongoing. A refund because of the circumstances would have been the right thing to do. I reached out and was told they wouldn't allow the cancelation. Lastly the resort itself wasn’t really bad, but it’s kinda isolated on the beach strip, and the beaches area can use some maintenance. The staff still made the trip amazing. So cheers to them.

Aqua park kurulabilir. Temizlik istiyorsanız sadece düğmeye basmanız yeterli değil. Özellikle lobbye söylemeniz gerek. Yoksa takip yok. Havlular sayıları düzgün takip edilmiyor. Küvet kirliydi. Potansiyelin farkına varılarak üst düzey bir otel haline dönüştürülebilir. Yemeklerdede dünya mutfakları popülerleşebilir. Asya mutfağı ile sınırlı kalınmamalı. Sahil tarafında çok yoğun motor ve benzin kokusu var. Buraya önlem almalı otel.

Private beach was dirty, plastic bottles and waste! Washed up and nobody clearing. Plastic bottles burnt every morning, smell awful. Rooms and hotel a bit tired , needs renovation, rooms dark, on site restaurants overpriced

Weniger gefallen uns der Strand. Er war nicht so sauber wie erwartet. Und wirklich teilweise ungepflegt. Insgesamt haben wir von Strand mehr erhofft .
- Thomas John (4/5): Pretty average. - The pools were very nice, although the water wasn't particularly clean. The rooms are quite spacious. The buffet breakfast in The Restaurant has a good selection and the service is good. We requested slightly early check-in (2pm - 3pm) but when we arrived about 2:30pm they said the room was still being cleaned and made us wait in the (non-air-conditioned) lobby, and when we got to the room it was obvious it hadn't been cleaned properly - dirty floors, stained sheets, etc. and we had to demand they re-clean it (and we had to wait even longer while they did so). Generally, this hotel just seems to be doing the bare minimum. The accommodation buildings at the rear are old and tired - the rooms look like they were decorated in the 1980s and haven't been touched since. If you request anything out of the ordinary, they refuse it without consideration. The one concession they did make was when we complained about the noisy and dusty construction work they were doing right beside the main pool, they stopped it for a few hours (but hotels that have noisy construction work going during your stay should warn you at the time of booking). Oh, and their information site claims they have access to a "beach club" further down Nusa Dua Beach, which we wanted to access because the beach at the Sakala is not suitable for swimming, but it turns out that is no longer available - they just haven't updated their online information.

- David (6/5): Lovely hotel but there are some serious security issues - Pool facilities, breakfast choices, rooms were clean, friendly staff. So for the first few days everything was smooth, but on one of the days the cleaning staff didn't lock our room (the door lock didn't engage). I let the staff know as this was obviously a major mistake but no harm, no foul. However the next day after a long day out our bedroom had not been made up, the balcony sliding door was unlocked, and the sink was blocked. I was not very happy and had a meeting with the manager the next day. She was very sorry about everything and I said this was NOT what I expect from a resort of this level. She assured me that the door unlocked had been brought up in their morning meeting that day and then to have the room be missed was just not acceptable. I was willing to accept her apology on the assumption they were working to improve and that I wouldn't have to call again about any more issues. UNFORTUNATELY the next day the cleaning staff went in and once again, left the balcony door unlocked. Regardless what level we were on, we locked that door and the expectation is the room stays secured. The manager for that day apologized but admitted he didn't have an excuse. I personally would stay for a day or two but we would not be back for long term nor can we really recommend this hotel due to these security issues.

- Lauren (8/5): Really comfortable stay and good value. - The staff are very helpful and friendly. Anissa was attentive and solved issues with our room promptly. The pool areas were great. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms were less than clean on arrival one room was absolutely full of mosquitos so it wasn’t the best start. There are some areas of the hotel which are undergoing maintenance and some that lost definitely need some maintenance.
- Calderbank (2/5): Not worth the money - The beach club was nice My daughter’s room smelt like mildew as well as the whole floor she was staying on and they did not offer any solution, some of the food was ok but some of it was not cooked correctly. After I checked out and I paid for room service which they counted the money in front of me and gave me a receipt they are now contacting on WhatsApp trying to scam me for extra money

The staff especially Weda our Butler really went above and beyond for us, from check in to check out. The housekeeping team was also great the room, was always made up and fresh towels supplied daily. We enjoyed our stay here. The shower water could be warmer but its not a biggie considering how hot Bali is

- niallm199 (2/5): Disgusting mouldy dirty hotel - Disgusting, unclean and dirty. Booked 3 rooms as we’re travelling with uk relatives. Went to our room and smell of mould was intense… we have been told no just musty smell from humidity.. I am Ear nose throat specialist and know smell of mould. Tiles off around pool, deck access rotting and pool unswimable… we have since been told it was due to floods and was being treated… Day bed grotty to say least. Our two visitors have cancer and this was real treat by us for them. In all good conscience I could not progress with booking as both seriously immune compromised… wouldn’t have stayed either way. Only in hotel a couple of hours and no refund… offered future Holliday with upgrade… 5 star disgusting to 4 star disgusting still not good. Will be reporting to government health department now we have contact… STAY AWAY
- ollam2026 (8/5): Definitely a honeymoon destination - This was my third honeymoon spot and I loved everything about it, the staff were absolutely incredible, they’d call Atleast once a day to check if everything is ok . The room was splendid clean and spacious with its self serving kitchen .. my favorite thing overall was the breakfast!! Oh my God I cannot even begin to describe how I much I loved the breakfast… Mr Demmy would warmly welcome us every morning as we are having our breakfast and we would have a quick chat about our activities for the day .. from the resort lobby you could actually view the beach club which is across the road and makes it An amazing location for beachfront , it was like a 1 minute walk across the street.. though I must say the furniture is quiet old especially the bed mattress it kinda sinks in the middle..

The resort itself is beautiful, with a peaceful beachfront location that’s perfect if you’re looking to relax away from the busy areas of Bali. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and comfortable, you definitely get that “resort feeling” when you walk in. The pools (especially the pool at the beach club) are a big highlight and perfect for chilling during the day. One thing that really stood out was the staff , extremely friendly, attentive, and always smiling. They really make you feel welcome and taken care of throughout your stay. The breakfast was also great, with a good variety of options.

Unlike many resort kids clubs that are filled with plastic toys, this one focuses on arts and crafts, which made it feel much more engaging and thoughtful. The staff, especially Ari, put so much effort into designing a variety of creative activities for the kids.

The beach club was also very nice, clean pools and clean beach. The spa was also a great place to be. The ambience and the masseuse were exceptional. We were helped a lot by Demmy who was very great at making us feel at home. He made my birthday felt very special at the hotel. He also gave a lot of great recommendations for places to visit. Overall a very welcoming host.

- 466jehana (10/5): Wonderful Eid Holiday at Sakala - Had a great time staying here for 7 days! It has direct access to the beach with pools, great restaurants (delicious sushi!), and watersports. Mas Demmy also very friendly and accommodating, especially in setting up birthday surprise and decorations for our family members. All of the staffs are helpful and welcoming. We appreciate the complimentary spa, it was really memorable. We stayed at 2 bedroom suite equipped with kitchen. It has all we need although the room is very far from lobby. Oh the highlight of this hotel is also the Kids Club, our kids love to visit everyday. Don’t forget to stop by Warung Batan Bekul and Raja Bali restaurants nearby. Thanks Sakala! 🖤

- Laarni (9/5): Unexpected Delight - I’ve stayed in Nusa Dua 3 times - The Mulia, Melia and The Sakala Resort. From a $500 AUD per night to a $250-300 AUD at The Sakala Resort it’s safe to say that they delivered service at a higher level than I anticipated. All of the staff were friendly, attentive and kind from the moment we arrived to when we left. They were willing to help with anything and communicating through WhatsAPP was very efficient. The breakfast buffet covered a wide range like your usual breakfast buffets but I particularly liked the live noodle station. There was a lot of construction work but the resort was quiet with less tourists. The pool was my favourite! It was enclosed by the side of the hotel and it gave a jungle vibe. There’s a water slide and a section for kids and it was well kept even with construction going on. The rooms were well equipped, the bed was comfier than my home bed. The decor was dark wood and some furniture was chipped but nothing too obvious. There’s some wear and tear in the tiles of the corridors but expected and not an eye sore. Choosing the room with access to the pool makes it all worth it! I had the best nasi goreng from room service. Their chicken was crunchy and crispy, if they had just the chicken on its own to order in bulk I’d have it every day. If you’re into water sports, they’re easily accessible across the road. I organised a birthday and an anniversary surprise in the rooms for my family and the results did not disappoint! Incredibly happy with how it turned out and they were definitely surprised with the measures they’ve gone to decorate the room. Thank you to Tiur, Annisa, Demy and Mira for making our stay warm and familiar. If you’re after a place for a combination of relaxation by the pool and water sport adventures without the price tag but not compromising on service - then The Sakala Resort is the one for you!

Very pleased with The Sakala staff The ground lever rooms on level 1 were lacking ventilation so there was an air of mold but property is clean.

Buffet breakfast had loads of selections, was so fresh & tasty. Rooms were large & very clean. We upgraded to the pool access which was so handy for our swims. The kids had a ball on the slide. Kids club was great. Lots of activities for the kids & exceptionally clean. We had a fantastic stay! Due to quiet season, some of the nightly entertainment were unavailable but overall an awesome place to stay.
