• Nigel (9/5): A very relaxing stay with great sea views and plenty to see and do. - The location was great close to the beach and local amenities. Breakfast was good and free parking near front was fantastic. Also close to the railway and bus stations. Alan was a very genial host and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

• Louise (9/5): - What a fabulous stay we had. Beds were very comfy, the room was exceptionally clean through out. Walked in every evening to newly fresh made beds and was very considerate of our 2 girls by placing their teddy or doll on the beds ready for them to snuggle up with at night, thought it was a lovely gesture and the kids loved it. The breakfasts we received, every morning were absolutely delicious and spot on, the kids really enjoyed the continental side of it too. Nice selection of different cereals, yogurts and fruit, and plenty of apple juice which my eldest certainly took advantage of 😂 Alan as a host was fabulous, very welcoming, so easy to chat with and loved hearing his stories. Nothing was ever too much for him in the busy mornings of breakfast time and always checking in if we needed more. Each one of us had an amazing stay and can't thank the family enough for having us We stayed in the sea view family room, the only thing I could point out was when the weather was warm we couldn't open the windows fully. Might be a safety feature here obviously being a family room. There was a floor standing fan in the room but just didn't find it quite cooling enough for the entire room, it's just a personal preference that we could've had the sea breeze running through instead

A little apprehensive about making too much noise with two little ones, however host reassured us it's just the part of being kids, it doesn't bother them in the slightest.

• Andrew (9/5): Great few days away at the Cherry Tree. - Alan the host is really friendly and goes the extra mile to make his guests happy, Paid for an inland view but was upgraded to a sea view room on arrival. Location is excellent. Plenty of free parking. Lovely breakfast.
• Félicia (8/5): Very friendly hosts and lovely place. - If you want to stay in a charming old property run by a family, this place is made for you (don't expect high tech)! The Cherry Tree is a lovely building, decorated with paintings that were made by people who stayed at this property and enjoyed their stay. Alan was very welcoming and nice, as we got a room with sea view and could leave our bags the last day to not walk around with heavy bags! The breakfast was very good, and no wastes as we can decide what item we want or not via a form to fill the day before. We would come back if if staying again in lovely South Devon area. Thank you The only little thing was maybe the shower, it took some time to get hot water and debit of water, but by being patient it worked. it didn't bother us, just to make you aware.

• Richard (9/5): Good value for a clean and welcome break - Very friendly welcome from the host. upgraded to a larger room with sea view. Breakfast was plentiful and cooked to personal choice. Very friendly hosts with lots of local knowledge and suggestions. The property was a little tired in decor, but very clean. En-suite was also in need of an upgrade, but functional and clean. Overall though good value for money.
• Plant (9/5): We loved it. - Alan.trish and Gemma were very nice and friendly and always made us feel welcome. they were also very knowledgeable of the area and always happy to give some great advice on what to do and great places to visit. There really isnt anything we did not like and would happily go to the cherry tree again if we are in paignton.
• 13 (8/5): Pleasant and convenient if on foot using the train or bus. - Excellent service with very good quality ingredients and good interaction with owners Trish & Alan The double bed was too soft for me & so I made use of the single bed instead and had 2 good nights sleep.

Breakfast is good quality produce. Plenty of free parking available close to the sea front & multiplex cinema. I was lucky enough to have a sea view which I enjoyed sitting on a chair in my room looking out of the window . Outside needs a little TLC metal rails could do with a little pain & the outside steps need a little touch up but don't be put of by this every else is fine & superb value for money.

The breakfast was very nice and freshly prepared for you with more than enough food which was all local produce . We will definitely return here . Nothing

They're really helpful if you want some guides for places to eat or things to do.The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty. We were there for the Air Show and the B&B is situated on the esplanade with parking so you're right on the front with excellent views. The decor was a little dated and the ensuite was small, but only to be expected for the age of the property
• Michael (10/5): Fabulous - We booked especially for the beachfront location, to watch the seafront airshow, and could walk straight to the location. B&B had a carpark so didnt have any parking issues. Our room looked out onto the seafront and we could watch the airshow from our bedroom. Alan and Trish went out of their way to ensure everyone enjoyed their stay. Lovely breakfast. We would highly recommend this B&B.

I would definitely recommend this hotel a few stairs to the rooms that was no problem with is and the are accessible rooms of the ground floor if required

• Andrew (8/5): A perfect location of a short family break by the sea. - It is a perfect location for a short stay in Paignton. Alan and Gemma were very welcoming and provided good local knowledge. We had a wonderful view of the seafront from our room and breakfast was well presented. Thank you for a lovely weekend! The property is a little dated in its presentation and would benefit from being decorated to a more modern standard, but that said it was very clean and well kept.

They were lovely people but I didn't want to add to their stress. View from room was wonderful. Very close to beach, which was excellent. Bed comfy. Owners very pleasant. Room cramped. No comfortable chair to sit and admire the view, just a hard one. Shower room TINY, difficult to use facilities, all jammed in too small a space. Kettle lid was broken. No decaff in room. Hotel in desperate need of updating, rather dreary and shabby.
