• John (6/5): Under construction/ wear & tear but a good choice - The restaurant is closed because the remodelling it and I hope that they refresh the bathrooms paint and some of the paint here there around the property because it’s getting a bit warm as well but most of all when the restaurants close and when we’re extending for a few days, I wish they wouldn’t charge such a high rate, but really is delightful with six rooms and obviously at the beginning of it was the most gorgeous hostel ever and still is so much better than Many around and with a little bit of paint and more customer, loyalty and more action so it’s not half under renovation it would be a place that I would choose to go to in the future for sure
• John (6/5): Poor condition / service / poor us / poor place - Well - 3 Stars max, restaurant under construction a few months - getting worn in villas too so hope they refresh next along with pool cleaning and loyalty / though we tried to extend 2 nights after some disappointment no cheaper price or solutions offered by the front desk / 1 staff seems overworked & present 24 hours / poor sotuatijn / poor us - poor hotel - not worth 1.200.000 a night no food / no service / no fixes - we booked another 2 nights anyway and it’s not terrible so just be prepared for the disappointment at current 3 star state of hotel !
• YAE SEOP (10/5): 우붓시내의 Rouge호텔 숙박 후기 - 우붓시내 중심가에 있어 접근성도 좋고 근처에 좋은 음식점이 많아 식사도 다양하게 할수 있었네요. 크레타야우붓도 택시로 30분 거리에 있어 그리 멀지 않고 왕궁은 바로 옆에 있어 휙 둘러보고 옰 있어요. 수영장이 호텔을 가로 질러 길게 뻗어있어 수영하기 좋고 물이 깨끗하게 잘 관리되고 특히 저녁때쯤 수영하면 분위기가 참 좋아요. 청소도 잘 해 주시고 여분의 침대가 2개 더 있어서 여유있게 잘 수 있었어요. 가격도 상당히 저렴해요. 기대이상으로 잘 쉬고 놀다 아융강 래프팅하고 짐바란으로 넘어갔네요. 래프팅도 15분거리에 있어 가까워요.
• SEUNGHOON (10/5): 가성비 최고입니다. - 위치가 너무 좋아요 숙소도 넓직하니 수영장도 관리 잘되어있고 가성비 허니문 숙소입니다.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Mooie villa’s, midden in centrum van Ubud - Uitstekende locatie. Midden in het centrum met fantastische restaurants. De vilkk ook a’s liggen iets van de weg, waardoor je geen last hebt van de drukte. Kleinschalig, super vriendelijk personeel. Kamers zijn prachtig, maar vochtig. Hout in de douche is niet echt handig en dit begint op sommige plete rotten. Het ziet er allemaal wel erg mooi en sfeervol uit.

• Corrina (10/5): - This was by far our best accommodation on our recent trip to Bali. The family room was beautifully styled and spacious - the perfect configuration for 2 adults, 2 children. I loved the semi outdoor shower. The long pool, while rather deep for little kids, was perfect for swimming laps and cooling off after exploring the streets of Ubud. The grounds offer lots of quiet spaces to relax. Fantastic central location, walkable to all the central sights, yet quiet enough that you weren’t immediately in the hustle and bustle stepping outside your hotel. The host Merry was lovely. We were impressed by the adjoining restaurant too. While not cheap (to our surprise many options in Bali aren’t), this represents a good value stay.

• Bimpe (8/5): Could do better but amazing location. - Rouge is placed in a great location within walking distance to most sights and shopping in Ubud. It does need to review its description as it is inaccurate. For example, there is no mini fridge in the villa, there is no TV in the villa or onsite spa/massage facilities. It needs to consider what facilities make things more comfortable for its guests such as having a mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities which have become the norm in most hotels. I was in Bali and Gilli T for three weeks and the Rouge was the only hotel that I stayed in with no hot drinks-making facilities and no mini fridge! The room configuration also needs attention as the light switches are too far from the bed so you have to get out of bed to switch the lights off especially inconvenient if you had been reading and are about to go to sleep! Nevertheless, the staff could not do enough for you and they made my stay enjoyable and comfortable. Try their onsite restaurant, their sushi is amazing and you might get to meet one of the owners who came to say hello to me. Live music is currently only twice a week, I saw this once and it was an enjoyable Jazz duo. I ordered their sushi on three occasions and all three were exquisite and I could not fault its taste or value for money! There is a lovely spa about 3 minutes walk which offers good treatments, and also a lovely rock restaurant and bar, which offer lovely and good value Balinese meals.
• Kylie (10/5): - We stayed here for 4 nights. It was our first trip to Bali so wasn’t sure what to expect it to be like. It was such a great location!! Close to the Main Street and in a little laneway that was amazing and beautiful. The staff were lovely. If I had to complain about anything it was no fridge to put your drinks but that did not spoil our stay.

Dominique, the owner, was a terrific host, from advising us on local things not to be missed to telling us about life in Ubud. Definitely a great stop if you plan to stay in Ubud and feel like at home.

• KyungHoon (10/5): 적극 추천 합니다. - 우붓있는 저,중가형 숙소중에 아주 좋습니다. 직원 모두 굉장히 친절 합니다. 또한 조식도 아주 훌륭하고 룸 컨디션도 아주 좋습니다. 침구류 및 침대도 아주 편안히 좋으며 있어야 할 가구들은 모두 잘 비치되어 있습니다. 수영장도 상태가 좋고 관리도 잘 되어있는 것 같습니다. 문 앞에 있는 간이 테라스는 각 방별로 작은 나무들로 막혀 있어 사생활이 보장되고 썬베드도 상태가 아주 좋습니다. 같이 있는 레스토랑은 주로 스시 메뉴를 위주로 판매 하지만, 다른 메뉴도 맛있습니다. 위치는 나가면 오른쪽으로 몇 군데의 레스토랑이 있습니다. 왕궁이나 중심가로 가는데 거리를 짧지만, 가는 길이 차도와 인접해 있어 약간 불편 합니다. 하지만 우붓 어디를 가나 도로 사정이 좋은 곳은 별로 없어 문제 될 건 없어 보입니다. 청결도는 높지만 샤워 시설이 외부와 통하는 곳에 있어 벌레나 거미등이 보이기도 합니다. 그래서 안에 있는 욕조에서 샤워를 주로 하였습니다. 전반적으로 아주 깔끔하고 청결한 숙소 입니다.
• Catherine (10/5): - Amazing stay in Rouge Villas. Property is beautiful, only 6 villas therefore very « private » even if the pool is shared, there were at most 2 villas using at the same time. Plenty of lounging chairs and cushions everywhere, in addition to a private terrasse in front of each villa. Rooms and bathroom (bath and open air shower) are clean, stylishly furnished. We didn’t eat at the restaurant as prices were pretty expensive for Indonesia, but menu looked fancier than most places and they also offer spa services (also pricier than elsewhere). Breakfast included with the ro was great and complete - eggs, toasts and croissants, bacon sausage, fruits, juice and coffee/tea, served directly at the room at the desired time. A1 service. Only thing is fridge/mini-bar is tiny, we would have liked a slightly bigger fridge to be able to contain our milk and baby food. Also, we were a bit disappointed when the insecticide was shot all over the property at noon on the day we checked in, without anyone being notified - travelling with young kids we thought staff could at least tell us to go inside for that instant. But overall we loved our stay at Rouge Villas in Ubud, centrally located and amazing staff and facilities. Definitely recommended.
• Frits (8/5): Bijzonder hotel in het centrum - Leuke ligging in de directe omgeving van diverse goede restaurants en musea. Het hotel bestaat uit een zestal huisjes met een lang zwembad ertussen. Leuke opzet maar daardoor weinig buitenruimte. De ontbijtplanning I is ongelukkig. Je moet de dag van te voren aangeven hoe laat je op het terrasje wilt ontbijten. En dat weet je vaak niet van ftevoren zeker niet met een jetlag.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Dissapointing - Sometimes pictures and reviews can give you a complete different image of a hotel. Unfortunately at Rouge Villa & Spa for me and my family a lot went wrong and as a conclusion we are very disappointed with our stay. Firstly no warm welcome: after arrival at Rouge a lady told us we had to pay for an extra bed. After showing my Expedia email confirmation that everything was paid, the lady was still not convinced and she continued saying that we had to pay the extra bed. In the end it turned out that she mixed up the rooms with other guests. No apologies from her side. Secondly the 50 meter pool in front of the house is nice. But if another guest is a swimmer who starts to train every morning at 7am and thereafter his kids starts to jump into the pool, just in front of your villa, you're wide awake. And this lack of privacy continued by the two French owners - always sitting behind a table in the restaurant - who tried to convince us to eat in their sushi and (new) hamburger restaurants and even gave us brochures of other villas they own. A bit too pushy and desperate according to our liking. Thirdly design is of course a matter of taste, but for a hotel in Ubud we missed the 'Bali-atmosphere' and the characteristic Ubud warmth.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - There are only 3 villas in Kei. The condition of the villa is not well kept. The pool in the villa is too cold to swim in. The only advantage of Kei is the location(It is just next to Potato head).
• Colin (8/5): Nice Villa - Great location - My wife and I just completed a 4 night stay in a 1-bedroom villa. This is a small boutique property of 6 villas, located in a nice quite setting in the private grounds behind the Rouge bar. The location is great and within walking distance to Ubud markets, shops and cafes. The red themed concept throughout the bar, property and villas is a bit kitschy. The property / villas are modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had dinner in the restaurant / bar one night, the sushi was good. The spa is more expensive then the numerous street massages in the area, but well worth the extra cost for the higher standards, cleanliness and service. Breakfast is served to your villa. The menu is limited to a basic selection of bacon, eggs, toast, croissants, fresh juice, tea and coffee, but it was very nice. Rouge is a convenient location for a short stay from which to explore Ubud. It is well suited to families, couples or the solo traveller who are not familiar with the area.

• Christer (10/5): Bali trippen - Vi var tre veckor på Bali, besökte vår dotter som bott där ett tag. Bodde på en del fina hotell. Tog en tur till GiliAir 5 dag. lite enklare boende i bungalows. Åkte runt på lite gajdad tur en heldag. Sista 3 dagarna på Rouge Villas hotell i Ubud var perfekt, bra allting utom vädret lite åska o regn, men varmt.
