Kelly (2/5): - From the moment we entered, there was zero greeting, in fact the man running the counter had no name tag or uniform on, just a plain tshirt. he barely spoke a word to me, didn't say anything about the breakfast times or where to find it, wifi, etc...the normal check in schpeel. Our key didnt work to our room, he tried the key, he remade a new key and that one didn't work so then he said he would move us to a new room. This room had 8 stink bugs crawling the ceiling. The wallpaper next to the shower was peeled back four inches with black mold on the wall, the room smelled like mildew, spiderwebs in the corner and dead bugs. The toilet seat had one bolt broken so you were fighting to stay on the toilet. The curtains were gross. Both coverlets on the beds had brown stains on them. The TV wasn't hooked up right and thankfully my husband was able to get around it. The only positive is the carpet seemed relatively new and the sheets seemed clean. I would not stay here again. No customer service and hotel needs a deep clean, some upgrades, bugs gone, mildew/mold problem handled ( no fan in the bathroom is a killer). It's conveniently located so it has potential.

Room TV remotes are maddening & TV's do not reset properly... Having gone from an ice maker on each floor to just one ice maker on ground floor to dispensing at the front desk because of inferior equipment & poor majntence... Its the little things that add up that make one think twice picking this property again in the future... Only because of caring front desk guy is the only reason that salvaged our last stay... Just saying.....

Also the smell of cigarettes was overwhelming in our nonsmoking room and the bathroom door didn’t shut. Breakfast options were limited at best. Absolutely nothing close by. We were exhausted after a 13 hour drive and had to drive another 10 or so minutes to find food. Don’t stay here. It was only $100 and we were only there one night. I will pay more to stay elsewhere next time.

Sherry (8/5): Decent Room - The room was clean, but the shower was not. The grout had broken away in spots and instead of regrouting they used caulking. At first I thought it was stained, but I tried to remove some of it and it came off. Apparently, it just hadn’t been cleaned very well. The toilet seat was also cracked, and it would pinch your rear end if you sat on it the wrong way. We would have made the desk aware of these issues upon checkout, but the poor clerk was also having to work the breakfast bar due to a staff shortage.
Diane (10/5): - I think that if there is anything I would criticize is the breakfast. I tried the sausage and I truly could not tell what it was made of. Processed turkey gives me a real stomach ache and when I was not able to confirm that is was pork and not sausage, I was not able to eat it. I am pre diabetic and getting enough protein vs carbs was difficult.

Karyn (10/5): Road Trip Migraine < Perfect R&R - During a recent road trip with my brother, I developed an intense migraine and needed an unscheduled day and night of peaceful respite to recover and continue the trip. This hotel in Nicholasville was perfect. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly and accommodating. This was exactly what I needed. The next day we even added Nicholasville to our list of explorations along our road trip and liked it so much, we plan to visit again!
Nancy (2/5): - First impression going to the elevator. Hallway needed vacuuming. Mattresses are disgustingly stained. Both sink and tub drains did not drain properly. Hole in the inside of tub. Elevator tiles broken in elevator. Did not eat breakfast because of overall impression. Needs a lot of work.

Pros: beds were comfortable, bedside lights were great, breakfast was good but lacked variety over the course of our stay, staff was very friendly and in general the place was clean. Cons: chairs in the room were awful making it uncomfortable to hang out in there; in one room there was a creepy looking mold growing behind the toilet. While there was an ice machine, there were no vending machines with empty spaces where they should have been. As for ecofriendly aspects, there was NO evidence of anything ecofriendly. We were not unhappy with our stay, but there were several things that were lacking.

Randy (4/5): - The room smelled like cigarettes, asked the front desk and they informed us that they was booked and didn't have another room to move us to. Then the tv had 4 lights on the screen that was very annoying to watch anything. The shower had mold in the edges. Under the counter in the bathroom had dirty wash clothes, from previous guest, dishes that had dust bunnies covering them. Around the AC unit, was wet from moisture from the unit covering up mold. The hall way didn't look like the had vacumn for weeks. The stairway was nasty, dirty, dead bugs, cob webs, the emergency lights was taking down just the wiring was hanging on the wall. The beds did not have a mattress cover, sheets had red spots, blanket was not clean had dirty and spots. The breakfast sucked, cold coffee, and lets not forget you had to push the door for the stairway up then out to open, very on safe. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, RIN AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

It was very musty smelling and the towels were not the whitest. Very disappointing as we have stayed here in the past and do not recall it being so bad. The TV was shot to the point you just saw the lights showing through the screen. We could not get another room elsewhere as everything was sold out for festival.

Patricia (6/5): Nice people - I ended up with a rash after staying for 3 nights. My husband said it might be the detergent but they look like bites more than skin irritation. Check in staff was friendly. There was a band there making loud music each night. It was hard to sleep and many other patron we spoke with said they even asked to change rooms due to the noise.

Flora (2/5): - This particular Comfort Inn looked nice on the outside. The room we were first in hadn't been cleaned so we requested a different room. (We checked in at 7:00 PM.) The second room, while the bed had been made, the room was not clean. The next day when we arrived back at our room, the safety latch was holding the door open. When I asked the desk about it, they said that one of the maids does do that!!! The sheet and comforter were just thrown up on the bed. It was not made. We were at the end of the hallway right near a side entrance. The key pad at that entrance was broken so all you had to do was jerk on the door and it opened! AND our room door was left "open". There were dead cockroaches in the entryway as well. We were not provided with shampoo,etc and the bathroom floor was not swept. We will NOT stay there again.

Beds are super comfortable and a personal favorite of mine is all of the fluffy yet supportive pillows you get on the bed unlike most other hotels. Staff is always welcoming & helpful with anything you need 😊.

Room with single king bed had a spacious sitting area with a simple desk for office duties on the go. Price was fair. We were going to stop at Danville. But they were all full. This motel had great parking and it was quiet. A great breakfast is included, biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles, and so forth. Along with the cereals and toast. Not a lot of options for an old fat diabetic but it was excellent all the same. And very friendly polite staff. From my perspective in room 319. Happy Trails Folks - Philip

Being somebody who uses a wheelchair, I needed to lower the bed so that I could get into it and they allowed us to remove the metal frame under the bed which worked perfectly. The only real issue was the size of the bathroom. It had a cut out for the wheelchair to get close to the sink, but the door opened up into the bathroom, which made it a little difficult to transfer into a shower chair in the tub. Also, there was no handheld shower.

Larry (8/5): The good and the bad - The good - location was good, the price was good, the breakfast was good, our room was mostly clean, the wifi had a pretty good signal The not so good - I did find one roach in our room but it got away before I could kill it. Also, there were no drawers to use for unpacking my suitcase, the page where you had to sign on to their wifi had white lettering on a white backgroud - which makes no sense at all, and made it difficult to get signed on. Still, I would seriously consider staying there again the next time I am in Nicholasville, if the price is right. Apparently their prices vary from time to trime.

Verified traveler (6/5): Acceptable but in need of work - Our stay was acceptable. The room was well appointed except there was no phone available and it was in obvious need of finishing. There was mold on the wall paper in the bathroom which was concerning and could be due to the fact that there was no exhause fan. The TV kept disconnecting itself. The hotel was clean for the most part though which was nice. The breakfast people need to restock better though as several items were out each morning regardless of the time we joined. Overall it was acceptable for the price point but little things like phones, tv and bathroom make the experience one to rate it higher.
kathy (6/5): Under construction - The hotel was under construction which I did not know before. The 3rd floor hallway was stripped of wallpaper. The room numbers were sitting on the floor. All of that would have been ok but they should have vacuumed the floor before accepting guests to that floor. Also our room had ants.

Heather (4/5): Drive further to stay somewhere else - Very old, stains on bedding, toilet lid broken, toilet clogged. There was never anyone at the desk. I’d expect better from a $60/night motel, and I paid over $170 a night here. As a pro: it was very quiet.

William (8/5): Good, Comfortable Stay - The staff was nice and accommodating. The room was in good shape. The shower drained poorly, however. The breakfast worker was an hour late. The coffee was not made nor breakfast set up until around 7a. The coffee I put in my cup at about 6:45 was cold and was from the day before. I used the microwave to heat it up and drank it anyway. There is some reno going on, but it was all orderly. One very positive thing was the quietness. The location is really good.

Well, ya we did... - I do think they were updating the building, there were rolls of carpet across from the front desk and a couple old dressers laying on their side in the hall way just down from our room so something was going on. However, we did have a phone in the room but it didn't work, it took a couple minutes to figure out how to get the shower to run, we did have GREAT water pressure though. There also was NO exhaust fan in the bathroom so you better shave before you shower. I was surprised but not too disappointed that you aren't using tall toilets, us old folks like that. We also only got one roll of TP, my Wife is a real TP user so we notice that. Hmmm, what else. The breakfast was OK, I'm not a friend of instant eggs or chicken sausage but you did have really good coffee and Otis Spunkmier muffins. I don't think you can get much better that Otis's muffins and cookies. I was down in that area 50 years ago when my sister was attending Asbury and was amazed how much has changed with the college and town itself, I know there is a lot of new stuff there and more coming and CILS was picked because of it's current out of town setting which will be changing i'm sure. We went down there to go to the Gold Flame Dicast store, and Highbridge. I might be back in a couple years, it would be nice if you could lower prices just a little.
David (4/5): Work needed - Hotel was better being renovated however our room appeared to have been finished. Water would not drain out of the sink very quickly. Handle on shower was loose and felt like it could fall off. One tile by shower floor was loose and fell off.
Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - The stay was horrible. The water was cold the next morning for showers and we had 4 people that needed showers. Also the tv was hard to get on, we had to reboot all equipment. The breakfast was very slim in variety. The bed spreads had stains. The washer and dryer was down. The front desk person was on outside smoking and he seen me waiting to be seen when we first got in. He continued to smoke. Someone hung up on me when I called for rates. Overall l bad experience, will never stay again.
