• Liliia (10/5): Complete relaxation and a full reset. - During our two-week trip to Thailand, we stayed in four different hotels (ranging from 2,000 to 6,000 THB per night), and this is the only one we can truly say we would come back to. The vibe here is absolutely amazing. People in Thailand are generally very friendly, but here you can really feel that the kindness is genuine, not just professional. The massage was wonderful:) highly recommend. We actually had a more expensive and worse massage on Phi Phi. I don’t understand the negative reviews about the breakfast. Yes, there is no typical buffet or huge selection, but everything they serve is very tasty and well-prepared. I recommend the potatoes with eggs and bacon, or boiled rice with pork. For dessert, I had pancakes with peanut butter and strawberry jam - delicious! This is the cleanest beach on the island, and the snorkeling right in front of the hotel is the best we’ve experienced. They provide free masks and fins, so you can easily enjoy the underwater world. If you forget SPF, you can buy it at the reception for 500 THB, the same one we bought in Ao Nang for 720 THB. Drinking water is unlimited and free. The sunbeds may not be the most comfortable, but there are very cozy bean bags which make up for it. In my opinion, this is the best hotel on the island. Coco Cottage doesn’t have a nice beach (it’s more of a reef area), and Thanya is a large resort with many people, so you don’t get the same peaceful and private atmosphere as here. As for the restaurant: the pizza is tasty and the cocktails are great. I also really appreciated the eco-friendly approach, with no cheap plastic sunbeds that would ruin the aesthetic. Highly recommended ✨ In my opinion, simply filling the holes in the walls and repainting them white instead of that ugly beige would already be enough, and no one would lower the rating because of it 🙂

Der komplette Strom hängt an der Zimmerkarte - fehlt diese kann in der Zwischenzeit nichts auf dem Zimmer geladen werden. Eine Strandtasche wäre praktisch.

• Martin (4/5): Leider nicht wieder - Eine sehr schöne Insel, schöner Strand und ein toller Blick aufs Meer und umliegende kleine Inseln… teilweise sehr herzliche Personal, welches um den Gast bemüht ist. Die Anlage ist bodenständig und hat einen gewissen Charme, an zahlreichen Stellen werden die Erwartungen aber nicht erfüllt. Die Zimmer sind sauber, die Einrichtung aber teilweise schon abgewohnt und in die Zeit gekommen, das geht auch ohne einen hohen Anspruch deutlich besser und einladender. Auch ist das Frühstück eher dürftig, überschaubar die Auswahl am frischem Obst, eher dominiert von convenience Produkten, langweiliger Toast, wässriger und künstlicher Orangensaft (und das inmitten einer Gegend in der viele frische und regionale hochwertige Produkte verfügbar sind). All das wir dann gestoppt durch tägliche, penetrante und schlechte Livemusik von einem der Hotelangestellten, beginnend am späten Nachmittag bis in den Abend - man kann sich dem, wenn man einen Drink nehmen möchte oder im Restaurant essen, leider nicht entziehen.

• Natascha (6/5): - Die Lage ist unschlagbar. Direkt am Meer und einen wundervollen Blick. Die Zimmer sind stark sanierungsbedürftig. Die Klimaanlage von 2010 hat mehr schlecht als Recht funktioniert. Sie ging die ganze Zeit aus und kannte nur vollgas. Die Bemühungen des Personals waren eher gering, hier Besserung zu schaffen. Der Toilettensitz sowie das Waschbecken waren nicht mehr richtig fest, sodass es immer verrutscht ist, wenn man es berührt hat. Der Spiegel im Badezimmer wurde auch nie gereinigt. Die Betten sind eher hart und die Kissen sind sehr unbequem. Zum Glück konnte das Reisekissen aushelfen. Allgemeine sind die Zimmer hellhörig, dies kann schön sein, da man die Tierwelt vor der Hütte hören kann. Man braucht jedoch einen guten Schlaf, um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Das Frühstück hat was man braucht, man muss es sich allerdings mit ein paar Ameisen teilen.

Also I do not like group trips where you spend only 20 minutes at a location. So they organized a trip just for me and I could snorkel to my heart's content. The display on the air conditioner in the room is very bright. Not a fault of the resort per se, seen the same units at other places. But I had to sleep with a blindfold 😄

• Signe (2/5): Paid for first-row sea view, got second row and no support from staff - We were required to pay the full amount upfront, which in hindsight should have been a warning sign. We paid extra for a Sea View Bungalow – 1st row, based on the beautiful photos shown when booking. However, the bungalow we received was clearly second row, with a massage hut and two other bungalows in front—there was no beachfront feeling at all. When we raised this with the staff, they simply said “sorry” and insisted it was a first-row bungalow, which is misleading and unacceptable. Especially in high season, it seems they sell second-row bungalows as first-row. The lack of care or willingness to understand our disappointment from the receptionist completely ruined the experience.

• Isabelle (10/5): Super schöner Aufenthalt im Paradies - Unsere Lieblingsunterkunft auf einer 5-wöchigen Thailandreise! Die Bungalows sind zwar einfach gehalten, aber bieten alles was man benötigt. Das Frühstück war lecker, man konnte mit den Füßen im Sand zu Abend essen, direkt am Strand eine super Massage genießen und unser Kleinkind fand die Spielecke super. Am Strand gibt es gemütliche Sitzmöglichkeiten und Schaukeln von denen man Nashornvögel in den Bäumen beobachten kann. Irgendwann kommen wir bestimmt wieder!

Wyjeżdżaliśmy z wielkim smutkiem, na pewno tu wrócimy - Niesamowita lokalizacja, najpiękniejszy ośrodek na Koh Ngai Niestety w restauracji jest drogo, a kuchnia się nie broni. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig mit gute Auswahl und exzellentem Cappuccino. Der Sänger, der sowohl zur Happy Hour als auch am Abend das Resort beschallt hat und leider seinen Beruf verfehlt hat. Das war der Grund, warum wir uns zum Essen andere Restaurants ausgesucht haben.

• Julian (9/5): Wunderbares Resort am ruhigen Traumstrand - Das Mayalay liegt an einem traumhaften Strand auf Koh Ngai mit großen, sauberen und zweckmäßig eingerichteten Hütten. Lobby und Restaurant sind offen direkt am Strand. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist gut und man wird definitiv satt. Die Pizzen im Restaurant sind wirklich gut, ansonsten haben wir lieber in einem sehr guten Restaurant am Strand gegessen. Die Massagen sind qualitativ durchschnittlich. Toll ist die Ruhe auf der Insel und die Natur. Überall am Strand sieht man Nashornvögel. Insgesamt ein wirklich sehr schöner Aufenthalt, den wir gerne wiederholen würden. Der „Musiker/Sänger“ war gut gemeint, jedoch hätte er besser nur Gitarre gespielt. Wir empfanden die Dauerbeschallung ab 16:00 Uhr als störend.

Camere semplici ma ottime ( ho amato particolarmente il bagno luminoso). Colazione a buffet e ordini a la carte compresi. Vista spettacolare. Particolarmente apprezzata l’ attenzione al riciclo e all’ invito a usare il distributore di acqua filtrata piuttosto di quella in bottiglie di plastica ( che in Tailandia sono veramente ovunque). Mi pento solo di non avere fatto un massaggio lì, sembravano ottimi

Nous souhaitions un extra bed que nous avions confirmé 1 mois avant notre arrivée et jusqu’à notre arrivée ils semblaient le découvrir. De plus l’hôtel est situé sur une île très éloignée et à aucun moment on nous prévient des coûts importants pour y arriver. Normalement un bateau (long tail) effectue la traversée (coût : 50€) mais si les conditions météorologiques ne le permettent pas, vous devez opter pour le speedboat (coût : 150€) a aucun moment on nous prévient de ces coûts ! De plus, nous avons débarqué dans la nuit, dans la mer (eau au niveau de la taille) pour arriver jusqu’a l’hôtel.

• Emma (8/5): Avslappnad stämning på underbar ö - Perfekt läge på en underbar ö. Här är livet skönt och lugnt. Bra bad och snorkling precis framför hotellet och vi bokade en lyckad utflykt genom hotellet till Emerald Cave. Det bästa med boendet är läget, den härliga restaurangen och den underbara personalen som gör allt för att du som gäst ska trivas. Bungalows är enkla men rymliga och har allt du behöver. Avslappnad stämning på resorten. Vi tyckte mycket om våra dagar på Mayalay och skulle gärna åka tillbaka. Tack! Standarden är enkel, men det är också en del av charmen. Du lever nära naturen - bara meter från både djungel och korallrev - men det kan kan också innebära mygg och några kackerlackor på rummet. Sängar lite väl hårda för vår smak. Solsängar och utemiljöer skulle behöva en uppfräschning.

Frühstück gut. Wer ein Zusatzbett für ein Kind möchte, muss das unbedingt bei der Buchung extra beantragen. Wir haben zwar zwei Erwachsene und ein Kind angegeben, beim Check in wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass das Extrabett mehr kostet. Das gleiche Problem haben wir auch bei einer anderen Familie mitbekommen. Die Mitarbeiter waren aber sehr nett und sind uns entgegengekommen.

• Anna (10/5): - Amazing location, very nice bungalows. Very nice breakfast with choice and good coffee. Very boutique level nice experience Wi fi sometimes not stable
• Daniel (10/5): Must have - This hotel is amazing. The team working there is wonderful, they are helpful and friendly.
• Håkan (10/5): Paradisö - En fantastisk ö och resort för avkoppling. Vi var här med hela familjen ett par dagar. Frukosten var fantastisk och personalen underbara. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka igen. Bra om man tar badskor med då vissa partier av stranden är vass av korall och snäckor.
