- Erkki (10/5): - The location is very convenient. It's about 3-4 blocks from the Sapporo station and also a walking distance of interesting things to see, such as the Clock Tower (100m), Odori Park (200m) and the TV Tower (300m). There are numerous restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful - and at least two of them spoke English (so, not all of them). The room was clean, even if a bit worn out. Sound insulation was excellent. I had a Japanese style room, but there was a proper spring mattress on the tatami floor and a couple of chairs (pretty low, but fine), so you don't need to sit on the floor if you prefer not to. I think this hotel is good value for money.

- MIKA (8/5): - 建物は古いですが、室内はリノベーションしてあるようです。DAIKINのエアコンもついていましたし、お手洗いも。空気清浄機も置かれていました。ドライヤーはピンクで「どこの？」と思ったけれどPanasonicのでした。何の・・というのがわからないのですが独時の匂いがちょっと苦手だったのと、コンセントが少ないこと、タオルがフェイスとバスのみでハンドがなかったこと、飲み物が緑茶１つだけだったのが残念だった点です。朝食付きにしましたが、トーストセット、美味しかったです。他にサンドイッチセットまたはおにぎりセットが選べるようです。駅からも近く周りに飲食店も多く、色々含めてリーズナブルなお宿と思います。

- Sarai (6/5): - What I didn’t like was how the whole property smelled old and how the rooms looked outdated and old. I also wished there were more outlets to charge my devices. The only pros were that this hotel was close to Sapporo Station and many of the important landmarks of this city, and that the staff was kind. Also, be patient with some of the staff who doesn’t speak English.

- Lee (10/5): - 서비스 최상, 그리고 '키큰놈들 다 죽어' 숙박기간 2024.11.3~5 숙박호수 409(문이 잘 안열리는점은 주의) 전통있는 호텔인 만큼 직원들의 서비스가 최상이었습니다. 어려울 법 한 질문(근처 맛집 추천)등에도 친절히 답헤주셨으며, 대여용 무료 우산 배치, 식사 장소 및 만화책 구비 등 서비스의 품질이 4~5성급 호텔과 비견될 정도였습니다. 가장 인상깊은 부분은 엘리베이터를 타고 올라갈때 직원분께서 고개숙여 인사해주셨는데, 저도 모르게 함께 고개를 숙일 정도로 서비스에 감동받았습니다. 단 하나 아쉬운 점은 전통있는 호텔인 만큼 1-2층을 이어주는 엘레베이터가 없어 캐리어를 직접 끌고 계단을 올라가야 하는 점입니다. 장애인, 고령자 및 임산부 등의 숙박은 어려울 수 있습니다. 다만 (이용하지는 않았으나) 프론트에 요청하는 경우 짐을 들어다 주실 것을 기대할 수 있는 서비스 수준이었습니다. 전통있는 호텔 특유의 향(혹은 냄새)가 날 수 있으며, 전통있는 호텔인 만큼 과거에 지어진 관계로 170cm 이상 숙박하시는 경우 샤워 도중 머리가 천장에 닿습니다. 조식도 서비스하고 있는 것으로 알려져 있습니다(본인은 이용 x). 위치 면에서도 근처에 삿포로역은 물론, 시계탑, 오도리공원, 그리고 스스키노(걸어서 20분) 등이 위치해 있어서 도보로 간단하게 사진찍는데도 편리했습니다. 결론적으로, 삿포로에서 이용가능한 호텔 중 최고의 서비스와 접근성을 자랑하는 호텔입니다. 물론 이 모든것이 합리적인 가격 안에서 이뤄지는것도 메리트입니다. 1-2층을 캐리어를 들고 올라갈 수 있는 힘만 된다면 말입니다.

- KENICHIRO (10/5): - 昭和レトロ感の有るホテル。確かにふるいが、ちゃんと綺麗にしています。横に時計台が有り、正に札幌市の中心地。フロントメンバーの対応も素晴らしい。 部屋は、確かに老朽化していますが、掃除も行き届いており最高。部屋の鍵は大昔の「鍵」スタイル。懐かしい！ お出掛けの折は、フロントに預けて！ってのも良いね。 必ずまた止まります。

- Chikako (4/5): 壁が薄いので、音に敏感な方にはお勧め出来ない。 - 高齢の母の為に代理で３泊予約しました。 レビューを事前に読んでフロントの2階までは階段があると承知していましたので、その点には不満はありません。 しかし、１泊目を終えたところで、母から宿を変えたいと連絡がありました。話を聞くと壁が薄く隣のカップルであろう夜の声が酷く、とても動揺していました。 レセプションに連絡したところ、昔ながらのホテルですのでと言うお話しで、満足のいく提案などはありませんでした。 札幌駅から近く利便性は良いですし、レセプションの方の対応に理解は示しますが、もし家族や子供連れで宿泊される方は、その点を考慮し予約された方が良いと思います。

- Verified traveler (6/5): 外観は古いが穴場かも - 建物は古いものの、内装はきれいで清掃も行き届いています。 朝食（トーストセットを選びました）もとてもおいしかったです。 浴槽はほぼ入浴ご無理なサイズでしたが少し疲れたのでお湯を溜めたところ、洗面台の下からお湯があふれてきました。 点検したほうがよいかもしれません。 あと昔ながらの物理鍵ですが、少し建て付けが悪くなっており施錠が固かったです。 最近はアメニティが有料化されていることが多い中、きちんとそろっているのはありがたかったです。 隣のビルと1mもないくらい近接しており（手が届くレベル）、窓からの眺望は全く期待できませんが、すすきのにも近く出張時の拠点としては穴場と言えるホテルです。 北海道出張時にはまた利用したいです。
- Corey (10/5): - This was my first time in Japan and Sapporo and I could not have picked a better place to stay. The hotel is very easy to find as it’s very close to main station but it’s also a very walkable distance from all the main sites downtown. The staff was courteous, kind and patient. They made me feel at home while away from home. The hotel along with the room was very clean and well maintained. I am a fan of the old brick style entrance as well. Only criticism I have was the wifi on my floor was not very strong. Given I was out and about for much of the day it wasn’t a huge inconvenience but it was unfortunate at times. Thank you to the hotel staff for hosting me. If I am to ever come back to Sapporo again Hotel Tokeidai will be my first choice.

- Matthew (10/5): - Japanese hospitality at its finest. Property is outdated but everything is in good working condition. I would recommend this property to anyone without wheelchair accessibility concerns. The hotel is surrounded by 4 shopping centres which have underground access to Sapporo station. It is also right next to the orange line bus stop which services the local area and the Sapporo beer museum. Wi-Fi is free but only fast enough for e-mails and light streaming. We paid around $70 CAD per night for a room with three double beds, 2 person couch, and a massage chair. We stayed in May 2024. I don’t think you can find better value anywhere else if you are able to overlook some of the minor issues.
