• Tracy (10/5): Wonderful place to stay while you explore Lucca and the area. Highly recommend. - Cute, quiet, lovely staff, great breakfast, very safe. Perfect location: nice grounds and facilities, loved the short walk into Lucca proper and is also close to the river trails. They were so patient with all our questions and their restaurant recommendations were spot on. Was a fabulous place to spend 5 nights before the chaos of Rome. I miss your wonderful cappuccini and variety of your breakfast offerings and those fuzzy blankets in our room, but also your smiling faces. Grazie mille! Frühstück ist reichlich und war perfekt. Die Zimmer geräumig mit schönen Bad. Betten sind angenehm. Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Grazie mille! -

Keine 4 Stern Bewertung, sondern 3. - Die Nähe zur Altstadt, etwa 10 Minuten gemütliches Gehen, sowie die Parkmöglichkeit direkt vor dem Haus, im Gartenareal, waren hilfreich Beim Empfang durch den "Owner" wurden wir sehr resolut über die Unterkunft informiert, obwohl der Ablauf (Karte einstecken, damit im Zimmer Technik/Licht funktioniert etc., bekannt war und die insistierende Art, wie wir immer wieder darauf hingewiesen wurden, dass die Unterkunft "special and different" ist, waren nervig und langwierig. Die Öffnungszeiten zum Betreten der Unterkunft waren sehr verwirrend, doch hatte man uns eine Karte ausgehändigt, die das jederzeitige Betreten durch die Seitentür ermöglichten, war daher okay. Handtücher können täglich gewechselt werden, jedoch gegen Gebühr von 5 Euro. Das Frühstück war gegenüber anderslautenden Gästekommentare sehr karg, also keine 4-Sterne-Bewertung...

• Connie (8/5): Extra charge - This was a beautiful property. 1.2 miles to the old town center. The spa shown on the photos is an extra charge of 20 Euros per person for 1.5 hours with 24 hour notice. Overall very comfortable and a nice breakfast.

I am an experienced traveller all around the world with a lot of trips done…and is the first place that someone made me pay 30 euros for a late check in…I understand that you could have a period for the normal check in but the hotel should have an option if the person is not planning to arrive by that time… I think that a penalty of 30 euros for arriving after the check in time is something rude and can change all the experience. After doing the reservation I received the information about that penalty, but It is not written in the booking information and that should be also written because that can change the decision for booking. The rest was ok for the price.

The host was incredibly sweet to us. The property has bicycles to rent which is just perfect to explore the walls of Lucca. Would definitely check in again in case we return in Lucca The buffet breakfast was rather simple, not so many options to choose from. Also it was a little cold in the room at night.
• Marco (10/5): - Beautiful refurbished older mansion turned into a charming B&B. The on site secure parking was a big plus. The entire team attending to guests was extremely helpful and friendly. Everyone always shared a warm smile and sincere greeting. Staff was at the ready with suggestions and helpful advice. Excellent coffee at breakfast. We stayed in the Puccini suite which had a balcony overlooking Viale G. Puccini. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Elevator for those requiring a lift. The location is very near Lucca's walled old town. You could drive (best to avoid that option unless you must), bus, or if you wish to get in a few extra steps, an easy 15 minute walk will get you to the Porta Sant'Ana entrance. There are some dining options in the neighborhood as well. Be aware that on Saturdays there is a mercato that sets up in front of the property and goes all day. You will want to move your vehicle to a side street the night before or risk not being able to drive off property. We were kindly given a heads up. Highly recommended.

• Toal (8/5): Very enjoyable stay - The room was lovely and location was good but you are on a main road so can be noisy. Only 10mins walk to the walls of Lucca so great for access. Spa is extra 20 euro each for hour and half. Didn't go so can't comment, not sure if in same building even. B&B was in-between shops so pictures suggest a bit more rural. No you are in the modern Lucca you see from the Walls of Lucca looking out. Also no Tea or Coffee in the room.

The bathroom and sleeping area were a bit small and we had to lay our suitcases out on the floor. The room could use a bench to put your suitcases on.

Kindly extended the checkin when our train was late. Thank you especially John Lucca who found my lost ring after emptying the vacuum cleaner! Breakfast was great set in a lovely garden room. Bathroom was modern and clean despite the lovely old charm of the hotel. Only 5/10 mins taxi ride from train station. 20 mins walk into the lovely old town. Just one thing is you do have to book the spa ahead if you want it. Hadn’t realised that before booking. Thoroughly recommend it.

• Salvatore (10/5): - We had a lovely 3 night stay here. The breakfast had nice "buffet" options. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We loved the remote controlled gated parking that allowed us to come and go as we pleased. It also gave us peace of mind that the car was safe since we kept some luggage in the car as we were traveling throughout Italy. It is an easy 15 minute walk to the old city of Lucca as this hotel is sitauted outside the city walls. I also highly recommend renting bikes since there is a bike path infront of the hotel that goes directly into town where you can bike the entire wall of the city. Lucca is a magical and majestic place. Enjoy!

• REGINA (2/5): Check in nightmare - Sleep on the street - Primeira noite eu dormi na RUA, porque não tem recepção neste Hotel depois das 7pm. Cheguei na cidade por volta das 9:30pm e liguei para confirmar que chegaria em 30minutos mas não me deram nenhuma opção a não ser esperar o dia seguinte! No dia seguinte tive que agendar a retirada das chaves as 4:30pm e ainda sim fiquei esperando 15 minutos (ou seja, não fica ninguem na recepção depois do meio dia). Perdi a primeira noite e dormi lá as outras duas noites. Se vc quer se hospedar numa casa com valor de hotel mas que não tem funcionarios durante a tarde e noite, que vc precisa agendar horario de chegada e dormir num quarto mofado, esse é o lugar! Durante a noite é um breu! Tem mtos hoteis na cidade, não escolham esse! Lindo por fora, tem estacionamento mas o resto nao vale a pena!

Initially booked another b&b inside the wall but didn't let us know they won't wait for us if we arrived after 7 PM until a few days before arrival. Found this b&b and spoke with Giuseppina. She was very responsive and accommodating. She even picked us up at FLR and charged us a very reasonable rate even though our flight was delayed and she waited for us more than an hour. We booked a superior double room. The room was very clean, spotless. Amenities were very good for a b&b, free bottle water in a small fridge, soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion in the bathroom. Breakfast was nice, coffe was made to order one cup at a time. Walking to the city wall was not far, coffee shop nearby and post office located across the street with ATM - got great exchange rate . Great staff, very pleasant stay.

• Sandra (10/5): A must-stay property when in Lucca - This beautiful property was wonderfully maintained and excellent services. Our room was very spacious, and always meticulously cleaned daily. The staff were always so willing to help and offered excellent suggestions when asked questions. Location was great, only 10-15 min walk to Centro Storico. They also had bikes you could rent for a fee that would get you there even quicker. Very happy and will recommend this to family and friends.
