• 322jeannea (10/5): Wonderful place - Shandra has been phenomenal to work with! Every room is a kitchenette provided with more than enough supplies that all I needed was my personal belongings! I have just been in awe of how wonderful everything has been!
• Rick (8/5): OK for a Night - We took a chance at staying here for a short getaway, knowing it was not a chain. It was nice, but a little rough around the edges. I would stay for a night, but probably would not stay for a getaway with my wife again.
• wendycE8898QQ (2/5): False website advertising - Shame on both trip advisor and this hotel. Listed as a 3 star “Boutique “ hotel , it’s actually a run down motel 6 on the busiest main street. Also it wasn’t advertised as an extended stay but it is. Looked like a flop house. Everything is in disarray. Again no mention when booking they were doing construction. The photos on line are completely inaccurate and false advertising. No way anyone could sleep with that road noise. It is an extended stay for ?.....who knows who would stay there. I told the manager I was expecting something completely different from the high ratings and photos on trip advisor he said he completely understood but had to charge me $50 cancellation fee because he could gave rented the room to someone else. Unless all the guests were walking in off the street I don’t know who he was referring to from the predominantly empty parking lot. Shame on the false advertising and trip advisor for rating this hotel as on of the top rated in Twin Falls. Not a “Boutique” hotel by any sense of the word. Never trusting Trip Advisor again
• HarrisIdaho (10/5): Wonderful little get away! - My husband and I booked a night here for a little getaway. It was perfect! The room was clean, comfortable and very cute! They had wonderful customer service. They were quick to respond to calls and answer questions. I was worried that checking in would be a pain with the COVID policies, but it was really smooth and quick. They were able to tell us the COVID regulations for the area, mask requirements and things like that, which was helpful. We braved the cold and jumped in the hot tub, which was clean and a nice way to spend the evening. The pool area is supper cute and I'd like to come back during warmer months and check it out.
• omM747TS (2/5): Did not feel safe - Not clean- Need nose and ear plugs. - URGENT! Please read. The pictures and review a are completely deceiving. The first room I checked into had a repulsive body oder. Have never smelled anything like it. Noticeable stains everywhere, missing towels, coffee, not vacuumed. After asking for a new room- I ended up in a suite upstairs. Smelled better, but the street and AC unit noise was very loud and I did not sleep well. Bought ear plugs for the first time in my life to sleep the second night. Lots of cars drag racing down the Blvd. And it got worse- there was a noticeable generator motor running underneath the room and it literally vibrated my bed. Not to mention I did not feel safe. The clientele was shady. I noticed a car with no plates parked on the side of hotel - two people in the passenger seat- steamed windows. I should have gone with my gut instinct and left to book elsewhere for the same exact price! My dog was miserable. There was a small 15’x15’ patch of grass for your pet to use. You could not walk across area w/o stepping in crap. Once home, I promptly washed all my belongings including myself and the dog. Fingers crossed I didn’t bring bed bugs home. I’m an Idaho native and have stayed at my fair share of older hotels. Most would be considered run down- yet clean. This one should have a disclaimer: requires tetanus shot prior to booking.
• Stephanie (2/5): I’d look elsewhere... - The room my friend got put in had not been cleaned. They moved her to the suite. That was awesome. The room we were in had a unique smell and stains on the furniture and floor. Outside there was dog poop on the sidewalks even though we paid extra money to have dogs there. The hotel provided poop bags and a spot for dogs to go, but that area was full of dog poop. There are people living in this hotel. That’s not advertised. The room above us vacuumed their room at 9:00 p.m. Many people sat outside in their cars or stood around smoking. There was a couple making out or more in the parking lot. I’ve been to Blue Lakes in before. I liked it. This time, it seemed seedy. I’ll be paying the same amount (or less without dog fee) at LaQuinta next time.
• Passenger746381 (10/5): Good place! - Overall solid place with electric vehicle charging. The hotel is decorated with rooms numbers and trimming that made it far more welcoming then a hotel with similar accommodations. Host was polite and check in went smoothly.
• 315jimw (10/5): Great Place to stop for COVID Protection - We travel regularly between Colorado and Oregon, stopping overnight in Idaho. The last two times, Idaho has been a Covid Hot Spot, so we have sought out places to stay that take the virus seriously. Besides having exterior doors to the rooms, they take their cleaning protocol very seriously as well as wearing masks. We were appalled to talk to one other motel in the area, who said they dont wear masks, and never encountered a customer to request it. Thank god for places like Blue Lakes! Great rooms... A bit noisy on a Friday Eve but we slept well. Friendly staff and Manager. Thank you Jon Paul.
• Abbagoowa (10/5): Family - What a treat! We rented 3 fantastic rooms for our family with adult children. We had a very well equipped kitchenette, roomy king-size bedroom with a steam shower in the bathroom that was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their king beds and comfortable sitting areas and we all spent time in the hot tub. We would have loved using the gas fire pits near the hot tub area if we didn’t already have New Year’s Eve bonfire plans out at the farm! Everything about the check-in and check out was covid safe and John Paul the manager was so friendly. He met us as we were checking out and showed us the ‘deluxe ‘ room—we thought we HAD the deluxe room! Definitely going to be staying there again, and the rates are excellent.
• rawleighb (10/5): Excellent Place to stay!! - My wife and I came down for a couple of days to stay and play. Our stay at BLI was great!!.....the Inn is beautifully done, lots of small touches that make the whole experience work so nicely!! Jon Paul, the property Mgr, was an excellent resource for us and everyone of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We even had our two big dogs with us and had a great room that was better than anywhere we have stayed with our two pups. My wife and I will be back and would reccomend a stay at BLI to anyone visiting Twin Falls. Thank you Jon Paul and staff!!
• Anniepdx0503 (10/5): Very nice! - Blue Lakes Inn was great. Good for Covid because there is an outside staircase to get to your rooms. It is close to the road, so it is a little noisy. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was great! We had a nice stay :)
• sandijosto (10/5): Road trip to Oregon - We stayed at the Blue Lake Inn for one night on our way to Oregon to visit our newest grand baby. We were concerned about cleanliness and safety during the pandemic and the specifically sought out hotels with exterior entrances to avoid common hallways, lobbies and elevators. The Blue Lake Inn was exceptional and exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness and attention to Covid safe practices. In addition the room was spacious and very comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Look no further because the whirlpool room at Blue Lakes Inn cannot be beat. Service is excellent. Staff went above and beyond for my special requests without question. I will be sure to schedule my work trips around this rooms availability.
• BrianTCP (10/5): Gem of a Hotel - My family and I were headed to Montana from California to see family, and we wanted to stop in Twin Falls to break up the trip. The Blue Lakes Inn caught our eye because of the wonderful reviews. We didn’t have great expectations - not for any reason specific to the inn itself, but more because not every review seems to reflect reality. I’m happy to say that this time, reality exceeded the rating. Blue Lakes Inn is a wonderful little hotel. It has the bones of an old motel but has been refurbished like a much more expensive boutique hotel. The rooms are well decorated and very clean. The other great thing about the inn is that it’s dog friendly. Despite this, the dog-friendly rooms don’t reek of other peoples’ dogs. Again, they do a great job. About the only drawback is that the inn is sidelong to a busy road, so one can hear a bit of traffic noise. It didn’t bother my family, but if you are sensitive, take that into account. The upside to that is that the hotel is convenient to dozens of restaurants. Blue Lakes Inn is a wonderful little boutique that has earned every star it’s received. We liked it so much that we stayed there on our way home as well!

• AWOL_Adventure_Sport (10/5): Perfect family stay-cation - I live here in Twin Falls and stayed at the Blue Lakes Inn for a family stay-cation. It was a great experience! My wife and I, along with the younger ones, had the family style room with a kitchen and beautiful bathroom. We put the older boys and their friends in the bunkbed room. The Inn is very clean and newly remodeled and the owner personally checked in with us to make sure we enjoyed the stay!

• Exploration558950 (10/5): Convenient Location - I stayed 4 nights for a business trip. Due to COVID restrictions extra precautions were put into place. A private check-in was safely arranged with JohPaul and extra sanitation efforts were put into place. There is an abundance of local eateries close by which was helpful due to the fact that Blue Lakes Inn is unable to provide their complimentary breakfast because of COVID restrictions. Management is helpful and kind. I will return again.

The bed was heavenly, staff was above and beyond helpful and just plain awesome and the interior design for the room made for such a welcoming and cozy feeling stay. While staying there, don’t forget to check out the amazing Hot-tub while your there for some extra relaxing time. It’s so worth it! I 100% recommend this hotel to all those wanting a high quality and high comfort place to stay. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you Blue Lakes Inn, see you next time!
• Curious267739 (10/5): A True Local Inn - JonPaul was very accommodating and offered us suggestions for dining options. The room was clean and well appointed. We parked right outside our door- no long halls to walk down or elevators to ride up. This seems a nice option especially during the COVID pandemic.

Our reservation was transferred to the Fairfield Inn and there were too many things that went wrong to list here but let’s just say the Fairfield Inn was not happy with the situation and they are DEFINITELY NOT dog friendly!!!

The WiFi was really slow and the cable was pretty glitchy. Breakfast wasn’t ready until 6:45am and finally a ‘dog friendly’ hotel that charges a $35 (over 20% of the room rate) should not be listed as a pet friendly hotel. We would have stayed at a LaQuinta because the dog rate at Blue Lake made it more expensive.

• Mary (10/5): A great comfortable place - The hotel was very clean. The bed was especially comfortable. I accidentally left some items behind and staff were very helpful and kind about putting them aside for me till I can return.

Also with designs specific to each room, it feels almost homey. We would recommend this place to any one in need to make a pit stop in twin falls. Very nice decor, and comfy bed. Because there is always room for improvement, I would say got to change the pillows that are hard foams as soon as possible. Softer towels would be nice too.

I called the phones multiple times and left voicemails, but nobody was around to help me. I ended up NOT staying at this Inn and had to get another room at a different hotel. Please give me a refund.

• Cynthia (4/5): Bare minimum - This place was clean, but disappointing! We pulled in at 10pm. I Needed a hot tub after an 8 hr. Drive & the pool closed at 10pm😣 To get ice, I walked all over to find a machine, which I finally found in the office downstairs. No elevator to get my suitcase upstairs. No wash rags in the bathroom. Only 1 small bar of soap. No one answered the phone to the office! Breakfast was minimal & not very good!

Small, unique, recently remodeled, spotless, excellent little outdoor pool. Good customer service and nice breakfast. We will be staying there again.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - This is an old-school "motel style" inn, but it has been updated to modern standards. The rooms are comfortable and clean with a good mix of modern flair and retro utility. The breakfast offerings are good -- real bacon, sausage, and eggs; pastries, yogurts, and juices. No decaf coffee, though (not important for most people, I suppose). Great cookies at the front desk. There's a small outdoor pool and a hot tub, too. The owners are deeply invested in making the experience good; their passion shows. We did have a little trouble with getting our room regularly serviced; they were have a bit of an issue with some of their cleaning staff. That can happen and we took it in stride.

The outdoor pool area has a range of seating and even a grill area; if we stayed here again on a road trip, we would plan to back something to grill and enjoy a meal sitting outside. On this trip, we got carry-out to eat on the patio which meant more time playing in the pool for a kid who had been in the car all day. There were also other seating areas and warm chocolate chip cookies. Our only complaint is that the breakfast doesn't begin until 7am. We had a 10-hour drive back home, so wanted to leave Twin Falls before 6:30am. We had checked the hours breakfast was served on the website and stayed at this hotel even though it was a little pricier than others (for good reason) partly because we thought we would also have a higher quality breakfast. As it turns out, we paid more for a (much nicer) room, and then also spent $20 on breakfast and coffee at a coffee shop on our way out of town. But if our schedule allows, we will stay here again--we just wish they would change the website.

When Checking in, go to room, there is a "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging on door....Room not clean, serviced or usable. No One to Answer phone to help. No Response. No Service. No Sleep there. Car was very uncomfortable. Would not recommend this hotel.

• Wayne (10/5): Perfect Stay! - Friendly staff on check in and all interactions with staff. Larger, comfortable rooms. Warm breakfast in morning was a step above what usually find at a motel’s breakfast. Extended out stay by a night we enjoyed so much.

• Pamela (8/5): Perfect for the Price! - Great lobby and rooms. The outside of the building could be updated, but the rest of it has been remodeled for comfort, style, & hospitality. The free mornin breakfast is wonderful, the staff was very friendly, & the beads were comfortable! Make sure to check out Jarritos for dinner! Great friendly serivce & delicious micheladas & al Pastor tacos! Just a few minutes drive from the Blue Lake Inn!

• Marie (10/5): - Very happy that I chose this hotel for our visit to the area. At first glance, it might look like a motel but as you discover its decor, amenities and friendly staff, one soon realizes what a gem it is. Upon early check in, I was offered a ”pampering” gift bag which included among other thing a $10 coupon to a local beauty salon. Breakfast was tasty, offerings both continental or eggs/bacon options. Not to forget the delish homemade chocolate chip cookies: the thick, heavy goodness sits on the counter and begs to be enjoyed 😁 Overall, a very enjoyable stay, right off the main drag and close to many businesses.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed! - We were expecting a great motel with a 9.5 rating. It was very outdated. Looked like a 1960-70s era from the outside. Had what looked like lockers between the beds. No one was there over night to give a wake up call. Clock radio was unplugged. We were very disappointed!

• Thomas (10/5): - This remodeled motel is a good value and I'd recommend it to anyone passing through Twin Falls. Friendly staff that cares about you and the takes good care of the rooms. Good breakfast too.
• PJP (8/5): - Nice little inn that they have recently remodeled. My only big complaint about the room was the window coverings. We were on the first floor so people walking by could look in easily. The blinds were a little narrow for the windows so you could see in and out, and the black-out curtains were not wide enough, so to make it so no one could look in we had to catch the edge of the curtain in the door to hold it over. I think that really needs to be taken care of! The other small complaint was the lamps. The on and off switch was way down the cord, so you had to fish out the cord to turn them on or off. Rather inconvenient. I thought the breakfast was one of the best I have had. It was some of your basic fare, but I felt the little omelets actually tasted good! Most hotel's eggs are pretty gross. Very small eating area though. Try to time your breakfast during a not so busy time. One thing to keep in mind also is that the doors are on the outside so you will hear the busy street traffic at night, especially if your room is close down by the office. Would I stay again? Probably, but it will not be my first pick.

• Stephen (8/5): - Delightfully re-branded two-floor roadhouse. Individually styled room furnishings, outdoor lounge area and available grill patio plus jacuzzi and pocket pool. Cheerful check-in, clean rooms and discount certificate to Elevation 486 restaurant ten minutes away with a spectacular rim view of the Snake River at Centennial Park.
• D. (10/5): - Very nice would come back for another visit had a nice stay.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Never again - Long wait for check-in, only one person working. Were traveling with dog, no "dog friendly" area for dog to go to bathroom. Had to go across the street at another building to find grass. Manager was sarcastic and unpleasant.
• Cara (10/5): - Blue Lakes Inn is very conveniently located and surprisingly quiet considering it's proximity to a few main arteries through Twin Falls. Literally within 20 minutes of everything: Shoshone and Pillar Falls, Evel Knievel's jumpoff ramp, and amazing hiking and walking. I would stay here again when returning to Twin Falls.

The room was very clean and staff very friendly. I came to the conclusion that the bad reviews were written by people who were just having a bad day. I would stay there again!

• Daniel (10/5): Above and beyond - The office unfortunately closes a little early, I did not realize this on our trip in from Portland Oregon. But the young girl at the front desk was super helpful and thinking up a way to help me since I was coming in at 1 a. M. She went above and beyond when she didn't have to and that is service that you cannot ask for. Super amazing Hotel keep up the good work it was one night the experience was amazing. Everyone seems to care about keeping the hotel at its best and that makes the biggest difference.
