- Michael (10/5): An absolute gem - This is a gem of a property located at the margins of the Cairngorms. A sensitively renovated hunting lodge, providing comfortable accommodation and an excellent breakfast, it is ideally located for a visit to the Scottish Highlands, particularly the Cairngorms and the Rothiemurchus estate. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place.

Breakfast clearly used locally sourced produce which was a nice change from large chain hotels Couldn’t criticise anything. Steve and Tracey are excellent hosts.

Wir kommen definitiv wieder! - Nach kurzer Empfehlung (tolle Beratung!) hatten wir ein sensationelles Zimmerupgrade und waren damit sehr zufrieden! Die Lage war sehr angenehm und ruhig, Zimmer und Bett waren sehr gut, Badezimmer und Armaturen waren hervorragend! Wasserdruck war super, Parken 1a und kostenlos. Das Frühstück war in toller Atmosphäre und liebevoll angerichtet. Es gab frische Beeren und viel selbstgemachtes. Die Gastgeber waren überdurchschnittlich nett, zuvorkommend und angenehm. Nichts! Alles war super!

We voelden ons enorm welkom door de gastheer én gastvrouw. Het ontbijt was top: alles vers bereid, vers fruit en vol liefde en aandacht gemaakt. We zijn in veel hotels geweest, maar dit was echt uitzonderlijk goed. -

- Ken (9/5): Close to ideal. - Small, quiet hotel, a short walk from the village. Surrounded by its own grounds. Extensive views. Family run, and a warm welcome from the family. Good resident's lounge and a cosy bar with a wide selection of whiskies. Excellent breakfast. Possibly Scotland's most impressively engineered bath and shower! Good base for exploring the northeastern part of the Cairngorms National Park, the Abernethy Nature Reserve and the RSPB Osprey site at Loch Garten. No lift. No restaurant.

- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - This was one of the most beautiful places on our round trip through Scotland. We were there for two days and were overwhelmed by Dalrachney Lodge. It is an old, very beautiful and well-kept building that is very tastefully and stylishly furnished. The rooms and especially the bathrooms are very nicely furnished. Tracy and Steve are very nice, helpful and warm hosts with whom you can have good conversations. The breakfast is wonderful. You can have a wonderful time here.
- Ernst (10/5): Beyond expectations... - The current owners have only owned the property for two years but but they have worked incredibly hard during that time and that combined with a wide scope of skills and experience have turned the Lodge into something magical and unique...and their motto seems to be "exceed expectations"...they definitely exceeded ours...

Breakfast was fabulous, the room beautiful, and the location near a small village was lovely. Tracy and Steve were wonderful hosts and breakfast was delicious. Nothing. It was wonderful.

- Thomasina (10/5): Just lovely from start to finish highly recommended - A hidden gem just 2 minute gentle stroll from a lovely village. Lovely welcome and a super friendly feel. Really thoughtfully renovated leaving the old world charm intact but with modern convenience. We were treated to the piper on the bridgas we headed out for dinnin the village. We had a gorgeous breakfast looking out over the lawn and the deer walking through the garden was the icing on the cake. That I couldn't stay longer

Our room was lovely, our hosts were charming and caring, and the breakfast was amazing. On to of that, they were so concerned about us that one night when getting dinner out would be difficult they made special arrangements for us and gave us a delicious dinner at the Lodge, where they normally do not serve dinner. We will be back without question. Thanks Steve and Tracy for a great experience. Absolutely nothing! It was great!

Our room was large and so comfy. Steve and Tracy were absolutely lovely hosts (and cook!) We wish we could have stayed here longer.

We stayed in the superior king room for one night, and it was truly lovely. The bed was comfortable, the furniture was beautiful, and the bathroom exceeded my expectations. They provided a delectable made-to-order breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend staying here, and look forward to staying with these caring hosts in the future! Steve even gave us recommendations of places to stop along our journey that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. We stopped at the bridge in Carrbridge, House of Bruar and the falls behind it, and Hettie's in Pitlochry and loved all of these recommendations!

The stairs inside with the stained glass window, were very impressive. Add the breakfast in the morning, and it made the stay complete. Such great views from both the room and dining room were relaxing too. Not being able to enjoy more of the surrounding gardens and the bar inside too.

Excellent connected walking paths wind around starting with the Riverwalk path just a short stroll down the lane from the inn/lodge. Stay includes an exemplary breakfast with options for all tastes, custom made to order by the friendly host. Breakfast was served overlooking the grounds where baby rabbits grazed peacefully.

- Nicole (10/5): - Despite unfortunate and unforeseen events that rendered our confirmed room unavailable, our hosts made us feel welcome though we were early, and well looked after as they rearranged an otherwise full house to accommodate us. A gracious invitation to sample their splendid whiskey selection by way of compensation sealed the deal for us. A pleasant evening enjoying a game of Trivia at a nearby pub along with a delectable meal, was followed by a comfortable night in a lovely room. A full Scottish breakfast the next morning was the perfect way to begin our journey through the Cairngorms National Park. Thanks to our hosts and their warm hospitality, I cannot recommend Dalrachney Lodge Hotel more highly.

Beautiful rooms, very clean, super comfortable-best “sleep” of our entire trip, great breakfast! They were professional, but also treated us like old friends while we hung out with them in their very own bar that one evening. Reminded us of what B and B’s USED to be like back in the day. We weren’t there long enough to get to know our new friends better.

Quiet setting with nice views beyond its own grounds. The owners are nice people and couldn’t be more helpful. All good.

- Alison (10/5): The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We had a great 2 night stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to recomme - The hotel was a lovely old property with original features. It was peaceful, comfortable and in beautiful surroundings. The breakfast options were really varied with each option offering wholesome, good quality and well prepared food. Nearby the Cairn Hotel was perfect for evening meals. All in all a perfect base to explore the cairngorms.

- P (8/5): Very good - The new owners were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was tasty, fresh and filling. The grounds of the hotel are well looked after and have seating to enjoy the views. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk into the centre of the town.
