Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (10/5): - As we were walking out the door for vacation we found out that our prior hotel had canceled our stay without any communication or explanation whatsoever!!
After a mini freakout, I went onto Expedia and Sea and Sand Cottages was the first thing that popped up. I did some some glowing reviews and I had only a few seconds to skim over them before deciding to book.
I have to add to all those reviews. Check in is so easy, check out was breeze and Matthew was so wonderful. Very attentive and made the process stress-free.
The cottage itself is so cute, cozy and clean with plenty of room for everyone. The pool was warm and clean as well and even has some toys if need be. The environment is soo quiet and peaceful and very close to the beach and some shops/food.
We had a wonderful much needed time away and we are already planning our next trip out to paradise. 🌴 ⛱️ 🌞
- Hayley (10/5): - Excellent place to stay with a family. Owners are awesome. The beds are comfortable in all the rooms. Truly enjoyed our stay!!!
- margaret (10/5): - I absolutely loved the cottage. It was very cute and the cleanliness was top notch. One of the best stays I’ve had in Port A. The staff was excellent and super friendly.
- Ericka (10/5): - Our cottage was super cute and clean! Matt was very hospitable and made check in very smooth. My family only stayed 1 night but wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!
- Kristen (10/5): - This is a nice place to stay by the beach, Im happy I found it. It had dishes, separate rooms, a kitchen area, dining area, and a patio. We enjoyed every part of it. It was peaceful, clean, and quiet. There was nothing bad about this place, and that’s hard to find when you’re by the beach, they even have better last minute rates than the rinky dink motels around there. My whole family loved it and we are definitely going back.
- christi (6/5): - Cottage was t very clean. But nice and quiet stay for one night. Just what we needed.
- Amber (10/5): - It was a great stay, clean and the property manager was helpful
- Daene (8/5): - Its a cottage tiny home, cute. Had a smell to it. Pool was really nice 👌.
- william (10/5): - Had a great trip
staff was amazing
- Rhonda (10/5): - Overall, great little cottages in heart of Port A. A little older but still cute and comfortable. Good for families or just couples.
- Jessica (10/5): - Beautiful place
Really nice people
Will go back for sure
- Danielle (10/5): - Two things about the stay. is just stepping out the mosquitoes were rellly bad. They got in to house and we kept fighting them off
The water to rise off to get into the pool was super hot.
Other then that the stay was great. We really had a good time.
- ALEH (10/5): - Nice place
- Sonny (10/5): - I definitely found a great place to stay. The cottages are very comfortable!
- Michaela (10/5): - The owner was very nice and answered any questions i had
- Sheri (10/5): - Sea and Sands Cottages a peaceful and relaxing place.
- Kellia (10/5): Very cute & clean - Very cute little and clean cottage , communication was great and no issues with our stay. Has everything you need to feel like home!
- Julie (10/5): Yay Cottages and the Sea - Super clean, super convenient and a really fun, cozy place to stay thats close to everything
- REGGIE (10/5): - My wife and I liked the privacy we had. Friendly neighbors. Seems to almost be in the center of everything. 2 blocks to beach, 2 blocks to all stores, 2 blocks to restaurants and 2 blocks to favorite Brons Bar & Grill.
- penny (8/5): Great location to stay!!! - The Bungalow was clean and had all the amenities one needs. Roomy and felt homey. Only complaint was the A/C would not come off of low. I guess it wasn’t bad enough to call out management, just not a comfortable temperature during the day. I shut off all the rooms at night and the bedroom stayed cool. Overall a great stay
- Ziv (10/5): - Quiet service the best clean location best near the super near the shop and Bars and the people that serves you are friends and the best
- Timothy (10/5): - Great stay for the family! Clean & quaint, close to beach!
- Keith (10/5): - Easy to access and great staff to coordinate with
- Stephen (10/5): No problems, only pluses - Great cottage, fully equipped kitchen. (But bring your own, longer, grilling utensils.) Cookware is not non-stick, as noted by a reviewer. It is better— it's non-toxic stainless steel.
We even liked the soothing lavender walls and color scheme. Very friendly host, too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Toes in the sand weekend away - Quaint cottages with unique themes. Great location to main streets and beach. Excellent management, friendly host. Ideal for relaxing weekend away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cute homey cottages with a pool. Right near all the action. Definitely staying again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was wonderful! We would love to visit and stay again in the future! I would definitely recommend! My son and I walked to the beach and back! I didn't understand how to work the TV or get into the pool area but maybe it was the operator (me). Haha! Such a great location!! Thanks for hosting!
- Curtis (10/5): Awesome - Awesome little 2 bedroom bungalow with kitchen. Great for families and near the beach.
- Lisa (6/5): Okay Stay at the Cottage. - This was a last minute booking and my our stay was okay. I will start with Matthew was great with communication and recommendation for restaurants. I felt the cottage (#5) was lacking. It seems that the soap provided to us is the same soap for bathing, washing hands and the sink. Secondly, the floors needed to be mopped (dusty). We had problems with the TV and on the last nite they couldn’t get it to work. They do have pots and pans, but not a non-stick pan so it was not ideal for our breakfast items. For the money I paid for 3 nights, I expected a litter better accommodations.
- Rosario (10/5): - Everything was good great service friendly and cottage provided everything we needed clean pool everything was excellent
- Jennifer (10/5): Hidden Gem - Even though this property is not brand new I loved it. The Cottages were cleaned so thoroughly I was amazed. Especially during a pandemic. The pool that was just for the seven Cottages was awesome. It had a shallow end that was 9 in deep perfect for my three-year-old granddaughter. It also was kept amazingly clean. There was no loud music or disruptions at night either. The beach is close to 15 + minute walk away. However they offer a shuttle back and forth to the beach on your time. Can't wait to book a stay next summer
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fun Girls Trip Cottages! - We landed at these cottages when a booking at different place was cancelled without notice. Matthew was a wonderful host, and communication was excellent! These are the cutest cottages - have everything you might need for a low key beach trip - they aren’t glamorous, but we absolutely loved how cute they were! The pool was nice, and it’s a great location near downtown and the beach. We are looking forward to returning next year!
- Tina (10/5): - I appreciated the warm, welcoming staff and their willingness to meet us after check in time! When I called and left a message, the call was immediately returned! Room was nice, amenities and privacy of each cabin was great.
- Seth (10/5): A Pleasant Week at the Coast - We had a pleasant stay at Sea and Sand. The area is still recovering from the Hurricane, and its great to be able to help the local community recover with our business. Lots of great places to eat, close proximity to the beach, and comfortable amenities.
- Mary (10/5): - Our stay was awesome-close to the beach! Cottage #7 is clean and comfortable! Pet friendly too!
- Samantha (10/5): We will be back!! - From the moment we arrived we received a very kind and gracious welcome from the owner, Matthew. The other staff (housekeeping and maintenance) we met at the pool and they were just as kind and helpful with places to go for family fun and great eats. Six of us stayed, myself and husband, my parents and my two older teen sons in living room. The cottage is small but clean and useful. The interior and exterior paint appeared to be all new, likely because of hurricane Harvey. Bathroom and kitchen all looked clean and newly done. Full kitchen with all stocked plates, pots, etc. we enjoyed using the pool, there’s even a little shower right it takes of it to wash off the sand. There’s also a fish cleaning hut that we unfortunately didn’t get to use, but it’s nice that it’s on the grounds. Cottage is walking distance to the beach in less than ten minutes. We loved hanging out nightly at a local kid friendly spot, Brons, right down the street. Access to restaurants, grocery store, gas station and souvenir shop are just a couple of blocks down the street. I would definitely stay again.
- Kim (10/5): - This was our 1st trip back to Port A since Hurricane Harvey. It was wonderful see all the progress after the destruction. The Sea and Sands Cottages are perfect for our family. The owners are very friendly and very grateful for the blessing of the many families returning to the island. They have done an amazing job rebuilding, there are still signs of Harvey but those are the memories. We will see you soon Sea and Sand Cottages!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Matthew, property and cottage were all wonderful. Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed.
- Bud (8/5): Nice property, great staff - Nice facility, conveniently located to beach, restaurants, tourist facilities. Extremely competent and helpful staff.
- Brian (10/5): Great place - Nice and clean place pool is nice and new
- MARK (10/5): - I absolutely enjoyed my stay everybody was very kind and the pool was very enjoyable. Thank y'all very much!
- clopez7794 (10/5): - the manager was very helpful and I really enjoyed the cottage convenient to everything...
- Joshua (6/5): - Great place to stay for the money! Near town and the beach.
- Tina (10/5): Centrally located to all the Port Aransas Sights - We had a lovely time, hotel staff was helpful and gave great local suggestions. We loved having all the kitchen amenities and the cottages was a nice size for our family of 4
- Kathleen (6/5): Quite Adequate - Basic accommodations. Nothing fancy. Reasonably priced with good water pressure. Convenient to ferry, restaurants, beach, piers, and shopping.
- Mark (8/5): Great Port A long weekend - My wife and I (and the dog) stayed in the one bedroom king bed cottage at the end #7. Very clean and equipped with plenty of towels! The bed was very comfy. The kitchen was clean and functional, we cooked all our meals with no lack of tools whatsoever! Matthew was a pleasant host on site and readily available. We rented a golf cart at Bron's a block away for the duration of our stay, and that was a must too! Most definitely, we will return!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Several blocks from the beach. - Pretty clean. Hubby is 6'9 so kept hitting his head on the ceiling. Not for tall people lol
- Javier (10/5): Great spot - When we arrived the management was very friendly. The room was in great condition and was cozy. I will definitely be staying there again.
- JOHN (10/5): Loved this place! - No more than five minutes from everything in Port A, Sea and Sand is in a perfect location. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. Having a family of six; kids(4,5,6,12) I was a little worried about the space. To my surprise there was more than enough. The "living area" having room for a futon and small t.v. This worked out great for me, for after a long day on the beach we pulled out the futon, turned on cartoons, and in ten minutes the kids were lights out. And mostly that's were my 4,5,6 year olds slept every night leaving a queen bed for my 12 y.o. in a room, and a queen for me and my wife. There is one bathroom with a shower but no tub. We all showered back to back and did not run out of hot water. The kitchen is stocked with everything(pots, pans, plates, microwave, coffee pot, 4 burner stove, full sized fridge. One of my favorite things was the back porch. With a bench swing, lines for air drying, and a great breeze, this was one of my favorite place to relax. There is also a small grill out front of cabin, as well as a good fish cleaning station. Another thing I like is you park right in front of you cottage. Nice after a long day with tired little ones. I would come back in a heart beat. Very friendly staff, clean property, and great location.
- Jay (8/5): Port A fishing trip. - We really enjoyed it. Everything functioned well and the service was fine.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was awesome, 5 mins away from the beach, everything in town was so close and convenient
- Verified traveler (6/5): Quaint - Very quaint and clean. The windows need shades. VERY bright in the morning when trying to sleep past sunrise. No locks on bedroom doors BUT mainly none of the doors would close shut. Otherwise, wasn't to bad. We spent most of our time on the beach and not much in the cottage.
- LB (10/5): Great Location - We enjoyed our stay. The property is older; however, the cabin was clean, the air conditioner cold, and nice size for a family of four.
- Carl Hoover (8/5): Comfortable, quiet, short walk to beach - Pleased at older, but clean and comfortable cottage. Adequate kitchen, back porch w/ swing and clothesline to hang up wet beach gear. Small grill for cooking plus nearby shed to clean fish. 10-15 min walk to beach, one block from Port A's grocery store. Loose shower handle fixed within 30 minutes of reporting. Spotty wifi and small TV downside to kids and those who need to be wired.
- Family (10/5): Awesome stay - From the time we arrived until we left we were treated like family. Would love to stay there again next time we travel to Port Aransas. The cottage was very homey feeling loved the porch. Had everything we could could ask for and the manager was awesome.
