- Glenda (10/5): - Everything

- Andrew (9/5): Perfect stop for our Bodnant visit - Very friendly stall, excellent local knowledge
- Gourlaouen (8/5): - la chambre vraiment petite
- Hannah (1/5): -
- ruth (10/5): Excellent value for money friendly staff great food - Beautiful surroundings everything on your door step and great attention to detail, staff very friendly and food of a good standard Nothing it was all lovely ,bathroom was a bit dark as no window and light over mirror did not seem to work but did not put us off would definitely stay again
- Joanne (6/5): Disappointing - Good location, nice although this was not included. We started with a meal at the restaurant. They kindly squeezed us in although they were fully booked. However, the portions were ridiculously small and we were still hungry after 3 courses. The starter was 3 prawns and some stale pitta. Main tasted nice but not much of it. Dessert was about 1/5 the usual size of a slice of cheesecake. The room was well presented and fairly comfortable with lovely views. There was only one bedside table between two beds. Noise from the accommodation upstairs was very loud in our room. The beautiful hamper advertised on the internet was 2 packets of crisps, 2 shortbread biscuits and a very old apple and orange. Bath temperature was warm but not hot enough, the bath was lukewarm by the time it had run. No toilet brush. A shame because the potential is there to be so much better with a little more care and a few simple changes. Oh and if you pay for breakfast on booking.com it costs £70 more (for 2 people). Pay on the day for £12 each.
- Sue (8/5): - Breakfast was fantastic and the staff very helpful. We would have like to be able to breakfast earlier say 8.30. The room was clean and a good selection of complimentary food/teas - no coffee though. Views up the estuary lovely.
A great stay to enable our visit to Bodnant Gardens which were superb. The shower was mouldy. An easy chair in the room would have made relaxing easier. Only option was to sit/lie on the bed
- Heather (5/5): Location is great but the buildings need a little TLC. I.e. no light in the outside toilet - We received a £20pp voucher for breakfast and it was very good and the staff were friendly We got no welcome or goodbye. No politeness
- Milena (10/5): -
- Christelle (10/5): Yeahhhh - Everything Nothing
- Toni (10/5): - Everything. Lovely views, farmshop, comfy bed, lots of complementary food and teas An event going on at restaurant and so a bit noisy and couldn't use it. Cafe closed ast 4 which was alternative.

- Ravenscroft (1/5): Discusting! - The view was beautiful. It was a two night stay. The bathroom was filthy and the kettle was dirty inside and out cobwebs and dust around the bed lights, the bed sheet the lay on had human hair on it!
- Geoffrey (8/5): staff in shop were very helpful. - did not have breakfast, hard to find check-in, sign to check-in would help-at turn in.
- Mr A.S.Watson (10/5): Great stay - Treats were a nice touch. Coffees and tea good. All good.
- Cerys (3/5): It was a good job the weather, company and surroundings were great - Scenery B and weather and setting Accessibility of room
Dismissive interaction from manager
Additional charge for pets after approval
Poor communication - changing agreements - check in and pet charge
Lack of finish and lack of cleanliness in room
- Gillian (9/5): We really like the location and the fact that shop, cafe and restaurant on site if needed. - We did not book breakfast.
- Gary (6/5): Lovely, comfy room but with limited catering - Gorgeous setting and a friendly welcome. Breakfast isn't available until 09:30 - way too late.
Restaurant only open half the week.
Room and bathroom needed better cleaning.
- stephen (10/5): Everything was fantastic. Will be back soon. - Good coffee, good service, good food. The price, little bit expensive.
- Anne (3/5): What a shame, it could have been nice - Beautiful location The giant green light in the ceiling which was so bright there was no way to get a decent nights sleep. It was like the emergency light you might expect to see in the stairwell in a hotel to help with exiting during a fire, not something you expect in a bedroom. The lack of sleep spoilt my holiday. We didn’t find anyway to turn it off and the place seems to have no actual staff related to the accommodation. The bathroom was also rather shoddy.
- John (1/5): Very poor nor even a chair to sit on - Very poor nor even a chair to sit on Very poor nor even a chair to sit on
- Wendy (8/5): Wonderful and we will be back ! - Fabulous location and lovely , clean , comfy room with an amazing view . The bathroom lacked a place to put towels , maybe put a shelf up or a small set of drawers and rail ?

- Millar (9/5): - I would definitely stay again- lovely place, room very comfortable and staff helpful.
- Fane (7/5): -
- tracy (7/5): - Very dog friendly
Beautiful location
Lovely restaurant and breakfast staff Having been informed that breakfast was from 9am myself and other guests arrived to find the cafe where our breakfast was located to be closed & not opening till 10am.
The admin office i dealt with tried to 'pass the buck' & blame whoever had told us 9am even though I had an acetate copy of times & other onfo regarding the property. The rest of our stay, the cafe served breakfast at 9.30am which is still too late for a B&B to run in my opinion.
My mother's bed needed a new mattress, it was incredibly thin & dipped terribly on one side.
- PENNY (5/5): So much potential. - The location is beautiful .... the first room we were given was not suitable as a dog friendly room. The room itself was tiny, there was not enough room for a dog bed on the floor and it was up steep staircase.
We were moved to a larger room on the ground floor, which we paid extra for. However, this had a rug as floor covering which was torn and a trip hazardous. The underfloor heating was not working and the stone floor was very cold. The bathroom had not towel rail.
- Annette (10/5): What a great place - Beautiful location
- Becky (5/5): - Lovely area, nice farm shop and cafe. They don't inform you when you book that the restaurant and bar are closed on a Monday and Tuesday.
- Dawn (10/5): -

- June (6/5): A good night’s rest, but disappointing due to previous reasons. - Location. Comfortable and clean. I chose it for closeness to Bodnant Gardens and because it had an onsite cafe where we could get an evening meal and breakfast. The cafe wasn’t open in the evening and we were told that breakfast wasn’t available until 10am, when we would have left. We had to drive to Conwy for dinner and get breakfast elsewhere.
- Gault (10/5): Fantastic stay - I will return. - Breakfast was excellent - local ingredients too.
All of the staff couldn’t do enough to help and always exceeded expectations. Very friendly and informative.
Also it’s in a superb location in North Wales.
- ElizabethRosalind (5/5): A disappointing stay in a small room with a dirty bathroom - It was in a beautiful setting. Very quiet and peaceful The shower was dirty and grime. There was black mould in one corner. The towel rail radiator was dirty. Paint was peeling off a chair.
We couldn’t find our room. We arrived at 17.45 and a lady had called us while we were travelling to tell us to pick up our key from the table in the entrance hall.
We didn’t meet anyone while we were there. According to the photos there was supposed to be a welcome package of fruit, biscuits etc. But the basket was empty.
We couldn’t find our room and wandered around the grounds to see if there was another part to the building. Eventually we tried a door on the first floor which had no name on it and which we thought was a door to a private area. There were 2 other rooms through that doors besides ours. A sign on that door would have helped. Simple!
- Victoria (8/5): Very pleasant smart place - Beautiful location. Extremely comfortable beds and a lovely room. A little too far from eating places in Conway. Restaurant on site but not open Mon to Weds eve. Cafe and shop not open until ten in morning.
- Rachael (8/5): -
- Julie (9/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Fabulous - Everything was exceptional! I stayed in the single bedroom in the eves, it was charming, cosy, warm, clean and well - perfect!
In addition to the fact room, the restaurant and bar were exceptional! Food was outstanding and delicious wine too! I couldn’t have asked for more! Honestly - there was nothing I didn’t like!
- Ian (7/5): A good hotel, simple/clean. The food and staff exceptional. - During the out of season months hotel is only run on a skeleton staff, which I totally appreciate. Breakfast was offered to me at 10am however as this was a work trip, this didn't work for me. So they kindly extended that to evening meal instead of.
The evening meal was extremely good, the resteraunt staff and the food were exceptional. 9/10 on this area of the hotel The decor of my room was a little tired, people coming and going till gone midnight wasn't great, no staff on site after 4pm wasn't reassuring, if I needed anything or if id had encountered a problem/issue.
- Grainne (6/5): V cheap price so expectations met. Room was very small , fan heater , milldew in shower. - Breakfast not served until 10 am which was too late for me Breakfast too late
- Miranda (10/5): -
- June (9/5): Homely comfortable short stay. - Lovely area, very clean. Very nice amenities Navigating narrow stairs with suitcases. More suitable for local getaway than international travelers. Signage was also a little lacking.
- Rachel (8/5): A beautiful weekend, will definitely visit again. - We loved the fact that the on-site restaurant and cafe were so good. We also loved the fact the beds were so soft and comfy. We also loved that the room was so clean and had complementary snacks. It would have been helpful to be warned that there are flights of stairs/steps to the hotel/restaurant/room. An iron would have been appreciated too.
- Ellie (8/5): Weekend stay - Excellent location and stunning views! The room was clean and comfortable. Me and my boyfriend had a lovely stay. We really enjoyed the food and visiting the local area 😊 There were only a few suggestions...the booking stated half board but was not clear what this included as we were not aware there was an allowance toward evening meal. Which was a nice added extra!
The room could do with a freshen up. For example the kettle appeared to be old and marked.
It would be useful to have some extra lighting outside the enterance to the accommodation as in the dark it was hard to see steps and the path.
- jon (5/5): Disappointed return ! - Im afraid there was nothing I liked : ( Room was not cleaned / shower had mould
When we arrived at 5.45 pm we were told that the bar and restaurant shut at 6 - so not the best greeting !
I didn't book the breakfast as it was £20 per a person but thought we grab a coffee and a small bite to eat in the morning but the cafe didn't open until 10am
Plenty of tea but the coffee was Nescafe instant even though they had a cafeteria
Outside building light not working so quite dark with the step[s down to the path

- patti (5/5): Cute place, comfy bed, felt deserted on arrival, ad misleading - breakfast not included. - The room was clean and the bed was really comfy. The selection of teas were very nice. The building was a lovely stone farmhouse in beautiful location, but felt unoccupied and lonesome. The way the advertisement on Booking.com was written led me to believe that breakfast was included in the price, I did get an email saying it wasn't shortly before I travelled. I was traveling for work, phoned to say I would be arriving late, and was told how to find the accommodation. However the site was gloomy and the motion activated lights in the courtyard only worked when you drew alongside them, so a bit unnerving trying to find accommodation in large deserted complex. Didn't know my room was on the second floor, and it took me quite a long time to realise I had to head through a small firedoor and up yet another flight of stairs ( I know, I am a prat). The place felt empty and lonesome. I live on a remote hill farm and am used to walking the fields alone at night dealing with livestock, I am also used to travelling as a solo woman so not often unnerved, haha!. Just could have done with clear signs for the accommodation and for the rooms at top of house! Soap and shower gel dispensers didn't work. Sorry to leave a negative review, the complex must be lovely during the summer. Tiny room would have been worth it with a bit of breakfast included, even just toast!
- Betty (1/5): Just awful - Location Dirty bedding, stained headboards, mould around bath and screen, broken toilet seat, no wardrobe, nearly empty welcome basket which apparently would have been filled if we had booked breakfast, which I still don’t understand.
- Richard (9/5): -
- Sarah-jayne (10/5): Special place to bring people together. - Very old feel to the building keeping lots of original character. Expensive drinks at the bar.
- Jonathan (9/5): -
- Larnie (10/5): Excellent stay, perfect for dogs and in close proximity of Conwy town. Would highly recommend! - Lovely accommodation with fantastic views and close to Conwy town. Great value for money.
- Karen (10/5): Would go again! - Stunning location, peaceful, excellent food, both breakfast & evening meal! Comfy bed & loved the fresh coffee
- Andrea (10/5): An enjoyable 3 night stay in a beautiful location,in a spot within easy access to places of interest - Good breakfast menu choice.
Early 1 hr priority for residents an excellent idea.
Close proximity to the accommodation.
Friendly staff & prompt service. Not applicable.
- Rachel (8/5): Overall lovely stay and perfect location - Good but didn’t start until 9 .would have been good to be told . See above. Plus a bit of black mold in bathrooms
- Koolio (10/5): - Perfect location, views are stunning, staff all very welcoming the mix between the place being modern and old worldly is just perfect for having a get away. I think only negative would be socials online and website pictures need a good update to show off just how brilliant this place is.
- Amanda (10/5): Last minute Christmas Treat! - Location, history, warm welcome.
- Izabel (8/5): -
- Ann (5/5): It was ok but could have been better if all facilities were open - Good location, easy to get to nice and quiet. Bed was comfortable It really needed central heating and heater in the bathroom and a couple of comfortable chairs would have made a big difference the boiler for the rest of the building was in the bathroom and was very noisy all the time. Bar/restaurant were closed that week and we weren’t informed beforehand
- Dawn (8/5): -
- David (6/5): Lovely setting, let down by lack of access. - Nice enough room Not enough thought gone in to what is required in a self contained room, no info for wi-fi, how to work the heating, essential components required for a stay, simple things like where you can walk to from the accomodation, maps etc. The property is part of the Bodnant Estate which tells you there are plenty of walks around thebestate but not one piece of info to get youbon a trail or track.
- Thi (6/5): - We loved the view and the restaurant. The bathroom is nice and clean but very cold.. Our room didn't have central heating. There was only one plug in electric heater and it didn't turn on until we checked in. It took hours to warm the room.
- Angie (10/5): Great staff, so helpful and friendly - Great stay, loved the location, farm shop great. We had dinner here too with friends and food was delicious.Staff were amazing Small room but clean, complementary basket was empty
- Laura (10/5): This place is well worth a stay if you’re visiting North Wales. Not only do they offer lovely rooms, but the breakfast i -
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Warren (5/5): -
- Pauline (9/5): Over and above from Josh and waiter - Full of character Steep slopes
Overflowing bin outside
- Alana (9/5): - Lovely place to say, very peaceful and not too far away from places of interest. The farm shop and cafe are lovely. I’d definitely stay again
- ELAINE (9/5): - The room was very comfortable.
The evening meal in the Hayloft restaurant was excellent. The ambience was great.
Breakfast was very good. The cafe, where the breakfast was served was rather cold, as the heating wasn't working.
- Christopher (10/5): -
- Matteo (10/5): - We had a very pleasant stay at The Farmhouse at Bodnant Welsh Food in Conwy. The property offers free WiFi, a garden, a terrace, and a bar, as well as very spacious private parking.
Our room was lovely, well organised, and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with options for English/Irish, vegetarian, or vegan diets.
The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional.
The property also has a small shopping centre offering local specialties.
We really enjoyed our time there!
- Gill (7/5): Lovely location, great facilities - nearly perfect - Cute room in the attic - as a single traveller, I was in a single room, which was cosy and on a landing with just the two rooms. A lovely touch was the fruit (an apple and a banana) alongside the crisps and small batch shortbread biscuits. Plenty of tea and coffee, and the tea pot, bowl, side plate and cutlery made my brought in brekkie a breeze.
The staff were welcoming and I got the impression that they would've done what they could to meet my needs, so the negative side of this review isn't directed at them. I didn't give them a chance to amend anything - as it wasn't a huge problem for me, just an observation. The small room meant there was no table and chair, nor bedside table. I wasn't expecting a dining table, but there's normally somewhere to sit in a hotel room... But the absence of a bedside table meant I couldn't even sit in bed and drink/eat. I had to sit on the floor. Which is fine for me, but not ideal.
The shower had black mould and grime on the grouting. Now, I know how difficult it is to keep things spotless, but I rubbed at the mould and am reasonably confident that I could get it off with some bleach and a brush. So... What's their excuse?
- Cath (6/5): Lovely to stay at such great place - Looks lovely Beds were a bit soft
- Mika (9/5): Great quiet location, well worth the detour for the food alone. - Lovely quiet location, with beautiful views of the river and the valley. As well as the B&B on site, there is a cafe, farm-shop, cookery school, and lush restaurant. The place is underrated. They need to upgrade signage on the main road, to really advertise what is available on site, for the passing tourists, because the food alone is so worth a detour.
The food - breakfast at the Furnace cafe & dinner at They Hayloft - both absolutely delicious. Lemon posset was sinfully delicious, the stake cooked to perfection, oh the breakfast with local sausages scrumptious. We only stayed for a long weekend, but I tried to make my way through as many items on the breakfast menu as possible.
With both of these facilities available on site, we didn't have to wonder into town for dinner, which was perfect. Lovely atmosphere in the bar and the Hayloft restaurant. The staff was ever so helpful and polite.
Most importantly to us, absolutely love the fact that the place is almost entirely dog friendly. I was able to take my little furball with me for breakfast and dinner, without having to leave him in the room.
Bodnant Gardens are 5 minutes drive around the corner, so perfect - as also dog friendly. We spent a whole day there wondering around. It might be a B&B but with all those facilities on site the place felt more like a hotel.
Oh, you absolutely have to pop into the farm shop and get some Welsh Cakes first thing in the morning, when they're still warm. I ate all mine on the way home, well, actually within 10 minutes of getting in the car. Please consider allowing small dogs into the farm-shop. I appreciate the concern about food contamination, however in Italy dogs are allowed in special trolleys. In UK certian shops allow small dogs provided they can be carried. So I'd like to suggest for small dogs, to allow them to enter provided they are in a doggy carrier/stroller, which would keep them away from food. Especially helpful to single travellers.
Got to sort out that signage on the main road. It's a missed opportunity. The current simple signs saying Bodnant Welsh Food do not do the place justice.
In the small rooms, consider removing one of the side cabinets and substituting that with a chair instead & hang the lamp on the wall. It would create more usable space.
Last but not least, would be awesome to have USB / USBC sockets in the room. If you're a numb*ts customer like me who forgot the plug for my gadgets... I got stuck :-). One of those 21st century luxuries we like. Small change would make big difference. I’m just an opinionated customer who likes things a certain way.
All that said I had a fabulous stay and will definitely look to come back. I loved the food, loved the location, loved the 99% dog friendly vibe.
- Sophie (10/5): Lovely hotel. Really friendly staff and we had an amazing view from our room. Will definitely come again if we're in - Amazing views, friendly staff, comfortable beds and clean room NA
- Terence (5/5): The location was good but the room was disappointing - Good location. Good sized room. Good comfy bed. Good breakfast. Quiet. The room was disappointing. It felt tired and was not as clean as it should have been. It was a good size but the lack of attention to detail let it down hugely.
- Kinsella (5/5): - Just the locstion Tv was size of a mobile phone no nerflix neigbours was really loud brekfast was small not enough milks in room hairs in the shower
- Gibson (8/5): Would stay again but arrive early to get a meal. - Room was great. Clean, tidy and welcoming. Small touches like biscuits and crisps. Nowhere to eat after 8:30pm in my case. The restaurant closed after I had arrived and been for a shower. Also breakfast didn’t start until 9am which for me (and I suspect others) is quite late.
- Virginia (7/5): -
- SHANE (10/5): Lovely - Lovely setting and helpful staff N/A
- Ian (9/5): Fabulous for foodies but not early in the week - Fabulous room in a gorgeous, quiet location away from everyone. Lots of nice touches including free crisps and bottled water in the room. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, and staff were charming. Great farm shop on site. For a food-driven venue, evening meals are not available on Mondays or Tuesdays, which needs to be made much clearer when booking. Luckily, we had time to drive into Conwy and find a supermarket to make ourselves a 'picnic tea' or we would have gone hungry.
- Adrian (7/5): Not ideal unless you arrive good and early so as to enjoy the pleasant location. An unconventional breakfast situation. - Pleasant spot. Clean room. Helpful staff. The breakfast was good. Bar and restaurant closed too early. We arrived around 7:30pm. Had to rush to eat before the kitchen closed. And then again before the bar closed. The food wasn’t particularly well executed. Rather than a free breakfast you get a voucher for a set value to use in an onsite cafe. The cafe for breakfast didn’t start until later than I expected so we had to wait for it to open for 30 minutes. If you choose a coffee and a cooked breakfast it is enough. If you like to have some juice and a couple of coffees to get started it wouldn’t cover that.
- Rick (9/5): -
- Fane (3/5): Disappointed - Staff were friendly. Unfortunately the property is difficult to find. Although not far from Bodnant Gardens it is on a different road and sat nav doesn't take you there.
Most unfortunate was finding the loo in our room blocked but we were moved to another better room and given a couple of free glasses of brandy! The staff were very apologetic.
Our room was not cleaned during our two night stay.
- Dundee (10/5): -
- betsey (8/5): enjoyed our stay. - The food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast area was clean and tidy. 9 am start was a little bit late for us early risers.
- Tracy (10/5): -
- Gillian (8/5): - Surroundings, very tidy and clean area ,nice room ,very small but clean and quiet.
Restaurant ,Cafe and shop were lovely, staff all very nice and helpful.
All very dog friendly. Walk up to accommodation was dark at night as sensory lights in parts were not working .lights on both sets of steps at restaurant and front door of accommodation were not working either, so very dangerous, I used my mobile phone torch to see.
I did mention to staff who were very apologetic and said maintenance would be informed ,so hopefully fixed.
- Alexandra (10/5): -
- Daren (9/5): - Fantastic room, delightful food, friendly staff.
- Margaret (7/5): -
- nigel (8/5): -
- Ron (9/5): Fantastic location - Excellent view over river Conwy, excellent breakfast, really handy for the magnificent Bodnant gardens, Sash windows difficult to open, fire alarm went off at 10.05 pm for half an hour, a call or message that everything was ok would have been reassuring.
- Margaret (9/5): Would recommend to anyone. - We had a cosy room with wonderful views over the Conwy Estuary. A good selection of teas and coffee and biscuits.
The breakfast which was included was of good quality with plenty of choice on the menu. Also the Hayloft restaurant attached to the farmhouse was a beautiful space to enjoy our evening meal. The only small thing was the lack of signage as to where the accommodation was but that was soon sorted.
