This cruise ship's itinerary includes the following: 1st Day: Arrive at Hon Gai Wharf by 12:30 PM for embarkation. During lunch, sail through Bai Tu Long Bay toward Vung Vieng Village for an hour of bamboo boating or kayaking. Swimming and sunbathing at Ban Chan Beach follows until the boat cruises at sunset to the Cong Dong-Cong Do area for overnight docking and evening activities aboard the ship. 2nd Day: After Tai Chi on the sundeck and breakfast, head to Thien Canh Son Cave. After check-out, relax on the sundeck and watch as fruit carving demonstration. Lunch is served as the ship returns to Bai Chay Wharf by noon. Shuttle bus services transport guests to Hanoi by 4:30 PM. Guests must contact this cruise ship 1 days in advance to arrange transportation from Hanoi- Old Quarter or at Hanoi Opera House, which is 3.5 hours away by car. A roundtrip daily transfer from Hanoi to Ha Long departs from 8-8:30 AM, at USD 15 per passenger. Following the cruise, a van will transport guests back to Hanoi.

- hazel (10/5): Would highly recommend. - I've would highly recommend Garden Bay cruises. The level of communication was excellent as I had to change arrangements a couple of times beforehand. We had a balcony room which I would definitely recommend. Just bring able to sit outside and watch the beautiful scenery pad by was amazing. The room was very clean and comfortable. Good Aircon and a nice bathroom with great water pressure.The food was excellent and plentiful. We went for the 2 day, 1 night option which was plenty, although there is so much included in the itinerary it could feel a little overwhelming. I decided to sit out the kayaking in favour of just sitting on the balcony enjoying the scenery. It's a very relaxed cruise and the staff were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble and they made you feel very welcome.
- Saskia (6/5): Ha long bay cruise - We hadden garden bay premium cruise geboekt maar zagen zelf dat we ingedeeld waren op de legend. Hierop zeiden ze dat de legend betere boot was en dat we upgrade hadden gehad. Het zou fijn zijn geweest als dat vooraf gezegd zou worden. Eenmaal op de boot lagen we iets achter op schema waardoor we tijdens de 5-gangen lunch heel snel moesten eten. Je bord was nog niet leeg en het volgende gerecht kwam er alweer aan. De baai (ha long en bai tu long) is super mooi en we hadden geluk met het weer. De excursies zijn wel heel erg druk want alle boten doen hetzelfde. Het eten op de boot was lekker, maar veelste veel. De kamer en badkamer waren prima. Grote minpunt vond ik dat op dag 2 het water op was, dus je kon niet meer douchen. De wc kon dus ook niet meer doorgetrokken worden!!! Hierdoor veranderden de toiletten in dixis en voor wat je betaalt vind ik dat echt niet kunnen.
- Mary (6/5): Good value - The food and the staff were wonderful! The only downside was the chaos around transportation to and from Hanoi and the smell on the boat. The cruise was very good value for money considering we got to see Halong Bay, met some great travelers, very good staff and great food.

- Lina Marie (10/5): Wonderful experience - Beautiful surroundings. Beautiful old-style wooden boat. Amazing food! The rooms with balcony are just perfect! Enjoyable activities. Excellent service. Also nice to have the option to sometimes just stay on the boat when there were so many activities. Could not expect more for this price. Alcohol and other drinks are a lot more expensive than ni rest of Vietnam. You can bring maybe ½-1 liter of extra water per day so you don't have to buy all the time.
