Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): - Excellent
- Joanne (10/5): Great boutique hotel in the 13th - Fabulous stay at the COQ. Comfortable, calm, clean and great access to all parts of the city via the metro.
All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect for me: quiet, comfortable bed, and a great shower.
I will definitely stay again.
- Gregor (10/5): - Property and staff were all excellent.
The included breakfast stated it was continental, but they had boiled and scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage as well. Overall the breakfast was really good quality.
Location is excellent and walkable to all main sights.
Only slight negative, our room had a roll top bath, with a shower head, but no wall holder for the shower head, so you had to hold it all the time.
- Scarlett (10/5): - Loved everything about this hotel. The area was a good location to explore the city the metro was just a short walk away. There was nice cafes in the area. The hotel it self was beautiful nice quiet location with some great little extras. The room was gorgeous and the bed waa so comfy we slept really well. All the sraff were extremely friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to vist paris
- roger (10/5): - We arrived early, they offered to hold our luggage since the room wasn’t ready. We were upgraded, which was appreciated. The bedding was good. Shower has great water pressure. The room was comfortable and clean. A mini fridge would be perfect.
The best part was the staff, everyone was nice and happy to help when needed, especially Thibault and Majda. We would love to come back next time we’re in Paris.
- Pierrick (10/5): Super équipe et chambre très confortable - Équipe au top, chambre au calme
- Katherine (10/5): - Nice welcome from reception, a room upgrade, sweets and a tote bag. Lovely breakfast and comfortable
Room and bed. All very nice
- Eduardo (10/5): - Many, many "likes" to the crew of the hotel, specially to Nayë and Thibault at the reception. But all the people of the hotel were involved in making the stay a great experience for the visitor.
- Maryam (10/5): - There is always room for more improvement. Please dont serve the same breakfast every day.
- Michelle (10/5): - The room is small but it is just enough space for two people. Very clean. The bed was comfortable, particularly the pillows. I really liked the dark green walls and the artwork; very elegant aesthetic. There was a balcony overlooking the city with a small table and two chairs, perfect for coffee/tea in the morning. The shower had a “rain” shower head. Everyone at the front desk was nice and helpful, and everyone spoke English.
Would stay again! And would recommend to others!
- Jesse (10/5): - We had a fantastic time at C.O.Q. We received a warm welcome even though we checked in after midnight for our 3 day stay.
Our room was really comfortable, cosy and clean. Breakfast was delicious everyday with a wide choice of pastries, cereals and fruit to kick off your day.
Thanks to Léo, Naye and all the staff we look forward to coming back in the New Year.
- Rahul (10/5): - Solid boutique hotel. Great breakfast. Close to the metro and the river. Not in the center of all the tourist traps but very nice place to stay.
- Tuan (10/5): - Clean and friendly staff
- jose (10/5): LA - Fantastic customer service by all the staff!
- Daniel (8/5): Tax Free Forms - The staff at the hotel were friendly and always helpful. The one negative was not being informed of the tax free forms allowing foreign visitors to get a tax refund upon leaving at the airport. Call me an uninformed traveler, but it would be good to let guests know if the service.
- Abid (4/5): Just ok. - It’s ok. Nothing special. Hated that I had to pay €30 euro extra when checking it at 12 even though the room was ready. Was too tired to argue. Staff are excellent. Small poky room. Absolutely not Sound proof. Would not stay again.
- D (10/5): Stylish and individual. - Hotel has real individual style. Beautiful reception which becomes relaxed breakfast area and then has a wine bar vibe in the evening. Staff are terrific, obviously proud of where they work. I happen to love the area, quieter, more residential than many others, but with great restaurants, bars, cinemas and small (and large) stores and with easy transport links to anywhere in the city.
- Carl (10/5): - Amazing place amazing staff highly recommended
- R (10/5): - Great location. Great staff and beautiful hotel.
- Paul (10/5): - Booked based upon the reviews on Expedia and was not disappointed.
Lovely staff, excellent accomodation, delicious continental breakfast and all you can drink coffee 24/7 and in a really nice area (literally moments from Place d'Italie) with excellent access to the Metro, honestly it's quite the find.
Probably be a good long time that I get the opportunity to get back to Paris, but if I do, this place will be my go-to.
5 stars folks, well done and keep up the great work!
- Barry (10/5): Lovely city hotel. - Lovely quiet hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.
- Akhil (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and the room was cozy and comfortable. The rooms are pretty updated which was nice, and the breakfast as just amazing!
- stefano (8/5): - A
- Amanda (10/5): Great boutique hotel. - Very cute boutique hotel with the nicest staff, in a very good location. Definitely recommend!
- Lingxiao (10/5): - Will be back. Just perfect
- Philippe (2/5): Worst experience - I have booked and paid and when we arrived they said sorry we are full bye bye we have no solution for you check with Hotel .com
Please proceed to my reimbursement it s not normal . I have take a taxi at Midnight to go to Paris CDG and book thé Hilton
- Anne (10/5): - Awesome stay at COQ Hotel Paris. Staff is very friendly, we loved the welcoming apero and enjoyed the common space with a very nice design.
Our room was quiet, clean, spacious and with a nice decoration.
- Sebastian (10/5): Like coming home. - Always a warm welcome. The rooms are small (like all rooms in Paris) but very clean an tidy. Bathroom + bed is ++ and you always get a aperitif drink in the lobby. What else do you need?
- Thomas (10/5): - Amazing staff, so nice, friendly and helpful. Really loved the team - would stay at that hotel again anytime
- Mayssa (10/5): Loved it - We loved staying at the COQ hôtel! Very friendly and welcoming staff. It was also very clean, stylish and relaxing!
- Sam (10/5): - We loved this hotel! The location was excellent, near two different metro stations that we used everyday to get around the city. The free hot drinks to come back to each day were a great perk too!
The room was great - bed was comfy with decent pillows and sheets and a great bathroom too. We loved it and will stay again when we visit Paris.
- Angie (10/5): - A beautiful boutique hotel, the room decor was very Parisian, found it very relaxing staying at the hotel, the staff were very attentive to detail and friendly, particularly Paul, absolutely love this hotel!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Affordable. Very clean rooms. Enjoyed happy hour in the lobby downstairs. Great location. Parking available in garage down the street for additional cost.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice feeling about it, quiet area, friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nicely renovated small hotel adjacent to ENSAM and two blocks from Place d'Italie Metro. Very convenient location, and lots of restaurants close by. Within walking distance (1 mile, I like to walk) of Buttes aux Cailles with its huge selection of restaurants. Lobby area is large and serves well as a living room / breakfast bar / happy hour bar. Breakfast was soft boiled eggs (have to ask), breakfast breads, cheeses and hams, fruit and fruit juices, as well as tea and coffee. This hotel worked well for my visit to ENSAM (literally across the street), and provided great access to the rest of Paris! Staff were outstanding, friendly, and helpful. I will visit this hotel again when I travel to Paris on business.
- Sarah (10/5): Attractive, well-designed boutique hotel - We really enjoyed this hotel. It’s very well designed, with everything you could need in a fairly small space. Many thoughtful touches like reading lights, a ledge near the bed, a pull-out makeup mirror, etc. Also it is quiet at night and has a comfortable bed. The decor is also very attractive. The breakfast was really wonderful. Tasty and unique. You can order small food and wine throughout the day in their pleasant ground floor area. And there is a free coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine 24hr. The staff were all extremely helpful in both French and English. Cons: The French-style shower was frustrating (hand held with no attachment on the wall for the shower head). Also, it’s not a very interesting neighborhood—local, not touristy, which is great, but very few restaurants or cafes. However, the Place d’Italie Metro stop is only three blocks away and the Jardins des Plantes is only a 15-20 min walk.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location was good, close to the subway. Continental breakfast was nice. Our room was small and it seems that it is normal not to have face clothes in Europe so bring your own. All in all I give this property a average rating.
- Caroline (10/5): - Very great place to stay, easy access to metro and the staffs are very friendly
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing stay! Great staff and location. Will definitely be back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had absolutely a lovely stay! The room was clean, comfortable, had all what we need, spacious and silent. The staff was really kind, offered to join them for a drink, offered us some sweets and coffee. The tube is two minutes away walking distance and you can get easily to the center as well as to other nice areas. We really enjoyed our stay and will for sure come back when we will be back in Paris.
- Tomi (8/5): Comfy hotel for business traveler - Small hotel with friendly service. Good breakfast and nice comfy "living room" during the late hours serving at least nice snacks with free wine too.
Rooms are small and my room was very dark because the only lights in the room were bed reading lights (spot lights). Bed was good for me. Nice views from 6th floor.
Found an excellent Mexican taco place close by.
- Reihem (10/5): Great value, great location, excellent rooms. - I had a conference to attend at the Marriott which is a 15 min walk from COQ. The hotel staff are lovely. The rooms are larger than what you’d expect from Paris. The breakfast is really great. For me what really made the hotel great was the proximity to the metro station. The metro is on line 7 which takes you straight to most destinations down town including Lafayette, the opera and the louvre. The assortment of Vietnamese and local food in walking distance of the hotel was fabulous.
- William (10/5): Lovely stay in Paris - Great weather in October, very nice staff, nicely appointed rooms...would recommend.
- Gail (8/5): - Lovely hotel in a convenient area of Paris Right by Place d’Itale subway you can get anywhere from here Good breakfast with eggs, meat, cheese, croissants, fruit, cereal. Local bistros within walking distance Quiet neighbourhood.
- Clarisse (8/5): Charming boutique hotel in south east of Paris - Lovely hotel in great location. The staff is welcoming and the room has everything you need. My only reservation is the size of the room which is very tiny and little moisture smell from the shower room and that disappears with windows open.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Modern Hotel, no closet... - The hotel itself is nice and modern. The location is a bit less central. The one issue I had was the lack of any closet or even place to hang cloth. I had a 5 day stay.. and nowhere to put my clothes..
- Luz (10/5): Little gem - The best staff, comfy beds, great rooms, excellent breakfast, fun decor. It was our last night in Paris after traveling in France and this couldn't have been a more perfect choice. It felt almost like home and wished we could have stayed longer.
- John (8/5): Different style of hotel to the normal. - Bohemian in style.Staff very helpful and nice. Close to the Metro. Rooms small and compact, but clean and tidy. Maybe a small fridge would be nice. Hotel is very comfortable.
- Delphine (10/5): Amazing boutique hotel - The staff was amazing and super friendly. Our room was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Ari (10/5): - Hotel staff was really nice.
I really like their hotel design and interior.
- Sherifah (8/5): Great boutique hotel - Nice hotel. Staff were very accommodating. It was my sisters birthday and the hotel arranged for flowers champagne and balloons to be in her room upon her arrival at our request.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Vacation - Staff were very helpful and friendly. Everything was closed by. Shops, restaurants and metros.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was nice. Breakfast was good. Staff were really nice and helpful. Check-in was too late.
- Jennifer (10/5): Quiet, calm, and pampered - I felt very welcomed by the staff - no matter what time of night! Thank you Mehd for the tisane to help me sleep. There were many little amenities and pleasant surprises that made me feel happy. The customer service is excellent. Place D'Italie is very close, which has some cafes and the Metro (a 3 minute walk) can get you any where. Or catch a taxi or Uber and all the major sites are only 15 minutes or so away. And the nearby Cafe Bomby is a low key place with decent wine, salads, and wifi.
My only wish is that the wifi had worked better in the hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very small rooms sizes, you can’t move inside the room especially if you are 2 guests and you have one luggage
- HappyWinked (10/5): - Lovely hotel. Rooms have a warm ambiance and beautiful art pieces. My 1st floor room had a mini terrace. I would definitely return! My small issue is the wifi. Far too slow.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Modern facilities with old charm. What i expect of a budget hotel in paris... ie small. Would stay here again.
- Alex (10/5): - Wonderful staff, very comfortable bed, very quiet street, top notch climate control, very reasonable prices. What’s not to like? Just a great boutique hotel. Many thanks to Morgane and Ramón.
- Alexander (10/5): Stylish and welcoming! - We had a lovely stay at C.O.Q. The area is a bit far out but as the metro station is only 2 mins walk away this really didn’t make a big difference to our trip. The area itself has lovely cafes and a supermarket too which came in handy. Our room was clean, very stylish and practical with a beautiful bathroom. The nespresso machine was a nice touch meaning we could have a decent cuppa in the morning while getting ready for the day without leaving the room. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the welcome drink each evening was again a lovely touch which made us feel truly at home there. We didn’t have breakfast there but saw it as we walked out and it looked a delicious selection! I’d definitely return with our next trip to Paris!
- Janet (10/5): Home from home. - Brilliant! Extremely comfortable; welcoming and fashionable.
- Sunphill (10/5): Awesome stay in the city - Very comfortable feeling at the lobby which is open 24h
Kind staff and stylish room very clean
- K and I (10/5): Lovely boutique hotel - This lovely boutique hotel is very close to the Place d'Italie metro and is on a very quiet street. The hens are a nice touch, as is the wonderful coffee and hot chocolate that is available 24 hours a day. The staff were very helful.
- K and I (8/5): Lovely hotel - The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The Metro was close. Good cafes nearby.
- Kerry (10/5): Beautiful hotel - We had an amazing three night stay in the C.O.Q. Hotel. The decor was beautiful with attention to even the smallest details. Check in was smooth and welcoming. I tried my best to converse in my (very) broken French but I needn't have worried, all of the staff spoke impeccable English. The in room Nespresso was an added bonus along with the welcome glass of wine of our choice as we headed out for an evening in the lovely area nearby. We are lucky to travel numerous times a year for pleasure and I can honestly say the value for money along with the quality of our stay makes this one of if not the best hotel I've stayed in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Chic retreat - A lovely and chic boutique place to stay in Paris. We were well looked after and the room was very well designed. Will return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful little hotel in calm neighbourhood. Great value!
- Pete (10/5): Honeymoon Happiness - We loved our room. It was so cosy and chic as was the hotel itself. It was easy to keep the room at a comfortable temperature when outside was a bit muggy.
The staff were very friendly and our room was always restocked and tidied each day.
My wife particularly loved having the ‘Rituals’ spa products in the shower room and felt that to have branded products was a nice touch.
The hotel itself is close to a few cafe’s and restaurants and is only a 5 minute walk from a major metro station, so has easy access to the centre of Paris.
We’d stay here again.
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect boutique hotel - This was the first time my husband and I stayed at COQ and it didn't disappoint. This boutique hotel is super stylish, with very comfortable rooms and helpful staff. It's close to the metro and for anyone who prefers to walk (like us), 30 minutes to the Seine. We will definitely stay here again.
- Ashley (10/5): Beautiful hotel - Loved staying at this hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great. Would definitely stay here again every time I come back to paris
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had such a lovely stay at C.O.Q it's even more beautiful than the photographs. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was great! I would recommend it to anyone, a very welcoming place.
- Lisa (10/5): Really lovely hotel - Really lovely hotel with great staff. Would reccomend. We booked a superior room but upgraded to a deluxe to get a bath which was really worth it. Really close to metro and some shops nearby.
- Evelyn (10/5): Lovely small hotel - Lovely small hotel. Staff were very nice. Didn't hang around the local area so can't comment on that but walking through it seemed a lot going on and very close to metro. Breakfast was excellent! Would definitely come again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Unique Hotel - A nice place. Well remodeled. Cheerful and eager staff.
- Meliza (10/5): Great hotel! - Loved everything about this hotel, it is tucked away on a side street and it's close to the metro! A hip minimalistic vibe. Room was the perfect space (although some can argue it was a little small) we needed for a 5 night stay. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast but it looked delicious. Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): It is a very beautiful hotel, with very nice staff - Hotel is very nice, and they pay attention to detail. Food menu is very limited, although the food is delicious. Nice presentation. Rooms are very small, nicely decorated but too small. I had a deluxe room, ad quite frankly it was very small. The desk and desk area was tiny, so not a very good hotel for business travelers. Other than that I would recommend the hotel
- World Traveler (10/5): Excellent value - quiet location - The COQ hotel is an ideal location if you desire a place to escape to away from touristy Paris spots that can be loud, crowded, & overpriced. The hotel is conveniently located very close to a metro station and is a pleasant 50-60 minute walk to sites like Notre Dame & Bastille. It is also very clean & the staff is very friendly. Just do not expect a lot of room since space is a luxury in all Paris hotels.
- Denise (10/5): Paris break to see Phil Collins - we went to stay in Paris for a few days to include a visit to Phil Collins in concert. I booked this hotel on the basis of the good reviews on trip advisor, we were not disappointed, its a beautiful boutique slightly quirky hotel in a brilliant location, access to the Metro is easy and we walked to Jardin du Luxembourg twice. Excellent Crepe restaurant around the corner and local bars if required. Excellent breakfast available in the hotel and the staff were very helpful. We will return
- Haiou (10/5): Nice hotel close to subway station - We stayed at COQ for seven nights. The room is nice and cosy and the staffs were excellent, will definitely go back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful boutique hotel! Friendly staff and a great non-touristy location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice comfortable stay - The staffs are nice. The hotel is of good location, cleanness, well-decorated with fruit and drinks served 24/7 free in the lounge. (what a nice thing!) So definitely I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to have a nice stay in Paris
- Janet (10/5): Just gorgeous. And quiet too. - Gorgeous hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cosy a bit far from the centre - Nice design
clean
Friendly staff
But a bit far from the center n major cites of the city
Charm
- George (8/5): Convenient and clean - Decent location. Clean and friendly. Odd modern decor.
- Alan (8/5): Nice stay - Nice hotel with very friendly staff who were very helpful. Room was quite small even though it was a superior double. Was told on arrival breakfast was included (i did not have this on my booking). We only had breakfast one morning but this was added to the bill which we weren't expecting as we were told this was included
- Rebeca (8/5): Nice Hotel - It is a really nice hotel, it has a good location!
- Tim (10/5): Absolutely first class - Everything was great about this place. The rooms were lovely. The staff were perfect
- nk (10/5): Superb boutique hotel. - We had a wonderful 2 nights staying here for a wedding anniversary. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was very stylish and clean white books to look at. Nice Rituals products in the bathroom. Breakfast was a lovely buffet with plenty of choice. But the best part of the stay was the lounge/ winter garden with its comfy Scandinavian chairs/ sofas and art books. A real treat to walk all day around Paris and return late evening to have a glass of wine and browse through art books.
- cecilia (10/5): Great location! - Located next to a police station and right around the corner from a large mall (Italia2). Great amendeties involved, wonderful morning breakfast, and staff is extremely friendly. Definitely recommend for a friend!
- Verified traveler (10/5): AMAZING - This is a small boutique hotel in the 13th arrondissament. Great location. Not touristic loads of great places to go to which are authentic.
The hotel itself is wonderful. Great decor. Very clean. Great vib in the downstairs lobbby.
Staff were so attenbtive and helpful. I couldn't praise them enough.
Would totally go back.
- Mark (10/5): Friendly & convenient travel to all parts of Paris - I don't usually write reviews but in this case I will make an exception as something as good as COQ, and the concept behind it, should be praised. Although it will be my fault if it is fully booked next time I visit.
This is a wonderful hotel with friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, a comfortable bed and great transport connections. We asked for a room with a view and were obliged with a view across the rooftops of the city which, although it did not have any of the recognised sites, absolutely encapsulated the spirit of the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and were great to chat to. They were always responsive and attentive to requests in a way that was comparable or better than some higher rated hotels that I have been lucky to stay in.
The free coffee in the lounge/screen/games area was really welcome at the end of the day although I never did manage to win at scrabble in French. Check in and Check out was smooth and fine, the hotel is very easy to find and about 5 minutes from the Metro. We did not have breakfast but I did look really nice. We had help from the staff with bookings, suggestions of where to go and where to eat and we were sad to leave.
I would hope to return to COQ next year to do some of the things that I missed out on during this visit. I've still got the Louvre to visit for example. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough and I have stayed in many in Europe and North America.
Did I say the staff are wonderful?
- Lesley (10/5): Excellent hotel and friendly staff - We had a 3 night short break in Paris in the Hotel COQ, close to the Place d'Italie. We were very impressed with this hotel which had been totally refurbished and modernised in 2015 The boutique hotel suited us very well as the rooms were well furnished and it had easy access to the metro. There was artwork and books in the bedrooms which made it have a very different feel to it, rather than your standard large hotel chains. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. We would definitely go back to this lovely hotel next time we're in Paris.
- SjW (10/5): Great hotel - We chose the COQ hotel for its location to the itinerary we had for out Paris trip, all of our intended places to visit were nearby. However even though our plans changed, we ended up going all over Paris, the COQ hotel was still ideal choice. Great hotel in a lovely neighbourhood, away from the main Parisian hustle and bustle, but in an area with a more relaxed and friendly feel but still a lively buzz about it. Great bars, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance. Metro less than five minutes walk if you wanted to travel further. Next time in Paris we will hope to stay here again.
- Hayley (8/5): - Great location, beautiful hotel. Rooms a little on the small side
- Karen (10/5): Great hotel stay! - Great hotel experience! Loved the understated boutique style decor and the attention to detail. Staff were tremendous, always helpful and friendly regardless of the time of day. Breakfasts were the best continental breakfast so far, after almost 4 months in Europe in one year, and a convenient menu of mostly healthy options for quick convenient meals at night. Rooms were spacious (for Paris!), with aesthetically pleasing decor and a Nespresso maker!
Only two aspects I noticed which with a long stay in a city would be recommended, a hairdryer and an iron and portable size ironing board for convenience.
Hotel was a quick walking distance to three train lines directly into the main tourist attractions in Paris centre.
Such a personalised experience, I'd love to return.
- Jordan (8/5): Great hotel with unique design details - This hotel is very cute. The staff are fantastic (helped us find a couple restaurants and save money on a cab). Rooms are the perfect size (small but not cramped). Would definitely stay here again.
- tb (10/5): Book it - Boutique, trendy & super price for quality.
Free fruit. Nespresso & rituals in room. Extra pillows no trouble
- Sab (8/5): Cute Little Hotel - Cute Hotel, Clean and Tidy. Rooms abit small but all very kept
Friendly staff very helpful.
Close to metro station
Able to hold baggage if required.
Will recommend
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not Bad
- P (10/5): Very pleasant not very central location but easy - I was there for business. Fantastic breakfast, lovely room not tiny as usually in Paria, generally comfortable and clean. Staff polite and helpful. On my arrival they said breakfast was not included but I showed them a copy of Expedia booking specifying that it was included and it was fine. The location it is not central but I needed easy access to line 5 and 7. Restaurants 10 minutes walk.Big shopping mall nearby.
- JOSHUA (8/5): Highly recommend - We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We recommend staying here! Room is very clean, friendly staffs, noise proof room, close from the metro station, quiet area. But room is very small. We had 2 suitcases but couldn't open them at once.
