Guest Reviews
- FrankJ123 (8/5): One night stay - I booked a room at Glebe Farm for one night whilst attending an event at the nearby Cadwell Park race circuit.
The reason was simple, it was the cheapest in the area, I will be back, good apartment, great parking 15 minute walk to a pub in the village that served food.
After the heating went off it was a bit cold, could have done an extra blanket, but all in all a very satisfactory stay.
- Chris (8/5): - Simple and straightforward check in.
- Ross (8/5): - Basic. But good value
- Philip (10/5): - Agreeable
- ubhank3 (10/5): Fantastic Value and friendly host - We stayed three nights on a cycle tour. It was great value, clean and comfortable. The heating and wifi were very welcome, and the proximity of local amenities and cycle rides were an added bonus. Granted as we were used to YHA and hostel accommodation, this was far better and for us it worked really well. Steve was really friendly and helpful.
- Colin (10/5): Perfect Stay at a Perfect Place! - We booked in here the night before we went to see the horse racing at Market Rasen. It was great. You had a lounge with sofa, coffee table, tv and at the other end was oven and electric rings. The bathroom had a shower and sink. Bedroom had a full sized double bed with wardrobe and chest of drawers. I was surprised at the size of the apartment (a lot bigger than I thought it would be). It is set in beautiful grounds with horses in the nearby fields, a lovely lake with an island. and surrounded by the beautiful countryside. We met the owner when we were leaving - a really lovely, friendly man. If we go back that way we will definitely book the apartment again. I highly recommend them to anyone thinking of staying there. 5*****
- Pete (2/5): - The shower was very dirty and the glass curtain was thick with dirt and mold. It also smelt very fusty
- Sandra (8/5): Great value - Great value for money. Wonderful setting, host very helpful. Apartment a little tired, but clean and comfortable.
- Gail (6/5): - Really tranquil setting, quiet and lovely views.
- Andrew (6/5): Good value accommodation - Very conveniently located if you’re looking to stay in mid-Lincolnshire and offers great value for money. The room is comfortable and you need to bring toiletries soap etc and don’t expect any extras — no tea bags or coffee, and the WiFi signal is a bit weak (though I used my own portable device). It’s a decent stay as long as you come prepared.
- Penny (10/5): - The apartment was perfect for 2 people and a dog.
- Becky (10/5): - We had a lovely 3-night stay at Glebe Farm Apartments. The self-catering apartment had everything we needed & was set in beautiful tranquil surroundings less than a 20-minute drive from Cadwell Park which we were driving to daily.
Only very minor suggestion would be a blind on the front door & skylight as it got very light in the apartment from about 4am.
We will definitely be returning next year. Thank you for a lovely stay.
- John (10/5): Excellent for Cadwell Park - It was a stop over whilst taking a race car to Cadwell Park race track.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful place- perfect for a stop-over for a family wedding.
- Matthew (10/5): Excellent - Always use glebe apartments when working in the area
Clean quiet all the amenities that you need including WiFi that actually works
- Geoffrey (10/5): - My stay was very relaxing and the apartment was very clean with lovely views of the country side .There is a lovely little lake which you can fish in . All in all it is very good value for very little money .
- Ken (10/5): Excellent - Excellent like always and great friendly service from Steve.
- John (10/5): - Tranquil. Lovely quiet spot. Self catering. Lake. Apartment itself worth easy the money charged. They don’t mention a tv on advertising but there is one. For a long stay could benefit with a more than a hob and a microwave but it’s fine for a short breaks.
Good value. Can’t knock it.
- Roger (10/5): Can’t fault this place great value for money - A great find this, I travel a lot but will definitely use this again.
Very secure decent wifi and what you get is a small apartment not just a room.
Can’t fault this place for the price it’s excellent value.
- Richard (8/5): - My son and I spent 4 days here for a fishing trip. The accommodation was very good in quiet, peaceful surroundings.
The lake although quite small was well stocked with plenty of fish. We enjoyed the sport not taking it too seriously. The pegs to fish could have been a little more defined but it was adequate.
- Victoria (10/5): Lovely - Beautiful little apartment. Simple but has everything you may need, incredibly peaceful and stunning views and walks. Very dog friendly. Amazing value for money
- Charles (10/5): Lovely quiet stay - Glebe farm was excellent. The view out of the front windows fantastic looking for miles over country side.
- A E (8/5): Highly recommended - Very helpful and ran very smoothly. Lovely views, very comfortable and warm. I will book again.
- Geoffrey (6/5): - A fully fitted and equipped kitchen. A cold day and heating not really coping. No coffee sachets or tea bags. Plenty of room.
- Pat (10/5): Lilybe’t - The apartment was clean and very comfortable ,the view was beautiful and lovely and quite d
- Andrea (10/5): - Very comfortable, warm and cosy
- John (10/5): - Would benefit from a new outside bench
- Adrian (10/5): Toy fair weekend - Super self contained country apartment (1 of 4) everything you need including fridge cooker, microwave, settee & chair Big bathroom with HUGE shower!!! Excellent value for money. Always clean too!! Have stayed several times.
- John (8/5): - Friendly staff, nice compact appartment, easy check in/out, peaceful surroundings and great parking.
- Adrian (10/5): Toy fair weekend - Absolutely fabulous!!! Has a small lounge/diner/kitchenette all in one. Decent size bedroom with large bathroom & large shower. Beautiful grounds too. 24hr access available so ideal for me as I can arrive late & leave early. Fabulous value for money too!!!
- malcolm (10/5): - We booked late and what a gem, we loved the stay
- Lorna (10/5): Peaceful country stay. - Nice clean, tidy basic accommodation, not too far away from a Co op, couple of pubs and takeaways but set in some lovely peaceful countryside. Host was friendly and helpful too.
- Mohammad (10/5): - Nice and cosy. Would recommend
- colin (8/5): - Lovely area next to a farm in beautiful countryside. Rooms 1 and 2 you can watch the sun set over the fields.
- Christopher (6/5): lovely location - I was a little nervous after some of the poor reviews about cleanliness but I found the cleanliness wasn’t an issue.
The location was lovely, the apartment was generous and quiet.
The cost was good, negatives it’s a little tired and probably needs a refresh, apart from that I enjoyed my two night stay.
On arrival the key was in the door alongside my name,I didn’t see the owners at all but that isn’t an issue I’m sure the discreet security cameras and automatic gate meant they could operate without any interaction and there was a contact number for them just in case.
- Peter (8/5): - Es ist ruhig. Das Bett ist bequem. Eine Küche ist auch vorhanden.
- Stuart (10/5): - Great value property for a couple of nights away.
- JBUK1990 (2/5): Filthy! - The only positive of this place was it was convenient for the event we attended and it's outlook.
The lodge itself could be really nice, it's in a great secluded spot overlooking a small lake with parking right next to it, but this is where where the positives end. We arrived to a completely filthy lodge, we had to spend the first hour of our trip cleaning the lodge to make it habitable.
The mattress all need replacing as they are ancient with spings coming through so we slept very poorly.
The shower has clearly not been updated since the early 90's and was either scolding or freezing, switching between the two at random.
Overall, the lodge needs a complete update and to be cleaned before every visit!
- Adrian (10/5): Toy fair weekend - FABULOUS!!! FABULOUS!!!!! FABULOUS!!!! Everything you could want. Dining table, fridge freezer, hob, microwave, crockery, cutlery. Massive shower, very clean & comfortable!!! BEAUTIFUL surroundings, wake up to look across green belt land(STUNNING) Large pond in beautiful grounds!! SO SO quiet area. Late arrival up to midnight, just PERFECT,ABSOLUTELY love the place. Been twice now & WILL be back!!!!
- Lucille (10/5): Beautifully quiet and excellent value - We really enjoyed our stay at Glebe Farm apartments.
It was excellent value, clean and cosy and so lovely and quiet.
Would highly recommend staying there.
- Matthew (8/5): Excellent - Excellent service once again
But could do with a softer bed and a bit of dusting
- Jeremy (8/5): - Great little quiet place for a short stay
- Christine (6/5): - Hmmm…..not really for me , needs a bit of money spent on refurbing rooms
- Nigel (10/5): - Excellent value. Nice and clean, quiet location, with everything I needed for few nights away (racing at Cadwell Pk).
- Graeme (8/5): Glebe Farm stay - Wanted somewhere to stay being good value for money with good access to Cadwell Park track. This did not disappoint.
- Margaret (6/5): - Good value for money. Okay for a stay of a couple of nights. Bed could be more comfortable with a memory foam topper.
Lovely countryside and absolutely fine if you get nice weather and take advantage of the lovely surroundings.
- Richard (10/5): Lovely Place to Stay - Lovely place to stay, the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. Pleasant clean and tidy room, lovely surroundings. The owner was super friendly and very helpful.
We will certainly stay here again.
- Adrian (10/5): - Great accommodation for the price you pay. Hob,microwave, fridge, cutlery, crockery. Warm, clean & comfortable & so convenient as you can book in up to 11.30pm (have especially if you are travelling a distance as we were & want to arrive out of hours it’s ideal. Will definitely stay again if in the area!!
- Diane (10/5): - Had a really comfortable stay. Everything you could possibly need was provided. A credit to the owners
- V7591HAmarkf (2/5): Used to be excellent value for money, now sadly overpriced and grubby! - Stayed at Glebe Farm 'Apartments' many times over the years but unfortunately we won't be back, prices hiked up massively, simply not worth the asking price anymore.
Grubby and uncared for to say the least, disgusting, filthy, frying pan, cutlery with food still on them, chipped cups & plates, previous occupants toothpaste all over bathroom cabinet, pubic hair shavings on top of shower unit, shower screen not been cleaned since the day it was installed as it was thick in limescale, one towel each for a week's stay, no hand towel, dead flies all over, cobwebs galore, bedside shelf hanging off the wall and not even a lampshade on either of the two wall lights.
Outdoor communal BBQ facilities completely useless, BBQ itself full of old burnt out charcoal, grill covered in burnt on food, leaves all over the place, two broken plastic chairs to sit on, picnic table and bench on the verge of collapse.
Communal kitchen is now permanently closed, nowhere to do any washing, dry clothes, or do any cooking. The only cooking facilities are a combi-microwave which we never even contemplated using as upon opening the door it reeked of curry and the glass turntable plate was covered in food from previous occupants.
Also in our seven night stay, not even a courteously greeting, acknowledgement, or "thank you for your custom" from the owners!!
Now, more like tradesman's digs rather than holiday apartments, in fact during our seven night stay, we were the only 'holiday makers' in existence....a constant stream of contractors staying for one & two nights, arriving late at night and vacating early in a morning !!!
Good hard-earned money thrown away, as at the top of my review, needless to say we definitely WILL NOT be back, endless alternative accommodation in the area which is 'clean' and far, far greater value for money than here!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Go elsewhere - The most disappointing stay we have ever had. Warning flag as no check-in details and we had to phone on the day. The “apartment” is a converted stable and the bedroom window is an internal frosted window. No soap or other amenities and had to hunt around to find bedding to make up the sofa bed in the “kitchen” for the 3rd guest. No sign of anyone to make payment despite being told to go to the house on arrival. Rude owner Steve then phoned at 10:35pm and insisted on us getting out of bed in the dark to make payment rather than in the morning. Will be staying in Lincoln in future - much nicer and lots of good accommodation options.
- Matthew (6/5): Little disappointed - When we arrived at apartment we were greeted with a wall of heat from all rooms someone left the heating up high
Went for shower and there was mold on shower head and shower controls
Off to bed I went only to reach out to turn L bedside light in and put hand on about a weeks dust
Little disappointed as when we stayed before it was immaculate
- Paul (10/5): - Very efficient. Lovely and peaceful.
- Anna (10/5): - Wonderful place. Will go back
- Matthew (10/5): Perfect - Absolutely fantastic easy to find easy to get into room
All clean and well prepared
Will be staying again hopefully in august
- Kim (10/5): - Very pleasant site , quiet , property basic as expected but very clean and well kept.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great value - Excellent accommodation, very clean, large bedroom, huge shower. Kitchen absolutely fine with everything needed although plates and mugs had a few chips. Only gripe was only 1 double sofa (bed) and comfy chair so for 4 it was a bit cramped.
- Isma (10/5): Good - Great value.tranquill & convenient location.
Easyy check in & out
- l (10/5): 1 night stay - Great place to stay as close to cadwell park very helpful people
- Peter (10/5): - The property filled my needs and above all the price was very reasonable.
- Sophie (10/5): Excellent stay - Comfortable , warm and cosy
- Julie (10/5): - Lovely quiet rural position. Everything available that you need. Helpful and obliging owners.
- Brett (10/5): great location for Cadwell park - Really good for pulling up a trailer when planning a motor sport event
- Rob (6/5): Nice place but an uncomfortable night - Nice little one bed apartment, decent facilities. No bedding was provided for the sofa bed, so I had a seriously cold night wrapped up as much clothing as I had. My friend had a comfortable night in the bedroom.
- Jeremy (10/5): - Inexpensive, easy to find for a one night stay ahead of an event we were attending. Arrived early evening, left early morning so only slept there, and used the kitchenette facility for drinks and breakfast. Comfortable and all we really needed - pity we didn't have time to explore more of the area as it looked nice.
- Alison (10/5): Grat accommodation and location - A lovely stay in the apartment. Secure site, but with easy access from the road, although at night the sign on the main road was a bit difficult to see).
Apartment was lovely and warm when we arrived too. Rooms were clean and shower was of a good size with hot water.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful surroundings with a pond and horses. Very quiet and just a lovely cheap place. Very basic inside, but what do you expect for the money. Not the most comfortable bed.
- Peter (10/5): In the countryside - Very peaceful, would stay there again, ideal location for visiting Lincoln and countryside in the area
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - "Solo Traveller" - From the moment I arrived I was extremely impressed with this B&B. The directions were excellent and easy to follow. Parking was easy. The apartment/room was modern, clean and well laid out. I found the room quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was not included in the price. The property had excellent view over the surrounding countryside. I failed to find any negatives about this B&B, it truly was first class and I would definitely use again if in the area.
- Darrell (10/5): Cadwell park weekend - Cody and comfortable
Great quiet location
Close to where we need to be
Happy to recommend and stay again
- peter (10/5): - The rooms a basic and could do with modernising but for the money they are very clean all the facilities are there cooler pots pans the lot. Clean bedding and towels . But the view when you open the barn style door of your room is breath taking . Very quiet in its own little lake . Would 100 percent stay again
- HAYLEY (10/5): great location - great location and lovely place
- Arron (10/5): - Great little apartments fully kitted out very comfy was cooking facility’s for breakfast in morning fridge to keep food & drinks in lovely location will definitely be visiting again.. my only criticism would be the bed was very creaky/noisey when sleeping but other than that was a great accommodation..
- Kate (8/5): - Lovely quiet 2 nights stay. A little bit dated inside. But was clean. Would use again. Many thanks
- Anthony (10/5): - Easy booking and payment
Apartment ready for use. Easy access. Clearly marked.
Lovely grassed area/pond.
Nice and quiet.
Will book again
- Natalie (10/5): Will revisit - Excellent fishing break. Will definitely come again. Accommodation lovely. Facilities all good
- Daniel (8/5): Basic but pleasant base. - We used Glebe Farm as a base for our weekend at Cadwell Park for the BSB meeting. The apartments are clean and tidy. Our only suggestions would be updating the mattress (slept on comfier floors) and bedding ( seen better days). Also it would be nice to be able to turn the heat down on the towel rail as it was red hot,( it does turn off during the night). It would also be a nice touch to have some complimentary soap and shampoo in the bathroom, locally made would be a nice touch. Also underneath the microwave which was at eye level needs a really good clean. Wragby is about a mile away for local supermarkets (Pemier and Co-Op) plus takeaways. Highly recommend the Turnor Arms Indian Restaurant/Takeaway. One of the best Indian meals we’ve ever eaten, also very welcoming when you are greeted at the door. In all a very basic but pleasant place to base yourself. This was our second stay here.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very quiet peaceful. Lovely view of the pond from our window.
- Gillian (10/5): - Lovely location
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful, quiet, undisturbed views of the country side. The room we stayed in would suit a couple better (more space); albeit we only stayed one night.
- Nigel (6/5): Pleasant rural retreat - We had previously stayed at Glebe Farm Appartments and had returned 3 years later. Unfortunately the state of the accommodation had, in our opinion, deteriorated somewhat. The furniture was very tired and basic as was the bed. The very thin curtains let the morning light in very early. During our previous stay, the bedroom had faced a different direction. The large pond on sight was very peaceful though, and was the general location. It was a little disappointing that an email request to the owners a few days ahead of our visit was not answered, so we arrived with inappropriate food as the kitchen had no oven. Had we known, we would not have brought pizza.
- Lisa (8/5): Glebe farm - Suited us as it is quiet and out of the way but close enough to anything we needed. Left to ourselves and facilities were more than adequate. Have booked
to come again.
- Tracey (10/5): - What a little gem this place is, cant wait to return
- Scott (10/5): - Great place to stay- nice & peaceful.
- 809kj (10/5): Relaxing stay in a lovely setting - Glebe Farm is in a remote location with lovely countryside views. We stayed for four nights in Apartment 3. It was very clean and well-equipped, and bedding and towels were provided. The apartment has a sofa, a table and four chairs, and a kitchen area with a hob and combi microwave-grill but no oven. The bathroom is modern with a powerful shower in a huge shower cubicle. There is ample parking next to the apartments and plenty of space for a picnic or walk around the lake. There is no food available onsite, but nearby Wragby has several takeaways, pubs and and a large Co-op. Glebe Farm is COVID-secure - hand sanitiser is provided in each apartment and the communal kitchen was closed. We really enjoyed our stay at Glebe Farm and hope to return one day.
- Thomas (8/5): Nice place, no wifi - Cared for but dated, a pleasant two night stay in this small apartment. My only negative point was the lack of wifi, clearly not a problem if you are going for a break but since I was there on business and had booked specifically because wifi access was offered this was rather disappointing.
- June (8/5): - Everything ok apart from mattress very hard, felt like we were laying on the floor.
- Natasha (6/5): A bit small for 4 people - It was a good base for where we needed to stay.
- Dawn (8/5): - Apartment was clean and well equiped, fishing pond well stocked . All round excellent stay. Owner was at end of phone if needed
- Brian (10/5): Spot on - Spot on
- Benjamin (10/5): Fabulous home from home - A real home from home, comfortable, clean, well equipped and AMAZING surrounding.
Friendly host.
My only gripe- mattress needs replacing on main bed.
- Lara B. (10/5): Bliss - Tranquil
- Susan (10/5): - Very comfortable apartment, equipped with everything we needed. A beautiful setting, very clean. The host was friendly and let us stay in apartment till mid afternoon instead of 10am check out as no other guests going in that day. Fishing was very good, my husband fished for 3 days and caught lots of fish including a 14.5lb carp on last day. Will definitely be visiting again next year.
- Lee (10/5): Comfortable, clean and quiet - Excellent as always, thank you!
- Nigel (6/5): - Arrived late, contacted owner by phone who left the key in the door.
Very practical for one night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We were very pleased with this accommodation. It was a lovely quiet location in the middle of the countryside. You had everything you needed. The bed and sitting area was comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of room with a large shower. Would recommend.
- N (8/5): - The pictures don't do the apartment justice. Its a small quiet place. I stayed here for the races at Market Rasen. Not ideal for getting to and from there tho. Luckily a friendly local gave us a lift to and from the races which was really lucky.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely spot and great owner. A bit run down with dirty shower and a toilet that flushed a little every few seconds. Sofa bed is like a brick so really couldn’t have stayed more than one night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent service - When we arrived, the sofa bed that I was to sleep on was poor quality and damaged, and would have been an incredibly uncomfortable night. The owners however were fantastic, admitted fault and moved us into another room with much higher quality furniture. Thank you.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Thank you for putting us up for the evening, see you again soon!
