Guest Reviews
- Lawrence (8/5): - Clean Rooms, Friendly Staff
Fridge and Microwave
Value Priced
Air Conditioner didn’t work
No Coffee Maker
No restaurant on site
- Louise (8/5): - Simple mais efficace
- Nancy (6/5): - Would have been nice to have coffee maker in the room.
- Lynne (8/5): - Check in was great and we were lucky enough to get a ground floor room. The property is definitely showing its age and needs some work. The view of the tidal bore was magical.
- Brittany (10/5): - Good service, dated but very clean. See the check in time.
- Angela (6/5): - Slightly outdated
- William (10/5): - Nice
- Barbara (10/5): - Very nice back in the day geel
- Joelene (10/5): - There's many shops near by , the ac was ok
- Sarah (6/5): - Room was very clean. Staff was friendly. Place could use a facelift.
- John (8/5): - My stay was fine. The room was clean and comfortable. The cable was very good. There was hot water. It was affordable. These are all things that were most important to me.
Some inconvenience are there are wooden stairs to the second floor and I was under them so i heard some heavy footed workman going up and down. Thankfully it was quiet in the evening. Its a little out of the way but many food choices were available within a few km.
The staff have unusual hours so you drop your key off in a letter box. Its old fashioned but it works.
I'd stay there again if i was in town.
- Beckie (10/5): - Cute property overlooking the bay. Wonderful, friendly check in. Would stay again when back in the area.

- Edward (8/5): - Carpet flooring needs cleaned and or replaced . Very soiled.
- Heinrich (10/5): - Very quiet and great views.
- Stewart (6/5): - Property is conveniently located but has been allowed to get run down over the years. The abandoned restaurant should be torn down due to its unsightly condition. Some tree / shrub trimming would also improve the appearance of the property.
- Kit Mui Valencia (6/5): - Convenience to see tidal bore
- Janet (6/5): - This motel is very clean
- anthony (10/5): - The staff was friendly. Was told everything that we needed to know about what they offered and were to park and how to get to our rooms … rooms with one qu’en bed was big bed was comfortable and had a microwave and small fridge. Overall We were pleased with everything and we would definitely stay there again .
- Kevin (10/5): - I cannot say enough about the Tidal Bore Inn. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and very timely with service. The location is gorgeous, with wonderful views. It is only 4 or 5 minutes from all amenities, and extremely easy to get to, being right off the highway. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would come again any time we are in the area. Definite 5 stars for staff, location, cleanliness, comfort, and price!
- Kevin (10/5): - Great location, very clean, easy check in and out, repeat customers, and will be back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay the staff was great and very friendly and engaging. We had everything we needed
- Sharon (10/5): - So, keep in mind that this stay was only to sleep from about 10 pm until early morning. I was looking for a place that was not expensive, yet clean and safe. I found it. It's not fancy, it's not super modern, but it was a quiet, clean night's sleep.
- Amanda (8/5): - Overlooks the Cobequid Bay, very pretty. A little rustic amenity-wise, but was very clean
- Wm. Robert (10/5): - Firm, comfy bed too.
- Valerie (8/5): - For the price it was a nice place to stay.
- Dorothy (10/5): - Though somewhat dated the Tidal Bore Inn was very clean and prime location! The owner is very nice and helpful. Great night sleep.
- Doug (10/5): - We loved the Tidal Bore. Very friendly owners and very clean rooms. Restaurants were nice and close
- Cherry (6/5): - The property was on average and room was clean. Staff were friendly. However people vaping made us uncomfortable
- Laurie (6/5): - Ok at best
- Eleanor (8/5): - The property is old, had some renovations, generally okay.
Coffee and kettle available in the office to take in the room.
- christine (10/5): - The inn keepers are great. Very helpful and friendly.
- Jacqueline (6/5): - This dated property was in a convenient location. As often happens, These older places have a stagnant smell in the room, perhaps old carpet. It had a decent view of the tide changes in the channel across the highway. For the price, it was acceptable although would not choose a second time.
- kim (8/5): - Nice view, great price, they are doing a good job with renovations
- George (10/5): Great stay. - Stay was wonderful. Bed was extremely comfortable, and the whole room (especially the bathroom) was very tidy and clean.
- Ronald (8/5): nice place to stay overnight - easy access from highway. nice view.
- Colin (10/5): Nice spot to rest - great spot for a layover
- amanda (10/5): - Q
- Lynn (10/5): - Nice location, comfy bed, quiet, friendly staff
- Brenda (8/5): - Value for money.
- Sarah (4/5): - The outlet behind my bed had no electrical cover on, so I could see exposed wire right behind my head. I ended up moving the mattress so my pillow wouldn’t fall down and touch the exposed wire while I was sleeping.
Also a gap in the doorknob hole large enough that I could see outside. I had to move the chair against the door to feel safe in the room.
- Mike (10/5): - We only stayed one night, but it was exactly what we needed. Very quiet, clean room, easy check in and check out. We will be certain to book here again when we need to.
- Kevin (8/5): - Good basic, clean and quiet room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - While it was a bit awkward to find a place to charge my devices, the view was nice, and the chairs outside were comfortable.
The room was spacious for the price.
- Donna (6/5): - Off the beaten path. Due to round about driving was precarious. No local attractions except Tidal Bore
- Michel (6/5): - Nice location. Property generally in need of maintenance. Room was acceptable but air conditioning unit was noisy. Staff was very good with us.
- Tamara (10/5): - Everything was nice, a must stay just to getaway and clean too...
- Terry (4/5): - I booked the hotel with the intention of arriving just before check in closes at 10PM (according to Expedia). But, the hotel emailed to say check in closes at 9PM. We couldn’t get there by 9PM. That said, after a few emails and phone calls, the hotel did agree to wait until 10PM for me. That said, there was a gentleman who was waiting for me when I arrived and he was super friendly and said that he would have waited a bit longer for us if needed. He was very sweet. It did cause us a lot of stress though to try and get there as close to 9PM as possible. The biggest issue we had was the bugs in the room. We must’ve seen around 100 bugs. It was a very unsettling night. It would have been a one star review, but I have to give an extra star for the gentlemen who welcomed us!
- Sheila (8/5): - Check before arriving when Tidal Bore comes in. We didn’t and missed it. Googled it and it was wrong
- Donna (10/5): - Staff were very kind and welcoming, the room was extremely clean and tidy. I would absolutely stay here again..nothing negative about my stay.
- PRINCE MATHEW (8/5): - good
- Wayne (10/5): - A basic motel but it was very clean and reasonably priced. We will definitely stay here again if we are in this area.
- Bruno (10/5): - Le rapport qualité-prix etait tres bien, facile d'accès de l'autoroute. Grande chambre tres propre.
- Peggy (10/5): - Very nice
- Justin (10/5): - This was my second stay at this property. Just as strong as the first time. It's superior to most low-end motel chains. The place is conveniently located off the interstate. It's also a great staging point for any travel into Nova Scotia or even PEI/NB if headed that direction. The staff is friendly. The twice-daily tidal bore is great. The restaurant could afford to come down. Very much appreciated!
- Chelsea (10/5): Tidal Bore Inn Review - I visited the Tidal Bore Inn on Saturday, June 28th, 2025 as a last minute retreat. We booked our room through a third party site, and upon arrival, there was a slight issue but the owner was very prompt, kind, and helpful. We got it resolved immediately. Our room featured a queen sized bed, a mini fridge, and bathroom. It was cozy, very clean, and no noise. We absolutely adored the view and property and recommend visiting. If you stay at the Tidal Bore Inn, theres a nearby walking trail that is only minutes from the hotel. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will be returning. I'm very satisfied and happy we chose this spot.
- Doug (8/5): - A fine older establishment with clean, comfortable rooms. Great view of the top end of the Bay of Fundy.
The restaurant has been closed for some time apparently but lots of mixed dining within minutes.
- Rose (10/5): Close to every thing - Good motel close to main rd. Close to shopping and dinning clean and tidy close to tidalbore only 45 min from Burntcoat Head Park amazing site to see
- Everett (10/5): - Helpful and accommodating
- Ashley (10/5): - We had an amazing stay quiet little inn. Owners are fabulous folks who were very accommodating.
- gordon (8/5): - Close to town, great views
- Vanessa (10/5): - The owners were friendly, and the property was well maintained, clean, and the bed was comfortable!
We will definitely be back for another stay!
- John (8/5): - This was a quick stop on our trip to the east coast and was a good stay. The room was clean. The hot water was very unpredictable as it disappeared during a shower. No coffee in the room but they offered some in the lobby.
- Hubertus (8/5): - Great views overlooking the tidal bore. Walking trails nearby.
- Rhonda (6/5): - Quiet. Nice view from top of hill in comfy chairs. Budget friendly clean room.
- Shayna (8/5): - A down home inn, with lovely staff and everything you need! Has its quirks, but makes up for it with everything else.
- Ellen (8/5): Spare but serviceable - The room was very basic but very clean. The bed was fairly comfortable.
- Barbara (8/5): - It had a nice view. Unfortunately the tides were out.
- Angela (10/5): - I liked everything, staff is very friendly and accommodating
- Marilee (8/5): - Property is a bit dated but our room was clean with everything you would need. Gentleman at check in was pleasant and helpful. Good place for the price.
- John (10/5): - Excellent service
- Robyn (10/5): - Cute and convenient
- Angela (10/5): - The staff was great, very friendly and accommodating, made me feel welcome. Room was clean and tidy. Everything was great .
- Joey (10/5): - The view of the river was wonderful. The manager was very friendly, helpful and understanding. It was convenient to be able toto park in front of our
- Steve (6/5): - Room recently redone. New paint on building. Unable to check in until later due to staff shortage which was a bit inconvenient since we were tired.
- Robert (10/5): - Very well kept for an older property, extremely helpful staff. Directly off trans Canada highway with easy access.
- Robert (10/5): Nice - Loved staying here. The host is a genuine nice man. The rooms are clean and comfortable and its a very good value. Perfect for overnight or as a base to reach other places in the area.
- Jill (10/5): - Great location. Nice property. Great price. We will definitely stay here again.
- Mary (10/5): - It was perfect for my need at the time to stop and rest! The motorways are not too close but… The tidal bore was disappointing and not worth watching! That was one of the reasons for being here!
- Reid (6/5): - Wasin a nice location great view. We were just passing through. the only problem we had was the noise from people stopping up-and-down the stairs.
- Daniel (10/5): - Yes, OK, the rooms are a bit dated but that's not unexpected for the price. Great value for money and friendly staff.
- Era (8/5): - With this property, you cannot judge a book by its cover. When we arrived at the property I was a bit concerned because there were waist high weeds and dead plants everywhere, making the property look tired and neglected. However, we decided to check in anyway and see what the room was like and go from there. First, the gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and nice. Then when we opened the door to our room, we were pleasantly surprised. The room, including the bathroom, was very clean, there were plenty of towels, it had a fridge and microwave, and the beds were comfy, so of course we decided to stay. You can sit on the provided chairs on the lawn and watch the tide from the Bay of Fundy come in, which is the main reason we made reservations there. It was also very quiet and close to restaurants and shops. There’s a building on the property that used to be a restaurant but I think it’s permanently closed. It also has weeds growing everywhere around it. If the owners would put a little more effort into cleaning up around the buildings and the landscape, this hotel would truly be a gem.
- Karen (10/5): - Owners were wonderful. Very friendly. Even let me collect seeds from plants in their garden
- Craig (8/5): - 1950s motel no restaurant no fan in washroom etc
- Brent (10/5): - Owner / operator was friendly and made or stay enjoyable. We would stay there again if we are by that way.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Oldy but goody - Great location. Inn is a no frills stop; dated but clean. Owner is up front at check-in about electrical shortcomings and the work-arounds. Shower was hot. Bed a bit hard.
- Karen (10/5): - View of Tidal Bore
- Gerald (6/5): - Place is okay. Check in staff are friendly. Place is in need of some updating.
- Kate (10/5): - Rooms were good. Nice view of the nearby land. Comfortable beds. Great room for a one night stay. Surrounding area had everything we needed.
- KATHRYN ELIZABETH (8/5): - Lovely helpful hosts
In the process of upgrading the property- brand new fridge and microwave in the room.
