- ron (8/5): - Very rural and there are not a lot of available options in this area, the service was great with a nice bar and restaurant.
- Richard (10/5): Even better that the previous excellent reviews - Reading the previous excellent reviews, you sometimes wonder if they are absolutely true. Let me say, if anything, they weren't kind enough. Having arrived really late due to a delayed flight, I happened to ask what it's like getting a taxi to Carlingford, and waa offered very kindly a lift to the wedding we were attending the next morning. The rooms were spotless, the views locally were breathtaking, ths breakfast wonderful. I cannot recommend it more highly.
Thankyou for your wonderful hospitality
- Kevin (10/5): - Very clean and quiet
- Margaret (10/5): - I found Mourneview a home away from home. The staff were amazing, the rooms were so comfortable & the scenery was breathtaking. I would highly recommend mourneview to anyone.

The nearby village is ancient and interesting with an old church being restored and a castle ruins you can explore. Numerous shops and pubs and restaurants.

- Mark (10/5): Clean, tidy, modern B&B in a beautiful setting! - I contacted the B&B to arrange a late check in due to our ferry arriving after the normal time, and Lyn couldn’t have been more helpful. Come the day, the ferry got delayed for 2 hours due to a storm and again Lyn was so helpful and happy to wait for us which was a great relief for our first night away as a family.
The B&B itself was spotlessly clean, well appointed and obviously I can’t speak highly enough of the owners. We only stayed a few hours due to the delay and moving on again the next morning, so a flying but fantastic visit with a great full Irish breakfast to set us up for the day!
- Edgar (10/5): - What a lovely spot! Our hostess was extremely helpful and offered recommendations to make our stay more pleasant
- Colm (10/5): - My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect and everything in the room/en-suite was great.
We would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area.
- Kristin (10/5): - Wonderful stay at Mourneview with the best breakfast room in Ireland. We only wish we could’ve held have stayed longer.
- Tara (10/5): Charming and super clean B&B - Friendly owner and family. Charming location nestled by sheep, with views of the mournes and close to town for restaurants. Breakfast was in a lovely conservatory with views and was plentiful. The room is so, so clean. Just a lovely spot that I highly recommend.
- Jamie (10/5): - Recommended to anyone going to Carlingford! 5 mins from the town , absolutely spotless , rooms are huge! Can’t be more grateful
- Patricia (10/5): - Our stay at the Mourneview B&B was perfect! We came to visit my husband’s extended family for the first time.
Our room was spotless and the bathroom was updated.
Each morning we were greeted with a delicious full breakfast of eggs, bacon and sausage, and if you didn’t want a full breakfast there was plenty to choose from the breakfast bar of cereal, yogurt and delicious croissants!
Linda was so helpful with making our accommodations!
When we return to Carlingford, this is where we will stay again!
Highly recommended!
The Longs!

- Mary C. (10/5): - We had breakfast looking out onto a field with sheep and cows. Carlingford was 1.2 mile drive away and Dundalk was also a nice town to visit close by.
The only fault would be that the mattress we had wasn’t very firm.
- Janine (10/5): - Beautiful weather, lovely accommodation and food. Was such a lovely weekend. Will definitely be back to Carlingford soon.
- Aine (8/5): - It was a lovely big house with fantastic views of the Mourne mountains. The breakfast room was lovely and had lovely views. I didn’t find the owners particularly friendly. I feel they could have made an effort to be friendlier on our arrival and while giving us our breakfast.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Mini break - Excellent accommodation, highly recommended
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location, cleanliness and breakfast perfect. We collected the keys earlier in the day and perhaps understandably the rooms were quite cold then but when we came back to sleep that night we couldn’t believe the rooms were ice cold. It ruined an otherwise faultless b&b.
- THERESE (6/5): - The guest house was fine, breakfast was lovely. My only complaint being the price as I booked with hotels.com at a price of £67 and was charged €90. I know the conversion rate isn’t good but it is not that much.
Beware if price when booking with hotels.com
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Could not fault this Guesthouse, staff , location, food and service are absolutely top notch, a complimentary lift to our function and a lovely home style welcome at breakfast, will definitely be back one day and would highly recommend the MourneView, superbly run , Thanks again Lynne and Family x

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Property is nice & well presented for guests good .view of the mountains if that’s what you want !!!
Room was cold on arrival heating was off
Breakfast was served by the waiter who appeared to be on his own & somewhat flustered.
No milk in the jug on the table , apparently guest were to fill from the jug at the cereal .table
- Megan (10/5): Beautiful B&B - Mourneview B&B is beautiful, clean, and cozy. The owners are very kind and helpful. We had a wonderful breakfast, and received many local tips for dinners and activities in the area. This was supposed to just be a quick night's stay on the way to Belfast, but we ended up spending more time after dinner and even the next day exploring the town of Carlingford, because it is so interesting and delightful. Definitely check out PJ O'Hare's for dinner. Mourneview even has a towel warmer in the bathroom, which was a luxury that made me feel extremely fancy! The icing on the cake was the BEAUTIFUL breakfast room overlooking the mountains. I highly recommend this B&B!
- Jennifer (10/5): Fab stay, highly recommend. - We stayed one night so that we could go out in Carlingford. Lyn drove us into the town and gave us taxi numbers to get home again.

It’s a few miles outside of Carlingford so very peaceful, if you want to be in lively centre of town then this is not for you. Will come again.
