Guest Reviews
- Jayne (10/5): - We had 2 bungalows on the front and we really enjoyed our stay. Short walk to the beach for a refreshing dip. The staff were super friendly and welcoming.
- ENRIQUE (10/5): - Amazing Value in front of the Beach
Great Staff
- Micah (2/5): - This property scammed me!
It is not at all Nice I was attacked by fake police to kick me out for celebrating my birthday!
Complaints started right after arrival!
Complaining about Me Celebrating my birthday
- Adventure57592630374 (2/5): Falsely advertised - On a nice quiet beach; but quiet beaches are accessible all over PhiPhi….PP Nice Beach standard double is advertised as 269 Square feet; but it not half that big- no room for a closet; bags, anything…Advertised as ‘garden view;’ but looks across a sand path directly at other little rooms- absolutely no privacy…I would not stay there again
- Lisa (8/5): - Clean room, large bathroom, quieter end of the beach and walkable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastisk beliggenhed
- sandy (4/5): - Tv didn’t work ruined my day gave them try and fix it. Changed rooms. I texted emailed and called no one to pick me up from pier.
- andrew (2/5): - Just Jenky overall. Front desk doesnt answer phone number listed here. 7am to 7. Pm is when the sign on the desk says they’re open. I fact they closed at 5pm and didn’t open again until 8 am. It was cheap for phi phi , you def get what you pay for here.
- Shawna (8/5): - The rooms were good and clean considering. There was a lot of construction in the area, which was noisy. But otherwise a nice place to stay.
- Rikke (10/5): - The most lovely place to live. We had a hut in the front row. It needs a bit restoration, but that’s how it is in Thailand and that’s a part of the charm : ) Loved to sleep in the bed and the warm shower was great.
- Virginia (4/5): - There were renovations going all in the rooms across from ours all day everyday till aprox 6pm ... extremely noisy.. no way you could have a daytime nap.
Didnt pay online said i would pay at rhe resort when i got there is was cash only which left me in a pickle as i expected to pay with card, now im short on cash!
Very basic rooms, nice but basic. Shower is terrible no pressure and handle kept falling off the wall. Bed was firm but comfortable.
Out of 10 i would say rhis "resort" is no more 4 maximum, clean but basic
- ?? (10/5): - veryGood
- JAMIE (10/5): - Great stay here, i got one of the bungalows up front so the ocean was the first thing i seen in the morning. They were doing construction but hey, they have to do it sometime, i didn't let it bother me. Party scene is on the other side of the island, the daytime tourist rush doesn't make it down that far at least when i went mid Nov. Some good snorkeling right out front also.
- elliottj885 (2/5): Would not recommend - Pretty awful room which had no noise insulation and an air conditioning unit that vibrated like a tractor 24/7. Would not recommend staying here however the only positive was the location and the staff were decent. They over charged me at the end for a nose bleed I had on the bed
- Liz C (8/5): - Steps away from the beach and tour boats. Staff was super nice. Rooms need mayor update but good for a weekend in the island. Recommended if you want to experience an island vibe.
- ANDRÉS FELIPE (8/5): - Está bien por el precio, son amables
- Tyler Van (6/5): - Rooms smell like a sewer due to poor plumbing design. It's a long walk to get to the place. It's not terrible but it's also not very great either. I'm hesitant to even give it a "good." In my opinion, it is worth it to pay a couple extra bucks and stay in a different place.
- Samantha (10/5): - Great quiet location, on the beach
- 368chloed (2/5): Horrendous - Do not book this hotel. There was creatures in the vents squealing and scratching around so I bearly slept. There is cockroaches on the floor and in the bathroom. They kept coming. Room wasn’t cleaned in days. Stay clear and avoid this place.
- gursimran (2/5): - People at the property were very rude. Unless you are paying them and giving them tip, they are good else they will treat you like nothing. We asked them to drop our bags at the reception, there were 4 people sitting beside for baggages and helping customers. They looked at each other and gave a taunt saying "we are girls but we will keep your bags" then I had to pick my bag myself! Not recommended at all
- Anthony (2/5): - Would never stay there again it’s not what it says
- Rachel (2/5): - Chambre en travaux. C est une honte de payer 125 € pour cela. Koh phi phi victime de son succès prend les touristes pour des vaches à lait.
- rebeccabW1465XS (10/5): Short and Sweet Stay - My partner and myself spent a few nights on the island at one of the small cottages. Perfect for couples and those having a short stay on the island. They are located about a 10 minute walk from the main area of bars and restaurants, however, at night walking back, its always a peaceful, enjoyable trip from the views. The cottages provide the exact facilities required and were sweet and cosy. Central enough to all the action and has the most gorgeous views!
- Pietro (2/5): - Dirty place
Rude Receptionist
Unclear price policy
- Anita (10/5): Good - Good value for the price, very clean and quiet. Area was nice as well
- John (8/5): - Great price for a beach front property.
- Romualdas (10/5): Great place to relax with a nice view - Stayed in this place only one night, but took Beach front huts with sea view. Really nice place with a great view. Room was simple, but nice and it has AC as well which helped to relax from the heat. Bathroom was a bit outdated, but it had everything you need. I know it says "resort" in the name, but it's more like beach bungalows. First I was sceptical about this place after reading reviews, but decided to give it a go because of the location with a view and wasn't disappointed.
- Michael (8/5): - Location was excellent. Cute little bungalow with a nice porch to sit with the sea 100 ft away.
WIFi was very slow and disappeared at times
- shareen (8/5): - I had a little bungalow right on the beach. It was simple but was clean and worked just fine. The bathroom smelled a little funky but didn’t bother me much. The location is excellent - right on the beautiful beach. Also a very short walk into the main area. The beach is a little busy with people and boats. Very sad that the beach and water are full of trash - I collected a giant garbage bag while I was there. The resort could do more to clean and care for the area. There were basic Sun loungers to use and also a massage stall right beside the resort. It’s a mixed review but I would stay there again.
- Olga (8/5): - I
- Serhat (4/5): - Cockroach everywhere, rooms are dirty, the bathroom dirty, the sheets dirty, service 0 no existing
- allysha (4/5): - Bed was hard. Shower is just a hose in the bathroom and mosquitoes bit is all night. Room advertised is not the unit you get
- Hannah (2/5): - Do not stay here! Our room was infested with cockroaches and when we tried to inform reception they only offered us to change rooms and we’re not very helpful
- hejira84 (2/5): Worst hotel in Thailand - I wish I had read the reviews on TripAdvisor before booking this dump. It is hands down the WORST hotel I've stayed in. Be careful if you book on agoda because the star rating is incorrect. This hotel is 2 star but advertises itself as 4 star.
I was only on phi Phi for one night so I decided to pay a bit more for somewhere 'nice'. How wrong was I?
They had the cheek to call it a 'junior suite' and that was the biggest joke of all! Smallest room I've been in. Tiny balcony covered with rust. Hasn't been redecorated for about 50 years, peeling wallpaper. One wall wasn't even painted. It was bare concrete.
Absolutely VILE
They robbed 4000 baht of me for a room that was wodt about 400 baht
The staff are ville and uede and used to conning people
The owner wouldn't even change my room.
So relieved I am only here for one night. Moral of story check trip advisor before booking anywhere! I normally do but this time I forgot and I have paid a high price for that error
- KarinaLandim (4/5): Not recommended - Good location just in front of Nice Beach. They offer 12 chairs in Nice Beach that guests can use, but if the chairs are full you must pay $100/per chair per day to use the other chairs. They have English channels on TV. They help us with our luggage.
Bad smell inside the fridge like a dead animal. Hard bed. The room is too small, not comfortable to stay inside. They didn't change the linen in my 4 days stay. Just three plug sockets inside the room, one for fridge, one for TV, the last one was in the middle of the wall in front of the bed, hard to use to recharge the phone.
- Vacation638744 (2/5): Avoid unless on a very tight budget! - Booked here for 1 night while on our honeymoon, reviews on other sites seemed ok and it was cheap so we just used it as a place to get our head down before we left the next day.
The room was basic at best,no room to put our luggage or sit down. There were cockroaches in the bathroom, which the porter kindly got rid of for us,and the smell coming from the bathroom will outlast religion,it smelt like rotten eggs and I’ll never forget it.It seemed to be worse when you used the jet hose to flush the loo.
The bed was on a type of plinth that just didn’t make any sense,it took up the whole room and the mattress was far too small for it.Air con wasn’t the best and I got bit quite a few times during the night.
The beach area in front of the hotel is gorgeous, and the views from the beach are great as well..but the con’s far outweighed the pro’s and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and I definitely wouldn’t stay there again!
- johnflinn93 (4/5): 2 star hotel at best - We stayed here after looking for a 4 star hotel on the island. The photos make it look great from outside but inside is completely different.
The shower smelled like sewage and the bathroom was generally in poor condition. Very cramped room and toilet - literally not enough room to sit on the toilet! Shower was lukewarm at best.
The breakfast was very poor. It was supposed to be on until 10:30 but running out of food/plates/cutlery by 9:30. Bad selection of foods and swarms of flies everywhere.
On the positive side, the pool/beach area was very nice and staff were really helpful.
Overall, not a 4 star hotel and definitely not worth the money!
- Thmg9 (2/5): Avoid, not worth your money! - Nothing wrong with basic but for the price you pay it is well below par! Reception was miserable and no welcome. Rooms were very basic, the shower/bathroom smelt bad, the room was full of mosquitos and no mosquito nets and the bed was on a brick plinth which was too large for the bed. The room wasn’t cleaned even though we had left a sign out for it to be cleaned, not the end of the world but meant we had to ask for things like extra water, which wasn’t given out lightly. The wifi in the rooms was terrible you couldn’t load anything. There was wifi on the slither of beach the hotel had with a few chairs on which worked much better. You can find better properties and service for a third of the the price, not value for money at all!
- abigailg1997 (10/5): Fabulous ! - Amazing stay!!! We had a hut directly on the beach front it was an amazing location with everything you would want for the price! Lovely staff and very accommodating to everything we could possible need, also met a cute little cat family which always brightens my stay.
- andipandi762019 (4/5): Not So Nice - Good quiet location about 10 minutes from harbor, free towels for beach, water and chairs on beach WERE nice. But, no housekeeping--my room was never cleaned, stained and ripped linens, pretty gross shower/bathroom. Breakfast was also a hard, meh. I did not feel it was worth what they charged.😏
- 168janew (10/5): Great location! - Cute little hut. Free bottled water daily and beach beds and towels also which was a really nice touch.
Comfortable bed, with tv provided. Little seats to sit on outside with water pump to wash your feet which was also nice little bonus. AC was powerful also!
- M0j0j0ej0e (8/5): Easy access to the Beach and you'll find peace. - Room 7/10
Room is spacious enough however AC on our room wasn't cold enough. Experience could've been better if not because of the AC. We reported it and someone checked but didn't do any change.
Location 9/10
Perfect for people who wants peace and wants to stay away from the party noise. The front beach is very accessible and just few walk. They also have swimming pool access so we enjoyed that more. Front beach water not too clean but bearable because of many boats anchored.
Toilet 7/10
Water pressure wasn't to good because of the shower head design, hope they could improve the water pressure. I can say it's clean though.
Staff 8/10
Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Except staff in Phi Phi Nice Beach Hotel Hip where the pool access was, the staff there (the one mopping the floor) was snob and scolded us for walking at the lobby wet but how do they expect us to reach the lobby and talk to reception if we are not to walk that way, shout? very stupid.
If you read this, please like! Thank you ;)
- djlucasfreire (10/5): Nice and comfortable - The hotel is very well located (in front of the main beach). close to the little city center but a bit away from it what makes the are a bit more quiet. rooms are big and comfortable with international cable tv and air conditioning (it’s a must have here). wifi is free but not that great. Personal is very friendly. nice place to stay!!
- Poola93 (10/5): Ideal spot! - Loved our stay here. Room was really spacious, beds were comfy, hot water and wifi were excellent. We had one of the family rooms for 3 adults and it was ideal. It's ideal as it's right by the boat port but also within walking distance to the beach, viewpoint and the main busy area. It's just far enough away from the madness too. Would 100% stay here again.
- nika_k1991 (10/5): What more do you need? - Phi phi is an outstanding island and this resort is very well located. Its 10 mins walk from the pier and far enough not to be disturbed by everynight parties but close enough so you can easily reach them. Bungalows are clean, equipped by flat screen tv, air con and very comfy bed. There even was branded toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast and swimming pool are located in next side resort, 1 min walk. Overall, good balance quality/money, I would definitely come back.
- darrens1590 (10/5): Excellent location & great staff! - We were orignially booked in for 4 nights but extended our stay for a week as loved it here. Is great value for the price we paid. Reception staff very helpfull and friendly. We were met at ferry port and our luggage taken to our rooms which was a great service. We had a seafront bungalow - which I loved - and a bungalow a row behind. Both were of good sized, AC, and clean. The only improvement that they need is on the bathrooms - just need updating a bit and a more powerful shower. There a nice beach bar opposite too. Location is perfect in a quiet area right on beach front but just an easy 5 min walk to all bars and restuarants etc.
I would definately recommend.
- tc12009cas (6/5): Average - The room is basic and ours overlooked the ocean which is a bonus. The bar in front of the hotel is a complete rip off with stupid prices, avoid it. It’s a bit of a walk if you want to be where all the clubs/bars are in Phi Phi. The sea there is also full of rocks and not very deep at all so it made it hard to relax properly on the beach.
I would only recommend this place for if you wanted somewhere to just rest your head at night and leave your stuff during the day to go on boat trips or other kinds of trips. Not ideal for the nightlife either because it’s quite a walk from the clubs.
- Samantha (8/5): Location A1. - Overall stay was nice. Fantastic location on the nicer beach of Phi Phi, about 10 minutes walk into the main shopping/eating (where you dont want to stay) The beach bungalow overlooks the water. Breakfast is in the hotel next door, which was adequate. However all youre paying for is the beach views, there are much more comfortable places to stay for the same or less... but didnt regret booking nonetheless.
- Rich (4/5): It is what it is which is NOT what you see in the - Phi Phi Nice Beach Resort is nothing more than a place to rest your head on a hard mattress at night.
The picture you see is NOT one of the bungalows you sleep in (its a bar and a store).THERE ARE NO BUNGALOWS directly on the beach nor do they look remotely like individual huts. There are 4 connected units per building.
The staff is friendly but hard to find at times, with rarely anyone around between 8pm-8am. I did have hot water issues which they took care of quickly.
In 3 nights, my room was never cleaned and towels were not replaced. Each unit does have a hose to rinse your feet prior to entering your unit which was nice.
The property was on the more quiet far end of the pier side beach. Everything was within a 10 min walk.
- Eui Taek (6/5): Average - It was ok but when I get there they were telling me that my room had only two single beds I said no I need a double bed. I argued with them and they gave me an upgrade but since giving me an upgrade they never came and cleaned the room or gave me fresh towels also no water and no hairdryer. Overall it was ok but I didn’t spend much time there only to sleep so in future I would stay somewhere even cheaper coz the amenities were non existent and no use being in the beach coz it’s not the nice beach, it’s small and lots of rocks in the water.
- garry (6/5): Nice location close to beach - Close to beach. Needs to be upgraded friendly staff.
- Lary (2/5): Travelers beware! - The first problem is the reservation email confirmation says to contact the hotel the day before arrival, and you must check in by 3pm since there is nobody at the front desk after that. We tried to call the hotel but the phone number listed is actually for the Koh Phi Phi Nice Beach Hotel, not Resort. They gave me the number for the resort by nobody answered. I called Hotels.com and they had the same problem. They said it would take 72 hours to email the hotel (my reservation was the next day). Great help Hotels.com!
We did get to the hotel the next day at about 6pm. and someone was at the front desk. The hotel had given our room to someone else (there had been a fire nearby and they needed to put up displaced travelers. They did put us up in another hotel for the night.
The next nite we did stay there at our "beachfront" room, which is actually about separated from the water by a heavily used walking path and a beachfront restaurant/bar. the front railing was falling apart, and the bathroom was smelly and stained.
We were informed that this is the same owner as the Nice Phi Phi Hip Hotel nearby, but apparently run completely separately. Not nice or beachfront at all. Both Hotels.com and the "resort" deserve an F for this one.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location, below average hotel - Great location away from the noise, right on the beach, short walk to main part of phi phi. Hotel was below average poor bathroom design and smelly water. However it did have aircon.
- Duncan (8/5): Gorgeous place. Dodgy apartment. - Gorgeous place but the actual bungalows we stayed in were very basic and falling apart.
The breakfast was delicious though
- Jacob (2/5): Phi Phi Not-So-Nice Beach Resort - It’s worth paying a little extra and stay somewhere else. But I want to warn you in advance, I am a bit of a hotel snob. If you are looking for somewhere to just crash, it’s fine, it’ll do. I found the beds pretty uncomfortable, but they’ll do if you’re just going to be there for a couple nights when you sleep and not spending the day there.
There is no wardrobe. The sage seemed super dodgy. The locking on the doors was questionable (I wouldn’t leave any of my important stuff unattended in the hotel). The mattresses were uncomfortable. You only get one key, which also provides room power, meaning when you go out you can’t have any fans or aircon running, the room is always hot to get back to. But the bathroom was the real low point, it was grim to say the last. Toilet didn’t flush properly, shower literally dribbled out the end. The drains were mainly blocked so shower water filled the room, meaning you’re sitting with your feet in 2-3 inches of dirty water for hours when you want to use to toilet before it goes down. The staff were fine but not very polite. Location was fairly quiet, as it says it is very close to the beach. But just don’t be fooled by all the majestic looking photos. Good luck.
- Jacqui (4/5): Don't let the bed bugs bite! - Ok so I had already stayed at this hotel in 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed my stay then. BUT, this time was different. Planned water outages that were not communicated meant that we had to walk to the hotel for toilet and showers and was inconvenient. The bed linen was not changed when we arrived and the staff lied to us saying it was. On the second night at 1am we found bed bugs in the headboard and under the bed. Luckily there was a guy sleeping in a hammock nearby who gave us a key for another room but it was filthy and once again staff telling us it was clean. In the morning after a terrible sleep smelling someone else's body odor in the sheets, the lady at the front desk did give us a refund for one night but it was a battle trying to get that!
- Daniel (4/5): Avoid this third world hovel - Booked four days across New Years only stayed for three. Room was beyond basic, checked out a day early as we got tired requesting the room be cleaned. Safe was not fixed to anything, ‘wet room’ was third world like conditions, bedding stank so slept on top off it and air con dripped constantly. Paid £350 for 4 nights which was cheap considering it was being offered for double elsewhere.
- Sebastian (2/5): Worn hotel, rude staff - The rooms are located 50m from the beach and in a more quiet part of the island, but for the price, the accommodation is awful. Bedsheets were dirty, the shower not powerful and falling off the wall, and the staff very rude, making angry gestures and telling us to hurry up long before our check out time. Would not recommend.
- Sonja (10/5): Very nice!!! - A few steps from the beach was very nice and away from all the noise of the town.
Pool was beautiful addition.
- Verified traveler (8/5): It’s a beach bungalow not the ritz - But for all all that, it’s better.
And it’s steps from the beach and couple hundred meters from some amazing rock climbing.
- tie (8/5): nice hotel on beach - the stay was awesome the hotel was nice the staff was nice
- Verified traveler (10/5): for what we paid it was perfect. had the best time - close to every thing .
- Verified traveler (6/5): Staff, girl at reception was the rudest person eve - On arrival they had not reserved my room, have me another, but had to move again the next day. The girl on reception was the rudest ever, she never even apologised, once. AND, the Advertised picture of the isolAted bungalows on the beach, was pre Tsunami, now there's a hotel in that spot. And bungalows have moved and it's not isolAted anymore. Ridiculous, they are still using them. And no lounger s. You have to pay for these. The rest was very good though and we endeavoring satisfied with the actual room accept shower left a lot to be desired, no pressure.
- James (8/5): Great Island - The hotel is right on the beach with a very convivial beach bar restaurant right beside the water. Good breakfast too. The mattress in the first room was too hard so we upgraded to a room with a comfortable bed. Good swimming. Lots of other activities available.
- Jenny (4/5): Huts are not on the beach, like the pics shows - The hut does not look like the pictures! And it's not right on the beach. It is close but not on!! The huts were old and needed updating! The water is not hot, and the toilets don't flush right. We had to upgrade which costs us double!! The upgraded rooms were really nice and clean! Breakfast was good
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Showers are pretty bad, everything else is wonderful.
- kate (8/5): Basic hut but lovely island - Basic hut
Expected a bit more
Good location, about 20 min walk to lively part but ideal for us
No transport on island but not really big
- mohit (2/5): Worst ever experience - Worst experience in any hotel around the world.Hotel staff at counter sold my previous booked beach front bungalow to some other guest for extra money and asked to go for another room.
Unfriendly staff, don't book this hotel
- Disappointed (2/5): Stay away !!! - Way overpriced and terrible service ...
Not the room I booked ...
Housekeeping only 1 day out of 4, so comelette lack of free bottled water...
Shower just a drip, one evening had to sit on toilet and use the bidet to shower...
Terrible place ... AVOID !!!
- Erik (6/5): Decently renovated, close to beach - The hotel location was good, right at the beach (although the water is filled with boats and garbage) and it was away from the party area so it was quiet. The front desk staff was helpful with tours and how to get around / where to go on the island. The room was clean and renovated and private. Not much water pressure and the toilette didn't flush properly. We did find some mouse droppings and had a visit from one cockroach. I would probably try the hotel next time.
- EK (2/5): Phi Phi Nice Beach *STAY AWAY* - Hotel is steps away from the beach, as promised, however, the staff is terrible. Our check in time was at 1pm, they stated that one of our rooms are not ready because it has not been cleaned yet and will be ready by 3pm. We stated it was ok, and proceeded to one of them collectively. Upon arrival, we noticed the mattress was on the floor, no bed frame. There was low water pressure in the shower, and a couple of roaches by the shower. The rooms were not cleaned, and new towels were not given. Instead, you would have to collect all used towels and bring it to the check-in to request an exchange of towels. There was no water in the room, or any beverages. Stay away- staff was rude, and rooms were not clean.
- Ryan (6/5): Find somewhere else - You will thank me - When we finally found the resort as no one was at the pier to pick us up as promised, we were 1 hour past the check in time. One bungalow wasn't ready yet and my friend had to wait almost an hour more. My "beach view bungalow" only had about a 20' wide view through some trees to the beach - most of my view was the back of the reception desk and a bar/restaurant.
I woke up multiple times in the night to cockroaches crawling on me, the beds has no mosquito nets, and my overhead bedroom light was missing both light bulbs.
We were there for 2 nights and was told their was "daily housekeeping" - but the whole time we were there, there was NO housekeeping.
We were told there was breakfast available - but no..they point you towards a restaurant across the street.
The "beach chairs" they claim to offer on these beach front bungalows are not true. The resort is across the "street/walking path" from the beach. Once on the beach, it is not the hotel property and in order to use a beach chair, you have to pay some guy for the chair. DO NOT pay in the morning...because in the afternoon, they charge you again with a different guy. Real scam. I told them I wouldn't pay until the end of the day and after an argument, they finally agreed.
The location is about a 5 minute walk from the main ferry terminal and is not bad if you don't mind walking. At night, it was mostly quiet, so you can sleep...where there isn't a cockroach trying to nibble on your eyelids.
- sam (4/5): Hated this hotel - Upon check Inn was told there was no pillows in our room which was fine for us to go out for a few hours to return with the pillows just on the floor outside the room which resulted in being damp with ants all over. The room facilities which I checked when booked are completely wrong no items there was just a mattress in the room with a safe that was it. The shower was disgusting we had booked here a total of 3 nights had to check out on the 2nd night couldn't take it any longer. which when we advised the male receptionist that we would like to check out early he became slightly aggressive so we decided not to say are exact reasons why we where leaving. great location I understand this was the basic room and you get what you pay for but this accommodation was really run down rooms. when we checked out paid the same price we paid for this room and it was much nicer. The upgraded rooms might me nicer than this but wasn't willing to look into it with the state of this room.
- Mechi (8/5): Just to sleep - At 45usd a night in Phi Phi, you shouldn't be expecting nothing fancy. We needed a place to sleep, bath, and keep our stuff. You should be scuba diving, snorkeling, visiting other beaches or just relax on the beach rather than being in your hotel. If you are on a budget, it's a good choice. Quiet, retired location, not the best Beach, but it was more than enough for us.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay hotel, nice beach - You get what you pay. This low budget hotel offers low budget accommodations. It's on the quiet side of Koh Phi Phi. You need to walk aways to get to restaurants, shops and nightlife. There is a nice strip of beach though if you want a more relaxing stay.
- Keith (6/5): Great location, especially cabana #3, ok room - The hotel consists of small cabanas, which are clean and at best, serviceable. Just a straightforward room with a bathroom that is really just one large tiled stall with sink, toilet and slapdash shower in one big room. That said, unit #3 is the best situated cabana, where you walk out your front door and just keep walking into the ocean about 100 feet in front of you. A cool front deck. As you sit outside, people walking by must think "Wow, what a great little cabin."
- Danny (4/5): 2 out 10 - I had no lights, I got robbed out of my safe, and the bathroom was a joke
Not worth the money we paid
Location was amazing away from all the bars and busy streets
I would go back to phi phi but would not stay here
- Bryan (6/5): Bathroom is terrible - The location of this hotel is great. It's on the opposite side of the "party" part of the island, so it's naturally more quiet and family oriented than the other side of the island. There is a beach front bar out front and at least two massage places within 100 feet of your door. However, all the shops and music are closed down around 10 pm. The rooms are right on the beach, so the view is amazing. It is about a ten to fifteen minute walk to the pier and downtown shops.
The room was mediocre. Although the bedroom area was nice, the bathroom was gross. The toilet, shower, and sink share one common floor. When the shower was turned on, the whole floor floods. Durning the hot days, the bathroom would heat up and smell like standing water/ must. It became so bad, we had to keep the door closed. The ceiling was severely cracked over the mirror and had trails of ants along the floor. Also, the small "water heater" doesn't actually produce hot water, so all showers were cold to lukewarm.
For the upkeep and condition of the rooms, I believe you can get a cleaner room at a cheaper price some place else.
- natalie (8/5): Basic but great location. - Very close to the beach and the boat pier. Basic hotel that wasn't cleaned in the 4 days I stayed but that wasn't a problem for me. Had to request toilet roll on occasions as no cleaner meant no refreshes. Great location made up for it though.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cheap ok hotel with really good location - It's cheap and has a good location, a bit more worn and torn than shown in pictures. I guess good value for money
- blake (2/5): Nope - I've stayed in hostels way nicer and better valued. Located about a 15m walk to the main street. If you have a lot of luggage or if your bags are heavy, I suggest making sure in advance there is cart waiting for you because the "resort" is located on the western part of the island. The people forgot to give us our breakfast vouchers when we checked in and when we went to get breakfast the next day at 7am, no one was able to help us. The people at the restaurant couldn't do anything (or speak english) even though we showed the reservation and front desk didn't arrive until 8am. There were tons of mosquitoes in the room. And the bathroom is such a weird layout. It's an open space with a weak shower that drains where the toilet is. So if you just took a shower and someone needed to use the restroom, their feet would get wet. Overall I'd skip on this beachfront shack and find a better place.
- ANNE-MARIE (8/5): Beautiful view from balcony - Very nice view from front row rooms. Stay in rooms A1 to A4. Beach, Sunshine Bar and restaurant a few steps away. No breakfast. Overall I had a good stay, will stay again, satisfied with bare essentials. More of a budget hotel. Remember it is about a 10 minute good walk to the pier and centre of town.
- Alvaro (8/5): Good value for money - Pros
Close to beach
Easy access (Away from noise, but still close to all the action)
Price
Cons
The toilet (poor ventilation, poor design, even for thai standards)
Hard bed (i didn't find it too bad, but the other 2 pple in my group did)
- Kay (6/5): Very close to beach - Arrived after booking a beach front room and they had double booked, put us in a back room for first night and moved us next day. Gave us an hour massage voucher each for inconvenience.
- Hon Wai (6/5): not as same as described - Location is good, next to the beach,10 minutes walk over to the pier and main street, very convenient with best sea view, but the hotel's facilities need to improve
- Pedro (2/5): Please... Don't do that!!!! - When we arrive the receptionist tell us that our room was sell to other people and they give us another room....
First of all. The room was dirty, the amenities was poor and everything was terrible.
You have water near but it is not a beach....
Be carefull!
- Stephanie (8/5): Convenient, basic, clean hotel - This is a budget hotel, nothing fancy but the room was clean, the location was great for beach lovers and the wifi was great. There's no room service and the room is super super basic but for the price it was great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Peaceful bungalows - It was nice to be able to access the hub of town/other beaches easily whilst having a quiet retreat just a ten minute walk away.
- Stephanie (8/5): Great bungalow on the beach! - We loved our stay at Phi Phi Nice Beach! We stayed 2 extra nights because we loved Phi Phi so much and they were happy to accommodate. Our own bungalow, good wifi, great AC! GREAT beach access and short walk to pier and main part of town!! The only thing was there wasn't any housekeeping during our stay, but its budget. We had to go to reception for towels and toilet paper when needed, but we didn't mind.
- Syle (8/5): Good location close to the beach - We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was perfect as it right at the beach and was not loud or noisy. I'd recommend this place to other travelers too.
- Ryan (6/5): - Excellent place. Very nice location. Only 50 yards to beech. Monkeys first light. Bad thing was room not as nice as picture looks. Had extra bed but only a mattress on the floor. Shower room needs major update and ceiling broken. Apart from that. Very nice location. Use it as just a place to sleep only really.
- JULIAN (8/5): NICE HOTEL CLOSE QUIET BEACH. - NEED IMPROVE YOUR RESERVATION SYSYTEM CONTROL. BECAUSE I MADE MY BOOKING RESERVATION ALMOST ONE MONTH BEFORE, AND WHEN I ARRIVED NOT HAD AVAILABLE MY ROOM. OBVIOUSLY THE STAFF MEMBER MADE ALL THE ACTIONS FOR STAY IN ANOTHER HOTEL THAT NIGHT AND FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY I MOVED TO MY REAL ROOM.
- YakYak (6/5): Bungalow on the beach - Bungalow less than one minute walk from the beach, which is great however the bungalow is basic, like back packing on the cheap basic and this was the most expensive room they had.
I do feel that I have been had with the amount I paid, $75 New Zealand dollars and that was with a 40% discount, not worth it due to the bungalow being very basic.
- Verified traveler (2/5): bed bugs, massive cockroach - title says it all
- Michelle R (8/5): basic, but cute, spectacular views - room was very cute, little fridge, air con, comfy bed, balcony, beach out the front, and the best food served out the front on the beach, staff helpful and friendly, very relaxing, also a TV in room, but no kettle for tea or coffee, room had a safe also . . I loved it . . . I would stay again and have dinner there every night, food divine and fresh and excellent value for money, there is no phone or room service, but it was so beautiful who cares, everything within walking distance . .
- Jordan (8/5): Close to beach and close enough to town! - Hotel is comfortably near the sights downtown but just away enough to stay away from the busy streets! Comfortable room and friendly staff.
- Kerry (6/5): Great location, good swimming area, nice and quiet - We had a great time at Nice Beach Resort. The breakfast offered at the sister hotel Nice Beach 2 was great for the price of our reservation. The only concern I had was when we checked in, the room type we reserved was not initially given to us. We had to show the receptionist what our voucher indicated and only then was our room changed. This is a let down and inconvenience. The Web indicates daily room service and water, this service is only offered every 2nd day and you still then need to request that your room is cleaned - if you don't, no cleaning is done. Besides the above - the price you pay is worth every cent - the location is great for relaxation and peace and quiet. The beach area is away from the daily visitors. The walk into the central area of Phi is a pleasant one that is well lit at night.
- Lucy (6/5): Good spot near to the beach and very quiet area - We booked a room for three people. The size of the room in the picture was extremely deceiving and we felt like we were living on top of each other. The third bed was a mattress on the floor and there was literally no space to put our luggage in the room and be able to move around easily. The breakfast was good, you have to walk next door to another hotel and eat there. Hotel was really close to the beach and about a 10minute walk to where all the bars are. We liked having a separate beach to sunbathe on and then being able to go to the other side at night for the partying. Very quiet area to stay in.
