Great greeting and welcoming manor. especially when asked about dinner ideas, she had everything laid out all ready. The apartment was great, especially for one night stay, everything was there that i required. The Location was great, a quick round the corner trip to where i needed to go. The view of the harbor was a added bonus, when the tide was out it was so great to walk along and export, and in the morning the tide was right up to the ramp and the view was stunning. Highly recommended.

The living room setup is excellent to enjoy the outlook over the harbour and the space is bright and warm. The bed is slightly tucked away from the living space, which is great. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessities and wants (lovely choice of teas and a much appreciated coffee supply) and the bathroom is roomy and comfortable. We also appreciated the location, as we were able to walk into town for a meal. Cannot think of anything.
- Robyn (7/5): Peaceful spot, great location! - The 3 bedroom unit (9) is a true 3 bedroom, large lounge and full kitchen, only has 1 toilet, so for 6 people, it's not practical. The 1 bedroom unit upstairs (7) has the main bedroom in the lounge area and 2 singles in the bedroom. If you select unit 5 or 8 both downstairs, the single bed is in the lounge that you enter into the unit, and the bedroom with Q bed is separate, not suitable to sleep very young children as you then have to retire to the bedroom as soon as they go to bed. Unit 5 has a very small bedroom and tiny shower, not suitable for a large male. Location is fantastic, you can walk to parks, cafes and town, heaps of parking, and overall a pleasant stay. Like the ability to use the laundry and a very large separate kitchen to cook for a large group if required. No keys, just codes to get into your rooms, fantastic. Has coffee plungers and/or nespresso machines. The pictures and descriptions of the rooms are not clear on this site. I would advise you call the venue first and ask about each room. There is substantial road noise if you are upstairs on the backside of the complex. Too many signs in the units, some maintenance required.

Comfortable beds, everything you would need in a kitchen and bathroom! Keyless entry to the room which is great as I am hopeless with keys and cards! Lovely ladies to deal with, gave us the inside scoop when it came to Op Shopping! Such a friendly space! Central and close to shops. Definitely highly recommend and absolutely would stay again!

Shame about the weather and rain, but otherwise this stop and space was just what we needed for our road trip. Location was perfect and highly recommended. - tijig2026 (10/5): great hosts, clean rooms and convenient location for our group ! - We stayed at Harbor View for four days while celebrating my son’s wedding in Tauranga, and it was a wonderful experience. Kathie was incredibly helpful and accommodating right from the start. Managing a large group (23 of us including 3 children) is no easy task, but she made everything feel seamless and stress-free for us. We truly appreciated her support and hospitality. We booked most of the rooms, because our schedule was quite busy, we unfortunately didn’t get much time to fully enjoy the beautiful water views. Keep up the wonderful work, Kathie and Bronwyn !
- mimitcabrera (10/5): Great value! - This is a great value and a lovely place. Roomy with a cute little kitchen, 2 bedrooms, view of the lake, and the staff were very nice. Quiet, comfortable, and access to the lake. A short 15-20 minute drive to the beach/Mt. Maunganui. We also participated in the glowworm kayaking tour, for which the meeting point was only 15 minutes drive away. Fabulous breakfast places closeby and plenty of cute restaurants/cafes over in Mt. Maunganui village. This is a gem and we are so glad we stayed here!

- adamlaiyeowleong (10/5): Home away from home - My family and I (total 5 adults) stayed in the spacious Apartment D which has 3 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, laundry machine + dryer and direct garden access with a small patio to sit and relax. There was also a private waterfront/beach access just next to the apartment. It was a very smooth process from check-in till check-out, and Kathie had been a wonderful host to us …. welcoming us warmly to the motel/apartment, providing a map, recommendation on eateries and scenic spots around Tauranga. We had a wonderful and very comfortable stay at the apartment and would consider booking in again during our next visit to Tauranga. Likewise, we highly recommend it to other visitors to Tauranga.

- JlizW (10/5): Excellent in all respects. - Stayed at Harbour View Motel for 4 nights and chose the garden room. The weather was beautiful so it was breakfast outside every morning. The unit was large and bright and well equipped. The bed was huge and comfy and the pillows and linen were great quality. We had been travelling for more than 2 weeks and this was the first place we had been able to unpack our cases as there was a large wardrobe and a chest of drawers…. sheer joy! Kathie was fabulous, so friendly and welcoming and gave us tips on places to visit. Much appreciated. This is a place that’s prepared to go the extra mile and it shows.

- PeteB946 (10/5): Great apartment and base to enjoy the area - We had an amazing seven days staying in first floor apartment B. Bright, clean and spacious apartment; bed was very comfortable, shower had good pressure and temperature, TV is good and the kitchenette / laundry room fully equipped for an extended stay (Motel even has a couple of Kayak's for using out in the bay). Of course the view is to die for, overlooking the harbor / bay waters.. so peaceful. Hosts are top notch and very approachable and you feel they run this place with a passion.
- Bruce and Karen Bolla (10/5): Great Value and Nice People - The apartment was advertised with a view. The view was really impressive with full windows overlooking the water. Do be advised there are multiple rooms, some without views. Chris checked us in and worked very hard to make sure we were taken care of and satisfied. It was a very pleasant stay and a full value I should have looked at the map a little closer. The property is near downtown and about a 10 minute drive to the beautiful beach near Mt. Maunganui town and beach. It was a fairly easy drive and you can get an Uber for under $10 USD.

- Carol (9/5): Excellent place,I want to stay longer - Very nice deco, beautiful apartment, has all the nice facilities, very comfortable with a garden view. Sitting close to city center with several minutes drive, and walking distances to supermarket and fast food restaurants, didn't explore more due to one night stay. It's still quiet and walk out to the cul-de-sac, you can see the water, the view offers an atmosphere of serenity. Nothing much, if bedrooms have air conditioning, it would be perfect.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and spacious. The location is a 5 minute walk to restaurants, and other fun activities. They extended our check out time and the beds were so comfortable i could have booked an extra night just to sleep in. That we only stayed for 1 night.

The staff were so very friendly, and one of the owners helped us find a mall with a mobility scooter, which then meant I could shop all day on my birthday instead of only a few hours. - Niki (8/5): Nice quiet harbourside location - The staff are friendly, the beds are VERY soft, if that's your preference you will love this place, for us they were too soft and caused a lot of back ache, the staff were however very accommodating in helping us to find a solution, they have portable beds that are firmer so we used one of these instead. Nice spot by the harbour. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils etc but not with things like olive oil, you would need to bring anything with you to be able to utilise the facilities. There is a terrible smell coming from under the sink and the drain outside, mainly when you open the cupboard rather than constant, but a bit unpleasant if you want to make use of the garden space.

The staff are consistently kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The location is excellent—close to the CBD and within easy walking distance of Farmers and other conveniences—making it a great choice for holiday travelers and business travelers alike. True to its name, the harbor views are lovely. Kathie and Bronwyn are wonderful. Four-star stay and highly recommended.
