- Lindsay (10/5): - We have stayed a few times in the past and it has always been nice, the hotel has just been taken over and I have to say the staff this time where exceptional so friendly nothing was too much and the food was excellent.
- Sittha (9/5): It was a comfortable and relaxing stay. - The room was comfortable. The hotel is situated at the heart of the village. The staff is professional and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Thiyagaraja (10/5): - New management very nice people very helpful So friendly good service
- Russell (7/5): Come and stay and support a local family business as they work to improve this delightful inn. - The hotel has recently changed hands and the new owners are working hard to provide a good experience but naturally it takes some time to get the property up to the right standard. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Dinner was of a very high standard and good value for the quality of food that was offered. The location is great for exploring the local area and near enough to have a day in Edinburgh. Accept that it slight flawed at the moment and support a family business by choosing to stay there. The bedroom was very tired and showed the lack of historic investment, with peeling paint work on the ceiling. The cleaning was adequate but it was disappointing to have cobweb hanging from the ceiling.

Heating in room very good Room decoration poor with holes in wall.
Very small television.
Mould in bathroom.
Bathroom light very poor.
Every floorboard creaked.
All electrical safety tests out of date.
All fire doors jammed open.

- Mike (10/5): Lovely period hotel with great food. - It’s great. Rooms are clean, staff are very helpful, and they’ve got the food just right… it’s priced reasonably and the portions are huge. No fry up at breakfast (better for you anyway folks!) but loads of options on the Continental.
- Hannah (7/5): Good sleep bad breakfast - Nice property and lovely staff Breakfast was a bit rubbish for the cost - definitely expected a cooked breakfast of some sort and continental offerings very low value

Zou ik niet weten, misschien een lift, door een rug letsel ben ik nogal slecht ter been, maar het was niet in 1 keer een hoge trap , de trap was verdeeld , dus kun er even gerust worden.

- Jennie (8/5): A pleasant place to stay. - The Olde Worlde style.
The cotton sheets and generous towels.
Great service at dinner. Single rooms never have a nice view!
- Mydlak (8/5): Overall very good except for the small hiccup with one member of staff - Loved the history and the cleanliness Some of the younger staff in the kitchen/dining room were not attentive to customers and Instead would just chat in the kitchen with the cooks
- Lemahieu (8/5): Aangnaam -
- Janet (6/5): Lovely people, food needs an upgrade. - Location. Pretty village. Delightful staff. Disappointing food & no vegetarian options for dinner. Breakfast very disappointing and poor quality - limp pastries, tinned fruit, no cooked option.
Don’t stay in Room 18 - there was a frenetic drip on a wet night which kept us awake for hours. Room 2, where we subsequently stayed, was much better.
- Lesley (8/5): - Very friendly staff, food was excellent . Continental breakfast was varied and fresh Very dated decor. Room could do with a decent clean. Option to have a cooked breakfast not available
- Peter (7/5): Tweeddale Arms Hotel - Hotel located in very nice village. Did not expect a continental breakfast when staying in Scotland (Disappointing).. Also very limited vegetarian options for Dinner.
- Ethan (10/5): - Great service and central
- Graeme (10/5): - Excellent stay. Room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a good shower. Breakfast was continental and perfectly presented. The evening meal was the biggest helping of fish and chips I have ever had.
- Gordon (4/5): - Very old interior. No cooked breakfast just a few 20 year olds staff making toast. No greeting just quite odd.
No drinks after 21:30 as their were no ther customers.

- Andrea (9/5): - Lovely traditional pub. Good location. Stayed twice and would again. A little let down by the lack of a traditional cooked breakfast.
- Bent (9/5): - Dejligt roligt sted man følte sig velkommen, hyggelig lille by. Og et fantastisk område lidt uden for byen og tæt på et fint sted med whiskey destilleri 10 min væk i bil Det ville være en god ide med lidt æg og bacon til morgenmad

- Stephen (10/5): - Lovely stay in a nice room with en-suite, loved the old furniture and beautiful bathroom fittings. Staff lovely, continental breakfast with lots of choice.
Parking is free, and although it is a very small village it was nice to walk around and the villagers were friendly too.
- Alexander (7/5): - The location is very nice Service in the restaurant was very poor
- Wistveen (6/5): - Continental and britisk, tea and toast.
- Martin (9/5): - It felt like a nice family run hotel in a beautiful area. It felt a touch out-dated, maybe that adds to the charm though
- Peter van Huizen (8/5): Prima nacht gehad, lekkere bedden en heerlijk ontbijt. - Prima hotel op goede locatie tussen Edinburgh en Newcastle. Goed bereikbaar in prachtig dorpje. Engelse charme. Niets.
- Glenis (5/5): We were there to celebrate grandsons birthday but think staff preferred customers they knew - Breakfast was very pleasant and a nice The hotel furniture and fittings though rather well used were adequate A pleasant welcome on arrival would have been nice instead a form to sign was pushed across the bar and a male member of staff sat by watching but didn’t seem interested in us as customers. The shower curtain in the bath was too short and let water escape onto the bathroom floor. The bed in the twin room near the window was very loose and when sat on the bed moved away from
The headboard. The floor boards creaked loudly when walked on and we felt we had to creep about so as not to wake guests in next room
- Isobel (10/5): - Lovely place. Nice staff.
Missed my Scottish breakfast. 🙈
- molbert (8/5): C’était confortable et dépaysant - Le côté vielle Angleterre

Food was great. Had dinner and continental breakfast. Dinner was great value for money and great selection for continental breakfast. Very friendly staff during breakfast. Whilst all staff Very professional, felt receptionist/bAr staff who checked us in was a little nervous.
- Titch (10/5): - Clean, friendly staff and Food was of a very good standard. Whats not to like.
