Guest Reviews
- Robert (1/5): Won't stay there again - Price, location Roaches, dirty, foul smell, no knob on sink, poor repair and just dirty everywhere
- John (2/5): Roaches....................all over, very active. ( under Construction. Never saw anything on line -
- Edward (1/5): - Nothing Filthy
- Darla (4/5): - The location of to where I needed to be all wknd Saw some roaches crawling around. If we wanted to eat breakfast was 10 a person which I feel it should not matter which building you were in breakfast should been included. The bathroom could of been lil bigger nt ur legs hitting the tub when trying to use the toilet. Big room with lil tv
- casas (2/5): Cheap but gross - Location and room size Roaches, bedbugs, the entire outside looked super run down
- Kaye (1/5): Refund please - It was a nasty place. Canceled with booking.com your manager has not filled out the information needed to get a refund from booking.com
I was also pulled over by the police in front of the property of your motel and was harassed by the police because they thought I was selling drugs there. It was a nasty place. Canceled with booking.com your manager has not filled out the information needed to get a refund from booking.com

- Febe (1/5): The staff were very unhelpful.. they didn’t care about the guests needs. Very unkind as well… only the cleaners were so -
- Stephen (1/5): WORST - Probably the worst hotel I have ever experienced, and I travel a lot. The whole building feels dark and creepy with dirty carpet in the hallways. There is a sour smell throughout the building. My room had no smoke alarm, just the base where it was supposed to be. There were big flecks of black stuff on the floor below the heater. There was a big hole in my bedspread. Thought of reporting it to the health department. The Quality Inn across the road is MUCH nicer and costs about the same. I had stayed there before but it was booked so I tried this. Big mistake.
- Misty (1/5): SUB PAR - 0/5 Stars: Unsafe, Unclean, and Major Disruptions - AVOID THIS PROPERTY
This hotel is NOT even a 2 start property. We booked thru BOOKING.com and had a 4 star rating...NO NO NO Our stay was unacceptable and unsafe. AVOID BOOKING until construction is complete and management addresses critical issues.
The most severe problem was the property was under construction the first floor was not even accessible. You couldn't even use the first floor elevator to access your rooms from the lobby. To get to the third floor we had to walk across the property find a stairwell get to the 2nd floor then use the elevator to access the 3rd floor.
The room was filthy: purple stains on the bed sheets, a threadbare and heavily stained couch, and damaged furniture. The entire environment was disruptive:
The second floor reeked of weed and beer....
Loud construction noise continuing until nearly midnight on a Saturday.
The parking lot was littered with trash and cigarette butts.
Our key cards failed repeatedly, forcing us to wait 20 minute before the issue was resolved.
We were not informed of construction at the time of booking. When I raised these issues, including the safety hazard, the front desk refused to assist, telling me to contact the booking agent for a refund. Complete failure of customer service and safety standards
Acess doors on each floor were not locked were not secure any one could have walked into the hotel .
NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE>
- Ben (1/5): Worst hotel I’ve ever been to I did not stay - The bar staff It was disgusting they had cockroaches
- Larry (2/5): - Roaches....... enough said
- Kevin (4/5): - The property is going under much needed repair, remodeling and updating. It as a long way to go.
- Audra (4/5): - They could do better
- Naomi (2/5): - They have roaches!!!
- Delores (8/5): Not sure what to give as a review. - They were in the middle of renovations BUT......I explained I was having breathing issues and needed as close as possible. They booked me in a room in another building with the room at the END of a LONG hallway. No offer of help of any kind. Thankfully, a young man that actually worked there found me about to collapse on the way to my room and helped me get there safely.
- Chance (2/5): - My husband checked in here for a business trip and it was a quick check out. I called ahead of time to ask questions and the male i talked with was very unpleasant and seemed to care less about his job. We were unaware of any remodeling going on and its a double building being made into 1. The check in desk was far from his room and he was given an inactive key for his door 3 times and made to make a long walk back and forth to try and reactivate it. It was found out someone was in that room already. 😳 they tried 6 more rooms. Finally getting him into one it was absolutely terrible the hallway was a disaster with drywall everywhere and a dirty mattress leaned against the wall and mold exposed on another wall outside of his roomm. He quickly asked to check out and for a refund. Them approving the refund so quickly was tbe best part of the entire experience.
- Jason (2/5): Not good stay - It was not good. They had no towels available. None in the room. Said they would look. Never received any. Window was open in room and would never shut. Toilet ran the whole time. Hallway smelled bad the entire time, though said no weed signs were posted.
- Mary (2/5): - I booked Econo Lodge and they could not provide a room and put me in a room in the Clarion. When I checked at the desk on the 28th, the manager said I had 3 days. When I returned, I had to pay again for the 28th. The window leading to the terrace was water soaked and taped up so the carpet was soaked. There was also a woman screaming in one of the room. This morning, manager refused to give me a receipt for paying the night before and told the staff to call the police if there was a problem. The fitness center was unsafe and the bicycle was the only thing that worked. I never went swimming because I was afraid of the staff. This place should be shut down.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Infested with Roaches - Many cockroaches, all the sheets, carpets, and towels are stained and rooms smell like smoke. Nothing the managers could do about it since it was nonrefundable.
- Carmen (5/5): -
- Carmen (6/5): -
- David (8/5): - I actually stayed in the next building at the clarion hotel! There were no rooms available at the econo lodge, because of renovations!
- Amanda (2/5): - Got 3 rooms no organization to this hotel poor communication in management period !
- Trevion (2/5): - Door keys didn’t work for the door , the door was stuck closed locking us inside , the smell was terrible and just an absolute horrible time
- Ashley (2/5): Back door - We thought we were staying in the main hotel, then when we checked in they told us to go to the bsck of the hotel to another entrance and it is like night and day, we have stayed in this hotel before, the main part, where you check in at, but never stayed at the back entrance. It was like a broken down version of the other part of the hotel, at least there were no bed bugs, but i will not stay there again.
- Jacob (5/5): It was a safe place to rest for the night. - Staff was friendly and helpful even though they were under pressure. Cigarettes everywhere, stains on the sheets, mediocre facilities, wi-fi disconnects every 5 minutes.
- Mike (3/5): -
- Brad (2/5): - I checked in went to my room and left disgusting place. Crack heads living at the hotel, Didn’t even try to get reimbursement for the room,Place was gross roaches in the hall way
- ElerineDe’Carrie (2/5): - Never ever will recommend. Renovation means new and I was done when I seen the bed bugs and stained box spring the bathroom with mold. Nope I’m not about that life. Police took a man jail early in the morning.what they show as picture is a different visual and reception area noisy loud tv and the check-in was 45 minutes . They were not knowledgeable about their job duties. The covers are another topic. No parking is open only available at front entrance
- Terry (2/5): - Nasty and stinks
- Donald (4/5): - Didn't like anything other than it had hot water in the shower. Will never stay there again
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Walked in the 1st room it was disgusting, burn holes in bed, urine spot in the floor, bugs, trash, food everywhere. The 2nd room was even worse, bed bugs
- Shylynn (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - It is close to walmart, and the QT next door is great! First off, the beds are hard as a rock, and it does not look anything like the pictures. The only "nice looking" part of the hotel is the lobby. The floor was really dirty and had food on it at check-in. They didn't come and clean the room as requested or bring anything we requested. We asked for towels and were told by housekeeping that they "did not have any" and went to the front desk 2x and called multiple to try to get someone to bring toilet paper to the room. We wound up having to go buy some for the room.
- James (2/5): - There was mold through the whole room. We asked for a refund but never could get a manager to call back. Had to spend more money to stay at different hotel on the same location.
- Samantha (4/5): Stay here if you need something extremely cheap - Stunk of mildew and weed all through out the hotel. Horrible beds and pillows. Toliet made a horrible squeaking noise when flushed. Stains on towels and bedding
- Carol (1/5): I was very disappointed in my decision to stay here. - Staff was super friendly The room was filthy. There were crumbs, pistachio shells everywhere around the furniture, glue traps for rats, and the hall carpets were soaking wet. My niece immediately started having an allergic reaction as soon as we stepped into the place. The front office was beautiful and immaculate. You would have no clue as to what you are about to step into. There were no working ice machines and the place was just awful.
- Jennifer (2/5): Not The Best - This was the WORST stay EVER. Our room wasn't clean. There were random people hanging around in the hotel lobby and corridors. Some of these people had dogs that were not people-friendly, let alone pet-friendly. We couldn't walk out of the corridor where our room was because that's where those people chose to hang out. Same with the pool area. We had to cancel that reservation and move to the "nicer" side of the same hotel, the Clarion. The Econo was more of an extended stay, not suitable for a family vacation.
- Andrew (2/5): - The hotel is deceivingly acceptable from the outside. However, inside it is the decapitated, the room's are dirty and unkept. We found animal hair on the beds and the bathrooms were unclean. And the rooms wreak of cigarette smoke. I feel sorry for the staff and place the blame cearly on CHOICE Hotels executive management.
- Randi (5/5): Passable - Their outdoor pool. Housekeeping doesn’t clean your room or give you anything unless you request it on a card that they leave in the room.
- Melissa (1/5): I will never go back to this hotel or tell anyone else to go there - The room that I reserved was not the room I got they said that it did not get cleaned. The hallway and the room smelled so bad I was getting a migraine and I am disabled and that was the room I reserved and I had to walk clear to the back of the hotel and then you could not park at the back of the hotel or on the sides of it you had to park out front and walk the whole way I was hurting by time I got to the room then I felt like throwing up. I went to the front desk and they said that they could move me to the 3rd floor and I had to climb up three flights of stairs and then back down I told them that I could not do that and then the lady said that I can cancel my reservation. So I called to cancel it and get my money back and all of it The service and the way they treated me.
The room smelled so gross and I wanted to throw up
- Dora (8/5): Very good -
- mary (2/5): - There was no wifi and the customer service was horrible. There was BLACK MOLD in the bathroom and made us both very ill. MINUS 4 STARS. Aweful. Worst hotel visit of my life. Autumn H. , the manager at the time was terrible and RESISTANT to helping us at all.
- Sarah (4/5): - Hotel itself had a really weird smell, and wasn’t in great condition. Area around it was okay.
- Irene (1/5): Bad -
- Amber (1/5): Bad - The place was under construction, didnt show it when I booked it. The doors to the room and the buildings didnt lock.
- Michael (8/5): - Promised free breakfast was not available unless paid for or staying in the Clarion next to the Econolodge.
- Kike (2/5): - Bed was dirty no towels people tried opening my door and the next day checkout lady was trying to come in my room said that my room was listed that it wasn’t reserved
- Andrea (2/5): - Parking lot was horrible. Enter in a "locked" did that was not locking just to get hit in the nose with smell of stale air musty and marijuana. Hallways needed housekeeping very bad. Elevator slammed so hard it startled you as it closed.
- Mykala (1/5): It was gross and unpleasant - Nothing The roaches, the smell,
- AnnMarie (2/5): - This hotel needs to get it together
- Arthur (6/5): - out side doors did not lock , carpet in halls was old and dirty, shower control difficult to adjust water temp, tub slippery with no grab bars or strips for safety, room was clean towels large soft and absorbent, ac worked well and bed was comfortable. you get what you pay for it would not be on top of my list but would stay there again if I could not find comperable price options.
- William (1/5): Bad - Cheapest hotel around Unprofessional staff. Discussing problems with coworkers the entire time I was at the desk. Dirty and disheveled......well everything. Ended up turning the keys back in and leaving
- Barneck (1/5): Bad -
- Arielle (2/5): Hotel room with unwelcome tenants. - When getting comfortable into my room, I felt it was giving a very homey environment. That was before all the roaches came out of nowhere. Literally there was three roaches that came out from underneath the AC unit, a roach in the middle of the night climbed on my leg in the bed, also when using the bathroom, there were small little mite size bugs that were just coming out of the caulking of the tub. I wanted to ask for a refund, but I felt as if that was a little too much. All in all I would rather go back to Cancun, Mexico and stay at one of their hotels Rather than Econ Lodge again.
- Rebecca (1/5): Never again! - They were having problems with keys. They were working on rooms. The elevators were poorly adjusted.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do NOT stay here - Run down and absolutely disgusting, nothing like the pictures online. The hallways stink like wet, mildewy carpet. The room was not cleaned, bed not made, holes in the wall, really gross across the board. My card was charged twice, plus an additional pet fee. I don’t even know how they had my card on file. I asked for a refund, which was supposedly issued, and then left. Still waiting to confirm my payment gets returned. $300 tied up in purgatory til the refund comes through. I’m very frustrated with this entire situation.
- Nicole (4/5): You get what you pay for. - Front desk was great. There was black mold in the bathroom and bed bugs. I wasn’t told that my room was in another building, so I wandered the buildings for a while. It’s free access into the hotel and there’s lots of construction, so it’s quite unsafe.
- Nicolette (2/5): - On 4/4/25 I tried checking into this hotel. It was a terrible situation. An hour in line, make it to the counter, staff being yelled at by a "trainer" from Georgia who instead of taking care of business, there were at least 9 people in line trying to check in, was admonishing these new clerks in front of everyone. She was more concerned about the cleaning documents than the people at the counter. That could have been handled after customers were taken care of.
Six people had come back because people were in the rooms they were given cards for (they were assigning rooms that had already been given out). 4 people came back because the rooms were still dirty, and one guy came back because there were 4 dogs in his room. Two guys were outside yelling at each other, not sure why. And out of all the people filled up in the lobby, The first floor and lobby area smelled like cigarette smoke and dogs.
I had my share of this worst customer service and watching new employees be completely demoralized in front of all of us and left. I ended up staying at another hotel where I was safe.
- Dorothy (6/5): - The front staff was amazing I’ve stayed here before and will again
- Thomas (3/5): It was ok, the front desk lady made it right - The lady at the front desk was lovely My room as I entered looked like someone else was staying there
- Kennedy (7/5): Good -
- Barneck (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barneck (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barneck (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zonnie (7/5): We had a pleasant stay it was close to the hospital that's what we liked - It was just fine If we we have a little more time for breakfast we were kind of rushed out of there we did not realize it was a certain time but thank you anyway
- Juan (1/5): Bad - Nothing Upon entering the building it smelled like dog and the room was infested with cockroaches. The next morning I appear with bites all over my body
- Mariann (8/5): - it was great. quiet and clean
- Mariann (10/5): - it was a great 😃 experience.
- Mariann (10/5): - it's a wonderful place. will use it again 😺 for sure 😊
- Pierce (1/5): Just don't - It's horrible smokey dirty bad smell poor staff
- John (2/5): - Not good they charged me even tho I never checked in and when I told them I charged the wrong card to it they did not refund it not only that I had a friend who told me they found a bed bug and roaches there. And when I pulled up to the hotel and was told that I pulled out and got pulled over by the police who had also told me that area was well known for illegal activity
- Grant (4/5): - Help desk were... helpful.
- Emerson (2/5): - I would recommend only to people that like roaches and had mold and it looked like they painted the bathtub with the same paint they paint the wall walls because it was peeling off
- Aaron (2/5): - It should of come with free breakfast and the staff was very rude. Won't ever stay here again.
- Barneck (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (4/5): Not so good - Smelled pretty bad there was roaches bed wasent that comfy and pillows wert wont go back
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointed - We booked the room for two nights and stayed for 10 minutes. As soon as we got in our hallway we could smell pets and smoke. In our room there were cigarette burns in our comforter, stains on our sheets and several roaches throughout the room, including our bathroom and in the bed. We checked out without staying a single night. Lost out on $107.44.
- Tonya (3/5): Poor - The price was decent. The bathroom was too small. You couldn't shut the door when using the facility. The flooring wasn't installed properly. The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were flat.
- shaquyle (2/5): - Had cockroaches... smelled like straight smoke, water stains on the walls. Cigarette burns in blankets on both beds.
- Dane (4/5): Disappointing -
- James D Crain (6/5): - The pictures looked good. When I arrived, the actual room was kind of sketchy. Stains on the carpet. Stains on the blankets. Stains on the bathtub. Actually, there were stains everywhere to the point I didn't take my socks off the entire stay. The room key worked...most of the time. The heater unit sounded like an Alfred Hitchcock movie. The television remote had a goo on it I didn't want to identify. Yes, there was cockroaches, but in truth, I only saw three. I killed two, but one of them apparently saw Squid Game and got away. Speaking of games, the EconoLodge elevator made me want to play that wonderful elevator game "will it trap me inside for all time with no cell coverage?" Spoiler: I lost every time. But the shower water pressure was decent, nice hot water. It was pretty quiet. So not all was bad. I'm probably being overly critical.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don’t come here - Had roaches, smelled of marijuana, never got my room cleaned the entire 5 day stay there
- Melissa (8/5): Very good -
- Fields (1/5): Bad -
- Melissa (6/5): - It was ok other than roaches and strong wet dog smell and my room smelled like olc man cologne.
- James (3/5): overall decent - breakfast was good extended time for breakfast
- Christopher (2/5): - Place was absolutely disgusting, rooms smelled like dog urine and actually watched a lady let her dog pee in the hallway. Front desk lady was lazy and couldn’t even acknowledge I was there and when she did was rude as hell. Never will I go back and never will I recommend to anyone. Pictures on website are very deceiving. If I could get my money back I would absolutely get it back in a heart beat.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disgusting!! DO NOT STAY!!!!!!!!!! - DO NOT STAY!!!!!!
Mold, stains, cigarette burns. Doors on cabinets were off the hinges, door locks barely work, bathrooms disgusting. 00/10,000. If I could give this hotel a negative score, I COMPLETELY would. People fixing cars in the parking lot, poop all over the sidewalk and grass from Dogs. Whole building smells of smoke. DO NOT STAY!!!
- Barneck (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (2/5): We stayed in our car at a truck stop instead - We never actually got to stay. We were travelling across country from San Francisco back to Ontario Canada and this was supposed to be our stop for the night. We got there in the middle of the night and when we arrived there was nobody at the desk for at least 30 minutes. Another hotel patron was down at the desk waiting for someone because he had locked himself out of his room and he said he had been waiting for 20-30 minutes. There was a note and a phone number to call, which we called 3-4 times with no answer as well as directly calling the hotel desk and also no answer. By the time the lady finally came back, she told us we were too late and she already did her audit and cancelled our reservation and there was nothing she could do about it. She then helped the other guest waiting and gave him the wrong room key. Then when we asked how much it would be to pay for the room we already had booked, she tried to tell us double the price we had already paid. By this time it was almost 4 am, she wouldn’t give us a refund or the room for even 2 hours or some kind of deal. We ended up sleeping in our car at a truck stop instead after driving for 12 hours.
- Steven (2/5): - Halls and room were completely disgusting. Smelled like urine everywhere. Sheets were covered little black and brown specs and had holes. Checked out immediately and never stayed the night.
- Alex (10/5): - For the price it’s OK the staff was amazing. They were right on point doing their job and very helpful and respectful,
- Pinky (1/5): Bad -
- Allissa (4/5): - You get what you pay for
- Ijaz (2/5): - This worse motel I stayed in my life very bad condition in and out very bad smell in your room and outside people smoking and hanging out night and smoking all over and also verse very noisy
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place smelled really bad and my family and I did not feel safe in this location.
- Sherry (2/5): Very poor - price key didnt work twice, carpet was gross
- John (7/5): too many people wandering around floors threatens security and after three days somebody disabled do - breakfast? nothing mentioned at check in, nothing visible save coffee and cups near working elevator Keys not working final night of stay due to somebody dismantling part of door that held key\battery unit; had to switch rooms once security was able to unlock door, enabling me to get all of my stuff up to 4th floor room
- Felicia (2/5): Was not worth the price I paid. - The room was large It smelled terrible. There were intoxicated people and drug addicts hanging out through out the halls and outside the facility. I was very uncomfortable
- Stephanie (2/5): STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY!!!! - This is the worst hotel i've ever been to. it smells like urine and feces. There are drug deals going on and cockroaches in the hallways. Children are left alone asking where their mommy is because they have no food and are hungry. The front desk didnt seem concerned or bothered by it and said that is their business not hers.
