- Bernard (2/5): Ne pas y aller - Hôtel des années 1950 au tarif 2024 : Espérons que le nouveau propriétaire (depuis 9 mois nous a-t-on dit) fera de gros travaux mais en attendant surtout ne pas y aller. De plus on n'a pas voulu nous faire de facture prétextant que nous n'avions pas réservé directement mais via "Hotel.com". La carte bleue est pourtant bien au noms de hôtel des couronnes....

- Celine (4/5): Je ne conseille pas ! - L'accueil etait parfait, c'est d'ailleurs la seule chose de bien! Le chauffage n'etait pas mis a mon arrivée donc un vrai glacon. La fenêtre de ma chambre ne fermait pas et j'ai donc profité du froid de la nuit ainsi que du bruit important de la rue. Les joints de la salle de bain étaient moisis, le carrelage cassé et la moquette dans la chambre tachée +++. Je déconseille fortement

- DEREK (6/5): - The meal choice was very limited but in December with only one other couple staying at the hotel this was hardly surprising. Communal areas and the bedroom need decorating and updating but the room was warm, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and in that respect it was "value for money"

Bref a part l'accueil sympathique à notre arrivée, rien de bien.

Le monsieur nous a gentiment proposé une chambre de 2 avec un lit double. La personne assurant les plateaux du petit-déjeuner est également très souriante et disponible.

- Fabienne (6/5): TRES TRES TRES DECUE - Bien accueilli mais les chambres sont très vétustes. Pour moi c'est un hôtel fantôme pas de personnel. Personne pour aider à monter et descendre les bagages. La Publicite par internet les photos ne correspondent pas du tout au cadre de l'hôtel. C'est mensonger. La télévision je n'avais pas toutes les chaînes et on ne peut pas le dire à l'hôtelier il n'est jamais là.
- Martial (4/5): - Repas très decevant pour 16€ l'entrée et plat... Des jeunes gens, apparemment logé à l'hôtel, mettent une atmosphère très particulière... Ça faisait la deuxième année que j'y allai, j'irai plus.

Portes qui claquent, cris ..... jusqu’à 4h du matin et personne ne dit rien, pour être réveillés à 7h. Moisissures dans la salle de bain. Oublié bouilloire et sachets de thé car l eau chaude est déjà très limitée. Je déconseille fortement.

- Ivan (2/5): A éviter! - Papier peint moisi dans la chambre, salle de bain avec des joints défectueux et service du petit déjeuner fermé dix minutes avant l'heure marquée sur les papiers, avec en prime des réflexions plus que désagréables de la part du serveur! Franchement, cet hôtel ne mérite aucune des 3 étoiles délivrées en 2014! Il serait temps qu'il soit visité de nouveau afin d'éviter de tromper les clients sur l'accueil et le confort de cet hôtel....

- Verified traveler (4/5): - Vasque et baignoire propres, mais l’état de l’hôtel n’a rien d’équivalent à un classement 3 étoiles... La chambre était très très basique, la salle de bains avec un lavabo bancale, une robinetterie branlante etc. Bref, malgré un accueil rapide et avec le sourire, dans une atmosphère sombre (lumières éteintes, porte close, volets fermés, réception avec rideau à moitié fermé etc.), nous sommes véritablement très éloignés des standards de l’hôtellerie, si ce n’est peut-être celle d’un sans étoile?

Propre mais vieillot : salle de bain antique, manque de prises, tapisserie démodée, peu de chaines TV disponibles. Literie correcte, double vitrage. Karaoke jusqu a minuit le samedi soir.

A fuir absolument

- George (4/5): Give this one a miss. - If we hadn’t have been so tired after a long drive, we would probably just have walked out. Very, very old fashioned, I don’t think it had been decorated in 20 years or more. Not dirty as such, it just felt and looked it. The bed sheets were clean, but un-ironed and very creased, so gave the impression that they had been slept in. All doors on the corridor needed a spray of WD40, they made so much noise on opening. Do not bother with breakfast, just not worth it whatever they charge. No plates, lukewarm coffee from a flask, a boiled egg and a tiny roll or croissant. Go to a local cafe instead. On a more positive note, the staff were helpful and friendly. Overall, a big disappointment.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Budget - Get what you pay for. We ended up not staying as had thought there was a hotel car park but was just street parking. As we had camper full of bikes and fishing gear did not feel comfortable leaving on the street. Châteaudun is beautiful
- Peter (4/5): Hotel Saint Louis - A fairly old and rundown hotel but close to the centre. Cheap.Too hot, no a/c.Needed to sleep with windows open on a noisy road.In future I would pay just a little more and stay in one of the newer budget hotels.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely architecture and nice staff - I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I felt very welcome and the room was nice and clean. Quiet location but also in the middle of the main city still.
- Geli (4/5): You get what you pay for? No, you get less!! - Person who booked us in was disinterested and did not give information regarding wifi password or hotel re-entry code. No information in room, either. We were in Room 1, which was small and basic, but clean. The bathroom had a small tub and shower, which were fine, but the toilet had a completely broken wooden seat- had to wrap toilet paper around the broken bits or risk 'pinch-injury'. Floor tiles were breaking up and lifting off. When we went to bed at 10:30pm, all was quiet and the bed was comfy. Great, at least we would get a good sleep - oh, how wrong can you be! The bar/club in the hotel revved up to a very loud volume at around 11pm and the techno 'thump-thump' accompanied us through the night until at least 3:30am, when I finally fell asleep. One of the worst nights of my life! Breakfast was a waste of money - not much more than some dried up rolls served on a plastic tray - no plates. Suggest you take a short walk to nearby café for a cheaper and better start to the day.
- Kevin (8/5): Quaint hotel in a quaint little town - The St. Louis is a reflection of the town of Chateaudun itself: It is quiet, cozy and comfortable. I stayed there with my girlfriend for three nights in mid December - we spoke little French, so our biggest struggle was communicating with the hotel staff, who were also the owners. They were wonderful hosts and our experience there was fantastic. The accommodations were much more like an apartment or bed and breakfast than a typical hotel - Large room and large bathroom. The restaurant attached to the hotel was terrific and also is the only place open in the town on Monday nights. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
