Guest Reviews
- Mrs. Melendez (10/5): -
- Cynthia (9/5): - Ataff was excellent and the rooms very nice. Coukd use some updates, but overall very nice place to stay. We would stay there agsin.
- Omar (8/5): -
- Rajesh (4/5): - Location Rooms could be better kept. Seems like it is a beaten down property
- Amy (8/5): - Was perfect for what we needed which was a one night stay near the border. For a two star hotel, it was fine. The staff was very friendly and had no issues with the room.
- Virginia (7/5): Clean comfortable, price too high. - We have been coming for some years. Rooms have been redone a couple of years ago. They are quite comfortable. Prices have gone up. Since breakfast is not offered, the combination of cost of room and eating out, we can pay for a hotel with breakfast included.
- Adnan (10/5): -
- Thanh Cong (1/5): -
- Larada (8/5): Good basic place - It was very quiet and was in an area that made it easy to walk my dog. The bed was comfortable. The room had a strange old smell to it. It is possible it came from the air conditioner or the chair as the room itself was clean. They charged an extra $35 for my dog, which I thought was high.
- El (9/5): -
- Jerome (8/5): I’m glad I stayed there - it made me smile. - This place has charm oozing from it and the people running it are fantastic and friendly. It’s a built in the early 1960’s place which is being heroically upgraded/restored, but is not up to date in all ways so keep that in mind.
- Muhammad (2/5): The owner of property did not refund my security of $ 100 when i check out and his behave was very -
- Anthony (7/5): Adequate - Friendly staff Older facilities
- Desinghe (1/5): Refused to refund me for the day I didn't stay and tried to blame booking.com when it was the owners - Location is terrible. Price was insane, compared to motels within half an hour in Bellingham.
- Clive (7/5): Good location before crossing the border. A decent enough place for being an old motel. - Staff was helpful. Hotel was quiet and clean. Large room with one King bed and a sofa. Mattress was hard and bouncy. Pillows were too hard. Some stains on the carpet, but otherwise clean. No cups available for use in the microwave. Trains run by within a half mile, several times in the night, blowing its whistle.
- Dalina (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious room with all the basics covered. Very cozy .
- Frank (9/5): Superb - Bed was very comfortable. no soap or shampoo in shower/toilet room--located in adjoining lavatory area.
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - The bed was so Comfortable!
The staff very responsive!
- Nawaz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Musa (10/5): Exceptional - Price need to be teduce Price
- Abdul (3/5): Poor -
- Ian (7/5): Satisfied - BREAKFAST OBTAINED OFF SITE. Premises a bit hard to find.
- Matias (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (9/5): Very good - Liked the hardwood floor. The place was clean. Quiet.
- Haydeh (10/5): Exceptional - Clean nice room
Marie reception lady was friendly There were not trashcans in bathroom and bedroom either tissue boxes
Iron
Room door needs a hard lock for inside
towels were very old and smelled colorex
There was an odor in the room, which I didn’t like
- Rowena (7/5): Good - I thought it was a bit expensive.
- Leo (8/5): I was happy with the facilities! - Too far for restaurants
- Karen (7/5): Good - Excellent bed!
- Shelley (9/5): Superb -
- Jon (2/5): So much for a romantic weekend. - The room looked like it was partially updated. The bed was so uncomfortable that I ended up sleeping on the couch. There was a bunch of construction material right in front of our room. There was also temporary fencing around the buildings.
- Esam (1/5): Bad - Nature The property manager is not responding to my emails to cancel my booking on time. The moment you paid or you booked, they will never cancel or return any money. They will ignore all your requests.
- Muhammad (3/5): Poor -
- Gretchen (4/5): Disappointing - Location for trip into Canada was excellent. Price was Ok, but expected nicer room. Wifi was useless, AC was terribly loud, interfering with sleep, room was very dark. Lights flickered. Bathroom wasn't in best condition and hot cold was reversed.
- Ezekiel (5/5): Passable -
- Arshjot (1/5): Not happy - There are some problems in room bathroom have ugly smell , bath tub also stop water otherwise room was good nd clean Bathroom because of smell nd bathtub block water
- Theresa (7/5): Good - The room had been renovated and was clean and comfortable. Great for a one night stay. Reasonably priced. Renovations were underway to replace the old stairway to the second floor rooms. It was a little farther from the downtown area than I thought it was, but there was a good pedestrian walkway.
- Weir (1/5): Bad -
- Meghan (7/5): Good - we stayed a week prior in a second floor unit and we really liked it. this time we requested to be on the bottom floor due to having too much heavy luggage to cart up the stairs. at check in he was very hesitant to give us the bottom floor and I know why. the upstairs is renovated and had duvets and nice sheets, comfy beds, pillows, etc. downstairs has old comforters and the traditional motel blankets. the mattresses and pillows were still comfy. bottom floor room had a musty smell in the room itself and the bathroom smelled of urine despite being clean (soaked into tile grout maybe?). upstairs room the previous week had none of these issues and was very pleasant. I think they leave the downstairs for longs stays usually. they didn't want to give us lower level and if we had less luggage we should have taken top floor like they wanted to give us as our previous experience on the top floor was great.
- Merwick (7/5): Good -
- Cheney (9/5): A Comfortable
Little Oasis in Blaine - The owners are so sweet! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The owners work 7 days/ week, smiling and gracious the whole time. I suggested bigger, softer towels. The showerheads are the older, low-in-the shower type, so we all had to squat to take showers. They are newer owners, and I know these upgrades are expensive, so someday ... I also highly encouraged them to take a vacation. :)
- Laurie (9/5): Superb -
- Meghan (7/5): Good value and clean. Basic but comfortable - Great location close to the border and walking distance to restaurants etc

- Palwinder (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jayne (7/5): Comfortable bed but not as clean as I expected. - Location and on ground floor. A little run down looking.
- Ellen (8/5): Very good -
- Clint (1/5): Bad - Bookin. Com unfortunately made an error when I was filling out the app. I booked the 27th for some reason the computer switched it to the 28th. So if you ask how my stay was on the 28th. I wasn't there. My stay on the 27th was good. Internet reception was terrible.
- Elnaz (8/5): Very good -
- Arash (8/5): good for the price, perfect access to the border and the peace arch -

- Mark (9/5): Great choice - Location and how clean it was. Nothing really - it had all I needed
- Mohannad (1/5): Bad -
- Marlon (3/5): Poor -
- Mohammad (9/5): Superb -
- Christal (7/5): Ok. It was clean, cheap and for the cost was ok - The manager was helpful. But there was a launguage issue. Communication. The parking lot was not plowed so the trucks that use this motel got stuck and a wrecker had to be called.
- Zaheer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manpreet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristi (8/5): Bottom line...I would stay there again. It was clean and comfortable. - This was super convenient to the border crossing. The beds were comfortable. The TV worked fine. The office staff were friendly. In fact we were a little late checking in on our first night but he opened the door and made us feel welcome anyway. The heat didn't work the first night. It seemed to only blow cold air even when set as high as 85. I finally turned it off thinking the room would be "warmer" without the cold air blowing. It was still quite chilly in the room but better. The next night i turned it back on to see if i would have the same problem. That seemed to reset it because it warmed up right away.
- Terence (10/5): Awesome stay. Awesome staff - The place was close to several gas stations. Conveniently situated close to I5 Nothing

- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Location. A 5 min walk to Peace Arch Park,
Easy to get to border crossing in the morning. Room was very clean and comfortable. Very quiet from outside noises. Too many plugged in things had lights (to show it was on) which kept the room well during the night. Resisters keep clicking. Annoyances.

- Harriet (3/5): For the money I would expect a higher standard - It was a low quality motel charging a high quality price. It was clean but carpets were stained. It was tired and stained. The bed linen was clean but the blanket and bed spread smelled old and used.
