The staff was really kind and attentionate, and the hostel building calm and well located (regular buses, about 10-15min to City center). The "girl's only"room I was in was the Best room I had ever had in a hostel ! It is at the 3rd floor with no neighbours above, lots of windows racing the calm countryside, and the beds are separated by walls which creates some nice personal space. 5/5 no doubt

Ambienti comuni, corridoi, disimpegni ben dimensionati e luminosi. Distributori automatici. Personale all'altezza. Coperte in camera e lenzuola. Due bagni comuni in ogni semipiano separati uomo/donna. Colazione compresa con cornetto (purtroppo solo di tipo vuoto), confetture/nutella, succo, distributore caffe/cappuccino, cornflakes, fette biscottate. Ampi spazi al piano terra con tavoli e tv, libri, giochi da tavolo. Giardino su più lati. Piccolo parcheggio pubblico sul retro (via Napoli) proprio sotto l'ostello, in alternativa parcheggi in strada facili da trovare. Posizione periferica rispetto al centro città, 2-3 km. Fermata autobus nelle vicinanze.

• Aneta (10/5): Satisfied with my stay - well managed hostel. Stayed in a single room, clean, quiet, clean bedding, inexpensive, efficient girl at check-in. No complaints. Everything was o.k. If in Siena again I'll stay there.
• Carlos Alberto (6/5): Típico albergue - Reservamos um quarto com cama de casal e nos deram um qto com beliche e uma cama de solteiro. Banheiros em condições ruins, sendo que um estava sem luz e válvula vazando água direto. Vc recebe lençol e arruma sua cama. Se precisar de toalha para banho precisa pagar a parte. Fornece café da manhã bem simples. Longe dos pontos turísticos mas a vantagem para quem está de carro é que tem estacionamento Free, o que é difícil achar em quase toda Itália elementos hotéis mais simples. É de fácil localização pelo menos para quem chega de carro.

Notte infernale a causa della confusione provocata per 3 ore da una scolaresca. Non è colpa del gestore ovviamente. Fuori mano ma un prezzo decisamente concorrenziale.

It was nice that they had separate men’s and women’s rooms. It was a bit of a hassle to get the right bus out there, a few miles from the historic city center.

• Jasmine (6/5): Nice atmosphere; no kitchen use; bed bugs - First impression of this place was really nice, it seemed big & well equipped for lots of people. It’s really close to the bus stop, not too far from the train station and only a short bus ride to the city centre. I got a bit frustrated because for some reason the kitchen is off limits to guests? I was allowed to put some food in the fridge but I was reprimanded for entering the kitchen (to fill up my drink bottle). Part of the reason you stay in a hostel is probably because you can’t afford to eat out constantly, cooking your own food is sometimes just the better option. Possibly the most frustrating thing was when a girl in my dorm claimed she had bed bug bites, and suprise, one day later I have all 5 night’s worth of bed bug bites all over my arms, neck and legs. Also, for young girls travelling, there was this older Italian man who didn’t work there but was there all the time anyway, seemed to hang around me, stare at me, and try to speak to me constantly even though we literally could not communicate or understand each other at all, just made me feel a bit uncomfortable. All that aside, I met some really lovely people, a staff member took two of us on a little evening trip to a country town, the building itself is pretty spacey and nice. This stay could have been really pleasant, one of my best, if it wasn’t for those few things.

• Nuccio (8/5): Cortesi e disponibili. - La struttura è ampia e ariosa, con molto spazio "comunitario", sia interno che esterno. Mediamente abbastanza pulito, con una lieve insufficienza, invece, per la camera ma, visto che ci si va solo per riposare, non è fondamentale. Una nota decisamente positiva è per il personale, decisamente cortese e disponibile, oltre che simpatico. Con una passeggiata di una mezz'oretta si è al centro di Siena, mentre la zona della struttura è decisamente tranquilla. Tutto sommato, un piacevole soggiorno.

The location is really far from the central but the bus stops are close by. Breakfast was simple and decent. Overall, it was good value for the money that I paid.

Im not going to go into more detail, but we had bed bugs crawling all over us within the first hour of our afternoon nap. The bed bugs infested my luggage, and now, two weeks later, I have a bed bug infestation in my own flat back home!
• Verified traveler (10/5): 一人旅でもで安く泊まれる - 当日シエナを観光しようと思っていたので、チェックイン前に荷物を預かってもらった。 ドミトリーは12人部屋だけど、2、3人ずつ部屋の中で仕切られて広々しているので窮屈さを全く感じない。部屋の外にバルコニーがあり、景色を楽しめる。 無料の朝食はクロワッサン、シリアル、コーヒーと簡易なもの。チェックアウトは鍵をレセプションに置いてある箱に入れるだけでok。 中心街からは離れているのでホステル前から出ているバスを使った方がよい。フィレンツェへ行き(帰り)のバス停も近く便利。 夜でも街に繰り出したい人には不便かもしれないが、シエナでのんびり過ごしたい人にはおすすめ。

• Camilla (8/5): Soggiorno breve, ma piacevole! - Ho soggiornato solo una notte all'hostel guidoriccio, tuttavia sono rimasta soddisfatta. Il personale si è dimostrato gentile e disponibile. Appena arrivata con una mia amica, non potendo fare il check in per problemi dell'hostel, ci è stato offerto da bere durante l'attesa. La camera era pulita e dotata anche di lavandino, così da non dover fare tutto nei bagni comuni. Inoltre il rapporto qualità/prezzo è ottimo!

Sono sempre pronte a socializzare con gli ospiti e a dare consigli. In particolare, nel mio caso non hanno esitato ad aiutarmi in un momento di difficoltà (mi sono preso un'insolazione girando a Siena in agosto e hanno fatto i possibile per aiutarmi a far passare la febbre). Ci tornerei volentieri!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Wonderful, friendly staff; no air conditioning - The hostel was nice and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly, but keep in mind that during the summer it is very hot. I had a hard time sleeping due to the heat and had to keep getting up to buy cold water from the vending machine to hold against me to stay cool. Not a good fit if you're sensitive to sleeping in the heat and need air conditioning.

• Verified traveler (6/5): It needs to stop mprove - The hostel was cute, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. So, it has the most important characteristics, but it needs better management. The breakfast had no fruit or yogurt, only sugar. Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper, the front desk had no change, the people who were supposed to sell bus tickets were not there, and the list goes on. All irritating but not earth shattering.
• Mutasim (8/5): Easy on the pocket. We slept well. - First of all, you should judge a hostel for what it is - a hostel. You can't rate a hostel in comparison to big hotels with lots of amenities. Siena Hostel is run by the municipality and it's pretty basic. You get a decent room (no attached bathroom/toilet). We stayed as a couple and only used the place for six hours of sleep every night and the breakfast. Our beds were separate (as hostels are) but big/clean/comfortable enough. The room had a wardrobe, a sink-and-mirror, a desk, a waste bin and a window. The breakfast was alright. For a hostel, it serves decent breakfast - several kinds of juices and coffees to choose from, and croissants, donuts, granola etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a 25 minute walk from the Siena Stazione and it a good place to stay if you want to visit San Gimignano, Pisa and Florence (easy bus links). There are several restaurants nearby (both expensive and cheap ones, including a McDonald's two minute walk away). All in all, a decent place if you are a student and/or on a budget and just want a place to crash after a long day of travel, but not fun if you're the kind of person who spends a lot of time chilling in hotel rooms.

• Marcelleno (8/5): Very happy traveller! - Staff made it a pleasure to stay here. Location is a bit away from the centre of town but still enjoyable and basic services are closeby. Would definitely recommend.
• EDawg (8/5): Good hostel - I've stayed in several hostels and this wasn't the best, but far from the worst. The double room that I was in had a sink, which was fantastic. It's not very close to the main area of the historical part of town, but I had a car, so I just drove there and it took about 5 minutes. The breakfast left a bit to be desired, but at least it included breakfast, which many other places I stayed at on this trip didn't.

• Michelle (8/5): Clean and quiet hostel - I stayed 2 nights in the female dorm. The first night I had the place to myself, the second night there were more people staying, but both nights it was very quiet at night and I got a great sleep. Very impressed with the breakfast - quite a lot of food compared to the usual hostel breakfasts. Located a fair way away from the old centre of Siena, but there's a bus stop right out the front so it wasn't a problem for me. My one complaint would be the lack of privacy when it comes to showering - although the shower attached to the dorm is huge, there's nowhere to put clothes or even hang a towel, so you can't cover up before opening the door. All in all I was very happy with my stay at this hostel.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great value - Cheap accomodation just outside Siena. If you don't mind a short ride with the bus (€1,20), it's the perfect budget accomodation. Bikes for hire at €8/day, highly recommended. Beautiful Montereggioni is just a 12 km ride away. Breakfast included in the rate, fresh croissants and a great selection of coffees.
• Mahendar (8/5): Good Stay - Overall very good experience... other than location almost all the requirements for a comfortable hotel stay were fuliflled. Strongly recommended especially if you are on a budget
