- Maureen (10/5): - Amazing family owned hotel I stayed for three nights in September as a woman on her own I found it very safe and comfortable, the gardens were incredible and it was lovely to take a walk after breakfast. The breakfast was included and it was amazing using freshly sourced ingredients from the area. Over all everything was perfect, can’t recommend this Hotel enough.

Gardens are stunning, a lovely place for a wedding I would say. Great staff and lots of them around, especially at dinner time. Quick and efficient. Located just outside the town but on a hill with stunning country views. Some building work happening at present but I can see the need for extra rooms as it is a stunning location for weddings.. It didn't disrupt our stay. We will be back to stay again. Lovely hotel.

Everyone was genuinely pleasant, kind, & courteous. So far, this was our favorite hotel on our trip to Ireland. Thank you!

- Dympna (10/5): Wonderful stay at Fernhill Hotel - My sister and I have just spent 2 most enjoyable 2 nights at the Fernhill Hotel in Clonakilty. Everything was amazing from the warm welcome at Reception, the comfortable bedroom and exceptional food. The breakfast was fabulous and dinner most enjoyable. The hotel is lovely but the staff are fabulous - everyone was so pleasant and helpful and cheerful. Enormous thank you to you all

Beautiful Hotel with the best breakfast ever shame Clonakilty called for the evening as I’m sure the restaurant would have been lovely. Very friendly and helpful staff, will be back

- Bruno (10/5): Our best stay away ever - Our 2 night stay at Fernhill was fabulous. All the staff were super nice and friendly, The room was clean, spacious and we were welcome with a couple of lovely gifts (chocolate and free drink). The garden is well worth a visit, enjoyed seeing the lights, the plants and all the bees. We also had a drink at the bar and ate of an evening, this was very good and so was the breakfast. Probably our nicest stay away ever. Thanks to all who made it happen at Fernhill.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Hotel! - Hotel was beautiful and the staff were incredibly helpful. The first room (104) had a noisy AC unit outside which was active until early in the morning. However, once I mentioned it the staff were extremely apologetic and immediately moved me into a very quiet room upstairs. Food is great, hotel and grounds are spacious, elegant and beautiful. Despite the early hiccup, Fernhill House is still highly recommended!

The staff should get a mention their enthusiasm and happy demeanour meant so much to our stay ,meals were great breakfast white pudding was the best I’ve ever had this is a family owned class hotel where nothing was too much trouble

- Eleanor (10/5): Fernhill lives up to its star rating - Fernhill is like a “Home Away From Home” for us. it is so comfortable staying there with lovely garden & surroundings & quiet. A lovely fire in the entrance makes it so cosy & welcoming. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Food is freshly made & very tasty. The Full Irish is a good start to each day. We will always stay there when on vacation in West Cork.

He came out from behind reception when we were asking for directions x 2 to a certain attraction and he explained what was a better choice. One girl at reception handed us a piece of paper and returned to her duties. Breakfast was delicious & cooked to order. The choice of a mini Irish was perfect Thank you

We particularly liked the home made bread and ate far too much! Clonakilty is a very nice place to visit. Terrific scenery nearby and lots to see and do. Thoroughly recommend the hotel and the area.

Within walking distance to the town of Clonaquilty, so able to visit one of the pubs in evening without having to take car. Breakfasts beautifully served with great service from the server. Lovely menu. Enjoyed evening meal at the bar.
- Melissa (10/5): Best hotel in Ireland! - Hands down this was the best hotel we stayed at while we stayed in Ireland, and we went around the whole island! Not only was the hotel and gardens beautiful, the staff was very friendly! The beds were like heaven to sleep in. And in the morning when we slept in, they stayed late to make us made-to-order breakfast! I wish I could stay there every day!
