Guest Reviews
- Alexander (7/5): -
- Jen (9/5): - The beds are ver comfy. Having landry facilities onsite is very handy and the room was clean and bright No
- marlon (7/5): -
- Yuri (5/5): An "OK" hotel with basic, not-very-modern rooms, priced on the high side due to convenient location. - The location is great, right in the village centre. The room was rather "tired", with a tiny old TV, no kettle, and it was very cold when we got there (10 degrees inside). We turned up the heat, but the only baseboard by the window was insufficient. So, we had to ask for an extra heater and blankets. We did not have breakfast, and I do not think that the cafe was even open.
- Erin (8/5): - Perfect location and great customer service
- Shehan (9/5): -
- john (7/5): -
- Rico (9/5): -
- Raymond (10/5): I would stay here again - The cute room. Nice colors, had everything we needed. The bed was too soft
- Karina (8/5): -
- steve (8/5): Great location affordable -
- Elizabeth (8/5): -
- Jillian (5/5): Fine for the dollar value - Fantastic Location close to the town/village area and lifts. The hotel is very old and very un renovated! I am led to believe that there is a major renovation coming soon! This hotel is in much need of a BIG renovation, both the rooms and the whole complex. Very tired and old.
- Nina (8/5): -
- James (8/5): Incredible location, very central. - Excellent location. Ski in ski out and right in the centre of the village. Very friendly staff. Hot tub was small but delightfully warm. Really appreciated how dog friendly they were. Felt it was unusual to have a hotel of this size without a 24hour front desk. Bathroom didn't drain amazingly and would have liked more pillow options (thinner pillows).
- Eric (10/5): -
- Arden (7/5): Great location in the village for a very reasonable price. - Location, easy parking, friendly staff, large apartment size and very reasonably priced. Limited light as the apartment was located in the lower level
- Denise (9/5): -
- Adina (7/5): -
- Heidi (8/5): -
- Suzete (6/5): - Da localização e hot tub. Barulho vindo de outros quartos e cama que faz barulho. Custo x benefício não condizente com o valor cobrado pela diária.
- L (6/5): The location is excellent, soundproof wasn’t good, room smelled old and dusty - The smell of the room, old and dusty
- tracy (7/5): Very convenient and comfortable, would come back. - Prime location right in the village. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. Well equipped little kitchen. The decor was a bit dated. Could have been cleaner
- Sarah (10/5): So many incredible core memories created for our children (and us) and the Bulldog played a large role in that. - The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, the location was a 10/10, and the hot tub was exactly what we needed after a day on the beautiful mountain. The room was comfy and warm.
- Rachel (8/5): -
- Grant (8/5): - The location is ideal with convenient parking and a good restaurant Sound proofing isn't great
- Marcus (7/5): Little Gem 💎 at Silver Star Resort - Location is superb for the ski hill and the hot tub after a days skiing was a god send.
Rooms are a decent size, with 2 double beds so can sleep up to 4 if you wish. I’d use this hotel again, lad on reception was very friendly. The pillows were dreadful, foam that had been washed so much felt like I was on a bag of golf balls. Only gripe really, so all told it’s good.
- Sara (9/5): Perfect location and great price - Location!
- Pierre (1/5): -
- Shelagh (10/5): -
- Tinker21 (9/5): Great place for a short stay in Silverstar. - The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent - right in the center of the village. It is not a modern, fancy hotel but it works great and is a great price.
- Susan (8/5): -
- ed (8/5): Clean and convenient to activities. Nice staff - Great convenient location with parking. An old building which was well kept and clean. Front Desk was super helpful. Nothing really
- cindy (8/5): It's such a great central location, they only need to replace the mattress. -
- Guest (9/5): Glad we stayed! Very central location and super friendly staff (in the restaurant as well)! - It was close to everything and had everything we needed. The front desk was really good about giving us a few extra tea/sugars. We really enjoyed our stay! I would love some conditioner in the bathroom(not a deal breaker)😊
- Steven (10/5): - They brought out a giant screen on the Sunday night and played a movie on it. Was a great vibe to hangout under the stars with family and watch the movie.
- SHELLEY (10/5): - Great experience! Wil be back!!
- Mariam (8/5): - We had no breakfast included
- Hana (6/5): - location, friendly staff, bikes allowed inside bathroom old and in need of renovating, no fridge in room
- Glen (10/5): - Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Location is just on the edge of the community and 1 minute walk to the ski or biking office. I definitely will be back next year.
- Stephen (8/5): Loved it.will be back - It’s right on the hill. A huge room with a kitchen.
2 bathrooms, spacious enough to store bikes. The kitchen needs more and better kitchen goods such as better frying pans, knives for cutting, medium sized pots and supply a sponge.
- Jacob (7/5): Nice stay in the heart of the resort - Location is excellent and staff were very friendly Some towels just for the hot tub would be a nice touch, but not a big deal. The light on the power outlet by the sink is extremely bright, have to block it to be able to sleep
- Zukewich (7/5): -
- Mike (7/5): Wonderful - Great location No air conditioning
- Raelene (8/5): - Cool vibe, affordable for the location, cool stores in the resort. Only complaint is our rooms constantly running toilet.
- Mingkuan (10/5): Awesome place to stay when drive between Calgary and Vancouver - Location, clean and good value None
- Joel (10/5): - Great place to stay for biking. Friendly staff
- Ralph (10/5): - The staff are the best. Silver Star is an amazing place. The natural splendor and great trails are the best things about it, but the bulldog is a close second. That we only stayed a week.
- Jonathon (8/5): Very good -
- C. (5/5): Passable -
- Andrew (5/5): Passable - Great location! The bed was as old as the hills. Great place for young people to get out and enjoy nature!
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is very unique, with excellent customer service.
Located in the Silver Star resort, it has a wonderful pub on site. Lots of cafes close by for morning coffee.
- Simpson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (8/5): - Unique interesting decor. Room very clean. Lady at reception very friendly and helpful.
- Timothy (6/5): Great location. Cool place but needs some attention. - Location.
Funkiness. Worn out carpet.
Several spiders in the room.
Needs a facelift.
- John (10/5): - Affordable, very friendly and accommodating staff.
- Anthony (10/5): - Very fun property for dog owners! The staff was excellent and our furry friends were welcome everywhere. Great vibe! Room was a bit hot due to lack of air conditioning but overall an enjoyable stay.
- anthony (2/5): - Dog hair everywhere, dirty and stained sheets gross hair in the bath. And on top of it was pretty expensive
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emil (8/5): Very good -
- Matthaeus (8/5): - Great location and friendly staff but rooms are a little dated, missing AC (fans are provided although one wasn’t working) and somewhat weak fridge. Beds were very comfortable
- Scott (8/5): - The room was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is old, still looks like it’s from the 70s.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nigel (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (8/5): Good value for a central location with a friendly staff. - Front line staff extremely helpful and friendly. I did an early check-in and was able to leave my suitcase with the hotel after checkout while I waited for a late departure to the airport. Fabulous central location. The property is a little dated, but the location and staff make this good value for the money.
- Simon (8/5): If your there to ski, not to cook or veg out in your hotel, this is the place for you - Beautiful and super central location,
Great staff,
Great restaurant on site,
Hotel is a bit dated
- John (2/5): - This hotel is like a ghost hotel staff is rarely around. Door handle to the bathroom lock was broken causing a very embarrassing moment during our stay.
- Wallace (1/5): Bad -
- In Young (6/5): - Two days before check in, the staff asked me that arriving time, and they told me room will be ready before I arrived. But room was ready around 3p.m. After check in, I found a someone’s underwear beside chair.
I reported it to staff, and she told “where did you find this?”
Room condition seems pretty old, and room kept smelling dogs. The hallway smelled like vinegar. It’s bit hard to stay the room.
- Thomas (10/5): - Great place to stay! Conveniently located, well priced and staff were great
- Kalev (6/5): - This place is old and run down. Leaking roof and dank, likely moldy air. Great location, but keep your expectations low.
- James (8/5): Fantastic location and good value for money, friendly staff. - Location Shower filling up with water, as it was blocked, bathroom not cleaned very well.
- Jana (8/5): - It worked for us. We wanted to stay on the hill without spending a fortune.
- Brendan Thomas (10/5): - We stayed in an apartment at the Bulldog with a 7 and 10 year old, and were so pleasantly surprised with everything. The room was spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. There weren’t many frills, but everything was clean, comfortable, and cozy. Super easy to walk out the back door and have a short ski to the gondola.
Special mention to the staff - every interaction was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. From dealing with a booking issue that was my fault, to being flexible with a 90 minute later checkout, they were amazing.
- Katie (10/5): Great location - Love the bulldog. We stay here every year and have a great time. Hotel is in a great location and has a fabulous restaurant.
- Jackie (10/5): - If you're looking for a great location and super fun ski holiday, the Bulldog is it! Always a good time!! Thanks again Bulldog!
- Amber (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): - Older hotel, but in a great location. Staff is fantastic!
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Liz (7/5): Good -
- Janette (7/5): Good -
- Janet (9/5): Superb - Location
- Chelsey (10/5): - Great location right on the ski hill and very clean!
- Gerd (9/5): We had a fabulous time and we will be back again next year. - We really like the rooms with kitchen (in the basement), so we can fix a nice breakfast in our room. Would be nice if housekeeping brought us new towels and refilled the soap containers mid-week. No problem asking the front desk for these, but in the past, housekeeping would find the time to refresh our room once a week.
- Paul (6/5): Pleasant -
- Robert (10/5): - Nothng famcy
.but clean, quiet and great location.97
- Sachie (8/5): - Like the funky interior!
- Rowan (9/5): Superb -
- Jackie (10/5): - loved the bulldog
- Angela (8/5): - Great on hill location. Basic amenities, no frills. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds, clean linens. Mini fridge, coffee, cable TV.
- stacey (10/5): - We left the retro feel of our room and the hotel! Very unique and took us back a few years!. Beds were very comfortable. Really great to have the fridge and microwave. Great to be right at the hill and walk to ski.
- Froese (7/5): Great location and space. Could be cleaner! - We stayed in an apartment and it was a great space. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our weekend with our family (and save money on eating out!). Having 2 bathrooms was so lovely for our family. The location is unmatched! It was so amazing to step out and put our skis on and go! The room didn't feel super clean. There was hair in the shower/bathroom, as well as throughout the kitchen. Guests are required to wash their own dishes, so some of the dishes were a bit dirty when we pulled them out to use them.
- Richard (7/5): Great stay again .... - Been here often in several different hotels or chalets, like the ease getting on the resort Not much lol
- Frankland (8/5): Old but Good - The location was good
