- Jacobus Daniel (8/5): - Very comfortable stay in a cozy room Powdered milk
- Dr Lorna (9/5): - Never disappoints! It was so cold. But we got the heater the following day.
- Jax8308 (9/5): - Location is amazing.
Really clean.
Staff helpful and friendly. I like a softer bed, so didn't enjoy the firmness of the bed.
- Michelle Olive (8/5): Notties hotel stopover - Such a cozy hotel lovely food comfortable Rooms. Can't complain about anything
- Wilma (5/5): - Breakfast was very nice. Bathroom, toilet eat was broken and water was not hot enough had to boil kettle for hot water.
- Candice (8/5): -
- Grove (10/5): - The food was really good and the pub atmosphere was amazing. A sherry and a warm fire was a real treat. The loud music till 12h00 midnight but it didn't run the experience.
- clive (8/5): I had brilliant stay - Great breakfast great bar easy to get anywhere
- Tanya (8/5): - Perfect location. Fantastic food.
- Dr DD (7/5): Over rated hotel. - Location Overpriced, doesn’t meet 3 star standards.

- Belinda (8/5): -
- Harold G (8/5): -
- Peter (8/5): It was ok - The area Old and not looked after
- Deon (7/5): Nice hotel with great pub fair. - The hotel is located well, the rooms are comfortable and there are great meal options in the Pub at the hotel. There is no dedicated hotel guest parking, the paddle courts bring in a lot of people making it difficult to find parking as a guest of the hotel. When you go to reception there is nobody to help you as everyone is in the bar, I don't like walking into a bar to find check-in staff with my luggage with me.
- Hargen Hartzenberg (9/5): -
- Selebatsi (5/5): - There is a bar in the building (hotel) and the noise was unbearable. On Friday night the noise went on until 2am (Saturday morning), on Saturday night it was bad but not as bad as the night before.
I even requested to check-out early but due to other issues had to go back on Saturday night.
I requested a double bed room but I was allocated 2 single bed room.
- Harrison (7/5): Nice country getaway spot - The Restaurant staff was fantastic and the food absolutely delicious. Great location close to everything, easy to find. very nice and cozy atmosphere. Nice linen. The Shower's design is problematic, the carpet is wet after every shower. A complimentary bottel of water would be a nice touch. The bed, even though very spacious has a indent on one side, so you keep on rolling into the hole. It was a bit noisy on Friday night with music

- Amanda (8/5): December stay - The general vibe and food where amazing. Friendly service. Sticky wooden floors in room.
- Karl (9/5): Always a fantastic place to stay. - Very clean and extremely comfortable bed. Small maintenance items (loose toilet seat) not seen to.
- Nathalie (8/5): -
- Guy (8/5): -
- Simphiwe (3/5): We didn’t stay, we left to find better accommodation in the area - The location The rooms looked old, and didn’t have a fresh smell
- Marc (7/5): Nice place - would not use booking.com again - I found out that by using Booking.com I paid twice the price that I would have paid if I had booked directly with the hotel. I think this is a flagrant abuse of Booking.com's position and seriously damages my trust in the platform
- Oliver (9/5): -
- Armstrong (10/5): I'm always guaranteed a great experience staying at the Stellenbosch Hotel - central location, comfortable room, delicious food, friendly and helpful staff nothing
- Cheryl (7/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): Great stay for a short visit to the midlands - Location and the padel and restaurant/bar on site The shower had no door so the water went everywhere when showering
- Russell (8/5): -
- Maurice (7/5): -
- Gerald (10/5): Two nights stay. - The proximity to the wedding venue we attended Pizzas were a bit dry.
- Oliver (4/5): Would not recommend - Central in the town The water was lukewarm out the tap (not possible to have a hot bath or shower) and did run out at one stage. Room door was left unlocked after the bed was made up.
- Brandon (8/5): -
- Marianne (10/5): Notties with my boys - Such a welcoming place. Nothing.
- Sharon (8/5): Relaxing spot in the country to get away from the crazy city life. Not too far away from civilization - Staff were really friendly and the hotel in the country but close enough to civilization. The dinner options on the menu are also delicious and you have the option of their restaurant or their pub with the dining areas also being a popular dinner spot for locals. The room also super comfortable with good cupboard space. The one night my neighbour in the adjoining room had the TV on so loud I rather muted mine to trick my brain without betting annoyed. But that was not the properties fault.
- Allan Willmore (9/5): - From the moment I arrived I was welcomed by the friendly reception desk lady who issued me with the remotes and keys and accompanied me to show me my room. The room was practical and comfortable with super-hot pressure shower and a big comfy bed. The dinners and breakfasts are out of this world delicious and Cindy, my waiter, was friendly and made for a great dining experience. I would recommend any traveler to make this your regular Midlands stopover. I know I will. Nothing really
- LEONI (8/5): Recent Stay - Food was really good and staff were extremely helpful and accommodating Parking was a huge problem and food took very long to come with waiters not very attentive
- Coetzee (9/5): loved it, great fun - nice
- Paul (8/5): - Parking is a big issue at the back because of racketball The parking
- Troy (7/5): Good - Friendly efficient staff Leaking toilet, shower head hardly allowing water through, needs to be changed. When flush toilet, it bubbles up in shower
- Justin (10/5): -
- Wiele (8/5): -
- Bradley (8/5): -
- Aviv (4/5): -
- Jackson (8/5): - convenience
- Melanie (9/5): Superb -
- Rehna (8/5): Very good -
- Romashan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bezuidenhout (8/5): Location-local spot - Location-pet friendly
- Du (8/5): Long time patron - Nostalgia. The Food is absolutely top notch especially the beef Guinness pie. Clean linen. I stayed in room 16. The bathroom definitely needs a scrub the walls tiles and ceiling. Had a cockroach in my room. And guys a bottle of water would be great at least for the price I pay for the room. O yes and please I think it is definitely time to replace the towels.
- Denis (7/5): Pleasant enough for one night - Location, fireplace and food Old rooms and a bit noisy
- Shelley (6/5): Pleasant - The food in the restaurant was very good. I requested twin beds, which I didn't get. The bathroom was small and uncomfortable. I had to srep into the shower to open and close the door.
- Janine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Montgomery (7/5): Great staff, great food, fun location. - FOOD WAS EXCELLENT, great Location. People working at this establishment work really hard despite its long opening hours. On some days the pub stays open late, it can be very noisy if you are in the rooms near to it. The cleaning staff are very polite, but need more training, and it would be better if they had a vacuum to work with. Throw blankets that stay on the end of the bed, need to be washed when there is a visitor change. Ours was dirty. The shower drain is joined to the same outlet as the toilet, so when anyone flushes the toilet, the shower gurgles and makes noises during the night which wakes you up.
Some staff arrived late for work, so the dining room tables and floors were still dirty from the busy night before. However if I was the manager, and I had arrived at work on time, I would have gotten out my vacuum, bucket and cloth and cleaned the room myself, despite the issue. Its better that none of us see the issue, and it get sorted out behind closed doors, and not infront of the guests. We all had a very uncomfortable breakfast.
- Jade (6/5): It’s okay - The original part of the hotel and the bar has a lot of character and the location is very good to explore the Midlands Meander. The property is looking tired. All the walls and doors are chipped on the corners and is need of repainting. There is a paddle tennis court in a monstrous canvas tent on the property, which detracts from the historic feel and makes it a very busy venue. The breakfast wasn’t good.
- Carlos (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anisha (8/5): Very good - Location was perfect...
Very Vibey Bar
- Lodewikus (8/5): Very good -
- Bradley (5/5): It was a good stay but the shower facilities made it very difficult and uncomfortable to get ready - The breakfast was great, the location is very convenient, and the staff are very friendly The shower hot water pressure was not great, it barely worked.
- Welma (6/5): Pleasant - Food Staff not very friendly
- Heather (7/5): Good - Breakfast was good and the staff are very friendly the whole team make you feel at home The shower in room 14 needs to be changed water doesn’t come out nicely
- Mikayla (4/5): Ideal because of the location but not my taste regarding the outdated and poorly maintained rooms and bathrooms. - Classic, vintage look. Nail clippings in the bed. Small bathroom. Water on the floor because the shower does not have a door. The floor was dirty. Bathroom needs a paint job. Mosquitoes in the room. Dust mites on the couches.
- Pieter (8/5): our favourite stop if we want to sleep over in midlands! - location location location... and the pub! our bathroom was very small, but when we asked for a different room, we were well accommodated, no hassles !
- Zulu (1/5): Bad - Food I had to bath with dirty water, the room was not what I paid for and the rooms are very old.
- Najat (8/5): Very good - It was okay for the purpose, a bit old but no complaints.
- George (6/5): Not quite what I had expected - Our bed was lovely & comfortable.
The food in the pub was rather good.
The bathroom was small and impractical.
There was no fridge or milk in the room.
- Karina (10/5): Great food and perfect stay! - We had a garden view unit which is great for smokers as you can pop outside. The food was amazing husband had the lamb shank which was very tasty with yummy crisp veggies. I had the lamb curry which was just perfect with pompodums rice, banana and coconut just perfect. That we didn't get to stay longer.
- Shuttleworth (7/5): Good -
- Melanie (8/5): Very good -
- Rulof (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (9/5): Great Authentic stay in the midlands - The tranquility of this pub keeps me coming back year after year. The pub itself is full of history withits creaking wood floors, and awesome fire place to keep you warm most of the year. the staff are well mannered, and helpful, and it seems every patron comes in with the expectation of joyfullness making it a great place to stay nothing
- Nick (8/5): Great place for an overnight stopover or base to explore local areas ( eg midlands meander) - Location was good. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bar and food were great and breakfast was lovely! Bathroom was really small. Had to step into the shower to open/close the door and get to the toilet
- Robyn (5/5): Ok, stayed in way nicer spots for same pricing - The property has loads of character due to the age and history, the pub is charming and the food is not bad but that is where it stops for price u are paying. It is need of some upgrades and attention to detail is definitely missing , some staff are not the most pleasant, others were very nice. Stayed in Room 5, not even a vanity or small table to put your toiletries on, in the bathroom.
Not sure I would stay there again in a hurry.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Marietjie (7/5): Good -
- Jegenthiren (7/5): We enjoyed our stay except for the discomfort of the musty carpets in the room. - Meals were value for money. Glad it was included in the price. The new year's eve dinner was exceptional. The music provided added to the a fun factor to the night (I am a retiree). Definitely a destination venue for special days. Refreshing to walk in the mornings and afternoons. The room has carpets. The carpets need refreshing as the room felt dusty. Whilst the fans serve a purpose they are noisy at night - aircons would have been welcomed.
- Lodewikus (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne_wilson (7/5): Practical stay, - Paddle court on the premises was a bonus and we enjoyed it. Dining option for dinner was good and breakfast was okay We were unable to have a hot bath in the evening as the water was cold.
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Dion (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Revi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Margaret (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shepherd (1/5): We had the worst stay ever at this hotel. The experience was subpar, and request a full refund. - I was thoroughly disappointed with my experience at this hotel. Unfortunately, there were no redeeming qualities or positive aspects to share.
Extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. Nothing positive to report. I was thoroughly disappointed with my experience at this hotel. The hotel was dirty to the point that we could not eat in the rooms. Unfortunately, the service was subpar and fell far below the standards I've encountered at other hotels. In my opinion, the three-star rating is inflated and should be downgraded to a one-star rating.
- Monica (5/5): I’ve stayed I better - Not too much The ugly noisy paddle courts . No soap in bathrooms . The hotel was noisy
- Peter (7/5): Awesome for one or 2 nights, however rooms require attention, there is no airconditioning - Location and proximity of restaurant
Food was awesome and well done
