Guest Reviews
- gina (10/5): - Everything was perfect lots of parking space
- Jaime-Leigh (10/5): Beautiful Space for a Quiet, Comfortable Stay - Lovely little stop in a beautiful surrounding area. We checked in late carrying sleeping kids, but we had no issues with checkin as we had been contacted the day before and provided all the information we needed to get in safely and quietly. The room is spacious and comfortable and has a beautiful little deck to enjoy a coffee in the morning. The room has lots of windows for natural light plus great window coverings to block out the light at night. Great spot!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very convenient, clean and friendly.
Nice location and site.
Excellent free breakfast.
- DAVID (10/5): Great stay. - Great place to stay in a small quaint town by the river!
- John (8/5): - Their breakfast was very delicious and abondant. The location is beautiful and quiet. Unfortunately the AC was so noisy, we could not have it on and the temperature was very very hot so it was uncomfortable during the night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Petite auberge bucolique.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The drive from the highway down to the motel was incredible! Almost 5 kilometres downhill !!!!
Make sure your brakes are working good beforehand
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Did not like the roomThree storey up the stairs for us was hard and dark,
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to ski hill le Massif
A nice view of the St Lawrence river.
The hot tub facilities are good
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Small town with the typical atmosphere.
Very nice to get a way from it all
Nice view over the river 6 min drive near the ski area Le Massif.
Breakfast perfect
Service courtois
Très bien situé, près du fleuve
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent breakfast. Clean room. Very comfortable bed
- David (10/5): - Very quaint, clean, charming hotel in an unbelievably beautiful location by the water, with a lovely French/Quebecois breakfast. Well recommended.
- Jennifer (10/5): Great little Auberge for skiing Le Massif - This place is great! My husband and I stayed here to ski Le Massif and were impressed with the comfortable beds, size of rooms, cleanliness, quiet rooms, view of river, and breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, despite our limited to non-existent French. “Le spa” (outdoor hot tub with a view of the river) was a bonus I didn’t even know about. Great proximity to the lower resort entrance for skiing!
- David (10/5): Super place to stay. - Very nice with a super view of the Dt-Lawrence river. The food is also very good. An overall super experience.
- Chris (8/5): As cosy as it looks - A nice alternative to staying in Baie Saint-Paul & close to nature. Our first experience in an "auberge" (rather than hotel/motel) was a delight!
- David (8/5): A charming place - Hidden jam close to Bae St. Paul. wonderful staff and atmosphere. Breakfast is the level of excellent B & B with a gorgeous view of the Lawrence Strait. Small bathroom with minimal amenities in the room but this is not meant to be four star hotel.
- P (10/5): Fantastic location. 5 minutes from skiing - Beautiful scenery in and around the village. Good breakfast daily. Lots of food options. Excellent dinner the onenight we reserved at Courtepointe ... best scallops I've ever eaten!
- chad (10/5): Wintertales - Terrific for winter entusiests and for those who seek a fine culinary experience ...
- Suzanne (10/5): - Very nice people working there. Very clean place. I appreciated it very much.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice place near the mountain - Very good dining. Hard mattresses. Poor heating system.
- David (10/5): Charming place - we are a 30s couple. we stayed here for a romantic ski trip to Le Massif. it was a good location. it is 17 minutes from the main entrance but there is a back entrance that is 5 minutes away. there is no TV in the room and no nightlife, you can take that as a positive or negative. there are 2 microbreweries and the best resturant (Mouton Noir) are within 20 minutes. this place sits right on the lake.
- Yen (10/5): Nice inn in great little village. Great view. - Cute little inn in the middle of nowhere! Wonderful view of St Lawrence river. Had dinner in one night which gave us a nice quiet evening. Next time we would stay longer!
Of note, top floor has sloping ceilings which would be a problem for tall people.
- Carmin (8/5): Great place to get lost in - Perfect getaway for those seeking tranquility among rustic nature. Staff is great. No TV but they have good WiFi, so bring a laptop or tablet. Dinners are pricey for my budget but breakfasts are worth it. The drive to the town is spectacular as is the scenery around it.
- Ravi (10/5): St. Lawrence River Charm - Don't Ever Miss It! - Fantastic views, food in restaurant and speed of service. One of the best ever stays. Chef for dinner deserves every commendation. Though the hotel is in a little village about 11 km off Rte. 138, the detour is well worth it. Great walks and views. So quiet and full of charm.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent room, fine meals, great location and friendly staff. Need to add a safety bar in the bath tub.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing dinner, lovely stay - Convenient distance from Le Massif (less than 10 minutes to the south) and Mont-Sainte-Anne (less than 20 minutes) for great skiing and snowboarding. Nice view of the river from the dining room, and hosts and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are a bit dated, but very comfortable and charming with the homemade quilts that give the Courtepointe its name.
Breakfast dining at the hotel was delicious, but dinner was really remarkable. Truly, some of the best dining in Quebec. Menu would be very limited for vegans, and might be difficult for gluten-free diets, but for everyone else-- highly, highly recommended. Including information about the dinner because the nearby options are very limited, and the meal really added a lot to our hotel experience. There are a wide array of fishes and shellfish, in a variety of classic French sauces with a twist (saffron cream; pink peppercorn bechamel), delicate soups, fresh baguette, seasonal vegetables cooked to perfection, fantastic desserts (creme brulee, some sort of magical maple sugar dessert), and a nice array of local and international wines to choose from. Get a reservation, however, after booking your room-- availability is somewhat limited and it's got limited hours as well.
Hotel would not be easy to get to without a rental car, but the price of a rental car PLUS the two night stay at the Courtepointe would still run about $100 CAD less than staying at Resort hotels.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice hotel close to the base of Le Massif. - Nice four day stay with our young son to ski at Le Massif. Enjoyed a few nights out in Baie St Paul which is about 20 minutes away.
- Fahimeh (10/5): accommodation in heaven - My boyfriend and I spent one night at the Auberge on the way back from Tadoussac to Montreal. But, I wish we had more time to stay there and enjoy its very good services, beautiful view, and clean room. It is just around 4 hours driving from Montreal and I am sure that we will go back to the Auberge La Courtepointe.
- jackie (8/5): Tranquility - My husband and I spent two nights here. Its a lovely little place. The rooms are large and comfortable, not to mention nice and clean. The gardens are beautiful. The food and staff were great in the quaint little restaurant.
- Tom (10/5): the quintessential of quaintness! - Nicely tucked away from the world, quiet solitude with a very exquisite dining experience to top it off.
- Charles (8/5): Wonderful spot with a great view - Beautiful, charming spot in the breathtaking Charlevoix region. The hotel staff is courteous and kind. The breakfast is delicious, and we even had the dinner which was also excellent. It is a quiet area with lots of outdoor activities nearby. The only slight drawback was that the sound travels quite a bit within the Inn, however this didn't bother us, even with a few families and children staying there.
