Guest Reviews
- Paula (6/5): - Left early so didn't have breakfast. Good price. Good location. Not the Ritz, but great value for the price and much better than I expected for price.
- Carter (1/5): Awful!!!!!! - There was none It smelled like straight sewer in the room and the attendant tried to hand me a can of air freshener. I was not happy about that . He would not give me another room said the manager wasn’t there.
We did not stay . We went somewhere else .
It was a terrible experience, do not stay there !!!
Staying in your car would be more clean and comfortable.
- Shawnee J. (10/5): - Great staff.. all of them.. No complaints
- Salman (1/5): Unsanitary room conditions and unprofessional management — not a safe or acceptable stay - Nothing to be honest. The room was in extremely poor and unacceptable condition. There was a strong unpleasant odor, and the bed sheets, duvet, and towels appeared dirty and stained. The overall cleanliness was far below basic standards, and even the furniture was damaged (torn chair).
Due to these conditions, we felt uncomfortable and unsafe staying in the room and checked out within 1–2 hours without using the facilities. We had to book another hotel at our own expense.
After leaving, I experienced skin irritation and rashes, which raises serious concerns about the hygiene of the bedding.
When I contacted the property, the person identifying himself as the manager was dismissive, unhelpful, and did not take responsibility.
- Jeffrey (9/5): - A clean room at a well-maintained and convenient location. I was attending a meeting at the Hilton, but didn’t want to pay Hilton prices.
- James (5/5): It was just okay. - No breakfast was served at all. and location was okay Not near anything, no store or anything of that nature.
- bessie (2/5): Nasty none well kept place - Nothing the bathroom was nasty and dirt tub was dirty and peeling paint Very nasty toilet has pee running down the front very dirty
- Ashley (10/5): Wonderful clean and friendly - Close to everything No comments
- Jaylon (10/5): -
- London (10/5): Fine for what we needed - Good value easy to park a big truck in the parking lot They didn’t specify a 1 pet policy. It says pet friendly but nothing else.
- Twylah (6/5): Staff if pleasant, bedroom areas are clean, beds are comfortable and it’s in walking distance ofMcLane Stadium. - It’s close to McLane Stadium. There are some cosmetic updates that are in desperate need. We’ve stayed here several times. In each room all of the tubs and bathroom floor tiles need to be replaced. They are old and look dirty even though I’m sure they are cleaned as well as they can be. Some of the sinks and vanities need replacing.

- keith (1/5): Did not spend the night there - Nil Old and smell
- Moreno (9/5): - Tv remote did not work
- Robin (3/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): Excellent service will be back -
- Mike (2/5): Nightmare! - Arrived directly from the airport to check in and was told my reservation was canceled without notice. The front desk clerk was quite rude and not at all helpful in any way shape or form. Horrific experience! Would never recommend or stay there.
- Brianna (7/5): Good price for location. - Close to everything we had planned for the weekend.
Safe and cozy Not something the hotel can control, but sirens get super loud at night.
- James (2/5): - Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a motel. The entire place was completely unsanitary. An overpowering smell of sewage made it impossible to stay in the room.
- Elizabeth (4/5): I was willing to give it a chance. - I was willing to give it a chance, but the toilet hadn’t been cleaned, hair on the floor, and the stench was so bad we left at 4:45 am.
Location was great and workers were friendly but overall it mad me sad
- Cooper (2/5): - Smelled like raw sewage
- Selim (5/5): -
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Treatable smell
Worst hotel room I’ve ever been in
- Ann (1/5): Very disappointing - Location to Baylor stadium Very old and rundown- the room was not ready when we got there and there was a sewer smell that was in the lobby and room- the furniture was in poor shape also, old & torn- there was dust/dirt on the bathroom floor, in the tub & wooden hangers- remote was missing (they brought another) and fire alarm detector was missing too- just not a good experience for the price ($230)
- milissa (2/5): - Property and room stunk like sewer so bad, we couldn’t stay in the room, slept in the truck. The most disgusting property I’ve ever stayed at. Smelled so bad it made us physically sick.
- Adriana (1/5): I will never stay here again. - They had our room ready early. Everything else was horrible. Smelled like sewage, rips in comforter, stains on sheets, overall uncomfortable and dirty.
- Zhiyuan (8/5): - The way to open the door
The hair dryer is broken.
- Victoria (2/5): - Had bedbugs and A/C wasn’t working
- Royce (6/5): - Check in was quick, the staff was friendly. The room was okay, but mainly because the bad was comfortable and I was exhausted. Otherwise, regular maintenance is clearly not done. The toilet paper holder wouldn’t hold a roll. Towel rack was barely attached and the place hasn’t been painted in decades. It was moderately clean. You get what you pay for and $35 was about the right price.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kimberly (4/5): - It was an older establishment so you pay for what you get. The bathtub did not drain and the room was not properly stalked with toiletries.
- Peter (3/5): Not to be repeated - Roach in bedroom, curtains dirty and the linings were full of holes, long trains broke sleep regularly with sounding horns passing close and owner was in no way friendly.
- Kymberley (8/5): Basic but clean. - Room was clean. Easy and fast check in. Great location and close to food and shopping. Refrigerator was nice and cold. Will stay again.
Only 2 pillows for each bed. We did not ask if more were available.
- Chris (5/5): Passable - They had a room and it was reasonably clean and secure. Smell of stale smoke, dirty mirrors, uncomfortable bed, lights were bright white. Property is in need of some TLC.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- DeMarcus (10/5): - Great place
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- ANN (2/5): - Room was dirty t.v. did not work, bathtub was messed up as was the bathroom sink. My wufe got bite by something during the night.
- Christy (2/5): - Lots of people loitering around the parking lot late at night. A lady actually warned me not to leave my nice car there overnight. Thought it would be nicer than most motels since it’s in a private college town and right by the Baylor football stadium. It’s not.
- Kathy (6/5): Cheap, you get what you pay for. - Cigarette burns all over bathroom, shower was falling apart walls were dirty... the outside door had a huge gap in it,
- Patricia (1/5): Not friendly or accommodating. - N/A Booking was supposed to be for Oct 5, 2024. Somehow becoming changed to Jan 5, 2025. When talking to the manager in Oct of 2024 he did not show any concern or care if there had been a mix up. No rooms available and was not allowed a refund. Was kind of glad we did not stay.
- Kent (8/5): - Clean room, good parking, bed was made, refrigerator was loose and rocking, coffee was poor quality, price was fair
- DeMarcus (10/5): - Great people
- Twylah (8/5): Very good -
- Twylah (8/5): Very good -
- DeMarcus (10/5): - I come here often and it’s always clean and the managers are always nice
- Taylor (10/5): - It's very clean and nice and everyone was quiet and respectful. Staying here is buch better then other places
- Oleg (8/5): - Good hotel overall
- Twylah (7/5): Overall we were satisfied. It was clean, close to the stadium and price was right. - Close to Mclane Stadium. Room wasn’t ready when we arrived. Checking is at 3:00 PM. We arrived at 3:30. I felt the room should have been ready by then. We had a short wait.
- Glenda (8/5): - The air conditioning did not work had to get fan from the store office was closed already
- Concepcion (5/5): regular - Location and hat water Customer service and safety
- Deborah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rodney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mette (7/5): Good - The room small, but was clean. The staff helped us find a place to go out to eat. Breakfast consisted of either prepackage honey bun or muffin. Drinks were a choice of coffee or hot water (no tea).
- Nemons (5/5): Passable -
- Preach (10/5): Adequate. It served its purpose. - The room was clean and across the highway from Baylor. I was there for a workshop at Baylor & I only needed a place to sleep. It my my needs. When it said "Breakfast Included" I expected something like Choice Hotels offers, not Little Debbie's and Otis Spunkmeyer.
- Jean (2/5): Nasty place - I didn't stay , there was an issue with the pet policy I had an 8lb. & 10lb. Dog they would not ok a second . The pictures posted on the internet are very deceiving this place is an old dump , I was ok not staying there and loosing $94 . I didn't want my dogs to staying in a place like that either
- Jakob (2/5): Horrible place to stay - There was pee all over the bathroom floor
- Kourtny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katherine (8/5): Worked for me for one night. - Well lit parking lot Apparent history of CPS "called and showing up" at hotel from a CPS worker. Keep doing what you can to protect kids.
- Jacek (3/5): Poor -
- Ashlee (8/5): Very good -
- Jess (4/5): Good location. Ok for the money. Do not expect too much. - Breakfast is coffee and honeybuns. Coffee was good but no other beverages. Very good location. Close to bridge, silos, and restaurants. More varity for breakfast. Maybe spruce up the property a little.
- Amy (10/5): - Very clean
- Fred (3/5): It was a conveniently located dive, falsely advertising that they serve breakfast - It was conveniently located near one of the major freeways. "Breakfast included in the price"?? No!! The check-in area, much too small to be called the lobby, had little packages of mini muffins and something called honey buns, also prepackaged, along with coffee and hot water. THAT'S NOT BREAKFAST!! The key card worked about every fourth time I tried it, and I had to get the desk attendant to let me in. The lighting above the bed on the right side was inoperative; I tried changing the light bulb out, and that made no difference. I made sure it was plugged in, it was. And the USB outlet and standard two pronged outlet were not functioning either. The freeway noise was awful, but it was masked by the tremendous racket the air conditioner made.
- Keith (6/5): - Management wanted to charge $20 for “early” check-in @ 1:15
Continental breakfast as advertised consisted of basket with honey buns and a few muffins
- Martin (2/5): Won’t stay there again - The bathroom handle was upside down. The bathroom leaked bathroom had rust any customers or smoking dope in the hallways.
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa-maree (3/5): Wouldn't recommend. It's ok to be budget, but cleanliness is important. - Quick easy booking and location, free parking, free wifi. On arrival in reception i noticed the coffee station had spillages left here from earlier in the day, i assume. Cigarette holes in bed covers, room smelled like smoke (despite being non smoking). Stained towels, dusty surfaces. Breakfast was "grab and go", it consisted of a choice between the following packets - blueberry muffins, choc chip muffin or sweet scroll, coffee. No fruit, cereal, juice or toast like I expected.
- Christie (6/5): A place to sleep - Average room. Nothing special. Beds so-so. Checkin easy but customer service definitely not over the top.
Easy walk to football field
- Jorge (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dena (6/5): Red Rood Inn Waco Review - The walls of our room were painted in nice colors. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave which made it convenient to store and reheat leftovers. There was no additional charge for our dog, which was a definite plus! The king size bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows..They had grab and go items, including fruit and coffee for breakfast. Coffee and breakfast items weren't available until 7am. The coffee cups didn't have lids so we couldn't take coffee with us on road. The comforter on our bed had a small blood stain on it. We requested another one that had a large stain on it. The bathroom mat was also stained. The stains on our linens are what really marred our experience as cleanliness is our biggest concern when staying at hotels.
- Jodi (9/5): Superb -
- Gennise (8/5): Very good -
- Vaughn (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean and comfortable Everything was nice.
- Laura (8/5): - Bathroom was not real clean dirt and dust in the corner ..,
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Maxey (8/5): - Easy to check in / easy on & off I35.
- Raushana (8/5): Overall the room was descent and convenient to book online. - The area was in a easy and convenient place.
The room was clean. The check in took a little longer, because they were switching shifts.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean Nothing
- Haitao (8/5): Very good -
- Burch (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ascencion (6/5): Smoking is. Non smoking - Room appeared clean. Was very concerned about traffic noise since it is located beside the highway. However, noise wasn't an issue. This non-smoking room smelled like a smoking room.
- Dixon (1/5): The worst - Nothing Everything
- Abraham (7/5): Good - Rooms are clean and price is ok Front desk personnel was never there. Qould not attend when called for check out
- Vickie (6/5): Pleasant - Room was in need of some repair, bed though was comfortable. The room was very quiet, even though located next to a freeway
- Charles (4/5): Disappointing - It was close to the convention center Very run down. The room was too small. Water was leaking behind the wall behind the toilet. The bed was not comfortable. If I had paid half what I paid, it still would have been too much.
- Geo (4/5): - Didnt like the owner's Indian food smell and toilet odors filling the entry hall. Didnt like dead bugs in room.
Didnt like sheets that look like theyd been slept on. Didnt like mold in corners of bathroom. A LITTLE effort could make this a nice hotel.
- Brian (6/5): - Staff was nice and pleasant. Breakfast very very basic. Coffee good. Cleanliness of stairwells was poor. Facility in great need of maintenance and upkeep as well as renovation.
- Brenda (9/5): Superb -
- James (6/5): Booking.com doesn't have the best rate, call where you are wanting to stay first. - Location was good for where I needed to go.
Grab & good breakfast was ok. Needs updating.
Booking.com charged way to much for room.
When I asked about nightly rate at motel, was told 25%+ less than Booking.com charged.
WON'T USE BOOKING.COM AGAIN
- bob (2/5): Gross room. - I had to change dates, i believe they put us in a smoking room when i changed dates. The room smelled horrible. They sprayed, helped a little. We bought a bottle of fabreeze, sprayed almost the entire bottle in the 3 nughts we were there. We took a wash cloth and cleaned the mirror which was disgusting, wiped the headboard and tge floor. Neither had been actually cleaned in a long time. White wash cloth was black.
- James (6/5): - Bathroom cleanliness was subpar - looked like permanent stains on the toilet and tub along with a significant amount of black mold on the tub caulking.
- Robin (2/5): - I arrived at 4am from an 8 hour drive. The gentleman at the hotel desk was very nice and accommodating when I asked for second and a third different room due to the smell, stained towels with holes in them and stained bedding. At 4am I didn’t have a choice and had to stay the night. I checked thoroughly for bed bugs and found none, so that was a plus. The third room was still smelly, but the least of the three rooms I tried. All rooms have an outside entrance only and the hotel is right off the highway, so there was good amount of noise from traffic. The pictures advertising the place make it look way better than it did. The tv looked like it might fall off the wall if I dared to adjust the angle. The ironing board was so cheap and leaned crazily to one side. The worst part was the mold in the tub area. The next morning I informed the desk attendant my plans had changed and wanted a refund for the remaining 3 days which they kindly provided even though I booked through Expedia. In my area, Redd Roof Inns are a mid level hotels that are clean and well maintained. This was some old run down motel where someone slapped on the name Red Roof Inn hoping to attract guests. I think Red Roof Inn corporate would be horrified to know their brand was associated with this type of place. At the very least the place needs new towels and sheets that are bleached after every guest, shampoo/replace carpets, new bed spreads and a better cleaning crew to clean the mold/rooms.
- Phillip (8/5): A roof over my head - Room was clean and comfortable, Motel is conveniently located next to the highway
- Jon (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - bedding had what looked like cigarette burns in them. Shower was dirty and moldy.
- Francisco (7/5): Overall it was a good place to spend the night Quiet - Walking distance to Mclane stadium Outside needs upgrading. New paint
- Lydia (10/5): - This is a quiet place to stay. I’m sure it’s not always that way, but we have stayed there twice this far and it’s been a pleasant stay.
