- Moser (7/5): Gutes Hotel für einen Kurzaufenthalt - Das Zimmer war schön gross. Gut gelegen, ca. 20min. mit dem Auto vom Zentrum entfernt. Das Frühstück war ok und durchschaubar. Das Personal freundlich, es dauerte nur etwas länger zum ein und auschecken als erwartet bzw. als wir es bisher kannten. Langer Check-Out.
- Gerald (5/5): Personal property removed from room by housekeeping - Location. Close to rejkjavik centre, lovely views The staff mistakenly took some of my property from our room. I don't think this was a deliberate act. I only realized when I got home and the hotel acknowledged they had it when I reached out and said they would mail it to me but never followed through despite saying they would send it and have not offered any compensation.

- Petra (7/5): Abgeschiedenes Hotel in toller Lage. - Der Ausblick auf den See und das sehr geräumige Zimmer, viel Platz für Kleidung, Koffer und trotzdem noch Sitzgelegenheiten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel lief gefühlt im Notbetrieb“, die Karte war auf 4 Gerichte beschränkt, von dem eines nicht zur Verfügung stand. Die Restaurantpreise sind im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels zu hoch. An einem Tag wurde unser Zimmer nicht gereinigt und der Eingangsbereich entspricht nicht einem „4 Sterne“ Hotel. Bei Ankunft dachten wir zuerst wir sind im falschen Hotel.

- Fareena (10/5): - This was a hotel I took a chance on and booked after I landed in Iceland. We lucked out. It’s such a peaceful, relaxing place, by a beautiful lake, and one would never know you were 20 mins outside Reykjavik. The staff are a credit to the management. Super friendly, helpful and accommodating and the young chef also catered to my dietary requirements without fuss. This really was a great family run place to finish off our road trip before we flew back home. If I were to return to Iceland, I would definitely stay here again! Nothing!

- Mervyn (10/5): Highly recommended comfy resort - We booked the family or triple room last minute as we had to cancel the trip to Husavik. This location is just at the perimeters of Reykjavik which means less hordes of tourists. You get a nice resort vibes and splendid views and they even throw in a nice hot tub for use. Our guests were truly impressed by the immaculate hotel designs and furnishings. Room is spacious, bath room is superb. Breakfast spread was good and comes with another stunning view. Fast WIFI. Staff were friendly. Free parking on site None

Localização do hotel próximo da cidade contudo tranquilo e em zona sossegada. Leva sensivelmente 15 a 29 min a chegar do Hotel até ao estacionamento na Catedral. Pequeno almoço muito razoável Camas, colchão nas nas percebi que em Hotéis do Norte da Europa esta situação é de recorrente, apenas em hotéis de alto valor (mesmo assim nem sempre) se consegue camas confortáveis

We could actually see the Northern Lights from our room, but the weather that day was snowy, so we missed them. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Iceland. We couldn’t enjoy the breakfast because it started at 8:00am We had to catch our flight. We would have loved it if the breakfast had started earlier.

La taille des chambres, le lieu etra, l'environnement calme , le paysage Le personnel vraiment extrêmement agreable, , hyper serviable, souriant, aux petits soins et humains ! On s'y est sentis tellement bien qu'on est revenus passer une seconde nuit lorsque notre avion a été annulé 🙂 Au petit dej de la 2eme nuit, plus de jus d'orange , plus deau chaude, plus de pains au chocolat

- Stephen (10/5): - A very interesting and unique location for a very unique and interesting island. The beds were very comfortable, the showers were hot, and the heated floors were delightful. We ate at the restaurant which I highly recommend as well. The sauna was nice and there are plenty of places to socialize without having to leave the property.

Breakfast is really good too. The hotel is very clean and has a lovely hot jacuzzi. It’s a quiet and beautiful spot. There’s a lake right nearby — perfect for nice walks. Super convenient location: close enough to the city, yet you can still watch the Northern Lights. I will definitely return. Thank you so much for such a fantastic stay! ❤️ N/a

- Amanda (10/5): Fabulous hotel, location, vibe, food and were treated like royalty... - Room exceptional and hotel vibe was like being a member of the family! Had a lake and mountain view from our room and with the snow it was beautiful. The bed was very comfy and I don't usually sleep first night away, but we relaxed straight away. Bathrooms modern and non existent sulphur smell from hot water. Staff were amazing, so warm and friendly and couldn't do enough - although not on your tail, just around and there when needed. Breakfast was lovely - looked compact at first but you had everything you needed and all fresh and hot. Lots of areas to chill and after a full day out, we enjoyed drinks at the bar then moved to a lovely lounge area with a beautiful view and within seconds, all candles were lit to make us cosy. Highly recommend this hotel. We had a meal one night and the food was exceptional and we have travelled far and wide. We had a car and was aware that Reykjavik centre was around 20 minutes drive - perfect for us. We've been to Reykjavik a few times. Sky lagoon is 20 minute drive and the golden circle - Thingivellir Park is around 40 mins.. although took us closer to an hour due to scary but exciting snow storms!! We will definitely be back to this hotel at some point and think it could be equally as beautiful in the summer. We looked at reviews on booking and there were some comments about the decor... there was even a 1/5 which is a shocker... we all have different opinions but for the location, price and our experience - you just go with the quirky decor - it fits and was endearing. 10/10 for us and the couple we travelled with. Loved everything! 12pm check out if I'm being picky rather than 11!

- Katja (10/5): First choice in Reykjavík! - Es war wie jedes Mal ein rundum angenehmer Aufenthalt. Die Betten sind komfortabel, die Zimmer sind toll eingerichtet haben eine wundervolle Atmosphäre und sind sehr geräumig. Es ist insgesamt sehr sauber. Das Hotel hat eine sehr gemütliche und ausgesprochen angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Essen im Restaurant war bisher immer ausserordentlich fein. Die Lage am See ist wunderschön und sehr ruhig, der Blick aus dem Terrassenfenster auf den See ist einfach toll. Frühstück hat alles was man braucht. Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich. Es war ein bisschen wie nach Hause kommen :)

- Dalakollur (9/5): - Hótelið er á afviknum stað við Elliðavatn og við vorum með útsýni yfir vatnið úr herberginu okkar. Hægt var að ganga beint út á stétt fyrir framan herbergið. Staðurinn er mjög rólegur og maður verður ekki mikið var við umgang og gesti hvorki á herbergjum né í borðsal. Við vorum í mjög stóru herbergi og þar var allt til fyrirmyndar. Stór skjár og frábær sturta. Morgunverðurinn var góður en ekki meira en það. Hinsvegar var útsýnið úr borðsalnum frábært bæði að morgni og kveldi. Þjónusta var afar liðleg og maturinn á veitingastaðnum mjög góður. Utan dyra er hægt að ganga í fallegan hring meðfram vatninu og kringum hótelið. Konan mín notar hjólastól og svo skrítið sem það nú er þá sáum við ekkert bílastæði merkt fyrir hreyfihamlað fólk. Svæði til að leggja bílnum eru tvö og ef efra bílastæðið fyrir utan móttökuna fyllist yrði vesen að vera háður hjólastól þarna. Annað atriði er að allar útskýringar t.d. handbók á herbergi um hótelið, spjöld og merkingar á réttum í morgunverði eru á ensku. Íslensku var hvergi að sjá eiginlega á þessu ágæta hóteli nema í nafni þess.

- Htoo (10/5): - Everything. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Best in all of Iceland. The staff is so kind and attentive and informed us about northern light watching and what times were best for viewing. They have a hot tub and sauna. Beautiful videos the lake which we could walk on since it was frozen. Not a single bad thing.

- Rebecca (10/5): A piece of paradise to enjoy the northern lights and relax - The location was ideal for capturing the northern lights over the lake. The property is located far enough out of town to give you a sense of peace and the views were stunning in all directions. On the same hand, you also have supermarkets, restaurants and other amenities not far. The bed was extremely comfortable and the separate lounge area was perfect to unwind in at the end of each day. There is a hot tub and cold plunge pool available for use and ample free parking. The breakfast was great with stunning views from the restaurant area. The staff are friendly and everything was clean. We are already telling friends to stay at this amazing place and will stay here again on our next trip to Iceland. Nothing.
