Guest Reviews
- Kenneth (1/5): -
- Michael (3/5): Better then sleeping in the street - Location and price Would not stay there again. Light switch did not work, air conditioner did not work, no stopper in the sink. I guess I got what I paid for
- Thomas (1/5): -
- brett (1/5): - The employees was friendly. The room had bed bug and smelled like mold. I have photos of the bed bugs
- Mcculley (1/5): - None Super dirty and gross and staff was horrible
- McGill (1/5): -
- James (1/5): The crazy stay at a hotel that robbed me! - I liked the price, until I got charged twice and after I arrived they sprung a $50 deposit on me out of the blue after paying, twice! After leaving they wouldn't give me my deposit back, I payed the deposit in cash but was told my fee deposit will go on to my credit card. I never received my deposit. The window screen was pulled out of the windows and stored behind the table in my room, there was a 2" gap between the ac unit and the wall forcing me to shove a rolled up towel in the crease giving it a chance to cool down in my room. I rented a non smoking room but when I turned my bathroom sink on, cigarette butts and loose tobacco came floating to the top as it was clogging the drain. It was ridiculous and I would have preferred saving all that money and staying the night in my vehicle. I liked the fact that there was a holy Bible in my room, that's about it.
- Emily (1/5): Terrible - Nothing No ac. No electric in room. Rude front desk guy. Did not end up staying here
- Reisinger (1/5): - Actually left 1 hour in because police were called on another room Actually left 1 hour in because police were called on another room
- Wanda (10/5): - I made a 50.00 deposit it was never returned
- Cigaran (1/5): It was very uncomfortable and I won’t book at anymore americas best when I travel. - It was hot as you walked in, dirty, smelled like smoke or people who were there smoked. One of the rooms the Tv didn’t work and wasn’t fixed until around 9pm. The mirrors were all smudged and had to use a towel to wipe it to see. The technician that fixed the tv smelled like he was drinking, pants down below buttocks to thighs/knees. We weren’t told this was a weekly rate or living quarter for people to stay long term. There was trash outside of the room doors. There was a person down the hall yelling incoherently. We weren’t told we would have to pay an additional 100$ deposit total, this was 50$ per room, for incident deposit.
- Ko (2/5): -
- Jenny (1/5): Scammers scammer scammers - Liked the price Didn’t like that they ran my debit card for the room and after it went through they said there would be a $50 non-refundable fee. We did not have the money so he said he couldn’t check us in and said my husband would have to leave. Said we wouldn’t be getting our money back either. They just SCAMMED a family of 5 just trying to make it week to week
- U3459GHgp (2/5): Do not stay here!!!!!! - This place is horrible, room are loaded with bugs, smells of stale smoke, section 8 people, undesirables! Tiles peeling up, etc!
- Glen (2/5): - This was an extremely unsafe place. There was a biker gang hanging out, drinking and had bikes parked everywhere. There was a woman extremely upset when we pulled into the front area to check in. Her car had been hit while parked. Staff was rude. All they said was, “We do not have your reservation, “you’ll need to call your booking agent”. No other help was offered.
- Herbert (8/5): - $50 deposir for non smoking room was high
- Lovely4u22 (4/5): No Hot Water - The water was not hot in the shower. It was a cold water shower, The area is a little scetchy. Getting and out was a difficult The room was dated and needed updating. The staff was friendly. Two characters were out by the desk looking suspicious
- Richard (2/5): - Lovely and kind reception but the absolute dirtiest property that weI have been in in over 50 years. I have been in the hotel business for 45 years. Traveled over the past 15 in Destinations all across America. The absolute worst.
- richard (4/5): - Kitchen was closed for remodel but we were not told no breakfast at ck-in!
- Nicole (4/5): - I was happy with seeing the renovation in progress, and lobby looks great. I have stayed many times over the years and owners are the best and doing a great job in making it nice. I was very disappointed in the hallway being cluttered with beds and furniture. The room was bottom of the line in my opinion, dresser drawers missing, floor was a mess, bed was half off frame. Hot water in shower was not even luke warm.
- Dean (8/5): - Gym was closed and buuldig was being remodled. But was overall quiet and comfortable.
- Jeremy (2/5): - Somebody from the property management will respond to this post and state that we’re sorry for the inconvenience. We’re currently being remodeled.
The truth is, there is nothing about their remodel that is clean, new other than the paint, and definitely not a worthwhile hotel to stay at. The air conditioning unit that is on the wall, made it horrible noise, it absolutely stank, which I determined the reasoning why was because the air filter was so incredibly dirty that nobody had serviced or cleaned it and God only knows how long. You will be able to see that by the picture that I posted below. There was virtually zero hot water and or any pressure that came through the showerhead. The tub is extremely old as well as the faucets in the unit. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, it didn’t even have a fitted sheet, and the mattress itself was disgusting.
The comforter had massive hole in it and two different places and was likely as old as a 1970s film.
In addition to all of this, the constant noise from the people who were very disrespectful, working well into the wee hours of the morning, and starting at the wee hours of the morning, made this place virtually impossible to sit down, relax, sleep, which is the primary reason of why I rented a room, and or just be able to wind down my day, watching some TV without the constant noise of something going on around.
The immense amount of dust that was inside of the hotel room from the construction was evident the room was dirty.
- Amy Williamson (4/5): I sure hope it’s better after the “remodel” - The ceiling in the bathroom leaked. So cold water fell in you when you were in the shower. The toilet lid would not open all the way so it scraped your back when you were sitting on the toilet. The TV literally fell out of the wall while we were there first night and the solution was to set it on the media center with the giant gouges in the wall visable. On the good side the room was clean. The sheets were soft. The bed was comfortable. Oh. And every time one used the key once you had to go get it re-keyed
- Mike (3/5): I can endure anything for just one nit - The staff was very nice. The mattress was comfortable, and the location very convenient to where we were. The cleanliness level lacked. The bath towels were stained, but at least smelled clear.
- Casandra (2/5): - The worst room I’ve ever seen. The beds were nasty. Patch work over every wall. Covers were old and dirty. Cigarette burns on the covers. Chairs in the room were badly stained.I immediately check out after seeing the room.
- Anonymous (1/5): Terrible - There was no running water and drugs use everywhere No running water and drug use.
- Jared (3/5): You get what you pay for - It was close to Adkins Stadium for the State track meet that's about it. They said it was a smoking room. Surprised it did not smell like smoke. Dust on furniture. No soap to even wash your hands. Had to go buy some. Room was hot when we got there. They had a window unit that actually did a good job cooling off the room. We needed a place to stay. It was cheap and did the job that's it. You get what you pay for.
- Heather (2/5): - Messed up our room. Mold on shower curtains. Hallways smelt bad. All around horrible choice
- Brienna (2/5): - Absolutely horrible. Advertised and pictured as a clean regular hotel with breakfast included and gym. No breakfast, no gym, no coffee, gambling machines in the lobby, and the water ran black with sediment and dirt when we turned it on. Planned a week stay, spent one night and sought lodging elsewhere. Oh and the hotel management won't approve refund under any circumstances so just don't book here to avoid all of that
- Debbie (2/5): - The fridge was not cold, tv didn’t work and the bathroom as not clean
- Julie (4/5): - Under construction, furniture lining the hallway. Dust every where. Locks were broken on the door and bathroom door couldn't close. Never again
- DANYELLE (4/5): You get what you pay for. - The room was clean. I was on the second floor. There was construction going on until 8pm. There was no breakfast/coffee.
- Leslie (2/5): Find somewhere else to stay! - They were in the middle of a renovation but didn't know about it until later. The room had dead bugs behind the door, pumpkin seeds on the floor, was partially painted, had a stain on the mattress that showed through the sheets, there was a deep crevice/dip on the left side of the mattress, towels were ratty and had holes, bathroom ceiling was bubbled and coming down, it was very noisy and they must have been working in the room above us (heard walking around/pacing constantly and had to turn up a sound machine to attempt to drown out the noise), no coffee or ice bucket in room, and they advertised having a complimentary breakfast
but since they were under renovation they didn't have it. Didn't offer coffee or anything.
Only good thing about it was the water pressure.
- Robert (2/5): - Frig froze everything. Mix-matched paint on the walls. Linen/bedding was only changed when I went to the desk and asked for it. Very dirty! The worse week I have ever spent in a hotel.
- Gina (2/5): Just Don't - I booked this room for my son's fiancé and a bridesmaid. I checked them in, and gave them the mobile for my cousin, a groomsman. Five minutes later, my cousin called and told me this was NOT a safe place to stay, nor as described in the listing. He was not staying, and he didn't feel comfortable with the two young ladies' staying there either.
My deposit was refunded, but we are still working on getting the full room fee refunded. The girls had to get another room at another hotel.
- T9671XYmarieb (2/5): Terrible - DIRTY AND NO REFUNDS - DO NOT STAY HERE! Every bedroom is disgusting and unsafe. I was in my room for ten minutes and found dead bugs, pubic hair INSIDE OF THE BEDSHEETS, poop stains in the toilet, and the shower head was falling off of the wall. Nothing had been cleaned from the previous person staying in the room. There was a candy wrapper stuffed in the peephole.
When I asked for a refund, they said they DO NOT ACCEPT REFUNDS after check in! They tried to switch me to another room and there was pubic hair in both of the beds. I begged them to refund me so I could go somewhere else because I did not feel safe at this hotel and they refused, as well as being extremely rude.
I told them “how is it fair that you can’t get a refund when we can’t see the rooms before we check in”, and they responded that my concern makes sense but they still will not do anything about it. I have never seen a hotel this bad. It isn’t worth $30 a night. Do not go here because they will steal your money. It also felt extremely unsafe as a solo female traveler.
- Trinity (2/5): False advertisement - It advertised breakfast but they DO NOT have breakfast or coffee of any sort.
- Amy (8/5): - This was a nice, affordable place to stay. I would overall recommend it for a brief stay in Jefferson City, MO. There's nothing too close within walking distance nearby, but it's convenient that they accept both cards and cash. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't see any ATM or vending machines, but there was a small snack bar located at the front desk and even a few casino slot machines in the lobby. There's free breakfast included, and both an elevator and staircases inside the building. There was no room cleaning during my stay, but I only stayed there for one night. The room was mostly clean with a few flaws. The toilet had a hair strand on it, the bathroom sink and shower drain were somewhat clogged, and there were even a few food crumbs on the bed and carpet. There were also two bugs crawling on the floor, but none on the bedding. No trash can. Air condition/heating unit worked well, but I couldn't get the TV or lighting in the room to function! Even after pressing buttons on the remote control and the light switches near the lamps! This same exact issue recently happened to me at an "America's Best Value Inn" in Iowa, with the lights and TV not working! Not sure what the problem is, and if it's just me, the particular hotel chain, or all just a strange coincidence? I wish instructions on how to work the TV and lights were included. But I loved how my room had a large bed, big desk with chair, phone, microwave, mini fridge, and a small loveseat sofa couch!
- Deanna (2/5): - They advertised continental breakfast & microwaves in rooms. Niether one happened. There was no coffee anywhere in the hotel!!! We didnt receive a discount for he missing amenities. We were charged the full price. They had to change our room. The first one, the tv didn't work & there was only one working light!! Worst stay we have ever had!!
- Robin (2/5): Never again at this one. - This used to be a decent place in the not so distant past. Room waa filthy and was charged a deposit at site that was not mentioned anywhere!
- Mary (4/5): Needs worrk - The sign outside said Continental breakfast (nope). We couldnt get the tv working, girl came down and tried, no luck. Said she was sending someone down (never came). Finally we found 1 station to watch. Was charged an unexpected depisit to ensure non-smoking.
- William (2/5): America's Best, not really .. - The location was close to what we needed. The first room we were given was in horrible condition. They moved us to a 2nd room that was better than the first, but still well short of where I would expect it to be.
- Emma (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amber (2/5): - Floors were dirty and they over charged me and outside condition was bad rail road ties falling and people jumping up and down up stairs while I was trying to sleep
- Joann (2/5): Disappointed - Smoking room. No bugs! The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room was dirty. The toilet stopped up and had to fix ourselves. Hair in shower. Floor not clean. Ceiling painted all different. Walls not painted where holes had been patched. Toilet paper stuffed in peep hole.
- Christina (4/5): - The first room was very dirty and had to kill a spider in the bed with me. Then I was moved to another room where I refused to use the shower because of how dirty it was.
- Mikol (6/5): - Was a place to lay my head
- timothy (2/5): - was charged 20 bucks a person for 3 people on a smoking room reservation got to the room it had bed bugs in the bed trash everywhere and dirty towels in the bathroom
- Teresa (2/5): - The whole experience was horrible, no coffee, continuous noise, unable to sleep, toilet didn't work, showers out of order. It was not to much to write it all down.
- lisawD9117XT (10/5): Very Pleased. - I stayed for over a week room was good and it was clean. They also had biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Employees were hospitable. But hats off to maintenance crew who aired up my flat tire at 10:30 p.m. Now you don’t get service like that just anywhere.
- Jacob (2/5): Very poor -
- Amber (2/5): NEVER stay here - Checking in was a nuisance, had to pay more for some fee $20 per day. The room was filthy, like it hadn't been touched in weeks. There was blood in the screen of the window, bed bugs poop on mattress. Talking to the owner and he says nothing I can do but move to another room.. wouldn't return money.
- Tracey (6/5): - The restroom in the motel was less than clean. Poop on the wall in a couple places, the trash can was nasty as well. When we went to get in bed there was a very badly torn pillowcase on one of the pillows. I went to the service desk and asked for a new one. The gentleman (very pleasant) told me the cleaning lady would be right there and I waited a good 10 minutes for her and she did not show up. He then told me to go up to my room and he would bring us up a new pillowcase. The television did not have a good selection as far as stations for viewing. I will not be staying at this motel again.
- Angela (2/5): Very poor -
- MICHELLE (2/5): - This place should be condemned. Not only is it in ill repair but the place is filthy. Expedia should be ashamed to be listing such a place.
- Andre (4/5): - Not to good, had 2 rooms booked and one wasn't cleaned, so they moved us to another room, where the walls were prepped for painting and fridgewasn'tsuitablefor use. There was a cart of construction trash in the hallway which was a bad look plus hard to get by. Entire hotel smelled of a strong pine cleaner which was pretty irritating and strong.
- Michael (1/5): The worst day location in hotel facilities I've ever been - First room that I booked into at dirty sheets piled up on the floor crash all over the floor food in the bed food on the tables the shower didn't work so they moved me to another room where the heat didn't work there didn't work the sheets were dirty and they charged me $190 for something in the room There's nothing about the room that I liked wish I could get my money back but instead I was charged double
- James (3/5): Poor -
- Michelle (4/5): - The room was freezing cold
- Penny (1/5): Bad -
- sagayaraj (2/5): - This property is not worth to stay. Its like aa disaster relief camp.
- Stacy (2/5): - After booking the room through Hotel.com. . And paying for with my card . They changed another 70 $ 50 $ deposit for a none smoking room qnd 20$ for my dog. The dog I can understand but ,when I ask for none smoking why they made me put a deposit down? I had to stay an extra night because of a winter storm they charged me again for my dog and even for the room cost me another 85$ The bed frame was made out of 2×8 The shower leaked all over the floor soaking my bag and the close I had in it .The snow storm came through and they didn't have anyone plowing the parking lot or the sidewalk to where I had to park . The continental breakfast consist of watery gravy and biscuit coffee and nothing else. I don't recommend this place for anyone
- David (6/5): - I didn't like that the manager of the Budget Inn would not allow me to check in and I just lost my money.
- Rebecca J (4/5): Not a Pleasant Stay - This motel was not one we will return to. The bathroom was dirty and there was no soap. The rooms were not quiet, we could hear people in other tins and the halls. The floor was sticky. We had to pay a deposit for a non smoking room and then wait for them to go check it when we checked out.
- Kirk (4/5): Peeping Tom's - After I arrived the clerk Had me pa a extra 20 bucks for a room that was smelly opposed to the one a asked for. Then after I got out of the shower caught him watching me which was creepy.
- Renee (2/5): - I liked nothing about it. It's a nasty hole I wouldn't let a mouse with roaches as travel companions stay there. I did not stay there I left upon going into the room. No locks on the door sealed the deal with me. There was trash in the desk and lights didn't come on when I opened the door. And there was tv for others down the hall but no TV in mine. And I noticed the place had a lot of rooms with lights on but no cars in the drive. There were broken stoves when getting off elevator on the 3rd floor. I do not think that place is safe for no one to stay so think twice before renting from here.
- Sasha (8/5): Very good -
- Board (10/5): Restful - The place appears to be receiving upgrades. Was quiet the breakfast was hot and coffee good. All in all a good experience The television channels not alot of selection.
- Tina (1/5): Disgustingly dirty even for the cheap price with roaches. Would never stay there again. - Location was fine. I didn’t eat the breakfast because of the cleanliness issues. There were blood stains on the carpet. The microwave and fridge were disgustingly dirty. In 3 days no one came to clean the room. There was a roach in the sink. There were stains all over the covers and sheets.
- Mary (8/5): - No tv.
- Robert (6/5): BG - Refrigerator was not clean and also seen roaches in bathroom. Need to put customers with dogs at another part of hotel so others are not disturbed in the night.
- Shonda (5/5): Passable - The walls were thin. I could hear everything happening in the other rooms. Also there was a very prevalent odor coming into my room from another one. No freezer on the frig for ice packs to be refrozen.
- Lisa (4/5): Disappointing - Got charged 140$ had to 22.$ additional on top of that abundance 50$ deposit for non smoking room got the 50$ after I checked out then half way home got charged 63$ 02 cents for what? Over charged
- Massman (7/5): Good - The price No good breakfast
- Massman (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Did not like this hotel. There were bugs in my room and the TV has only two channels that worked. Also smelled terrible and dirty.
- Coni (2/5): Nope - it was the cheapest hotel that was closest to the concert venue. I was told all rooms were booked despite booking a room thru Booking.com. I only got a room as someone cancelled their room while I was waiting to check in. No soap or wwaswash cloths in room. people were coming to get towels and wash cloths as I was checking in.
- Ronald (5/5): Passable - Price Maintenance is very poor. Hotel reeks of smoking most of the time.
- Christina (2/5): - The first room I got was dirty inside each drawer and the television did not work. The second room I got the shower sprayed water all over the place and hardly anything worked properly such as the hairdryer, etc. Someone banged on my door at 10:30 in the morning to warn me, it was almost checkout time. I’m a responsible adult. I think I can manage without the rudeness.
- DeAndre (2/5): - The worst hotel experience ever dirty towels dirty rooms and roaches with wings. 0/10 I would not recommend.
- Karen (2/5): - Upon check in, there was a loud argument between a guest and staff member. The staff member claimed the guest threatened bodily harm. Front desk check in and out service very slow. Another guest checked out early due to a cockroach in their room. The total charge of $120.00 far outweighed the accommodations.
- Loren (2/5): - There were coackroaches comingnout of the drain and scattering, the second room that they tried to give us had a cup of noodles and a waterbottle that had bedn sitting there for days in it.
- darrell (2/5): - requested non smoking room, room, hallway, lobby smelled of smoke, required a $50 deposit for non-smoking room. bathroom door would not latch, no kind of soap in the bathroom. after being in the room for 1/2 hour, my wife developed a sore throat. there was mold around tub, paint cracking on the wall. parking lot was not well lit. the $50 deposit was to be refunded upon checking out, it appeared briefly for one day on my account activity and then disappeared
- Gerardo (2/5): - The place was dinghy. The bathroom was nasty and the tub faucet was bent 35 degrees. Caulk was brown. AC system was loud. The lobby and back door security locks did not work. It's like the owners of this place gave up.
- Teddy (2/5): - Awful. Worst experience ever
- Lettie (2/5): - Rooms don’t look or smell good hair on the sheets wouldn’t give refund we left immediately
- denisegH7827NU (2/5): BUGS!!! - Never again! BED BUGS AND ROACHES EVERYWHERE!! Filthy rooms. Dirty linens. Smoldering hot in the room...which I suspect is to hide the bed bugs infestation.
The staff seemed to try to help..but management refused to be reasonable.
We WILL NOT stay in hotel infestated with bed bugs and roaches. GROSS.
Refused to refund after staying only an hour.
- todd (4/5): - We started out with a non working phone, not even a cord for it. Needed them to come to the room as the tv was not working. Got a smoking room with no ashtrays, they went into another room to find one, leaving that room without. No ice bucket or cups. Never did find any. Needed to ask for a roll of toilet paper as the only one in the bathroom was not even half. No facial tissue. The next day we went and bought our own pillows as there were only 2 for a king bed and they were not acceptable, also bought cups and our own tissues. Continental breakfast consisted of dry toast and biscuits with gravy. Nothing else. Coffee ran out by 8am and they never refilled. No cream, only sugar. This was all 3 mornings of our stay. The refrigerator in the room needed to be turned up and there were items in there from the previous guest. Air conditioner did not work well either. Only 1 handicapped parking space and that was not marked well, so there was always someone parked in it and we were unable to use and my wife is in a wheelchair. Same person at desk anytime we went through and he was never very helpful and spoke so softy i could not understand anything he said. We have stayed here before and it was not like this.
- Carrie (2/5): - This was absolutely one of the worst stays in a hotel ever!! Wanted to charge me $30 for getting here 5 MINUTES early!! Then checked us into a dirty room with slept in beds! And that room had 6 pillows (3per bed) but even after checking us into that dirty room they still refused to give us 2 extra pillows in our “clean” room which only had 4. 4 adults sleeping in hard as rocks beds with one flat pillow a piece. Not good sleeping at all. Much less I had to remake both beds that were short sheeted to even cover up with the dirty blankets that were on the bed. However, I am glad we were only looking for a place to lay our heads down for the night, because the bathroom was just as nasty! Molded shower curtain, molded shower full of someone else’s hair, urine all over the wall, mirror that looked like someone had literally spit toothpaste ALL over! Completely disgusting! Completely unacceptable!
- Rickie (10/5): - Nice place
- Villarreal (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nicholette (4/5): - Prostitution going on in the building people fighting roaches on the walls. Only good thing is you can smoke inside and it’s cheap most of the time
- tanya (2/5): - It's was awful
- Mike (7/5): Good - Staff was really nice... The room had a lock that wouldn't lock and the batteries was dead in the TV remote
- Angela (5/5): Passable -
- Fikret (10/5): - A
- Tiata (10/5): - Staff was nice
- Eric (8/5): - Being close to everything I was looking for and was wanting to see
- Stephanie (2/5): BED BUGS - It looked okay enough and the bed looked clean, but then I woke up at 3AM itching and realized that I was covered in bites because they have BED BUGS!!! I got up, gathered my stuff and left! When I alerted the front desk staf they didn't even bother to apologize, offer a refund, or anything else.
- Leslie (3/5): Poor - Quiet, could smoke in room. Dirty, no ice, minimal towels, pillows, sheets and blankets had holes burnt in them. No phone or ashtrays in room.
