• Romy (8/5): Clean simple beauty without clatters or cheap items, beautiful view - Simple beauty without any cheap clatters that you see at many Japanese hotels/ryokans, good amenity and facilities incl Nespresso machine in the room, beautiful view, clean everywhere, clean and beautiful modern onsen, great additional amenities. Friendly staff called for dinner reservations. Food was good and nice presentation. Room lighting can be improved with more soft indirect lighting. Beautiful view in the room but can have some small light outside to enjoy the night view from the room. The chairs were obviously set to watch TV but seeing the view through their large windows should be more priority (we moved the rug and chairs!). Pick-up and drop off were helpful on the rainy day with heavy luggage. Staff lack of words other than “thank you” Lighting outside by the water was missing to enjoy the night view from the room

• Joycelyn (10/5): A good stay! - It’s quite near the train station (about 15 mins walk). I But the best part is, it’s just opposite the Amanohashidate cable car station which is very convenient. There’s a bus that goes to Ine Bay which is just opposite the hotel, though the journey is far. The dinner & breakfast were great. Perhaps the hotel should provide a warmer link away to the restaurant which is located outside the hotel, it’s very cold walking the link way during winter. The Onsen is great but water is very hot. The amenities provided in the Onsen is more than sufficient. Price wise is abit to the high side. The view of the river in the room was pleasant and there’s a open walk way at the back of the hotel that link to the river. Will consider staying again if there is an opportunity. Nothing

Kumar san did a thorough orientation for our stay. Same goes to all the front desk and Mon dining area staffs. Japanese Breakfast was meticulously and superb Nothing about the property I don’t like. The fact I’ve already miss the place cause had only booked stay for a night!

• Mary (10/5): A wonderful stay! I recommend this property with 5 stars and 2 thumbs up! - Location was stunning. The garden outside of our first floor room, along the canal was peaceful and serene. I loved that they provided a futon mat to sit/lay down on to enjoy the outside as well. Our room was large and beautifully appointed. Loved making coffee in the room each morning and enjoying the view. Beds extremely comfortable and cozy. The private in-room onsen was delightful. We had a fabulous time riding along the peninsula on the one speed bicycles provided by the hotel. Make plans for your meals. This is a very small town and any of the good restaurants will require reservations.
• Lee (9/5): Relaxing break - Location- The hotel itself and the surrounding area are beautiful. There is a nice beach and woodland walk next to the hotel. It is quiet and a nice break away from the hussle and bussle of the cities in Japan. Train station is around a 5 min walk. Staff- Very friendly & helpful with the majority speaking fairly good English. Public Baths- The male public baths were spotless and also include a sauna and cold plunge pool. Attention to detail- As with all of Japan, the rooms were extremely clean. The room had a great balcony looking onto a wooded area. I would suggest a 2 night stay to be able to fully enjoy the hotel and surrounding area. Location- The vast majority of shops & resturants shut at around 6pm. If you haven't made a reservation at the hotel restaurant and the nearby restaurant 310 ( which is great by the way) is fully booked then you will struggle to eat. Bike rental- you have to pay 600 yen to rent bikes which is abit in an already expensive hotel. Breakfast- will not be to everyone's taste, especially westerners as it is mostly fish and soup.

• Douglas (10/5): - Monjusou was a fantastic place to stay in Amanohashidate. It is close to the station, less than 5 minutes walk, and very close to all of the great sites to visit. The staff was excellent and treated us very well, and were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was amazing too.

• Amy (9/5): Excellent View, huge Guest Room with hot spring bath in the room - Our room has an excellent view just by the shore. Room was huge, with both Japanese and western area and the hot spring bath inside the room is excellent for my travel partner who is not comfortable using the public hot spring facilities. The two meals included were decadent, with lots of courses. Staff was friendly, attentive and the Japanese staff can communicate adequately in English. They do have a few foreign workers in the staff which speaks better English also. Location of hotel is just a 4 minutes walk from Amanohashidate Station.

Beware that you should reserve dinner in the hotel before arrival otherwise you will have to fetch for a restaurant nearby and they basically mostly close before 6 pm.

We can park our car at the parking after check out to continue the sight-seeing before leaving the area. Room is quiet and with nice view. While the staff in general were friendly and helpful, we were very disappointed with the 2 staff at check out time. Two young staff - one female and one male - were just standing there watching me struggle with putting 3 full sizes luggages and 2 hand-carry into the car trunk. They stood there and just watched and didn’t help even my friend asked them too. This is not acceptable for a hotel if such high ratings.

• YUN PEI (8/5): 地理位置優越，房間風景雅緻。大致不錯小地方細膩不足 - 距離天橋立車站很近，可以請飯店來接泊，或是步行5分鐘。接待人員英文可通也很親切。飯店地理位置很好，距離天橋立纜車也只需要步行5分鐘左右。 房間的景色相當雅致，空間也很寬敞，也有大眾池可泡，但是沒有房間的湯屋。 唯一美中不足的是，沒有事前詢問有沒有禁忌或是過敏的食物不能吃，抵達飯店時，我們提早表示同行中有人餐點的部分不吃牛肉，飯店表示不能更改，不吃的食物只能給同行的友人吃，很殘念
• CP (8/5): A very nice hotel but still has area for improveme - The hotel is very good in both general services, environment and food. The location is just 5 minutes walk from JR station and also very close to scenic spots. I love the little backyard of my room and allow me to walk out to the riverside. The only area of improvement is the dinner arrangement seems a bit rush and we seems need to eat in a hurry. Anyway the foods quality were good.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Best Ryokan Experience - Monjusou has two carparks - one at the main entrance and another down the road. Driving to the location is a breeze and you'll get to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The staff greeted us at the entrance once we arrived and gave us discount coupons for the Land View attraction as we were early for check-in. They were very friendly and we felt like VIPs under their care. After we came back one staff showed us around the Ryokan, where we learnt that there's two onsen areas - one for males and another for females. They swap the onsen once a day so that you'll get to enjoy two different environments. It would be nice if the onsen can be reserved for private use. There's also an awesome massage chair outside the onsen area that you can use after soaking. The room is right along the river and it's huge - 10 tatami mats to be exact. The room also comes with a balcony, toilet, washbasin area, and a shower room with a wooden bathtub. It's really the largest and most comfortable Ryokan we've ever stayed in. The linen used for the bedding is so soft you'll not want to wake up. We walked around the Ryokan barefooted as tatami mats were everywhere. The staff didn't inform us that dinner would not be served in the rooms but at the restaurant beside the main entrance of the Ryokan, so we waited 30mins in our room in vain. The dinner was very enjoyable and took us over an hour to finish. Breakfast was equally delicious. This is really the perfect getaway place.

• Ying-Ta (10/5): 很棒的日式住宿經驗 - 位於天橋立週邊很不錯的日式飯店, 臨運河, 景佳, 房間大, 還有兩間廁所, 除了房內的浴缸, 也有男女露天浴池, 推薦！儘管工作人員不諳英文, 仍舊很熱心地運用翻譯軟體, 協助解決問題。其地點距離天橋立車站約莫步行5-10分鐘；但是貴網的中文名稱：蒙居速飯店會令人混淆，我就因此來回走了兩趟，經過它招牌兩次都沒有察覺。它的漢字名稱是：文珠莊，建議貴網更正，也方便後續的旅客查找入住。

• Catherine (8/5): 員工服務態度一流 - 員工服務態度一流，房間整㵖但略為舊一些。不過好有日本特色。最好是酒店餐廳環境及其早晩餐都是廚師用心做的。
• Mamamia (10/5): One of a kind Japanese treat! - The Ryokan (Japanese style hotel) was conveniently located at only a few minutes walk from the station. However, if you call the hotel (not sure if there is an English speaker), their van would gladly come to pick you up. As soon as we arrived at the property, a staff came over to carry our suitcases and greeted us. The hotel is a typical but very nice Japanese hotel with tatami mat. You take off your shoes at the front desk and they will secure your shoes and even remember which shoes you wear. The interior is beautiful with classical Japanese style with narrow corridors with tatami mat. Our room was nice size with private bathtub, shower and the toilet room. We enjoyed the closed in patio room to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The breakfast was not only delicious but out of the world presentation. Loved the staff and especially the friendly and polite servers who serves with the utmost care without expectation of tips. Although this was not the cheapest hotel price you can find, we would love to stay again if opportunity arises!!

• Micro (8/5): Good - The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was very convenience near train station. But the meal especially the meal was disappointing, as I have a high expectation to Japanese local food
• pazu (10/5): 気持ちよく滞在できました - 駅からも天橋立入口からも近く、けれど静かなエリアにあります。 部屋は運河？水辺に面していて広くとても静かでした。 恐らくは古い建物だと思いますが掃除が行き届き感じよく整えられています。 お食事は本館に隣接するレストランで頂きますが、センス良い献立が丁寧に調理され楽しめました。
• Jenny King Yue (8/5): A quiet and nice hotel - The hotel is good, staff are helpful. Better reserve the dinner during reservation as all shops nearby including restaurants are closed at night. Unfortunately I didn't reserve dinner with the hotel and almost got nothing to eat. Finally the hotel could find a sushi place for us, with 10 mins walk
