Il bagno da migliorare.

- Steven (10/5): Stay here as it’s great value right in the center near to the palace. - This property is in the middle of a calm area of the center of Ubud. You are a 2 min walk onto the Main Street which has all the amenities needed for your stay eg Bars, restaurants, shops etc.
The room is adequate with clean bedding and towels. It has a private bathroom with toilet and shower that is totally functional.
The owners are exceptionally kind and providing.
The breakfast of fruit and pancake is amazing. Nothing

- Ramian (2/5): Very poor - Wc wasn't OK
- Caress (7/5): Hostel's location has Great access to stores and restaurants. - location is close to stores and restaurants no available parking for cars within the hostel. parking is far and requires payment each time you access the parking area. bathrooms lavatory is leaking and trash has not been collected daily. It is located in the busiest street in Ubud where traffic abounds daily.
- Raudha (10/5): Exceptional - Very cheap, at city center & nearby attractions Very macet if you use motorbike, cleanliness can be improved especially the bathroom
- Champa (7/5): Good -

- Alice (8/5): Very good -
- Liming (9/5): A comfortable place at the heart of the city - A comfortable place at the heart of the city. The hosts were very friendly and lovely. They even prepared a simple take away breakfast for me as I have a very early flight out. Great value for the price paid. THANK YOU once again. 😊
- Margaret (9/5): Good experience - This homestay isn’t the best, but the family owners made us feel like family, providing all we needed with warmth and care. They’ll clean your room on request, though I didn’t ask since the staff are mostly elderly. The location is perfect—seconds from shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good. Kind staff and owner. They 2 cute cats that sometimes come there to play. The WiFi, however, was unreliable, forcing us to check out early instead of extending. Still, I’d rate it high for their hospitality and would return if they improve!
- Chen (7/5): The price match the room. Good value of money. Suitable for people who is not care about so much - Location/ price / staff/ air-conditioner work well The room need some more redecoration
With small spider in the room
- Nick (7/5): Good - Breakfast, location and the family that runs Sudru Bathroom needed to cleaned
- Gyongyi (7/5): Good -
- Kholod (10/5): unique experience - Nice host, quiet house, delicious breakfast...a unique experience nothing 😊
- Dana (10/5): Exceptional - Great location indeed, it's in the art market center of Ubud. The hosts are really accommodating, they even gave us welcome drinks. Really affordable, the breakfast is really good plus we didn't expect that the showers has an heater. Will definitely come back!
- Chacon (7/5): Good -
- Jackie (9/5): Superb -
- Hurghadasuzy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gopinath (9/5): Superb -
- Lee (9/5): Superb - The location is super good! If wandering on the street to late evening, soon to be back hotel. The provide breakfast for the morning. (Tasted good!!) There is a balcony for rest out of the room. It’s like staying in the old Bali architecture!! The room is big and with hot water for shower. The wall cancer should be repair in the room. It looks scaring….
The owner didn’t reply on message. If you are looking for some tour ordering, it’s hard to get reply.
- Chip (10/5): Exceptional - Very big and luminous new room. Just in the city center, with a market outside and restaurant close. Amazing city view from the balcony. Very nice for the price
- Rachella (2/5): Very poor -
- Dylan (8/5): Great stay with lovely hosts. - Great location, comfy bed, amazing hosts. Could be cleaner
- Juan (9/5): Great value for money - All All was good. The terrace furniture was very relaxing
- Robyn (3/5): Great Location and Service, But lacking hygiene and sanitary/cleanliness - The location was great, right smack in the middle of ubud, the aircon was strong, the staff attitude was very welcoming and pleasant. The breakfast included was also very nice and filling.
There was a nice balcony/ lounge area outside of the room. The staff was kind to provide cutleries for our food deliveries, insect repellent, and also allowed us to keep our bags after check out. The room is not very clean. This is my second time staying at sadru house, and the first time was in May 2022. Then, i recalled the breakfast had a much fuller fruit bowl, and the rooms were cleaned well.
This time round, however, the reviews on the cleanliness is absolutely true. The toilet walls, sink, toilet bowl looked like it hasnt been cleaned for a long while, and we see red mould. As for the room floor, it feels a bit dusty, and the ceiling fan had a think layer of dust covering it....
Also on the bedding.. i think there were no blankets, we used our scarves and jackets to keep ourselves warm for the night.
I wont consider coming back again as much as i loved the location and service... Because the cleanliness is unacceptable for a guesthouse.
- Helena (7/5): Value for money - Located just by the main roads, near the temple and the shopping streets, and walking distance to monkey forest. Nice authentic surroundings. The staff are friendly as well! It is sometimes hard to find the staff as there is no reception, but we managed eventually (and then they were always very helpful). There was some musty smell from the bathroom, and the internet was really slow.
- Paramanik (5/5): Passable -
- Shengchuan (7/5): Basic room in good location. Good value for the money. - Nice location in the center of Ubud. Good value for the money. There was a leaking toilet, that was repaired by the owner next day. The room was basic without much of the furniture. There was no shower screen, so the bathroom floor was wet after shower.
- Smilla (10/5): Lovely stay! - Has a great location and it’s very close to everything in Ubud, everything was really clean!! And our room had a terrace in front of our room which was lovely!! Great value for your money and the host was very nice!! -
- Juan (7/5): You get what you pay for. Simple old room in a very good location. Owners seem to be good people ☺️ - Breakfast was very nice on the terrace ! You get what you pay for. Simple old room in a very good location
- Catalina (9/5): Superb -
- Arlin (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (9/5): Highly recommend staying in sadru house, very good location and nice staff - Good location, comfortable, very kind and helpful staff, breakfast provided Drainage for bathroom sink was broken, wasn't a major problem for us
- Davide (10/5): Exceptional - Located in the very center of Ubud, quiet despite its position. The room was huge and the breakfast delicious. You can park your scooter there too and leave your luggage after checkout time! Would be back!
- Quinie (8/5): Very good - Free breakfast . The staff is really good. The comfort room is quite old
- Daphny (7/5): Good -
- Arianna (2/5): Disappointment - Our experience at this guest house was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We had requested to extend our stay by an extra day and informed the property three days before our arrival in Ubud, as required. Despite their policy stating a response within 48 hours, we received no reply at all. Assuming our request had been accepted, we arrived late in the evening, only to find that no arrangement had been made.
We attempted to contact the owner multiple times with no success. In the end, we had to disturb our driver to help us reach someone at the guest house. Finally, the owner appeared and informed us that there were no available rooms as the property was fully booked. We were left stranded and shocked, with nowhere to stay for the night. The owner told us to return at 10 AM the next day for check-in.
After spending the entire night awake and exhausted from our 16-hour journey, we arrived at 10 AM, only to be told that check-in would not be possible until 12 PM due to guest check-out times. By this point, we were beyond frustrated, sleep-deprived, and completely worn out. Finally, at noon, we were able to check in.
The room was average at best, but the bathroom was a disaster. The toilet had issues, and every time we flushed, it caused a terrible odor to fill the bathroom. The entire space was filthy and clearly not maintained.
Overall, our stay was far from pleasant. Despite its central location in Ubud, I would strongly advise future guests to book elsewhere. There are plenty of other accommodations in the area that are likely much better. We certainly won’t be returning.
- Antonio (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, nice breakfast, comfortable beds great value for money. If the bath towel isn't in the room, you can ask for it and you'll get one. I had the room in the basement. There's a dog tied to a tree that barks constantly at night and it's annoying and disturbing.
- Giulia (10/5): Very suited for few days staying in Ubud - Central position and people there were just lovely!
We have been there for a month and everything went always fine!
- Hurghadasuzy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (5/5): Passable - Location is fine No AC and the flushing hand shower is not working
- Angelica (10/5): an oasis right in the center of ubud. - precious service! an oasis right in the center of ubud. just a few steps from simply EVERYTHING. kind and helpful people. spacious room, comfortable bed, working air conditioning. bathroom that works. remember how much you are paying to stay in the center of ubud!
- Najlae (9/5): Superb - Very large room, comfy bed, great aircondition, nice balcony, hot water, clean! No closet and as a girl I would have liked a large mirror but it's absolutely not a necessity.
- Elena (8/5): Great place - Great place with lovely balcony. Really tasty breakfast
Central location in ubud
Big room Bathroom was not really clean
- Panpaphat (6/5): Good location, low price but not that clean. But if you dont worry about it like just stay for 1-2 night is okay - Staff is so nice and helpful. Location is in the city center of ubud ❤️ Im so sorry to tell you this. The room i got is not that clean, the mold on the wall, ac is working but not cold, the bathroom is dirty like nobody cleans it for long time.
Please renovate this room and clean the bathroom 😭😭😭😭
- Christine (10/5): A pleasure to had stayed and felt safe. - The place was central , relaxed vibe and friendly family home. Being a solo female I felt extremely safe and comfortable and will stay again 😁 I could not fault it. It’s cheap budget accommodation.
- Claudia (8/5): Great deal for simple accommodation in the center - Ketut is very nice and available, his auntie also so sweet. I forgot my hat at checkout and he helped me to get it delivered despite being very busy. The room is quite big and basic, but perfect for a place to sleep in the centre on a low budget. I would say it's great for travelers and backpackers. It is just in the middle of the market so is not so easy to get in and out with luggage as cars can not enter. Also due to the location you can hear the area is very busy day and night.
- Liliyana (5/5): Passable -
- Lydia (8/5): Very good -
- Oussama (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chong (9/5): Location location location - Very friendly and helpful staffs.
Excellent location, just inside a lane next to the ubud market, but quiet enough for a good sleep. Nil
- Mazen (8/5): Very good -
- Nicolas (9/5): Superb -
- Mario (7/5): Good - The personal, all of them l, were amazing with us The bathroom smells bad
- Vaios (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ashur (10/5): Hidden gem in the heart of Ubud - Beautiful little spot, feels like it’s surrounded by temples right in the pumping heart of Ubud. A proper hidden secret. Very friendly people 🙏 Nothing!
- Coupernik (9/5): Superb - Very beautiful views, perfect location in the heart of Ubud, quiet though. Spacious comfortable rooms, terrace. Great hosting family. Price The neighbor's rooster started crowing at like 5 am :)
There is no kettle, soap in the room. But hosts provide hot water on request
- Hurghadasuzy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ann (7/5): Good - The service and the location was good. The personnel was very accommodating. We had a miscommunication regarding our arrival. Upon booking they confirmed that we can have an early check in unfortunately when we arrive we put our belongings at their house so we can leave for the tour.
- Karla (9/5): It was nice and comfortable. Still worth every penny we spent since it was very affordable and they had free breakfast. - It was very convenient location-wise since it’s near the shops. Also the view from our floor was good. The staff were also nice and the room was clean. We thought we were gonna get an airconditioned room plus our room was on the third floor, which was kind of hard and inconvenient for us since we had heavy bags.
- Yusra (3/5): Poor -
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, friendly staff, I felt very safe as a solo female and the breakfast was great. If I’m ever back in ubud this will be where I stay:) Thankyou!!!
- Shripad (7/5): Value to money - Centrally located. Nearby attractions. Simple and economical. Cleaning is average. No inverter back up.
- Ania (10/5): Exceptional - The place is really nice, in a city center, so it's perfect location but it's also very quiet, which is incredible. The breakfast is really tasty and the family super friendly. I recommend with my whole heart!
- Kayla (9/5): Awesome spot! - The staff here are super friendly and nice and always happy to help. What you got was soooo good for the price. Two options for breakfast (omelette or banana pancakes) that you eat on your balcony.
- Emily (1/5): Dirty, disappointing. - Good location We were really disappointed with this property for the following reasons
1. The room where we stayed was completely different from the room shown in this website. The room was dark, the walls had humidity, the furniture was very old. The room didn’t smell good.
2. The bathroom was really dirty from the beginning of our stay, specially walls and toilet.
3. We didn’t have any internet during all the time that we were over there.
4. The towels that we received were stained
Even with these problems we tried to sort this out talking with the owner of this property. Nevertheless nothing was done. After calls and mails without any answer, we tried to talk to the only person in the hotel that spoke a little bit of English. We received a very bad service, the bathroom still dirty.
Moreover, my friend developed a weird skin reaction, according to the doctor because of the mites of the dirty sheets.
In conclusion, a horrible experience.
- Shreyas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brittany (6/5): A great place to stay in the centre of Ubud - The host was very friendly & helpful, we really liked him. He was also very accommodating regarding breakfast. The room itself was comfortable, bed was nice. The location was convenient, walking distance to many restaurants, shops & Ubud Palace.
The bathroom was spacious. The AC didn’t work very well, it was super hot during the night and it randomly shut off and wouldn’t turn on until morning. Made for an uncomfortable night. Water pools up in the shower due to location of the drain.
- David (7/5): Great location and value for money, but lack of cleanliness in the bathroom. - Central but quiet location. Lovely staff/owners/family. Great view from generous top floor balcony. Great design - rooms separated by central stair well. Comfortable bed and pillows. At around €8 euro per night, this is incredibly good value for money considering breakfast is also included (but please do also read the 10 inaccuracies in my 'didn't like' section, in case these are a problem for you). I would certainly return. Specifically, the bathroom was not clean.
Please note that, as of late April 2024, there are a total of 10 inaccuracies on the list of facilities listed for Sadru House on the booking.com site. I will inform booking.com and this might change. These inaccuracies didn't bother me too much as a solo traveller, but they might bother you, and you should have accurate information.
Inaccuracies as follows:
1. Accessibility. Entire unit is not on ground floor and even the ground floor is up three steep steps (there is no ramp).
2. There is no wardrobe or closet. Clothes can only be spread out on second bed.
3. The drying rack and clothes rack mentioned are the same item. See above.
4. There is no daily housekeeping. My room was cleaned once (including sheets) in a 19 night stay.
5. There is no Reception or front desk/area.
6. There is no restaurant, and therefore no terrace associated with it.
7. There is no kitchen accessible to you, shared or
otherwise, and therefore no dining table.
8. There is one bath towel allotted per person (not towels plural).
9. There is no desk in the room, only a circular table on the balcony which I don't think would be suitable for work.
10. There is no garden (there is a statement in the property description that guests can make the most of the garden).
- Celine (8/5): Very good - Extremely friendly and helpful staff
Really good breakfast
Best location. The view from the balcony was amazing. Lack of amenities.
There was even less furniture than advertised.
- Anze (6/5): Pleasant - It was close to the harbour, that's what I needed. The room was kinda dated but with AC, it's good for a day or two. When I came, there was nobody there. Some kind guests showed me the room I could stay at. I think the owner doesn't understand english.
- Ivanoski (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mery (8/5): Very good -
- Giada (8/5): Good value for money - The propriety is in the centre of Ubud. Breakfast is good and you can chose between omelette or banana pancake. Staff is gentle and fast. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work and the bathroom facilities are really old
- Jah (7/5): Good -
- Helen (8/5): I would return there happily! - Location was fabulous, staff friendly and helpful. Fantastic value for money. Breakfast reasonable. I stayed in two different rooms - in both the bathrooms could have been cleaner.
