Guest Reviews
- Fearie9 (8/5): - Lovely quiet villa. Sadly there was a fair bit of maintenance required to get this property up to a good standard, such as decking boards broken and lifted, stairs chipped and splinters hanging out. We were also disappointed in the lack of communication by staff. We found them to be very reserved. On trips on the free shuttle to coco mart, the driver didn’t say a word to us. Even when we started a conversation, maybe this was lack of English. I would strongly suggest finding your own driver if staying at this resort. We did and it made the experience so much more enjoyable. All in all our stay was ok and the private pool made it comfortable for us after long days exploring Ubud. However we would not return to this resort again.
- Julie (10/5): - This is a tranquil property, very quiet and private and with highly personalised service. Having been to Bali almost a dozen times, we were impressed at the outstanding level of attention by staff, especially Mr Wijaya, the manager, who went over and beyond the call of duty to help us. Food is very nice, they have a free afternoon tea every day and are very obliging with all questions and support. Highly recommended!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Just a great place to stay. Staff really know how to look after you. Clean and good food
- Rue (8/5): - The villa was amazing and located in at the end of the property. It was gated and had its own private pool together with an apartment that was outside. We had a one bedroom villa and the bed was massive. The shower was a walk in with a tub as well. The room is a bit tired but was still very clean and tidy. The staff at the villas were great at their job. We only ate at the on site restaurant one night and the food was okay. I would not say great. Our booking also included breakfast and on the first day this was buffet style with not much to choose from. The remaining days it was al a carte style and this was much better. The potion sizes are small so do not be afraid to ask for more if you have purchased the breakfast extra. The hotel has a shuttle that takes you to Ubud centre and this was all for free. All in all I’d recommend as it is very peaceful and a great place to relax while up in Ubud
- Muhammad (10/5): Great Stay - Great stay. Private pool is cleaned and water temperature is maintained well.
Ideal location for family to just relax together.
Location is quite isolated but it's not a big deal since room service price is quite reasonable and there plenty of food available for delivery.
- Verified traveler (6/5): nice private pool but everything needs maintenance - We stayed 3 nights in a pool villa.
Whilst the space is large, the actual bedroom is only normal hotel room size. The bed is huge and comfortable.
Having the private pool is lovely, the villa's are designed so they're not overlooked. However, the entire villa, pool area and especially the decking boards are desperately in need of maintenance. The photos on the website must be from years ago when everything was pristine, now it's looking very scruffy. Everything needs a coat of paint or varnish, the decking is curled up and nails and screws are sticking out so you catch your feet on them if you go barefoot. It's nice but certainly not luxurious. There were a few bugs but to be honest you have to expect that up country in Bali and we used our bug spray which easily dealt with them.
Breakfast in the restaurant is "a la carte", we had the "American breakfast" but parts of it were heavily flavoured with garlic, not what we wanted first thing in the morning. Coffee is Balanise coffee, not to our taste but you can order cappuccino's etc but they charge extra for those.
I did have a massage at the small spa, it was nice but they charge 3 times the price of the many spas in Ubud. Captive audience I guess.
We used the free shuttle into Ubud each day, it runs every couple of hours and this was very good to have as there is literally nothing adjacent to the hotel. It takes around 15 minutes to get into Ubud and we went there each evening to eat. There are numerous restaurants in the town
- Ian (10/5): - A fabulous hotel thoroughly recommended.
Set well away from the main road, 15 mins drive from Ubud, a peaceful haven amongst the rice fields.
Everything exactly as you would hope for from the condition of the rooms, pool and the incredibly welcoming and friendly staff throughout. The restaurant offers a mix of western and local but everything was cooked and presented to absolute perfection (a rare time it looks as good as the promo video!).
Everything you need available from the resort from regular convenient shuttles, car rental, tours etc.
Only thing I'd say and it isnt a reflection of the resort. If you do Mt Batur, do your research and perhaps do it your own way. Dont let that spoil the impression though. Great place
- LEE FU (10/5): Great Spot! - Good & relaxing location with very warm welcome services=)
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This property is near to padi field. Very seclusive & tranquality. For those who love to rest & relax this a good place. Staff are very good & friendly. They provide free shuttle service to nearby supermarket. To go to other areas you need to have yout own driver or can check with the front desk.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I like the Villa, its unique to any one I have stayed at before. The villa is essentially outdoors except for the Bedroom/Bathrooms. Kitchen and Living area is essentially open air. I did enjoy the privacy of the private pool. Beds were comfortable, and sheets were clean.
Staff was friendly and eager to help, but often I had a difficult time communicating with them. They gave us complimentary dry coffee and tea, but with no tea kettle. Only one pot was given to us. and no microwave.
- Chih-yu (10/5): Amazing - Excellent experience, hotel was amazing clean and tidy, food in restaurant was delicious and a lot staff I don’t have words! They where polit, helpful, smiley and lovely! Specially restau staff was mind blowing. Looking forward to come back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property requires maintenance including pool decking, handrails tied up with rope etc.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It’s quite far from the airport but if you just want to relax and staycation this will be good. there are still places you can go around ubud. 😊😊 the room is big and we love it. the staffs are very personal that they will tell you one by one what’s inside the room and what are the amenities in the resort 😅 hotel breakfast is also good. 😊 It’s just that the pillows are too soft and few english tv channel choices. Overall, it was a nice stay 😊
- Marissa (10/5): - We very much enjoyed our stay at Anulekha Resort and Villas! The staff was very accommodating; the hotel’s driver waited at the airport despite our flight being delayed 2 hours upon or arrival, they helped in giving recommendations/directions to main attractions (rice fields, waterfall, coffee plantation), coordinated our scooter rental, etc. Breakfast is free (and quite good) and they have a restaurant on site if you don’t feel like going into the main area for food. It is slightly difficult to navigate back to the resort in the evening on your own, so might suggest arranging a shuttle into the main area through the hotel. The hotel is located about 15-20 mins north of Ubud’s main shopping/eating area and about 20 mins south of the rice fields and waterfall attractions in Tengenaun. They will coordinate a shuttle drive for you, otherwise we rented a scooter for our stay and used that (although not an advised method of transportation for the uncoordinated). We really appreciated the staff and would highly recommend this hotel!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - If you are look for luxury experience and convenience to ubud downtown, this is not right place. But I would definitely recommend this place for those people who want peaceful staying with affordable price. Their spa & massage in the resort is really nice. And all the staff are really attentive! I spent really good time here!
- Suj (10/5): - Great staff and great service. Wish laundry charges were more reasonable..
- Verified traveler (10/5): Home away from home - In short, it was home away from home. Excellent 5 nights spent. Excellent hospitality. Excellent people working in the resort from the check in to restaurant to room service to check out. Not forgetting Alit the driver. Very chirpy, informative and goes beyond whatever he can do to help you.
Thank you Anulekha and Team.
We will definitely be back again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - An aged villa, friendly staffs, value for money.
After shower, the bathroom was flooded with water as there wasn't a shower screen. Air conditioning not functioning properly in most rooms.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Villa next to a paddy field - We stayed in Anulekha's 3-bedroom villa during our time in Ubud. The hotel is about 30-minute car ride from the Ubud's center. Transportation to and fro the center is provided free of charge by the hotel, which is a welcome. The property is located next to a paddy field. Unfortunately, the crop had not fully grown at the time so the view from the hotel appeared a bit dry. Although the villa was in need of a makeover, we found it quite cosy and clean. The bed was nice and firm to our liking. The highlight of the stay was probably the staff, who was always friendly and willing to help to cater our needs. The spa service was good with reasonable price. We had two sessions of massages during our stay because of that.
- Thi (8/5): - The private villa was amazing but the only downside was there was this very annoying sound that would go off in the morning/day time. Couldn’t identify what the sound was.
- Jen (6/5): - The hotel staff were really helpful. room comfort and breakfast were great, they prepared a cake for my partner during breakfast and it was wonderful! Although a bit disappointed how the hotel spa was not up to its promise - I paid for a deep muscle massage and green tea bath and I only received an aromatherapy massage (the masseuse did not even know how to do deep tissue), paid x2 of the price outside because we wanted for it to be extra special, but just received an OK treatment.
- Roxie (8/5): - Great friendly team.
Great shuttle service into town.
Organised a cake for me on my birthday at breakfast! Lovely people
- Fiona (10/5): Perfect getaway - Amazing hotel & Villa resort. Staff unbelievably friendly and helpful. Villa with private pool was fantstic, very private and spotlessly clean. Resort is a 15 min drive from centre of Ubud but free shuttle services available to and from centre throughout the day. Breakfast amazing and restaurant food exceptional. Everything just perfect
- Kitty (8/5): - The second time I have stayed there. Very helpful staff and clean rooms. Good meals. Very good value for money. Close enough to Ubud but quiet and private
- Benoit (8/5): - Ok
- Emma (10/5): Secluded hotel in Ubud - The hotel was amazing. I loved that it felt like a little hideaway in Ubud. The staff were very friendly. I loved how they offered activities daily like yoga, a dance class, and fruit carving. My only two points for room for improvement are the sizes of the French fries and the fish and chips, and more shuttle buses into Ubud. Other than that it was fantastic and 10/10 would recommend
- Lisa (10/5): - This is a beautiful hotel with amazing staff. I would highly recommend staying here. It is about 10mins from the downtown area, but they have free shuttles to and from the city centre. The breakfast was amazing and the atmosphere is very naturalistic and beautiful
- Michael (10/5): Very stylish hotel near Ubud - great facilities! - This is a lovely hotel just outside of Ubud centre, with great facilities especially an amazing pool area. Room was very good and bathroom was particularly nice (great bathtub). Restaurant was nice - a little expensive for dinner, but the quality was up there with some of the nicest we have had in a few months.
Breakfast is genuinely incredible - the choice was amazing, and we did not need lunch for our whole stay as a result of the amount of food on offer!!!
Staff were great - always helpful, always knew the answers to our questions. Shuttle service in to town was good - but expect long delays as the roads in Ubud are not fit for the number of cars travelling.
- keith (10/5): - The property is maintained well, and it was quite and pleasing stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice resort & villas but location.... - Loveliest staff, very friendly and helpful. Nice villa in good condition with great facilities. Could change villa roof too much noise from insects and geckos crawling around inside room. Spa is nice but overpriced but they had discounts making it reasonably affordable. Breakfast is great good portions. Restaurant food is ok could be better with more variety as well as vegetarian/vegan option. Not much to do at the resort but they have nice pool & garden plus free afternoon tea. Also free shuttle service to ubud Center which is useful as the hotel is located away from anything. Staff is great at helping to organise tours and transport. Lovely place away from the hustle and bustle. Good to relax and enjoy peace and quite.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent resort in the middle of rice fields with very polite and friendly staff. The check in and check out process was very smooth and the complimentary breakfast was also very good. We really enjoyed our stay at the resort
- Charm (10/5): Wonderful resort and great staff! - My stay at anulekha resort was fabulous! The grounds were always kept clean and the staff were always very diligent. Would definitely come back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic staff they will organise anything for you, very clean and quiet resort. Free shuttle bus into central ubud and if you can't go at their allocated times you can organise a taxi for a very cheap set price. Very comfortable stay and if you get breakfast included in your stay it is amazing! 4 course breakfast with coffee and a fresh juice!
- Alicia (10/5): Great spot! - Staff was absolutely amazing. Always ready to help plan your day for you. Very relaxed attitude and easy to talk to. Rented a scooter for the time that I was there and it was easy enough to get around to all the hot spots!
- Jewlz (10/5): Kiwi Maori Family - I booked online with Wotif, was nicely suprised on arrival to find our booking included complimentary breakfast, free shuttle into Ubud City and we were given a Villa not the cheapest room because of our discount also we were closer to town than first thought only a 5 min drive would definitely stay there again and recommend to
all my friends.
- sr (10/5): Great hotel - fantastic value for money - Great value for money
Friendly staff
Free shuttle buses into town
Decent sized private pool in villa
Clean room and facilities
- Helen (10/5): Such a beautiful, peaceful setting with great food - Booked this hotel to feel safe and have a relaxing break. I couldn't have picked better - and the food was great and staff so friendly.
- JH (10/5): Wonderful hotel with excellent staff! - From the moment we arrived to Anulekha to the moment we left, the staff was unconditionally welcoming, extremely kind and helpful. The restuarant staff and front desk especially were always smiling and willing to help in any way. The free shuttle bus service to ubud was wonderful and the staff worked diligently to make sure it was a smooth experience for all guests. the afternoon tea and snacks were a great treat to look forward to every day. the breakfast was decadent and tasted amazing each and every day. I always looked forward to having breakfast amongst the views of rice paddies. Though this hotel is located 15 min of a drive away from ubud city center, its very tranquil and calm. We enjoyed being away from all of the hustle in the city center but liked that we could go anytime we wanted to. Overall excellent staff and comfortable rooms, would reccomend to all visitors coming to ubud!
- mayank (10/5): The best stay ever - We stayed in anulekha resort and villa from 20th Feb -26th Feb 2017 in one room private villa. The rooms are really spacious with all the amenities like locker, bathrobe, hand towels, bath towels, tooth brush, paste etc. The pool was properly maintained. The cleaning staff cleaned the room everyday when we used to go for breakfast. We never had to ask them to do it. The breakfast had both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The whole resort is very well maintained. There is a lot of greenery around which makes it so peaceful. The resort staff is very friendly and understands all your needs. The resort also has a minibar and provides half day and full day tours on request (paid service). We had to leave early morning for our flight. The staff gave us a wake up call at 3 am and arranged breakfast box. We couldn't have asked for more. If ever we visit bali again, anulekha is where we are going to stay!
- H Y (10/5): Highly recommend - It is a great resort and it provided excelent services to customers.
- Yuliyati (10/5): Beautiful and cosy resort stay - Amazing stay, it was my second trip to Bali in the same year in 2016, and I have booked 3 deluxe rooms for our family. The rooms is nicely decorated (Balinese style) and spacious, the bathroom also come with bath tub. Breakfast is yummy, included in the hotel booking. In the afternoon around 4 or 5 pm, they are serving complimentary tea beside swimming pool, children was enjoying their swimming and we enjoyed our cup of tea / coffee with local snack.
- Eduard alexander (8/5): - We had enjoyed our stay, but the resort needs to be maintained, it starts to decay. Our private pool was dirty as the filter didnot work properly. Everything should have a nee paint, currently it looks very sad. Also staff couldnot handle the flow of guests at the property as there is no managemental structure, everybody seems to forget their duties. But overall it is family friendly resort and I would recommmend it.
- smit (10/5): Very quite and relaxing place - It was my first time in bali. But I was really surprised by the hospitality I received since day one. Every one was very helpful and all the request were listened. Great place very good staff. Keep up the good work anulekha. Till next time ;)
- christine (10/5): Excellent all around!! - Our room was very clean, staff were extremely helpful. They offered a FREE shuttle that takes you right into Ubud centre with a variety of times that drop you off and pick you up. breakfast options were amazing - my hubby and I looked forward to it everyday! They had scooters at the villa to rent out daily for a good price. They offered free snacks with coffee and tea daily from 4-6pm. The only downfall about anuleka was the Air conditioning could have been colder ! Otherwise I would 100% recommend this place :)
- Teena (10/5): Fabulous, relaxing, safe, clean retreat - The room was spotlessly clean and very welcoming and inviting. Everything about the hotel was welcoming, including the staff. If you are looking for a quiet, safe, relaxing holiday this is definitely the hotel for you. My husband and I had a very relaxing, enjoyable holiday.
The breakfast is excellent and offers a good choice. Enjoy it while you look over the rice fields.
The staff are very friendly. The onsite spa and yoga is very good also.
- Stefano (10/5): Oasis of peace and relax, in style - We spent 4 nights and 3 days, a married couple with two children age 10 and 8. We loved it. The villa was really spacious, clean and had a super pool. The breakfast was great and with good differentiation. the staff super helpful and always smiling. Maybe the menu could be a bit more varied, but there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Bali, plus the quality of the ingredients seemed really high. And the owner spends time with guests, chatting about his interesting life and Bali. Recommended!
- Wendy (8/5): Value for money Resort close to Ubud city - Great stay at anelekha resort! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The resort is like a hideout, a short 10mins drive away from the buzz of Ubud city. Breakfast is good, the ala carte restaurant menu too! (And very reasonably priced).
If you are looking for a resort close to Ubud city, this is for you.
- ryan (8/5): superb - nice and worthful
- Shuhan (8/5): Spacious and clean rooms; friendly staff - Enjoyed a wonderful week at their deluxe room.
Had a nice surprise birthday celebration for us during our romantic dinner.
Pros:
Spacious and clean rooms.
Friendly staff.
Complimentary pool-side tea break was nice.
The American breakfast option was good.
Cons:
Room is too warm during the day.
Limited timings for complimentary shuttle services.
- MUHAMAD HAFIZ (10/5): Value for money - Love this hotel
- rosanna (10/5): - Good service and nice staff, willing to help us check in at the middle of night
- Margaret k (10/5): Ubud resort hideway - The resort staff are all very helpful, although they don't have a great understanding of English, which has created some very amusing times.
The cooking class is excellent would highly recommend it.
We had numerous spa treatments and the massages were the best I've ever had.
Even though the resort is 15minutes out of Ubud it was a treat to stay here, will surely be back again.
- Willster (10/5): The most quiet and peaceful stay - A great boutique hotel just off the beaten path. The most quiet location nestled away on the outskirts of Ubud backing onto working rice patties. With a great reataurant and room service. The hotel offers a handful of walking/cycling tours, cooking classes and many excursions throughout Bali. Just a quick 10 minute scooter ride will get you into the heart of Ubud and the Sacred Monkey Forrest. I absolutely would reccomend this hotel.
- Annette (10/5): A Hidden Gem - I so enjoyed my 5 days at Anulekha and I will return at the first opportunity. Truly an oasis haven hidden just outside delightful Ubud.A perfect location for all one wishes to do in Bali. A hidden gem
- Jeremy (10/5): Great value in quiet location - Only stayed one night but all the staff were amazing. The rooms are beautiful and they put on free food, tea & coffee by the pool in the afternoons. Free shuttle bus in & out of Ubud (about 10 min away). Really nice breakfast with views of the rice fields. Would definitely stay again.
- Stacey and Jess (10/5): Perfect getaway in quiet surroundings - There really isn't anything that I could say badly about this hotel that isn't nitpicking. The staff were approachable, friendly, spoke excellent English and were always happy to assist. The breakfast in the morning was amazing. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had really great air conditioning. The bath was huge and so nice to relax in, and they even include bath salts so you can soak. They have a friendly hotel cat named Fritzy who is adorable. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants to actually relax away from the busy streets. Getting to and from Ubud is super easy, too, with a shuttle from the hotel three times a day. You won't regret booking this place!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel next to rice fields - Hotel located next to rice fields and not in the centre of Ubud. It's possible to go for a stroll in the village near by.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful resort in Ubud - My whole family enjoyed our stay so much, we would never think about staying anywhere else...Resort staff were amazing too!!
- catherine (8/5): Pleasant stay - hotel location not far to several tourist sites, hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast excellent but the same menu everyday. Stayed in 3 bedroom villas with the master bedroom toilet - roof partially exposed, thus many insect during this raining season. The other 2 bedrooms toilet are ok. Electric mosquito repellent provided for all bedrooms - so no bites at all. Discount for the hotel spa is great.
- Shelley (10/5): Paradise - I can't recommend this hotel enough. We stayed in a villa for a week and I just can't fault it. The room was beautiful and comfy, the staff were lovely and always so helpful and the included breakfast was divine! We ate at the restaurant nearly every night and the food was delicious. The massages were wonderful also. Our villa was huuuuge and so beautiful and always clean. I could go on forever about how much I love the Anulekha resort and will be recommending it to everyone I know.
- selina (6/5): Nice hotel. - A bit far from the central but it you're looking for peaceful and quite environment then you won't regret it.
- Su Min (8/5): Thumb up for the service - service very good. Location wise is very poor.
- Marina (10/5): Essence of the country side - You could catch a wonderful sun rise at the lobby overlooking the padi fields. I love the place as its soothing and calming. Anulekha captures the essence of the countryside of bali.
- Selvan (10/5): - We had a great time thank you
- Laura (10/5): Hidden gem with the REAL Bali feel - The only way I know how to describe our stay at the Anulekha is that it was simply amazing. I can't put into words what a wonderful experience we had while staying there. The resort is beautiful and overlooks natural rice paddy fields. It's tucked away outside of the hustle and bustle of Ubud and really gives you a sense of what Bali is supposed to be like... think Eat, Pray, Love. We had a one bedroom villa, which was really a three bedroom villa that they just locked the other two rooms up in. It had a private pool, outdoor spa area, air conditioned room, and open air living area. It was beautiful. We just got to Kuta today and we are already wish we could go back to Anulekha! The breakfast was also fantastic and the lunch we ordered in one day was delicious. If you are looking for the real Bali experience for a great price, this is the place to go. The staff are wonderfully friendly and attentive and go above and beyond to make sure that you are having the best experience you can. And they will remember your name (which says a lot in my book!). I never write reviews for places but I can't imagine not writing it for them, as it is the very least I can do to repay them for their kindness and 3 days of my life I will never forget!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - There was a string stench from the bathroom.
- helen (8/5): Great hotel just out of Ubud. - Great boutique hotel in rice fields, rooms large and spacious. Pool could use a few more deck chairs which is my only issue but if your up before 9, you can get a chair. Friendly hotel staff who helped our every need including when we broke our safe and they had to drill it open. Would definitely come back here
- Verified traveler (10/5): nice n comfortable - a good hideaway place. about 15mins drive from ubud. quite n peaceful. will come again.
- Kristiina (8/5): Lovely stay with delicious breakfast - Had a really nice stay. Service is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, a´la carte style, 3 courses with fresh juices and local coffee. Just a 15 min drive from the Ubud centre, depending on a traffic.
- pei xi (8/5): Comfortable stay! - The service is excellent. Room is big and comfortable. Breakfast is good! Just a small point to note, there is only one mirror in the whole hotel room. so it may not be very convenient for ladies to do their makeup! but the overall is great!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect Boutique Resort - Stayed for 4 nights, this is a great place to relax and unwind. Many times we were the only ones in the pool. The free afternoon tea is great and everything is well priced.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Paradise in the ricepaddies - Resort is located in a very isolated part of Ubud- which is great, because traffic and tourists are intense in the rest of Bali. Staff was superior and arranged an eco bike tour to the volcano, yoga, massage, and a cooking class with the hotel chef. It was the best, and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely return!!
- Angela (10/5): our bali home - So glad we chose to stay here for our first trip to Bali. Yes it is a little out of the way but that adds to its quiet charm. Enjoyed the restaurant with great selection and friendly attentive staff. Included breakfast was substantial and delicious. Spa treatments reasonably priced and very relaxing. Highlight for me was cooking lesson with the resort chef Budi which included a trip to the local market.
Upgrade to a private pool suite - you wont regret it!
- SHANNON (8/5): Ubud experience - The nice and hospitable staff made my stay at Anulekha very enjoyable :) Definitely recommended!
- Anne (10/5): Fabulous hotel 10 mins from Ubud. - We had a 3 bedroom villa which was great. Kitchenette, dining table and lounge suite downstairs by the pool. There are a few little things which could improve the place such as a laundry bag and list in every bedroom. A sponge and tea towel to wash and dry dishes. A collection of DVD's to hire as there were 4 players in the villa. The spa, restaurant, and staff were fabulous. There is a shuttle into Ubud x 3 daily, or outside of these times, the hotel charged $7. The kitchen staff took extra care to look after my friends food allergies. We all loved the Anulekha.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Zen Getaway - The villa was very quiet and clean. The staff was hospitable and friendly, and the amenities and services provided at the villa was good.
- John (8/5): Nice place. - We had a relaxing stay at Anulekha. Very comfortable Villa with great service. A little far away from Ubud but very quiet and serene.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Hotel with wonderful staff. Best of Bali! - We had a great time here. The staff was wonderful and the room (we booked a villa with private pool) was clean and very relaxing. The hotel also booked a driver for us to take everywhere from the monkey forest to the silver shops and the experience was fantastic. The food was also great! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
- Michael G. (6/5): Location 30-Minutes Drive to Town - The reception staff are warm and friendly. Room #802 clean. In-room Wi-fi good. 2 complimentray bottles of water. Pillows too hard & uncomfortable. Breakfast is good but portions are small (1 slice of bacon with eggs). Limited free shuttle to town (10:00 am and 4:00 p.m). Pick-up from town: 10:25 a.m., and 4:00 p.m. only. Otherwise you pay USD$7.00 for shuttle drop-off and pickup.
- lee hooi (8/5): Enjoyable stay in a scenic neighborhood - Thanks to all the helpful staffs we met during our stays. Their services deserve a 5 stars.
- Sri (10/5): - Service: Good, Friendly, Courteous; Cleanliness: Spotless;
- Amy (8/5): - Service: Professional, Friendly, Courteous;
- Verified traveler (10/5): Premium quality - For a little more money by Bali standards this is a premium hotel that is worth the extra $. They offer a free and reliable shuttle service to Ubud centre and staff were very helpful with setting us up with a private tour.
We did have a little trouble getting there as it is down a small road off the main road that the address states. Best to contact the hotel for directions or see if they can arrange for a pick up for you.
- linda (10/5): - Facilities: Outstanding; Value: Amazing; Service: Flawless; Cleanliness: Spotless;
the shuttle bus was excellent and always accessible when needed.

- Maree (10/5): Lovely small hotel - Stayed 7 nights with my husband in a private pool villa. Gorgeous bedroom, huge bathtub, great size private pool. The staff here are awesome and should be congratulated on their friendliness and willingness to go the extra mile. Very comfy bed, nice toiletries, room attended to promptly and efficiently. Were offered a complimentary 3 course meal as we stayed 7 nights. Handy shuttle service to Ubud available (15 mins away) or a driver will take you at any hour for a small fee. Overall a great place to stay, would highly recommend.
- Szymon (10/5): Comfy hotel - Great
- Andy (8/5): Great hotel! Maybe not for everyone... - My girlfriend and I liked the hotel, but it didn't meet up to our expectations.
It's a little far from the center of Ubud, and although the resort does offer a shuttle service, you cannot rely on the drivers to pick you up on time. The driver was supposed to pick us up at 10pm one night, but nobody came.
We tried using their laundry service, which was very quick and very reasonably priced. However, when I got my white suit shirt back, it had bright green stains on the front and on the collar. I brought this to their attention and they had it cleaned again ready for the following evening.
The room didn't have a safe which made me feel very uncomfortable. The room also had a funky smell coming from the bathroom which is probably why the resort supplies every room with an air freshener.
Now the positives. The staff were incredibly friendly and were always ready to help. They helped us organise multiple excursions which was great. But regardless of how good the staff were, the hotel just wasn't for us.
- solo traveller (10/5): Wonderful Hotel! - I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful hotel. The staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble! There is a free shuttle to Ubud, or the staff will organize a driver for you. Lovely views over fields from the restaurant. Lovely pool. I was upgraded to an amazing villa, with it's own pool!
Decor is beautiful. There is a spa, I had a wonderful massage.
I did a cooking class at the hotel with Ketut, which included a local market visit.
I I would definitely recommend Anulekha as a great place to stay!
- prema (8/5): A hotel by the village - I found the surrounding quiet and peaceful with a nice view especially during sunrise. Though it's a 15minute ride by car to the heart of ubud, the shuttle service is convenient and so are taxis. The staff take every effort to address your queries. Also, my son particularly enjoyed being served breakfast in the room. If you would like to be near the nightlife, this may not be a suitable location.
- Felipe (8/5): Good place to relax - The hotel is located 20min far from Ubud downtown, but it's easy to get there. The room are clean and good space.
- oilmanlkr (8/5): Definitely Ubud - The Anulekha Resort sits on the outskirts of Ubud yet is a comfortable modern place to stay. The hotel is new and will require significant maintenance to maintain a high standard. There are private villas inside the main resort complex providing more privacy when traveling with larger groups. We were a party of 5 adults, 2 children and found our stay most satisfactory.
- Sara (10/5): Friendly service - Very helpful staff, nice homely feeling and cosy surroundings in resort.
- Alex (10/5): Beautiful hotel. Excellent staff. Highly recommend - We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and were very spoiled. Fantastic staff and great food. Location is a little far out of town but everything else is perfect.
- LHT (10/5): Good breakfast, friendly staff, beautiful view - Although I would not like to share this nice place, I have to say it is really good with everything. Friendly staffs always make you good day ahead. Whenever you see them, they are smile. That is fantastic. The breakfast is awesome, especially we love the Nasi Goreong. It is very peaceful when you sitting outdoor with wind and having your breakfast. I will definitely come again. BTW thanks for the orange juice and your good service EKA.
- Sharlene (10/5): - Facilities: Above average; Value: Great deal; Service: Go the extra mile, Outstanding; Cleanliness: Spotless, Beautiful;
Beautiful villas, wonderful friendly staff
- Parik (8/5): A little away but good. - First the cons,, 1.A little far (15 min drive) from the heart of ubud which is kinda made up with the frequent free shuttle from the resort. 2. Air-conditioning is a bit poor particularly in the upper rooms and the villa rooms. It's a new hotel and they are yet to get over the knick knacks, I guess.
Pros: though away from ubud, it's beautifully located in the rural area amongst lush green farms. If you are the type who wants to stay away from crowds, this is a good option. The highlight of the resort is the staff in tune with the renowned balinese hospitality. Breakfast was good though limited for us as we are vegetarian. Deluxe Room is fine for a couple but bathroom fittings need a look in.
Their spa is still not ready and they have converted one of the upper deluxe rooms into one which is a big let down.
Summarising, I might go for 3.5 but due the hospitality, shall go for 4.
- Amber (10/5): - Facilities: Top of the line; Value: Fantastic; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Spotless;
You will not be dissapoint. Definately get the villas! This is by far the best hotel i have stayed at in bali. I will be back!
- Louise (10/5): - Facilities: Brand new; Value: Fantastic; Service: Flawless; Cleanliness: Beautiful;
