Guest Reviews
- Carol (6/5): - The property looks nice and clean. However the pool was not open and there is No alcohol at the bar even though they advertise cocktails on their website.
- RICHMAN (8/5): hotel yg romantis - lokasi hotel yg sangat strategis , dekat kemana2 , suasana tenang , view yg bagus , staff yg ramah special MR OWEN very helpfull .
- Verified traveler (4/5): Will never stay there again - Room was not ready 2 hours past checked in time. Hotel staff were not helpful. Room was not clean and so not comfortable. We stayed at this hotel cause it said it has a five star. This hotel should not have that rating at all. Very disappointing and will not recommend it at all.
- Carry (2/5): hotel room was dirty not well maintain - not a place for family vacation.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
- Dmitri (8/5): Good hotel for a layover - We stopped in Sintesa for a night on our way to Bunaken.
The hotel is located conviniently near to the harbour, just 5-10min taxi and is a good point for a layover for further journey.
We booked the basic room which was clean even though somewhat worn as was the rest of the hotel. The staff was attentative and reaponded quickly to few extra requests we made (bathrobe etc). We did not use ths pool are but it looked fairly nice and had we more time, would have liked to go for a swim there.
Food was ok (roomservice menu has a decent range but takes time to prepare) and breakfast had a big range to choose from.
Overall its def. a good value if you need to stay somewhere central as part of your journey.
- Cinta (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel in a good part of town. Close to the mall and other shopping locations. Close to the Beach. Great staff.
- Karel Turang (10/5): Our stay at Sintesa Manado - The Peninsula is well located, beautiful surrounds, walking distance to centre of Manado. The staff were good, the breakfast very good and excellent lounges and well appointed bar area. The room was of generous size but water not warm. The pool and outside area was enjoyable.
- Himanshu (4/5): Please don't book this its not good for cleaning p - Hi i book suit but i think they never clean many months bed sheets and beds lights almost black and washroom water tap v old no easy to use and carpet was super dirty so many marks thanks
- Lonny (10/5): Amazing View of High Floor Room - Stay for 2 nights, and enjoy it.
Room was spacious, bathroom is big but without bathup.
The view from high floor room was amazing, with balcony, You can see hills surrounding Manado City and Ocean in front of Your room.
- Carol (8/5): Friendly staff and comfy big room - Rooms were good size, though especially in bathroom needs a big of a face lift, not an issue to much though.
Sheets did have a couple of dirty marks on them which you don't expect in a good hotel.
Food was good, usual availability for Manado. Breakfast was good also but not nearly as much choice as other similar priced hotels and the second morning the staff were a bit slow to refill the bread products were all almost empty and milk was empty and when I asked warm milk was brought.
I would stay again, but I think for the same cost there are other options slightly better and closer to more shops.
- Darmadi (8/5): A Four Star hotel, not Five - This hotel was built on previously hospital.
It is in a hill by itself, so guest will need taxi just to get anywhere, but ez and plentiful. Not much really to say, other than an appropriate for a 4 stars hotel not 5.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Better than the rest. - Very nice hotel with great staff. We have stayed in competitor top end hotels in Manado and this is so much better. The staff are cheerful and well trained and efficient. The hotel is clean and well run and the pool large and usually empty.
Would recommend.
- lambertus (8/5): homehotel - I Always stay for one or two nights for relaxing and to make plans for a new trip. The room is clean and a lot of space wich i like, breakfast has a lot of choises of different food.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice views of manado - Stayed in the corner suite, beautiful big rooms, super comfy bed, amazing sea views TV signal was a bit fuzzy, we had our own modem in the room for super fast broadband. Ants in room (not many). Top buffet breakfast but lunch/dinner menu is overpriced. Would stay again. Staff helpful and friendly. Go to top floor to see amazing views of manado and the bay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Needs Maintenance and better housekeeping - The room was spacious and provided an excellent view over the Manado Bay. But that's where the promise ended. The rooms are poorly maintained, carpets stained, beds creak and housekeeping department needs a crash course in cleanliness and maintenance. Each day I complained about the lack of hot water - a flaw that the maintenance crew was never able to sort. The crew came in and opened all taps (2 washbasins, 1 tub & a shower) and let the water run for 25 minutes. We then had barely luke warm water. "Open taps 15 minutes before use", was the advise given to me. So much for water conservation! Housekeeping department probably suffered from poor vision as parts of the room seemed untouched by human hand - empty bottles, used cutlery and dustbins were neither cleaned nor cleared. Breakfast room was large and airy and while staff were polite and courteous, they had not been trained to do anything except to smile and wave you to your seat. The breakfast buffet flattered to deceive. If you did not savor Indonesian food there was little on offer except for fruit, some rolls, cereal and eggs made by a chef who was probably on his first day at work. The cheese omelet had large chunks of unmelted cheese and the end product looked as if a dozen highspeed F1 cars had just run over my meal. Not a pleasant experience; front office took an eternity to process the bill and the 'goodbye sir and have a good trip' greeting by the concierge were the most pleasant words that I heard in 4 days.
- Pat (6/5): Layover before destination - We stayed at this hotel overnight as we ultimately were on our way to Bunaken Island for a scuba diving vacation. The hotel was more or less conveniently located to the airport and the harbor. Get a metered cab from the airport if you can as opposed to the 50 cabs that will be all over you at the airport trying to charge you $100,000 rupiah (about $9) to bring you there but you only really save $4 to $5 by doing this. Manado is not the prettyist place in the world so the neighborhood around the hotel is what it is and the included breakfast buffet is very good.
