• Kristen (8/5): - Landscapers all day long with loud leaf blowers & wood chipper. They blew dirt through bathroom windows all over toilet & floor & were leaf blowing before 9am & through checkout (at one point right outside our door & we had to ask them to stop.

Room was a nice size and bed was comfortable, but there was no sofa and the 2 chairs were incredibly uncomfortable. Tiny glasses, no coffeemaker/ice/microwave. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room could only be accessed by >20 steps -- a far walk and very difficult to navigate with luggage. Area was quiet. Continental breakfast was limited and unchanging every day. For the price, we expected more all around.

She helped us with some booking issues we had, and she was such a sweet lady! The rooms were spacious and clean, we had everything we need, AC was very quiet, the whole atmosphere was great! The view from our room was amazing- we were looking over the pond.

• Htamember (2/5): Restaurant closed, not honoring restaurant gift certificate certificates smh - As a long time beloved local establishment in my town, the Cooney had a great restaurant attached to it called Eli’sTavern-well, two days ago out of nowhere. They told everyone they were closing and did not honor people’s gift certificates for refunds that they sold them recently. Well, Staff all walked out after that(I don’t blame them) Buyer beware it used to be a beautiful property, but this new company has not done well with it ,unfortunately. Beware if you are staying here, there is no bar or lounge any longer. Also, if you want to have a function, there’s plenty of other function spaces in Falmouth

• robmQ4353UY (10/5): Great option for dog-friendly hotel rooms and event space - The Coonamessett is a great option for dog-friendly hotel rooms or medium-to-large event spaces. We rented the Double Queen Suite for a weekend for our bride and groom’s suite, as it was extremely well-lit and spacious enough for my eight groomsmen to get ready with me. It was a little surprising that a room with such a large common space would have two queen beds instead of a king bed, though. The staff, including housekeeping, did a great job making us feel like guests of honor all weekend long, with a bride and groom welcome setup and several refreshes of the room while we were away. We were also able to book one of the dog-friendly rooms at the last minute, in which my mom stayed with our dog. There was lots of green space on and off the property for our dog to explore on walks. The Coonamessett also hosted our morning-after-the-wedding buffet breakfast, which we coordinated through their special events team five months before the wedding. The food was pretty good, nothing special, but was a little on the pricier side (to be expected for a wedding-related event). Since they weren’t hosting a wedding on-site that weekend, we were able to use the entire ballroom space. A couple hotel guests wandered in and grabbed a plate before we informed them it was a private event. The Coonamessett even opened the bar for our guests (my niece and nephew said the espresso martinis were good!).

• Danielle (5/5): It was just odd! we have renamed it the Coonamessett Ranch. - Location There were very little comforts in the room. No hooks, no shelves, closet had a fridge in it. We had to use a chair in the bathroom to place our toiletries. The televisions we not close to the couch or bed (odd). The mattress was lumpy and the chair were so bad they were hilarious.

Wish the pillows had been feather and that the duvet is a bit more plush. No coffee machine in the room which I would have expected for the price. Complaint I have is that there is a lot of street noise given it is on a busy street. There is also lots of noise from neighboring rooms. Walls are paper thin. Continental breakfast was basic, but OK.

We had gotten a room through bookings and were immediately upgraded, but the upgraded room was sparse, cold and not comfortable. We appreciated the fact that it didn’t take as long to get to the room.

• Tara (7/5): It’s fine. - We had a two bedroom suite (No. 19), which was very spacious, and felt very private, being situated in its own building. Plenty of towels, and the toiletries in the bathroom were high quality. Hotel staff unfailingly friendly, helpful and lovely. The Main Street with cute shops and restaurants is technically walking distance (15ish minutes or so) but easy to just drive the two minutes and park there when it’s chilly. The cold continental+ breakfast has good options; coffee and tea (with to-go cups available if you ask), hard boiled eggs, quiche bites, savory and sweet pastries, bagels with peanut butter, butter, jelly and cream cheese, fresh fruit, overnight oats, Greek yogurt and toppings like granola. Having a refrigerator in the room is nice. Bed was comfortable. Very clean. Robes in the closet. Nice fireplace in the lobby. This property just isn’t up to the same Lark Hotels standard as the others we’ve stayed at. Lots of tired details that could be freshened up. Most of the cute decor details in the photos on the website don’t exist in real life, just staging for the photos I guess. Extremely bare bones, nowhere close to a boutique hotel feel. No coffee or tea facilities in the suite, which is really not cool at all at this price point. One of the selling points was the free bikes; we visited Oct. 24-27; they were there Friday and Saturday; but when we went to use them Sunday morning we were told they had locked them up for the season that day. Why? On a weekend? Just arbitrarily? Very weird especially as the weather was gorgeous. I assume there are outdoor sitting areas in the summer; everything was locked up when we were there (again, seems arbitrary, def not weather-dependent given the beautiful weather we had). We didn’t eat at Eli’s, but the space is very dark and old-school, kind of gross carpet. The bar closes weirdly early at 9 pm on weekends. Bottom line, this place is fine, good in most respects even, but doesn’t live up to the Lark brand and what it sells itself as, which is a fun, modern and cool boutique stay with unique guest amenities.
• Ann-Kathrine (9/5): Nice and spacious - We were met by the most friendly personnel, got an upgrade to a nice and large room. The bed was very comfortable. The accommodation is within walking distance of a cute little shopping street with small stores and restaurants. The ventilation was very noisy

• Andrea (7/5): Good location no attention to detail which would have made a much more enjoyable stay. - Our suite was spacious and comfortable with good views. Bar staff were very good and helpful. No tea or coffee making facilities despite being listed. On checking staff said the hotel had removed these from every room three years ago and consistently informed Booking.com Breakfast was not good. No choices of breads as elsewhere during our stay in US, just bagels. We went into Falmouth on our last day rather than sit in the gloomy breakfast area.
• Lynn (6/5): Not As Nice As The Pics - Room was recently redecorated and very comfy. However, it was located at the bottom of a hill and the path was steep and bumpy. Also had no lighting. Overall the property is pretty, but restaurant and lobby are dated.

• Michael (7/5): Vacation. - Very good food in Tavern as well as breakfast was delicious. Beds very comfortable. We liked the small touch of having wines glasses in the room. The chocolate covered strawberries yum.. and the charcuterie board well done, especially the cranberry cheese. The soaps and shampoo they provided in room smelled great. Did I say comfy bed.. yes lol. Grounds were kept clean. Somewhat of an musty odor and/or the scent they used in the halls or room were a little overpowering. The deck outside needs some tlc like new patio sets, deck needs re-stained and maybe new and better lighting. but great view of the lake and nice place to sit in the fall weather. Not as pictured but it was the fall so I'm sure they switched things up.

• TheEngineer2025 (6/5): Charming rooms, positive wedding experience, price not necessarily in alignment with product - We recently stayed onsite for a wedding weekend, and the ceremony and reception were also held at the property. Our three star review indicates a mix of positive aspects and areas for improvement. We would certainly return to this property for a wedding-type event in the future. There are some strong positives on the property. We stayed in a room in the "Village" which is separate but adjoining the main building on property. From the outside, the building looks tired. But the inside revealed a charming, recently renovated, and tastefully done guestroom. The space was clean and inviting. The bed, mattress, and linens were in excellent condition. There is no central air conditioning; however, the window air conditioning unit in the main bedroom was quiet and sufficient for our September stay. We had some reservations about this property due to previous reviews about must, mildew, and mold smells. We encountered NOTHING like this in our room in the village and we encourage others to be skeptical of those strong negative reviews, which we suspect are dated and were made prior to the renovations. There are some areas for improvement for this Property. For all the charming renovation in the "Village," and it really was lovely, the walls between guest rooms are poorly insulated for sound. We could hear the bathroom fan running all night in one room, and, perhaps most importantly we regularly could hear conversations, cellphone rings and beeps, etc. in the bedroom immediately adjacent to us. This is perhaps the biggest drawback to the Village area of the property. We had a good experience at the wedding reception. Facilities were ample and the food was good. Staff at the wedding were excellent--very good service. I would say overall the bride and groom were well-served by hosting their reception here. We had a mixed experience at the onsite bar the night before the wedding; the bartender attempted to pass of day-or-two opened room-temperature stored red wine as freshly opened; however after some back and forth she did accommodate by opening a new bottle. The spirit of service wasn't fully there on that one but the situation was resolved amicably. We had to make a couple itinerary tweaks prior to our arrival. Front desk / management staff were highly responsive and very accommodating, so kudos there. One last note. At about $499 per night prior to tax on a wedding-block booking, the price felt too steep for the experience. We'd pay it again for the convenience on a wedding weekend, but all other things being equal this is really felt like more of a $300 - $350 per night property.

• Melanie (9/5): Overall we needed somewhere close/comfortable to the MV ferry. So ideal location but a bit pricey - The beds were extremely comfortable and staff were friendly during check in/check out. The air conditioning worked perfectly for the warmer days/nights. The staircase to our room was a bit narrow so carrying our heavy luggage up and down was a bit hectic. Premises were okay but views were mostly of the parking lot (which I had expected from google images I suppose).

Ground floor rooms for single female travelers, and all windows in both of our rooms were unlocked. 3 adult males were loitering in the parking lot drinking alcohol after 10:00 pm. • joonl164 (10/5): Quiet and nice getaway - Couple from Boston(1.5hrs away), stopped by on a weekday in August. A typical New England Inn with 27 rooms. Very tidy , clean and picturesque. Despite being at an intersection, it was very quiet. Good sized room with a separate bedroom. Interior has elements of modern with old NE style. Charming. Courteous staff. Complementary continental breakfast is very fresh with plenty of healthy choices. Some have pointed the lack of coffee machine but this was not a big issue for us, as the continental breakfast more than made up(coffee served). Location it is fantastic. Only 1.2miles from beach (excellent AM running course). Close to shops and restaurants. Room keys are the traditional metal keys, not plastic wipe card. Been a while since seen that.

We had a village suite -- the sitting room had a pervasive, musty smell. Not pleasant. I suggest better lighting, signage and directions to stairway to the set of village suites descending to pond. Very difficult to determine how to safely walk around and through building. Signage poor, and unlit.

The properties room buildings are quite unattractive but there is plenty of parking. The Tavern looks nice but was closed upon my late arrive. FYI, No one is on staff at the Inn after 8pm ! Late arrival was facilitated with a helpful instruction phone call, the keys and a room location map in a envelope hanging on the entry foyer wall...

• Culture558509 (4/5): Disappointing Stay at a Premium Price - Disappointing Stay at Premium Prices We recently stayed at the Coonamessett Hotel in Falmouth, MA and were extremely disappointed given the $500-per-night rate. While the staff were consistently professional and polite — the one bright spot of our stay — the physical condition and amenities of the hotel fell far below expectations. The room felt unfinished and uncomfortable. Furniture was sparse and appeared to be secondhand, lacking the quality and cohesion one would expect at this price point. With a room with a living space and bedroom, there was no desk and chair and the lighting was haphazard and disconnected. There was no chair in the bedroom space. Overall, it looked like it was furnished from garage sales. Basic comforts were also missing: there was no coffee maker in the room, and access to coffee in the lobby or restaurant wasn’t available until 7:30 AM — the doors were locked until then. For early risers, this was a frustrating and avoidable oversight. The hotel sits beside a small lake, but surprisingly, there is no outdoor seating provided to enjoy the setting. The grounds overall feel neglected, with little effort made to create relaxing outdoor spaces. In short, the Coonamessett charges premium rates but delivers a bare-bones experience. With investment in physical facilities, it could be a much better place to stay — but as it stands, it’s not worth the premium.

• Tuckernuckman (10/5): Definitely a top 10 on the cape. - Very clean and well decorated the suite was large enough to stretch out in and had a very homey feel. This is a high end place where you get your money’s worth in every way.
• Angela (10/5): We had a great time, an amazing breakfast and loved the bikes offered to the clients. - It was very clean and the room we had was very spacious. It was a really pretty room. Our room was facing a parking lot and had no place to sit outside and have a coffee or read a book. However there was a sitting area by the main office entrance. Would have been nice to have more seating areas on the green grass area.

As noted in other reviews, the AC is an in-window unit but worked very well. The included continental breakfast was very nice. All in, good value especially in peak season on the Cape.

Loved the pillows ,wish I could have stuffed one in my suitcase but it was already filled with one I brought with me. Went there for a Celebration of Life which they also handled beautifully.
