• Jacqueline (10/5): Awesome lodge with everything you could hope for! - We loved the Alex Lodge - and hope to return next year. Everything exceeded our expectations: the well designed apartment with outstanding views of the Matterhorn; the fully furnished kitchen with attention to details; the spa facilities with steam room and sauna; the morning delivery of bread; the starter kit on our first day (milk, water and juice); and the warm welcome and service of our host Pamela who accommodated our needs. We have booked many self-catering ski apartments over the past 20 years - and Alex Lodge is by far our favourite. I can not recommend Alex Lodge enough. You must go!
• Stefan (10/5): Alex Lodge was an unforgettable stay. Highly recommend. - Pamela was an incredible host. She was very friendly, very communicative, and was always quick to answer any questions we had. We had fresh bread every morning, delivered to our front doorstep. The facilities were excellent. The apartment was very cozy and the kitchen was fully equipped. The balcony looks out onto the Matterhorn, and the skylights in the bedrooms also had great views. Each bedroom was equipped with a private bathroom (2 had showers, 2 had bathtubs). The spa was super relaxing after a day of skiing and was always well stocked with towels and water. It had a whirlpool tub, a sauna, and a steam room. Pamela gave us a ride to and from the train station which was incredibly convenient as it would have been a far walk with our luggage. The location was very near a bus stop which made getting to/from the town/gondola very easy. It was also within walking distance of the Matterhorn express gondola (~10 minutes) but this is not such an easy walk with skiis so I would recommend taking the frequent buses. The apartment also had an indoor ski room so boots and skiis were also safe and warm over night. I would recommend this location incredibly highly. It was an incredible experience and made our stay in Zermatt even more special! Thanks Pamela and Alex!

It was a bit of a walk to town (10 mins or so), but that wasn’t really a problem for us (unless you’re in a rush somewhere) - and meant that we were actually in a quieter part of Zermatt.

It was great to have a group of 7 and everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The lodge was spotlessly clean. The views were amazing! Pamela is a fantastic host, from being picked up promptly at the train station to bread the first morning to being taken back to the train station for our departure everything was fantastic! I truly hope to return to spend more time in beautiful Zermatt and I will definitely stay at the Alex Lodge! It is a short walk to town and the area by the lodge has wonderful restaurants. Nothing

• Dr. (10/5): Alex Lodge spoiled us so much it will be difficult for us to ever stay anyplace else in Zermatt. - The view of the Matterhorn from our living room area and deck was incredible. Having a real wood burning fireplace was a special treat. Apartment was impeccably clean and felt inviting like home. Kitchen was well equipped including a state of the art dishwasher. Heated floors.!!! Being warmly greeted by the owner made us feel like VIPs. Spa steam room and sauna were spotless and wonderful. Massages were amazing and very reasonably priced. Extra unexpected touches like the basket of fresh bread our first morning and a refrigerator stocked with some basics was so thoughtful. Highly recommended.
• David (10/5): Absolutely first class. - Superbly appointed, every thing we needed except a fondue set but the lovely host, Pamela brought us one as soon as we asked. Amazing view of the Matterhorn. Pamela met us at the station and all our bags were taken into the apartment, she then came to pick us up in town later at the check in time. The same when we left, nothing was too muck trouble. We had fresh bread & croissants delivered to our door everyday, complimentary. The apartment was cleaned and fresh bedding twice during the week. An absolute 5 star experience. The weather machine broke down and 2 days were cloudy! The beds were too comfy so we didn’t want to get up in the morning!!

• M (10/5): Dreamy stay in Zermatt - This four bedroom apartment could not have been nicer. The rooms each have their own bathroom. The kitchen and living room are so nice and comfortable. The view of the Matterhorn is impossible to beat.

We appreciated having a full kitchen to prepare meals and enjoyed the views of the Matterhorn from the balconies. The hosts are so nice and Pamela even picked us up at the train station when we arrived and then took us back at the end of our trip. The photos of the property and rooms are gorgeous and the place is even more lovely and luxurious in person.

From the pick up from the train station to the check in was so smooth. The owner personally met us to help with the check in which was incredible. The apartment was spacious and very clean and fully equipped with everything we could ask for. Daily we were delivered complimentary fresh bread baskets which were an amazing treat. The location of the lodge was great as we had a clear view of Mount Matterhorn. Will definitely recommend anyone visiting Zermatt to book this lodge.
