There was an issue with a leaking A/C in the room which was fixed promptly. Nice to have access to a pool but unfortunetly the pool bar and surrounding area was undergoing refurbishments. Would definitley recommend staying here if you are visiting Pune!
- Sunil (2/5): - Stayed here for 5 nights. Poor hotel with hygiene issues - I found cockroaches inside my room and black mold in the showerhead . A couple of towels had yellow stains. The gym was not functioning. I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff but there was not even an apology or an attempt to set it right. They were busy making sure the "housekeeping staff" gets the blame rather than addressing the issue that I brought up. I found their attitude very affected (they are trained to say "yes sir" and be courteous in a robotic way) and insensitive. Overall the hotel is certainly not luxury grade - and certainly not up to the standard of a 5 stars. There are 3 star hotels that are cleaner and provide better service. Certainly not a hotel I would consider again for business or pleasure travel.

- Anil (2/5): - Very indifferent staff. Everything overpriced. Hotel charged Rs 1100 for Airport drop which is just 2 minutes drive. No one helped with the luggage while checking out. The driver dropped at the wrong terminal and I had to walk a lot with the luggage. Overall hotel is not in good condition

- LIM (2/5): Bad experience - We booked a 3-night stay at Novotel. When we arrived at the hotel, they informed us that they did not receive our booking, even though the payment was already credited. All rooms were sold out, so we couldn't check in. They transferred us to another hotel and agreed to help us cancel the booking and get a refund. In the meantime, I contacted Novotel and Hotels.com, but they are still blaming each other, and I have not yet received a refund. I hope Hotels.com will take this incident seriously. Please assist in securing my refund.

The only reason I booked this was because it was close to the airport and I had an early morning flight.

In the morning no towels left in the bathroom had to call and wait for 30 before they could send it

This was incorrectly communicated to be next day of our stay during checkin but we didn’t get any calls. The day after, they just called 10mins before and repeatedly disturbed us till we vacated, did not even consider it was a problem at their end. Other than that, the stay was ok. The property is clean and maintained.

Wi-Fi worked pretty well, but it's one of those buildings where it was difficult to connect to internet through data. Breakfast was good and staff were helpful and pleasant. A favorite was Ganesh who was a server in the restaurant. We were on the second floor, very near the pool. People could walk by our window and workmen were there sometimes. We'd have to keep the curtains closed to keep privacy. I didn't like this part of the room. Shower and bathroom facilities were good.

I would have appreciated carpet slippers and hand towels being there without specifically being requested. I had an issue with the biling, which seems to have moreto do with Expedia / Hotels.com than Novotel. Would have liked to see a cheese platter in the breakfast buffet.

- D. Kanti (2/5): - 2 aged ladies travelling to Pune, were not allowed to checkin to their pre-paid hotel room, under the consequence of missing one Aadhar card. Mrs. D Kanti Kiran on submitting hers was also not allowed to check in, since her friend was not carrying her's. Despite submitting her Voters ID they were made to wait for as long as the staff members willed. Despite speaking to the staff and informing them that Mrs. Kiran has health issues, the staff pretended to be stone deaf. The very next day the guests checked out for the outrageous service provided by the hoteliers. Checked into JW Marriott where they had a FANTASTIC experience. During check out when the guests asked for a refund, they were apparently told that only if the card holder called and requested for the same will it be done. We hereby would like to state, that we have officially removed Novotel from our list of stays.

Everything was ruined however upon check out because we were being charged for Wi-Fi and the staff and manager gave ridiculous answers and refuse to waive off the charges. Manager told us the IT staff said that the Wi-Fi charges cannot be reversed. (really?) Disappointing service for Hilton standard and because of this we will not be looking to come back to this hotel again with the attitude and inflexibility that this hotel has.

I myself being hotelier,would advice management to maintain Ur star category & please don't book Congested rooms on TRIPLE OCCUPANCY causing inconvenience to guest on holidays. Ur congested rooms are smaller than any other NON-STAR category hotels. Thanks to Ms. Purnima for her support, U are really GEM for NOVOTEL property. Guests please don't expect big rooms to accommodate 3 pax in one room.
- B (8/5): - Good property. Clean and spacious rooms. However, services needs improvement. They have a common counter/ number for Front desk as well as housekeeping. This results in avoidable delays. This is the first hotel where I have experienced the front desk phone not being answered on more than one occasion. And the staff also could be a bit more courteous, hospitality being the trademark of the hotel industry. Notwithstanding, there were exceptions like Mr Srichand from housekeeping, a nice and warm person who attended to our requirements with a friendly smile.

- Pranita (6/5): It is a good hotel but not a five star material - We had booked 4 rooms for 2 nights. It is a good hotel but definitely not a five star category. I checked in with my 5 year old. No help with luggage at all. I went to my room with the luggage and my son all alone. My friends wanted an additional key to the room - husband and wife wanted a key each. They refused to give an extra key. Restaurant service is very slow. They had a happy hour promotion going on. A flyer was kept on each table, which basically said one on one drink free, however the location was mentioned in the bottom left corner - very small picture. When you see the flyer you assume that it is applicable for the restaurant , since it is placed in the centre. Mini bar was empty in our room, but while check out they asked if there is any minibar consumption. I had kept an used face towel on floor as I wanted them to change it (because they had a flyer saying that if we keep the used towels on the floor then they will change it), howver when I came back I saw 2 face towels folded and kept on the counter. One of them was the same napkin. I identified it because of the Kajal mark on it. I had wiped my face a night before which left a Kajal mark. They didn’t change it at all. They knew it is a double occupancy but only one set of everything was kept in the room. They had a ironing board without an iron in the cupboard. Breakfast was good. It is a good hotel but not a five star material.
- Kelly (8/5): - Stayed here as a family with our two girls (2 & 4). Despite booking a family room when checking in I was told they are just on the booking and to have an additional bed for them to sleep would be an additional cost which was obviously unexpected. In the end we did an upgrade anyway and they placed a mattress on the floor. Aside from this we were given bottled water whilst checking in and the girls a smell soft toy which was a nice touch. The hotel itself and room was lovely. Just the pool area felt a bit neglected. Breakfast was very good with good Indian and continental options but they closed it down very quickly so make sure you get down in plenty of time. Food is good enough. The room was spotless with daily service but some niggly bits like the bath we couldn’t work out the shower attachment, laundry needed to be chased. Location is really good, close to the airport, malls, restaurants and bars. If you are not used to travelling in India just be warned the traffic in Pune is horrendous, allow at least an hour for everything. Uber is easily available though. While service is good expect everything to take a long time, this is expected in India but when trying to check out for example can become tedious. Lastly the lobby area is a brilliant space to sit and relax and has an excellent kids corner which was perfect for us. Final point - completely out of the hotels control but the taxes and charges on food, drinks, rooms are steep! You will end up paying about a third more
- Nitya (2/5): - The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable However the room service is beyond pathetic, they take almost an hour to deliver your food and by the time it reaches you its completely cold. Even delivering an order of coffee is too much of a task for them.
