- Nicolas (2/5): - We booked this hotel through Expedia and paid 548.78. For one night stay overpriced due holiday weekend. We checked in and were charged 563.77 at the hotel. This in included parking and pet fee. We brought this to attention of hotel we paid Expedia They reversed the fees 563.77 and charged us another 107.10 above what we paid to Expedia which was overpriced. The hotel room was facing parking lot and by elevator. The room was remodeled however ac did not work nor was it updated. This was an overpriced one night stay and Expedia jacked up their room price When we brought this to attention of hotel they said they have to add pet fees and parking in addition to what we paid Expedia. If we went through hotel we would of saved hundreds We won’t book through Expedia nor return to this hotel again

- Fabian (2/5): - I would like to bring to your attention a concerning incident that occurred during my recent stay. My truck was broken into while parked in the lot across the street, which was the lot recommended by the receptionist for parking. Fortunately, nothing was stolen, but I was very disappointed with how the situation was handled. The staff on duty heard and saw the incident take place but did not take any action or contact the authorities. Instead, the individual responsible was simply allowed to leave without further intervention or notification of law enforcement. I discovered the break-in the following morning, and I found the staff’s casual attitude towards the situation to be quite unsatisfactory, especially given the potential safety risks involved. While I was otherwise satisfied with the room and amenities provided, this experience has left me feeling disappointed and concerned about the safety and security measures in place. I believe that more proactive responses and better safety protocols are necessary to prevent similar incidents in the future and to ensure guests’ peace of mind. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and consider implementing improvements to security procedures to better protect your guests and their property.

And the coffee maker in the room made excellent coffee. It's convenient to the Riverwalk downtown and to Pearl area. Looking forward to its fully renovated.

We were looking forward to sitting outside and enjoying the views of the riverfront, but weren’t able to do to the construction. Everything is else was fabulous! Our room was perfect for our family of four. We enjoyed the restaurant one morning for breakfast, then the next in our room via room service. It was centrally located which was perfect!

Sheets of plastic hanging, tools and building materials. Also I got food poisoning from the hotel restaurant, I should have known better than to eat there. It looks like it will be a nice hotel when it its finished being built. Don't go there now.
- Miguel (4/5): Wait till renovations are done. - The room itself was great. Everything else was two thumbs down. Parking is tiny and if it runs out, you gotta park across the street. My whole point of this location was to have access to the river walk and be able to walk to the Pearl and river center mall since it's right in the middle (distance wise). Since they are in the middle of renovations, I had to walk a few blocks around the hotel to the river. No access through the hotel. I'm sure things will be great in a couple of months when they are done renovating. For now, stay away.

The whole building was under construction and there weren’t any soft closings on any door so there was constant noise and doors slamming. We picked a room with a balcony and view of the river walk however, our room was situated in front of a dog area so our view was obstructed. Finally, when we came back most nights we noticed the front desk attendant sleeping in the office. We probably won’t be coming back.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Very good in spite of the renovation - The hotel is very convenient. The Pearl Brewery and downtown are both easy walks. The room was very nice and clean. The hotel was undergoing an extensive renovation, and that caused some disruptions. But I enjoyed my stay anyway. I would stay there again.

We had to take the stairs to the 3rd and 4th floors. We listened to the sound of high pitched saws during breakfast. They really should’ve shut down during this construction process. Also—it was difficult finding the property because of no hotel signs.

- Darlene (10/5): - The Wyndham Garden hotel was very comfortable. The room was newly renovated, clean, and the balcony overlooked the pool and the river. There was some disorder due to construction, but it was not intrusive. The hotel is very clean, and I watched an employee wipe down every chairs and tables at the pool each morning. All the staff is friendly and helpful. Very nice location to stay out of the hype, but nearby. There are many local bands nearby you can walk to, but they do play till 2 am, which you can hear even with the patio door closed. Not bad when the air conditioner was on, though. I will plan to stay here again.

The property is under construction, so many areas were closed off with plastic and a bit dusty, which flared up my allergies. Aside from that, the only other very important part that I was not too happy about, was having to pay an additional $20 per day for parking. There was never any mention of this on their website, or in the terms and conditions. Last, the suites were a whole lot smaller than I anticipated, but the room was extremely clean, modern and cozy. What made everything well worth our troubles was that the view was beautiful!
