• stacy (3/5): Last stay here sorry to say - Location was good. Breakfast was ok. I do not like sausage and that is what they had for the meat option so...didn't care for that. Pancake machine was not working and by the time it was, it was too late to take advantage of. Rooms were clean. Pet friendly. I will begin by saying that my husband and I had been staying at this location regularly for weeks prior due to a family situation. We were all there as a family, from out of state last weekend for the funeral of my father, and my daughter brought her two dogs, and upon check in, requested a late check out for next day to have a place to keep them while attending the funeral and graveside service. Her and her husband were told it would be ok, not to worry the day of check in, but when it was run by the management, the morning of the funeral she was told a late check out was not going to be allowed...so at the very last minute, they had to scramble to get around, pack, and find a solution for the dogs, load up and check out all within in 2 hours, as the funeral was at 10 am. Caused A LOT of additional stress on an already difficult day.

Didn't affect my stay, but I was suprised that the desk employee was wearing a concert tshirt. They were nice people, just thought they would have dressed a little nicer.

Complement Breakfast .....There is room for improvement in this area. Maybe it was the later hours for servings but nothing look appealing. Not a large selection of choices. The only bad thing was that I saw a little roach looking bug (maybe not a roach-- it was little and long) in the bathroom. The lower bed sheet also had a hair on it when we first got there. The coffee bar wasn't great. The room was extremely expensive for the value (I was there for a big event so I assume that is why they jacked the price up).
• Brietta (4/5): - I was here with my two kids on a family trip. We found a contact lens on the bathroom floor and multiple ants in the bathroom. I also had a spider crawl on me in bed. The fire alarm also went off at 6 a.m. This was not the property’s fault but it did not improve the experience.

Pool was clean and on site laundry was good for us since we got caught in a horrible rainstorm and our clothes was about 50 pounds heavy because of the water.

Tub spout and shower valve were loose from the wall. Shower escutcheon (trim) was pulled the wall. There was food left on the carpet by the trash can.

I arrived a day late and staff was great about a quick check in over the lunch hour, and extending my stay one day. Stayed in room 210. Room was clean, king size bed was comfortable, room temperature was easy to adjust with quiet with combo A/C Heater unit. There was a desk for working and a chair and ottoman for relaxing. A card showing television channels would be nice. Property is located next to I-35 and close to restaurants and other businesses.

• Kiedis75 (8/5): Wonderful stay - We stayed twice in a week, once on the way to our destination and once on the way back. Check in was a breeze both times. I'm unsure of the clerks names, but the girl on the first stay (Feb 19) was very polite and personable. The young man on the second stay (Feb 23) was also polite and personable, and even gave me a complimentary bottle of water. The first night we stayed, we got a room on the 3rd floor (which I requested). It was quiet and nice. The only issue was the water didn't get hot, lukewarm at best. So it was a quick shower. The second stay, the water was much better. The refrigerator in our room didn't work that second stay, and water was dripping from it. We didn't really need it anyway, so we dealt with it with no problem. Breakfast both times was delicious. The pancake machine was great. No need to measure, just hit the button and wait! Plenty of seating in the breakfast area. The beds were very comfortable. It's easy to find and get to, and very close to plenty of restaurants and Walmart. We were very happy with our stay and will continue to stay here when we travel that way.

Fridge/micro & in-room coffee. Free wifi w/ample signal. Bathroom was sparkling clean. Hot shower & off to sleep on super comfortable bed with nice linens. Highly recommend.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed - The young lady that checked us in was welcoming, and made our initial experience pleasant. We stayed for two day, in a suite with the plan to spend time in the room. Unfortunately, the cable did not work 90% of the time we were at the hotel. The bedding also did not stay on the bed. The AC unit in our room was also not pushing out much cold air. We adjusted the temperature several times. Breakfast was enjoyable, and they did a good job of straightening up our room for our 2nd day. Overall the experience was a disappointment though.

For the price, no extras like sheets or comforter for the sofa bed, no extras like pen and paper beside the telephone, no bags for dirty clothes, you know the little extras that help when you travel.
• Henry j (2/5): Horrible customer service - The room was okay. For a hotel on the expensive end in Emporia there should be more attention to detail. The torn shower curtain could easily be replaced. I checked out early and received a voicemail saying I left quite a bit of luggage in my room. They were going to charge me for another night. I called and the person said I was in room 227. I said I was in 327 and I have my stuff. He proceeded to disagree and say I was in 227 and they were charging me. I said I was on the third floor. He disagreed with me. You ride the elevator multiple times you generally remember what button you push. I think he missed a very important aspect of customer service. I started to drive back over there and received another call admitting to there error. You don’t get to cover up a condescending attitude with a simple apology and ‘have a nice day’. The situation was ugly. I imagine the people staying multiple nights in 227 might have a complaint as well. This was horrible customer service. Skip this hotel.

• Brandon (1/5): Terrible Customer Service - Nothing Didn't get the room I booked. Had to ask for housekeeping on day 3. Nothing was offered for compensation for wrong room. Hotel charged my card 4 different charges.
