Guest Reviews
- Boyan (1/5): Never again - The location is the only thing that is good there. We booked rooms which were looking OK, but they give us different ones. Cleaning is not theirs power, bad smell, noisy and very uncomfortable pillows.
- JAIMON (1/5): -
- Martin (10/5): Charming relic of a recent past - I have stayed here a number of times over the years. Many other recent reviews have pointed to deficiencies in the current dilapidated state of facilities, and they're not wrong. They note you can stay at any number of modern, clean, well-appointed hotels in the same area, even on the same block, for a comparable price. But these people are comfort-seeking dilettantes of travel, and no amount of clean towels will fill the emptiness in their souls. The charm of this place is precisely that it hasn't changed in two decades; it is a lost part of Phnom Penh, from a period of rapidly fading Cambodian history. There will be no museum for Okay Guesthouse and its ilk. Last chance to see, stained towels and all. I'm only sad that the property has little time left before it is torn down or renovated beyond recognition.
- James (5/5): Living with cockroaches - Was fully of cockroaches! They were in my bed living rent free! This place is disgusting! 😠Do not start I left higher stars so it gets published..
- Omer (7/5): Good -
- Giacomo (2/5): Don't go there! I SAID DON'T GO THERE!!!! - Nothing Don't go there! No shower head, bathroom clogged, smells like cigarette, etc...
- Bailey (2/5): An experience. - Location for Phnom Penh was good. A/C poor, noise levels high, access to rooms was cramped, no TV, no fridge, no personal care items aside from soap, last persons soap was still in the shower, no toilet paper, no mirror in bathroom, no fan (just the wiring), pillows awful, towels could be cleaner - need I go on?
- Danny (6/5): just ok - Nice room 4rth floor, a lot of work to get up at hard stairs, after 3 night my hipps are painful from matress
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (3/5): Poor -
- Tom (5/5): IT WAS OK, - BIG BED ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,CLOSE TO MANY PLACSES NO BREAKFAST ANY MORE NO T,V LIKE BEFORE NO FRIDGE TO KEEP DRINK,S COLD
- Richard (1/5): Bad - Location The lot
- Gary (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant - Location & size Steep steps, tired decor, faulty door lock
- Ted (1/5): Phnom Penh warning. - Only the location ..close to the centre of the city!! Very convenient. Very creepy ,dark atmosphere like in the horror movie. Got a room on the 4th floor😪 NO LIFT..and stairs are dangerously steep-sided. Room ( only the name😥 one power point in not the best condition and bathroom from the Horror movie again. I don't recommend to anyone. I've straight away cancel the stay there and move to nearby super SUNSHINE hotel. Sorry but I'm not telling the story only pinpointing the SAD facts. Very good and first lesson for me. To get out of the contract , I propose that they can keep a a half of the payment for 2 nights and I left within the 15 minutes to nearby hotel. Best regards the world traveler but not winger!! Sorry but I didn't take a photos because of the total shock. But I should. Nevertheless get inside that Okay Guesthouse would be last thing on my mind!!!
- Ursina (6/5): Pleasant - Spacious room, hot shower available, good location, calm street.
My phone was broken, so they allowed me to use their computer for the flight check-in! Thank you. The room was not sufficiently clean and the bed linen did not smell freshly washed. Luckily, they tried to fix it.
Time-consuming communication. Lack of knowledge about the surroundings in walking distance, which felt little helpful for someone not being from Phnom Penh.
They sent their teenager son to help the clients. When the woman of the house was absent, only the son could understand English.
At check-out, they suddenly didn't want to accept credit card for payment anymore because the woman was not at home. After 20 minutes of waiting, the son had learned how to use the payment machine.
Please replace the tooth brush packs which are available for use!! The bristles of the brush fall off as soon as you try brushing your teeth which makes it possible that you swallow the plastic bristles. The tooth paste does not foam.
