- Verified traveler (8/5): Kounenos_October - Perfect panorama, nice and warm welcome. The owner's English knowledge is not perfect, His secr. can communicate in English. In case of problem greek style solution in time and manner, but, at the end, averything is OK, everybody is happy. The palce is perfect for relaxing and spending time with family, but... without car rental every place, inkl. the see is far from the Apartments. A small marketshop in village, a couple of restaurants, and see. From airport one and a half hour by car. After payment the Owner, Mr Kounenos gave a bottle of olive oil from his own garden to guests. Except us... :( We do not know the reason. Thank You for Your Apartments Mr Kounenos. Nice and good place.
- Marie (8/5): - Pas d’accueil mais une indication de logement avec notre numéro de maison sur le panneau de l’entrée Les clés étaient dessus et on s’est installés Le propriétaire est venu nous voir le soir pour voir si tout était ok Une super maisonnette, chambre parental au 1er étage avec sa terrasse avec une vue splendide sur la baie Séjour et lits canapés enfants au rez de chaussée Avec une 2me terrasse avec vue aussi Cuisine bien équipée, il y avait même un croque monsieur et un four! Piscine très agréable

- MariaGrazia (2/5): - Attenzione, non fatevi ingannare dalla bellissima foto panoramica sul Golfo. La struttura è vecchia, poco curata, stanze con forte odore di muffa, prima di pagare fatevi mostrare la camera, poi valutate voi stessi. Struttura obsoleta

- Yamina B. (10/5): Très satisfaite - La villa dans laquelle nous avons passé 4 jours est splendide. Nous sommes 4 filles et on a eu un accueil super chaleureux de la part de Monsieur Kounenos qui était à l’écoute, disponible et très gentil. Sa résidence est un havre de paix. Très proche de plusieurs belles plages et d’endroits au alentour de la régions. La maisonnette qu’on a eu était très propre et magnifique avec une vue imprenable sur la mer et les montagnes. Je vous le recommande fortement.

(8/5): Réservez plutôt sur Expedia ! - Rien à redire sur la location : au calme, vue magnifique, beaucoup d’espace, idéalement localisée ; par contre je vous déconseille vivement de réserver par Abritel mais plutôt par Expédia (nous avons eu en effet de nombreux déboirs avec Abritel et n’avions toujours pas confirmation le matin même de la réservation malgré plusieurs appels téléphoniques à Abritel et malgré l’activation de leur cellule de crise ; en fait le propriétaire n’était même pas au courant qu’on pouvait louer sa résidence sans passer par Abritel !). Malgré ces mésaventures notre séjour a ensuite été excellent !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Merveilleux emplacement avec une vue à couper le souffle! Le logement (studio) avait tout le nécessaire, le ménage était fait régulièrement. La piscine était limpide, très bien entretenue avec des endroits ombragés et ensoleillés et un nombre de transats largement suffisant et toujours une vue merveilleuse sur la baie d'Istron.

Nel monolocale dove alloggiavamo c'era un presistente odore di chiuso e muffa,la doccia funzionava male in pratica un rigagnolo d'acqua abbiamo fatto notare che canali satellitari non funzionavano e che non fuzionava la luce in cucina nulla e' stato fatto per rimediare i prodotti di cortesia in solo del sapone liquido in un dispenser che terminato dopo 3 giorni nessuno si è preoccupato di riempire l' accesso a internet funzionava a singiozzo....sicuramente nessuna attenzione all' ospite
- anne (10/5): Lieu de charme avec une vue exceptionnelle - Vue exceptionnelle de la maisonnette. Un balcon et une terrasse avec un panorama époustouflant. Bien aménagée. Magnifique piscine. Bon accueil du propriétaire. Voiture indispensable. Un peu éloigné d'agios nikolaos. Plage très proche mais bondée.
- Mr Gerry (10/5): Excellent location. - Excellent location, on a high hill overlooking the bay towards Agios Nikolaos. Tavernas nearby and only 20 minutes drive to Ag.Nik. Within easy reach of most areas at the eastern end of Crete. You need a car here, although there are plenty of bus stops along the main road. However, it would be a bit of a climb back up to the apartment from the road. Very friendly hospitable people. Nice pool. Charming apartment with amazing views from the terrace.

- Guy (4/5): - Amazing view and great breeze. Poor conditions of the appartment. Very small living room, no real kitchen tiny shower. No kitchen basic supply like coffee oil etc..
- CELINE (8/5): Studio avec une très belle vue et le silence - Accueil chaleureux du propriétaire, indique de bonnes adresses de tavernes non attrapé touristes. Le studio surplombe le Golfe, il y a un câble électrique qui passe devant la vue mais cela ne gêne en rien. Son emplacement fait que sommes au calme complet avec les cigales. La piscine est tout simplement géniale. La plage est en descente et s'atteint en 10 minutes à pieds. La literie est parfaite. La climatisation fonctionne très bien. La salle d'eau est très fonctionnelle mais il manque de puissance au jet de la douche. Douche avec parodie coulissante ok. Coin cuisine ok. Ménage ok. Changement des serviettes tous les 2-3 jours.
- Stuart (10/5): The best view in Crete! - The best view in Crete! We stayed here as 4 adults and one baby. In the maisonettes be aware the twin beds are located downstairs in the kitchen / dining area. There aren't many guest so it was never busy by the pool or in the grounds. A car is essential as it's a steep drive up to the property, for those who like a challenge you could walk down to the beach, or it's a 3 minute drive.

- Terry (10/5): Great location with parking - Crete is a great island. Kounenos Apts is located in a spot where you can access most of eastern Crete with ease.
- Jeanne (8/5): Awesome View! - I enjoyed the beautiful view. This place is very quiet away from tourist hub-bub yet close to everything. Very clean, the resident owner very nice and tries best to accommodate.
- Rob (10/5): Nice apartment - Great place to stay. Very tempted to book next year's already. Up a steep drive so we left the car at the bottom, walked 10 mins into town, had a meal then walked back to the car and drove up the hill (off-road). Views are stunning. We stayed 7-nights and could have stayed another 7. No sun on the balcony after 10 (suited me) but plenty of sun at the pool. Lack of sun on the windows kept the apartment cool. Every apartment has fantastic views so book with confidence. There is a lot of slopes and steps though - so if you're not fit then this isn't for you. Lots to see nearby. Only 30 mins drive to either Agios or to the South coast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great apartment with fantastic views - We stayed in a two bed apartment which was clean and suited our needs. The owner was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The view is simply breathtaking and we have recommended to all our friends. We will certainly be staying here again when we next visit Crete.
