• SweetPW (10/5): A great place to stay - The hotel room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi worked wonders on our achy muscles from hiking. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location was very close to shopping and dining. It is also close to driving to hiking locations. We also took our vacation at a wonderful time because it was quiet in the hotel. They had breakfast in the hotel but we didn't eat at the hotel. The gym needs a small improvement on getting working equipment. Some weight plates were missing and some parts of the equipment were missing.

Breakfast was simple but good variety and everything tasted fresh. The lighting in the room was very dull. I had to turn on the overhead and every desk/side table/standing lamp to feel like i wasn't in the dark. Still was pretty dim in there. Some brighter, but warmer light would make the stay more comfortable.

We had mentioned it to the manager, and she told us that she would not be able to assist us with any kind of accommodation. That most likely the bedbugs were in the blankets and she had already had them washed so they should be dead by now!!! unbelievable!

• Paula (5/5): Disappointing overall, won't stay there again. - The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had very good safety features such as grab bars. There are many rats in the bushes and area outside the door in front & adjoining the parking lot that needs to be addressed immediately. I spoke with 3 staff members about it. I requested a 1st floor room close to the parking lot, I got that, but the door nearest our room, you could go out but not enter thru it.

• Ann (10/5): - We have stayed at this location multiple times to visit my daughter’s family. The facility is always clean. The staff is professional and friendly. The pool is well maintained and the breakfast is very good. It is our home away from home when we are in Bellingham.

I have always liked the appearence of the LaQuinta Hotels from the road driving past them and thought it would be fun to stay at one. So when I had a medical appt in Bellingham, WA where I needed an overnight stay we booked with LaQuinta. The gardens and landscaping around the properthy front where I walked my dog was full of weeds and not appealing compared to the Hampton Inn on the same property that was beautifully manicured. The entrance and lobby was very appealing as was the room when we walked in. The bathroom was roomy and very clean, linens very white however there was a used hand towel hung on the rod as if it had just been used!. The carpet in the room needed a major vacumning around furniture and edges where dirt particles were very noticable. The sun was shining into the room in the afternoon when we arrived and the TV, Micro wave screens and the desk tops were covered with white lint particles as if they had been cleaned with a bath towel, perhaps a micro cloth should be used. There was a slight yellow stain on the top bedspread that I noticed the next morning that probably was there the night before. I typically do not do negative reviews and we did enjoy our stay. I'm just reviewing to make suggestions that could improve the quality of stay for future travelers and increase the LaQuintas reputation. I blended likes and dislikes in the comments above.

Included all day coffee and tea. Included breakfast. Noon checkout . The bathroom needed to be updated. The shower had what looked like rust stain running down and bathtub had permanent streak lines . Wasn’t planning on taking a bath in the shower but had to use the rubber slip mat to shower. Don’t think the shower was cleaned as there were more than one stands of hair in the shower . Would have noticed that if cleaning the bathroom. The rest of the room was fine . Just shower should be replaced and not rented out.

• Tracy (8/5): We enjoyed our 3 night stay. Beds are comfortable and place is clean. - Staff was accommodating when I made a mistake with my reservation. The king suite was very comfortable for me and my son. I also love that it is a non-smoking facility. It would be amazing if La Quinta could be a trailblazer and offer healthy breakfast options. I didn't take advantage of free breakfast. There is also no outdoor space to sit, just a parking lot.

• Wonderful World (7/5): It's fine if you're not demanding, I guess. - The hotel features an indoor swimming pool and a gym. The bedding was filthy — old bloodstains on the sheets that clearly hadn't been washed out properly. And the pillowcases just didn't feel clean or fresh either.

We were pleased that we got a corner room with a tub. I wish the tub was bigger. It was pretty quiet overall The room could have used a bit more detailed cleaning. I'm a house keeper so I have an eye for details. Like wiping the soap spill around the shampoo bottles, looked used a lil gross. The breakfast was not great, not like most hotel breakfast are anyway. The worst part was the stairway next to our room reeked of wet dog.

Midnight at 1:00 am the phone of my room rang and woke me up and when I called the front desk I was told that it was not me calling, instead of taking care of the situation. After that I was not able to sleep for hours as I was alone in the room. By the way, I have followed up by management in the Morning and said they will investigate on that. Besides the breakfast was very simple and far from expectations described in comments.

• Jessica (6/5): Wyndham in Bham - Location, the breakfast options, the WiFi and the views of the rooms The non heated pool with an extremely slippery deck; ended up slipping and landing on my left pelvis that's been reconstructed so landing was not fun nor will it be a fun recovery....I'm 35 years old so you know I was walking I was not running nor walking fast in any shape way or form. The TV program selection that was NOT available especially with a child I was hoping on letting him watch some tv while I got school work done but that didn't happen.

• Tracy (5/5): Had it been clean, I would have given a better rating - The location was good. The staff in the lobby were nice. The lobby was clean. The floors and hallways were very dirty. Interesting to find out when it was last vacuumed. The person cleaning the room replaced a few things and never made the bed. There was woman’s hair in the bed and men’s bread cutting on the sink. Clear tape on the walls holding trim up. Very obvious dust on everything. The room has been neglected. The room was missing light bulbs so the room was dim.
