Jessie (10/5): Le petit Paradis de Paje - Un superbe hôtel en bord de mer. Beau, très bien entretenu, le personnel est absolument adorable. La cuisine est vraiment délicieuse: à souligner! Les petits déjeuners incroyablement bons et copieux (variés). Possibilité de se faire masser sur la plage. La literie est très confortable et les chambres spacieuses. La piscine est chaude; des transats et serviettes de plage sont à disposition. Un merci tout particulier à Grace, la responsable de la réception, qui s est assuré que nous passions un merveilleux séjour; ses mots pour mon fils resterons à jamais gravé: merci pour cette bienveillance ! Nous recommandons vraiment cet hôtel au super rapport qualité prix, et avec un emplacement parfait sur la place de Paje pour faire du kitesurf (beaucoup d écoles juste à côté), bronzer, faire des boutiques et sortir le soir. ras
Emilian (10/5): We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Ndame Paje Hotel with an incredible ocean-front infinity pool, - The infinity pool was absolutely amazing — a stunning ocean-front infinity pool with breathtaking views over the sea, perfect for relaxing all day with comfortable sunbeds and a beautiful chill vibe. The location was perfect — peaceful, right on the beach, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The WiFi was by far the best we had in Zanzibar — super fast and reliable everywhere. The staff were friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. Honestly, there was absolutely nothing we didn’t like. Everything exceeded our expectations. We actually expected a traditional buffet breakfast, but the à la carte experience turned out to be awesome — fresh, made-to-order options with great variety and quality every morning. The whole stay felt well-maintained, relaxing, and thoughtfully prepared from start to finish.

Michael (9/5): nice pool, nice beach, outside of the center - I like the place, because its open, wide and has an natural appearance with that small huts, a bit outside of the bustling center of Paje. The pool is big and well kept. All went well, and Simona helped us to get good rooms for everyone in the big group. Even late check out was possible due to low season. We had a good stay and all liked it. Breakfast has creative versions, so even after 4 nights, we were not boared but positive surprised. Pizza was great too. The place and inside garden is very clean, but I think the gardneers, or even security staff, could also collect the plastic trash who comes in with tide, along the natural beach stretch in front of huts Nr. 20 to Nr. 27. Guest would apreciate i think.
Daniel (8/5): Piscina increible - La piscina es perfecta, grande, buena temperatura y con sombras de las palmeras. (Se puede aprovechar bien sin alojarte en el hotel) Algunas habitaciones estan en bloques de 3 y se oye mucho al vecino. Llegue de un tour muy cansado con ganas de bañarme y me dijeron que no podia cuando habia otra persona en el agua y me molesto mucho. Ademas que dicen que puedes bañarte a cualquier hora a tu resposabilidad ya que no hay socorrista. Volvi como cliente no alojado para comer y el datafono no funcionaba, y la cantidad a pagar en ese hotel suele ser muy alta. Me querian llevar hasta el banco para sacar dinero y pagarles lo cual conlleva bastante tiempo y costes extras de sacar efectivo. No me gusto esa gestion tampoco. Tuve suerte y un amigo tenia mucho efectivo encima.
Peter (7/5): Great location and pool. Left with slightly uneasy vibe but would stay again. - Great pool overlooking the water. Plenty of seats and towels. Water and room good and good AC and water pressure. Food great. My boys and I witnessed the very big security guard beat up a beach boy. I had to step in. He tried to sell me a jet ski ride which was fine and I said no. He didn’t bother me any more. Then the security guard came down, tried to take his bike and that escalated to punching him. Middle of the day and it wasn’t necessary. The lady from the property next door was also yelling at him to stop. You guys don’t own this beach and there was no need for your security staff to do this. It’s a poor reflection on the hotel, which was a shame as it’s a lovely place.

The managers are always making sure everything is done well and the pool is the nicest in the area. Also food is great and it feels very safe especially at night for solo travelers The reception can be better , i think its being renovated and maybe more light in the rooms

Martine (10/5): Perfect voor het gezin. Het is een idyllische plek om heerlijk te verpozen - Het was geweldig. Boven verwachting goed. We hebben ons als twee koninginnetjes gevoeld. Mijn dochter werd 5 en zij hebben echt een onvergetelijke vakantie aan ons gegeven. Van zingen bij het ontbijt als liefde geven aan mijn dochter alsof ze bij hun familie hoorde. We werden op onze wenken bediend. Als klap op de vuurpijl hebben ze ook nog ons bed versierd met prachtige bloemen en zwanen ornamenten gemaakt met de handdoeken. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en a la carte. We konden het eigenlijk niet op, waardoor we het fruit steeds meenamen naar het zwembad. We hadden steeds dezelfde bedjes vooraan en voelden ons als royalties. De muziek op de achtergrond, een heerlijk briesje af en toe en prachtig weer. In het laagseizoen nog steeds een goede plek om heen te gaan. Echt idyllisch. Voor de lunch of het diner is de catch of the day een echte aanrader. Het stukje prive strand met het kraakheldere water was heerlijk om na de de vloed heen te gaan. Vanaf het zwembad hadden we een prachtig uitzicht op de kitesurfers en de oceaan die in de ochtend en vroege middag in eb modus lag. Het is een pareltje van een hotel. Het hotel trekt een verschillend pluimage aan van dagtoeristen, hotelgasten en kitesurfers. Persoonlijk houd ik daar erg van. Mijn kind had ook zeer veel mogelijkheden om met leeftijdsgenoten te spelen in het zwembad. Ze heeft volgens mij 6 uur per dag gemiddeld in het zwembad en de zee gespeeld. Er was geen moment dat er geen vermaak was. We zijn met zijn tweetjes heerlijk tot rust gekomen. Mijn dochter zei: mam, ik wil nooit meer naar huis!! :-)) Vrij weinig. Het is een prive strand. Mijns inziens de beste plek van het eiland om te verblijven. In de buurt kun je je overigens prima vermaken met de goede restaurants en cafes aan het strand. Als je dingen wilt ondernemen, check van te voren even de afstanden.

La pileta es hermosa genera un paisaje increíble con el mar y las personas que trabajan en el hotel son muy amables. El desayuno y la comida muy ricos. Lo único que no me gustó fue que no tenía heladera en la habitación

Fenêtre qui ne se ferme pas, aucune chevet près du lit ,pas d'armoire pas possible d'accrocher ses vêtements. Pas 1 seul cintre dans la chambre. Inondation après de fuite sous le lavabo. Air conditionné qui fuit nuit et jour, j'ai même glissée. Fuyez trop cher !!!

Beaucoup de personnes viennent de l’extérieur et réservent les meilleurs places…

Abbiamo chiesto due volte o teli per i lettini e ho avuto la sensazione che se non avessi chiesto la seconda volta, non sarebbero arrivati. Non mi hanno dato un materassino e ho dovuto arrangiarmi prendendo uno dal letto massaggi. Abbiamo cenato con cibo buono al ristorante ma poca scelta.

Nayra (1/5): Horrible and traumatic - Honestly nothing than the location and after staying there for 1 week, we realized that there were way better hotels with better locations. Its one of the worst experiences ever. Our first room was filled with black mold and we got sick for 3 days, after complaining they finally moved us to another room and the second room was filled with insects we found termits all over our bed and it was crawling out of the bed wood frame and wardrobe. We demanded another bedroom to sleep in since it was 1 am and they said they were “ full booked” and sent a cleaner at 1 am. We were given broken stained towels to use and we have asked the room cleaners for new towels, they told us to put them on the floor, when we got back to our room the same towels that were on floor were hung again. The mattress is stained and gross. The food is really bad, the restaurant staff is very very rude and it will take forever for the food to arrive, had to wait 2 hours for a pizza and when it arrived cold and demanded a new one they cancelled the order without informing us and we waited another hour for food. After a whole week there with alot of problems we asked for compensation and discount at our check out the manager offered us 2 beers and that was it. And to all the people of color and black people dont stay there cause you wont be treated with same respect as they are treating white people. I really really don’t recommend anyone staying there, for that price you can get a great accommodation along the island.

Isabell (5/5): Für ein paar Tage ganz okay. - Die Lage direkt am Strand ist wunderschön. Der Pool und kein Anlage an sich ist schön gemacht. Auch das Konzept mit den Bungalows ist toll. Das Zimmer war für zwei Personen viel zu klein. Kein Mülleimer im Zimmer, kein Kühlschrank, kein Kleiderschrank. Viele Tiere im Zimmer und Kot vom Tier überall. Das Personal arbeitet schrecklich langsam. Man musste auf das Essen und die Rechnung wirklich sehr lange warten.

Die Mitarbeiter sind immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut. Für abwechslungsreiches Programm wurde gesorgt. Ich würde dieses Hotel jedem weiterempfehlen

Kamer keurig, alles ziet er zeer verzorgd uit Soms harde muziek bij het zwembad en op zaterdagavond ging de live muziek tot vrij laat door. Bij het zwembad duurde het soms een tijd voordat je geholpen werd aan een handdoek of mogelijkheid om iets te bestellen

Essi (2/5): Stay away - Good wifi everywhere and nice location on the beach. If you want to party all the time they played loud music often. Some of the staff members were friendly buy most weren't. The room was tiny and claustrophobic, the ceiling was very low. The air was damp and smelled moldy. No mosquito nets and if you keep the light on too long it attracts so many bugs to your room. We had to use bug spray so often it was hard to breathe. Something black (maybe termite poo) was falling from the cealing to the bed all day and night. Worn out sheets with stains. Super loud music from the restaurant made staying in the room impossible. Restaurant was bad: undrinkable coffee and continental breakfast means just three pieces of toast. Don't let the pictures fool you, with the same amount you can get a lot better accommodation in paje!
Aida (5/5): Den Tag nicht vor dem Abend loben. - Am Tag ein war die Unterkunft mit dem Pool ein Traum. Die Liegen sind sehr angenehm und das Personal kümmert sich gut um die Gäste (auch externe Personen, welche die Liegen nützen wollen). Der Pool ist angenehm. Das Frühstück war lecker. In der Nähe (zu Fuß) der ganzen Restaurants. Für am Tag genießen echt toll. Das Hotel an sich würden wir definitiv nicht erneut buchen. Wir hatten leider keinen Balkon. Das Zimmer war sehr klein. Aufgrund der Hochsaison und der Termiten dort, waren dementsprechend überall Termiten im Zimmer verstreut. Würmer am Boden und Kot der Tiere auf dem Bett. Jeden Tag. Das Personal war meistens seeehr unfreundlich. Das Hotel würden wir definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen.

Wayne (10/5): Surreal experience - The food was amazing, the staff was spectacular and very accommodating. We checked in really late and I mentioned that it was my Wife's birthday and they quickly arranged something to make her feel special. We had breakfast in our room one of the days, and when we got back from site seeing, the dishes were still there despite housekeeping cleaning our room.

Ana (10/5): Amazing. - Breakfast and food options were really good and the staff members were extremely nice and helpful. The pool is amazing and the hotel is beautiful. I would go back and stay there again. Our toilet seat was unattached and it needed to be fixed. However, not a relevant issue at all.

Comfortable and clean rooms - we extended by a night and got the budget room for that one night which are relatively small so I’d recommend getting the other rooms. It’s a vibey resort with beautiful beachfront views. Found ourselves cancelling our excursions for the one day and extending our stay by a day just to take in the beauty of the resort a bit more. One of the best messages I’ve had. The restaurant staff were really frustrating. Of the 6 nights booked at the resort, we literally had to call someone for assistance everyday. From getting the menu to orders and signing for the bill. The only time they were proactive was during breakfast & when they packed the used dishes. I also noticed that, attention was given to visitors as opposed to in-house guests. I think on NYE is when I completely lost my patience. When asking to be served we were either ignored or they fought amongst themselves to not serve us. About 2 hours later, I go complain to the supervisor who eventually took our order but we were also told that the kitchen is closed. Tell me why guests were not told in advance that the kitchen will be closed early? Fast forward to the NYE 5 course dinner party later that day, there is still no service. Our waitress was Rachel & when I tell you we got blatantly ignored. Party started at 8pm & we only had our main course after midnight. This was only because of two people, the petite lady in the white dress that night (she is part of management) - she saved our evening to be honest and a waiter who had a conversation with my husband a few days ago & referred to each other as ‘Malome’. This was after our last meal was breakfast at 11am. Drinks did not arrive when ordered, you had to go to the bar to place orders yourself & they would be served after a while. We literally only got served after I went to the reception staff to complain and request a refund to go enjoy our evening somewhere else as no one else was attending us & complaints (before we were eventually served). The ground & pool staff are however really good & pay attention to detail & visitors. Suggestions: - training for restaurants & bar staff as there’s enough of them to deliver great service. - wristbands for in-house guests so they are easily identified & attended accordingly.

Sorin (10/5): O alegere excelenta ! - Am avut o ședere excelentă la Ndame Beach Lodge, într-o zonă liniștită din Paje, exact ce căutam pentru relaxare. Camerele sunt spațioase, foarte curate și bine întreținute, cu o atmosferă autentică, discret elegantă. Personalul este extrem de amabil, atent și mereu disponibil, fără a fi intruziv, un mare plus. Mâncarea a fost constant foarte bună, proaspătă și bine gătită, iar poziționarea hotelului, chiar lângă plajă, oferă apusuri spectaculoase. Un loc bine organizat, calm și autentic, pe care îl recomand fără rezerve și unde aș reveni cu plăcere Nu am nimic de reprosat

I asked for a clean towel, but I got rolling eyes and was asked whether the towel was really dirty. At checkout, they checked the room and said that a bottle was missing. I told them it should be in the shower. They wanted me to pay for it, but I said no and asked them to check again. When we went back to the room, the cleaning lady was holding the bottle and said it was found. The receptionist only said ‘okay,’ and I did not receive an apology for the accusation

Excellent rapport qualité prix La gestion du départ: - étonnamment on nous demande d’attendre lors du check out avant de partir le temps que la femme de ménage vérifie notre chambre. Une grande première - on nous demande alors si nous avons pris la serviette pour les mains. Nous répondons alors gentiment que la veille au lieu de 2 serviettes de bain et 1 mains nous avons eu 3 serviette de bain donc elle n’est pas manquante elle n’avait simplement pas été mise suite à quoi le personnel a insisté sur le fait que nous avions vraiment une serviette manquante en nous assurant que celle ci avait été mise donc on nous accusait d’avoir pris une serviette (et ce à tort). Point qui est d’autant mal passé que nous avions trouvé un chiffon de de ménage au fond de notre valise la veille

Ordered drinks waited half an hour and still nothing went to the bar again and asked still nothing. So left the hotel to get food and drinks which was a little disappointing as were are in house guest.

Hava (1/5): Gute Lage mit katastrophalem Service und Zimmer - Die Anlage Booking 22qm angegeben, allerdings war das Zimmer viel kleiner! Trotz Ansprache wurde uns nicht geholfen. Ausserdam war das Zimmer von Termiten befallen was den Aufenthalt unmöglich gemacht hat.

Steinar Robsahm (6/5): Flott beliggenhet - ikke den autentiske Zanzibar-atmosfæren! - Fantastisk beliggenhet i fremste linje ved stranda. Fin og velstelt eiendom, stort Infinity Pool. Bra renhold på rommene. Bra mat i restauranten (når den omsider ble servert) Hele stedet mangler sjarmen man finner på andre hoteller på Zanzibar, som er drevet av lokale folk. Her er det russisk ledelse så vidt jeg oppfatter det, noe jeg føler preger hele hotellet. Og, selvsagt også bidrar til at det er mange russiske gjester her. Jeg sitter og skriver denne anmeldelsen fra en ny resort litt lenger nord på øya, drevet av lokale folk. Atmosfære, sjarm, service, smil - det er som natt og dag her sammenlignet med Ndame. God mat i restauranten, som nevnt over. Men, jeg tror aldri jeg har opplevd et tregere og mindre oppmerksomt personale enn på dette stedet. Her kan man sitte 5-10 minutter i restauranten uten at noen en gang kommer med en meny, selv om lokalet er halvfullt og det kryr av personale på jobb.

Demoram imenso tempo a servir as refeições, 1h30 embora a comida seja boa. Ficámos 2 dias sem toalhas de banho, mesmo solicitando. Para quem não está alojado, é bom para passar o dia.

There is one one exceptional waiter called Emmanuel, amazing waiter that engaged well with clients. There was a smell from the bathroom which made the whole stay un enjoyable

There are other surrounding resorts/ restaurants by the beach if you want to try a different restaurant The services (ie. Transfer prices) are quite expensive. The food portions are also quite small compared to the price charged.

Je suis déçue de l'hôtel, le personnel n'est pas du tout au soin, nous sommes juste des numéros de chambre. Ils sont pas du tout agréable, la nourriture n'étais pas top , le petit déjeuner est servie dans des beaux verres assiettes etc que s'il n'est pas compris dans le prix mais dès que vous dites que c'est inclus on vous sort de la vaisselle basic. On a l'impression qu'ils sont au petit soin que des gens qui on paye super cher. Très déçue de l'hôtel

Frieda (8/5): Fijne tijd in Ndame hotel in Paje - De locatie is prachtig. De zee, het zwembad. Hebben er echt van genoten Het ontbijt was het beste dat ik op Zanzibar heb gegeten. Gevarieerd en echt een culinair hoogstandje. Het personeel, met name de serveerster Anna stond altijd klaar voor ons. Mijn compliment3n voor haar. Ook de rest van de staff was voorkomend en attent. Vond de kamer vrij klein voor de prijs die je betaalt.
