- William (5/5): Disappointing - Breakfast excellent Noise in bar area and dining area. Nowhere to sit in the bedroom. No quiet lounge area.
- Lorraine (8/5): Overall very nice - Location, parking, lovely staff Some items in the room could have been cleaner. Glasses left for water were not clean and stuck to table top .
- Maureen (10/5): - Lovely large bright sunny room and nicely decorated. Very friendly staff and very good breakfast. Good quiet location with large garden area .easy walk into Southwold ..would stay aga
- Ryan (9/5): -
- Jacqueline (9/5): - Good location. Friendly staff. Parking and very good value for money. Food very nice. Small menu and no chicken.
- Amanda (8/5): Enjoyed our stay at The Randolph. Would have been better if they’d been wheelchair access so further family members coul - Local to our venue, reasonably priced.
- Michael (10/5): - Good location, great staff. Nothing, it as all we needed
- Christopher (10/5): Stay here not in Southwold. - Great location with ample car parking. The hotel was well maintained and the room (9) was spacious and well appointed.
We liked the homemade shortbread biscuits in the room!
We dined in the hotel and enjoyed two excellent meals. The bar has a nice local feel to it but there is also plenty of restaurant space for a bit more privacy if needed.
Staff were super throughout our stay. No real problems but we thought the room door needed a bit of tlc with paintwork looking tired. I'm sure this is just ongoing maintenance.
- David (8/5): Perfect - Lovely and clean, room was bright spacious at top of House, immaculate bathroom, lovely staff and very good restaurant & Bar , plenty of parking Nothing
- Paul (10/5): -
- Pamela (8/5): Would visit again - Ideally situated to visit Southwold
Nice to have balcony
Lovely breakfasts
Friendly Staff Room quite small
Limited menu as we stayed for Five nights and did not eat every night at hotel as after two meals we had no further choices perhaps more choices in the summer?
- Brown (3/5): If you want a pub near Southwold then this is for you. But not if you want a relaxing hotel. - Very little sadly The "Hotel" is basically a pub with rooms. There is no atmosphere or any spaces for guests to sit and relax. The bar is just that.. a drinking space. The restaurant is like a canteen - no carpet or soft furnishings - or pictures. Our room was just big enough for the bed (Room 4) There was a chair but it was a metal folding chair that you couldn't use. The "Hotel" closes when staff leave so there is no night cover which made me feel anxious as there was clearly no security. Its location was outside Southwold so not easy to get into if that is where you want to visit. Staff were at times stressed and the venue felt understaffed.
- Freshwater (10/5): - Location excellent, room really clean with nice attention to what a customer might want. Food was good .
- Paul (8/5): Lovely hotel, staff were lovely and friendly. - Breakfast was lovely, didn't see croissants on the table with the cereal, but my wife tells me, you needed to order them. I filled out the form for, biscuits, coffee bags and peppermint tea bags. But was only left biscuits and coffee bags, no peppermint tea. Radiator in bathroom was on full blast and made the rest of the room stuffy. Had to sleep with the windows open.
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect stay - Comfortable bed, very clean and warm room
- Glenn (9/5): Lovely stay - Clean rooms, nice staff, good food. Bed (double) was a small double so a tad uncomfortable. It was also very soft although my kids room had better/ firmer beds (everyone has their own preferences mind).

- Janet (9/5): A super 3 day break. Lovely staff at every level - We had a lovely room at the top of the building. The whole hotel was well furnished and appeared newly decorated. Lots of parking. You have to drive into Southwold. Not really walkable
- Anna (9/5): Excellent -
- paul (7/5): - breakfast Room a little too warm
- Iain (10/5): Just a lovely place to stay. - The staff are lovely, the place is spotless. The breakfasts are very good. Beautifully cooked. Same goes for dinner. We’ve not tried lunch yet. Although we’ve stayed a few times..Usually in the spring and autumn when Southwold isn't too busy. Very little
- Elaine (6/5): - Location, staff ,cleanliness, comfy bed. No comfy chairs to relax in after a busy day. Menu not much
Variety, perhaps pasta or salad .reported soap dispenser broken ,not fixed.
- Andrew (8/5): - It was generally a very relaxed stay. Good draught beers. Nothing
- bernadette (9/5): Really enjoyable..comfortable good beer - Breakfast was excellent Nothing really.

- Sue (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our few days away. Thank you! - Great location 15” drive to Southwold seafront. Shame the weather wasn’t very welcoming. Good dining experience both breakfast and dinner, attentive staff. Clean well maintained hotel. If you’re a little advanced in years you may wish to request a room on the lower floor.

- Julia (9/5): - Well run, warm, clean, food very good. Would definitely stay again. Book a larger room next time,, a little further to walk to the town than we realised but not enough to spoil our visit.
- John (9/5): Friendly helpful staff spacious comfy room - Staff very friendly. Spacious room. Good food. Top floor room, bathroom down 4 steps. My electrified a bit but didn't spoil the stay.

- Stephen (10/5): A lovely hotel in a great position - The hotel staff were very welcoming, always available and attentive, the breakfast was truly excellent with a great selection.
The room was lovely and warm, a good size with a recently refurbished bathroom.
The building has a charm of its era. Car park needs a little TLC !
- Eric Robert (8/5): Excellent service and good food - Lovely small hotel with welcoming bar and restaurant They don’t make up the rooms if you stay more than one night
- Richard (10/5): Great location, friendly staff, good facilities and A1 breakfast! - Lovely stay with friendly staff and lots of nice touches!
- Katharine (9/5): - Clean, comfortable and well appointed
- Lesley (9/5): - Spacious room, lovely pub downstairs, lovely breakfast Room temperature could have been better ( fan heater was provided though) Room was large , nice but had to rely on heater to back up central heating. It was very cold outside
- Jennifer (8/5): It was everything we expected. - Both excellent
- Kathryn (10/5): - Comfortable, warm, clean, great location, quiet, the room was exceptional.
- CHRISTINE (9/5): Managed to book a special offer which made the stay affordable . Very comfortable large room . - Excellent choices with fresh good quality food . Prompt efficient service . Restaurant a little lacking in decor and character but clean, spacious and comfortable .
- Arthur (7/5): Nice place near Southwold - Nice hotel with character, lovely breakfast and handy location Room was a bit small, lot of potholes in the car park.
- Paul (9/5): Great trip - Booked the Churchill room, which was more like a suite. Great welcome in, and even some Prosecco and chocolates in the fridge. All food was really nice, beautifully presented. Only complaint could be that it was so nice that I over ate. Top breakfasts, 2 nice dinners & a cream tea to die for. 20 minute walk to the seafront was worth it, and don't miss the lighthouse tour. The ambiance in the dinner area could have been a little warmer.
Out of season gave good value, but weather inclement
- Stapleton (10/5): -
- Lara (8/5): -
- Johan (9/5): Great destination, location minutes from Southwold, friendly staff, nice rooms and lovely food. - Welcoming staff that served with a smile and made us feel comfortable from the moment we checked in till we checked out. Fresh, low key and comfortable room and rest of hotel to relax. Great food Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): -
- michaela (10/5): Liked if so much have booked another stay - Excellent breakfast good quality food
- Jayne (9/5): - Location and a big car park
- Chester (10/5): -
- Lisa Evans (10/5): -
- Douglas (10/5): - The hotel had a family run feeling
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
The locals were friendly, too
Food was cooked to perfection. We had the steak.
The homemade jams were delicious for breakfast.
Will stay again if coming to the area. Just a couple of things in the room (5) the unit used for the tea and coffee was too low, and a small chair like a dining table chair just next to the wardrobe in front of the window but not the fire escape one, would be very helpful for those unsteady on their feet.
Outside, there wasn't somewhere my partner could smoke without getting wet.
Maybe a small cover shelter round the back by the car park
That way, it's out of sight from the garden.
- lyn (4/5): Could do better. - The hotel was very clean as was our room. The food was lovely. Most of the staff were friendly. The lady who was at reception when we arrived (the boss apparently) was very abrupt, and again at breakfast, when I asked for something on the menu that she said shouldn't have been there. (Smoked haddock)
Our towel rail wasn't working in the bathroom (it needed a new fuse) so no heating in the bathroom. Went to have a shower, the water dribbled out then the shower control stopped working. ' the boss' told us it had tripped. Went to have another shower the
next morning but the control was cracked (which is why it tripped). We wrapped a towel round it to stop the water getting in but could only get the water lukewarm and only one of the shower heads to work. We complained to three different people but nothing was done. Wouldn't go back again.
- Julia (9/5): -
- Susan (10/5): -
- David (10/5): Wonderful short stay on the edge of beautiful Southwold - Great breakfast - freshly prepared, black-pudding is amazing!
Lovely, friendly and relaxed atmosphere - mirrored by the staff. The bar is an especially relaxed and pleasant place to sit and enjoy. There's not much not to like - Room was super warm and quite tight..... given that the hotel was almost unoccupied, a larger room would have been very appreciated.
- Paul (9/5): Excellent - Comfortable rooms
Great Breakfast
Friendly staff Some areas need redecoration
- Tony (10/5): -
- Lucy (8/5): -
- James (8/5): Really enjoyed our stay just needs a bit of TLC in some areas - Great choice for breakfast and plenty of it. Attentive colleagues, always ready to help but not intrusive. The room was light with a large window, really good. Some of the areas were a little “tired” a could do with a refresh/ repaint. Some of the window and door frames in particular.
- Doreen (9/5): A short but lovely stay at a very welcoming hotel - Perfect room plenty of space and good facilities. Breakfast first class very fresh produce and loads of choice Better wine selection at the bar. Poor wine on offer
- Grace (9/5): - Dark staircase to the first floor
- Gillian (9/5): We stayed for two nights as we were going to a wedding but could easily have stayed longer. - Everything. The staff were very helpful. The room very pleasant and the food very good. Nothing really
- wendy (9/5): Comfortable and friendly - Staff food lovely bathroom
- Graham (9/5): -
- Amber (8/5): Beautiful hotel in great location with wonderful hosts - The Randolph hotel is a beautiful property in walking distance to southwold seafront and Pier. Our room on the top floor was immaculate. We were especially pleased with how spacious the shower room was. We kept our window open at night and the road was very quiet outside. I am a light sleeper and this was a very quiet room. The hosts gave us complimentary home made shortbread and were happy to provide fresh milk. Nice little touches in room such as hand made toy crab and seaside painting by local children. Would happily recommend this hotel. Would stay again 😊 I didn't like bread used for toast or foccacia starter, however other food was good quality and very well presented.
- Stephen (9/5): - The rooms were clean and tidy, breakfast, and the dinner were great. The staff were friendly and a nice place to stay. It was January and the bar and restaurant were not very warm. Could do with a warm lounge and some fires burning.
- Simon (8/5): Pleasant stay at the Randolph - Spacious and comfortable room. Helpful staff.,good breakfasts. No major dislikes, bar perhaps a bit limited.
- Sue (9/5): It’s perfect for us super warm, and staff and breakfast perfect - Lovely is property with character Furniture in room a little dated
- Wakley (8/5): - Warm , comfy, staff .... Little bit noisy from quizz compare , needed to turn mic down ..
- Michael (9/5): -
- cheryl (6/5): Ok kind staff - Location not bad Needs updating
- JOHN (9/5): -
- David (10/5): Fantastic - super staff, friendly helpful and welcoming. Great cooking, lovely Christmas decorations! -
- Karen (9/5): Very relaxing - Spotlessly clean Room 8 was so lovely although the quilt looked very lumpy thought there was someone hiding in our bed 😂 Food very good & staff were so friendly Reception & staircases could do with a lick of paint & a bit brighter but I’m just being picky
- Martin (9/5): -
- Bernie (6/5): - Disappointed in evening dinner soup was poor quality Fish and Chip meal only adequate
- VALERIE (10/5): Really enjoyable, staff very friendly and helpful, food was delicious. Excellent breakfast. - Lovely big bedrooms, beautifully clean

- stephen (7/5): . - . .
