Guest Reviews
- Yerlan (9/5): - Nice and quiet location
- Elodie (10/5): Will book again ! - The location and of course the arty flair ! Nothing
- Charlotte (2/5): - Lovely location for walks and quick drive to Cawsand. Apartment was clean and check-in easy. The garden is pleasant and there’s lots to do in the area on a sunny day. When walking in the front door to the house there is an immediate smell of musty damp. The apartment has white fluorescent lights making it feel clinical and has a similar strange smell. The main house our apartment was in was dark and closed up making the stay feel uncanny and like we wanted to spend all our time away from the property. Not somewhere I could recommend and felt sad to have spent so much money on the booking.
- Jane (9/5): - Beautiful apartment in lovely location. Owners were delightful Bedding in double room has marks on it, curtains very stained in single room and mirror covered in dust
- Parlour (10/5): Spacious, welcoming cottage feel in a beautiful grounds. - Stunning location hidden in the south east of Cornwall. A short drive to Cawsand and Kingsand.
- William (9/5): A place to relax in lovely area - Tranquil place in lovely location, with all that was needed in an apartment.
- ROBERT (10/5): Exceptional property, great views, and friendly staff. - Property well equipped, good quality, staff were very accommodating. Nothing
- Carole (10/5): Wonderful stay. Highly recommended. - The apartment at Rame Barton was wonderful. Extremely comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Bree was so welcoming and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Perfectly situated to explore the beautiful area or travel in to Plymouth. Highly recommend.
- Kiwi (10/5): - The location was perfect for us as we had a wedding to attend at the fort.
Prime location with plenty of parking.
Karen was very accommodating and helpful.
- Nicola (8/5): Amazing location, super comfy bed and idyllic and peaceful location. - Easy booking, responsive hosts, easy to find, amazing location, beautiful building, spacious accommodation, well equipped, comfy bed, great view. Window banged/rattled in the wind, not the best shower.

- Emma (10/5): Fab - The apartment and grounds are great, very clean and spacious for the price, and had everything we needed for a self catered stay.
We had house martens flying around and perching over our windows, and the views are lovely. We also had Eva's Rame Barton eggs which were very nice :)
Kingsand/Cawsand are like something from a fairytale, they are so picturesque, and there are lovely walks overlooking the sea, and through the countryside.
There's paddle boarding, jet skiing etc available though we didn't take advantage ourselves. To get there we had to drive along some very narrow twisty lanes, which was a bit tricky once or twice with vehicles coming the other way, but that's not really a criticism of the guest house, and it was worth it anyway.
- Ali Berkay (9/5): -
- KarinaCJB (10/5): Lovely place - Gorgeous place, high-quality bedding, towels and accessories. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen
Even YouTube on the t. V.
Loved it Nothing
- Shivam (10/5): Fully equipped, peaceful and welcoming! - Was an amazing spot with so much attention to detail to make the stay comfortable including an absolutely amazingly equipped apartment.
Literally anything you could need they had.
The hosts were also very welcoming and the parking spots were very helpful.
All in all couldn’t complain at all! If I had to pick it would be that Google maps has messed up the location. I was there for a wedding in Polhawn Fort and the maps puts Rame Barton a 3 minute walk to the venue when really it is 20. This seems like a Google maps problem though.
Also just need to be able to ignore some lively chickens in the morning
- Andrew (10/5): A short break in a rural location which was exactly what is offered, with close proximity to Cawsand. Really nice place - Really nice location and fabulous hostess N/A

The property - The property is immaculate and homely with all facilities you would require. The garden and surrounding countryside is beautiful, remote and quiet. Bree and Henry were wonderful, they made us feel very welcome and couldn’t do enough for us, we would love to return for a short stay with our children. Nothing
- Jelena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): We had a lovely time thank you so much - Excellent location friendly welcome and really nice room.
A lovely house do well appointed and a wonderful view. Thank you We appreciated the milk, tea, coffee Eggs and the wonderful chocolate brownies.
Perhaps consider a small loaf of bread and some butter
- Keeley (10/5): Beautiful property. Great location. Excellent host - Rame Barton is the perfect place to stay if you are attending a wedding at The Fort. It is within a mile away and taxi drivers are happy to take you this short distance. It’s too far to walk in wedding attire and a bit blowy. Whilst this was the nature of our visit, I would love to return and explore the area along the costal paths. There were walking maps in our apartment. Breock recommended The Canteen at Maker Heights for breakfast (the best I’ve ever had and a great spot on the coast).
The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed and some lovely unexpected extras such a biscuits, real coffee and brownies. The bed, pillows and cotton linen were super comfy. Breock was the perfect host and made my husband and I feel very welcome and comfortable. The house is beautiful and set in a fabulous spot. Lots of deer on arrival and chickens round the back. Would definitely return. Thank you so much Breock
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice appartment in a rural area - perfect to relax and go for hikes along the coast. Quite remote for excursions. The weather :-)
- Amanda (10/5): Loved it! Would stay here again! - Lovely spacious and modern room! Very clean and good bathroom.
Easy distance to the coastal footpath for walks. We were there for a wedding at Polhawn Fort and this was a great distance for that!
The owners were lovely and they had a cute little dog wandering around!
Very spacious grounds at the front of the property if you want to relax.
Very good wifi!
It’s about 20min walk into Cawsand along the country lane or less than 5 minute drive with cheap car parks in town. Nothing of note
- Rebecca (10/5): Would return in a heartbeat! - Peaceful location, everything you needed for a short stay. Beautiful grounds to relax. We took our bikes which made making the trip to Kingsands quick and easy.
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): luxury, friendly and in a stunning location - absolutely stunning property set in beautiful grounds surrounded by natural beauty only thing it was missing was a jacuzzi
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (10/5): Outstanding! - Bree, Henry, their little girl and buddy the dog all gave us the warmest welcome ever. Nothing was too much trouble and they accommodated to all our needs. The guest house is beautifully furnished and has the comfiest bed! I would highly recommend and most definitely will be going back! Thank you all again for the best weekend!

- Nikki (10/5): Fantastic host lovely accommodation. Very clean, comfortable a home from home. - The location was idea for what we needed
- Sabine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vincent (10/5): close and convenient for where we were working - good staff and a sensible way of running things
- Eleanor (10/5): One of 'those Gems' - Rame Barton is a beautiful property - the photos don't do it justice.
We stayed in the 2-bed apartment - 2 generously sized bedrooms, a huge bathroom including a bath, a family lounge (with smart TV Netflix etc) and a very well equipped kitchen (Including decent tea & coffee that lasted our whole stay!) There is also free wifi.
The décor was flawlessly sympathetic to the era of the property and the bedding & towels felt particularly luxurious.
Bree was a great host, laid back, friendly and added in fine details such as a pint of milk in the fridge, artisan apple juice for the kids and some lovely biscuits. We were even given some fresh eggs from Brownie & Blackie (the resident hens) that made for a great breakfast.
The gardens are stunning & large. There were a couple of rope swings that kept the kids suitably entertained.
The location is very rural, and walking around is difficult with young children but if you don't mind the hills and have some decent walking shoes the scenery is worth it. There are also quite a few nice pubs within a few minutes drive.
We felt really welcome at Rame Barton and would love to return for a laid-back break with (or without!) the kids. Nothing.
- Nicolas (10/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient ! - Everything: from the professionalism of our host (thanks again Breock) to the place itself, which is superb. Overall, just a great place to stay in the area Nothing really
