- Michael (9/5): Gemütliches, gut ausgestattetes Hotel mit bärigem Sympathiefaktor - Das Hotel mit Pub, Restaurant und Terrasse besteht aus mehreren alten Gebäuden, die sehr gelungen miteinander verbunden sind. Das Zimmer "Pooh Bear" im 2. Stock ist geräumig, hat ein modernes Bad mit großer Dusche und einer freistehenden Badewanne. Die Fenster öffnen zur Hauptstraße, auf der gelegentlich laute Motorräder vorbeikamen. Das Essen im Hotel (Frühstück und optionales Abendessen) war durchweg sehr gut und die Servicekräfte waren ausgesprochen nett und aufmerksam. Einen großen Parkplatz gibt es wenige Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt. Wir können uns gut vorstellen, wieder hier zu buchen. Die Happy Hour für Cocktails endete schon um 18 Uhr.

- Staceyca (10/5): - Lovely quaint place. Decent sized rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice of yoghurt, fruit, juice, cereal and good freshly cooked breakfast choice. Dinner in the evening was excellent. Great Margarita - better when it's Happy Hour !! Parking is a nightmare. Maximum 4 hours in the local car parks which I don't get so if you want to go out for the day you either drive or you are stuffed because you have to move your car although I didn't see anyone checking but didn't want to chance it ! The flush on the toilet in Yogi is really noisy ! Too many dogs for my liking and they are allowed in for breakfast and in the restaurant. It should be one or the other. Rooms are dog friendly too which I didn't like

The hotel was very quiet Our room was on the small side, not a very nice view from the window just over adjacent roofs and the television was very small I had to go very close to read the tv guide and that was while wearing my glasses.

Lack of hotel parking wasn’t a problem for me due to out of season visit , I was able to park in the street. Bedroom was small with little space to move between bed and dresser unit . Bathroom was large, shower was very good . All were spotlessly clean. Would opt for a larger room if I were to revisit but as it was I paid £160 , this included breakfast. The bedroom was smartly decorated. Limited bedroom space. Despite being a hotel there wasn’t quiet space/ room available for guests to sit to read a book newspaper. My bedroom wasn’t an option due to lack of space.

- caroline (7/5): - The staff were very helpful. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the beds and sheets very comfortable. Lots of hot water, quiet bed rooms. Good breakfast options. There is nowhere set aside for staying guests to sit and relax , read, drink tea etc. Our dinner service was very delayed , from ordering to eating was over 3/4 an hour.

- Philippa (6/5): Nice hotel, but not at this time of year! - The location of the hotel was great to explore the Isle of Purbeck. Our rooms were compact, nicely decorated and the bathroom although also compact had good quality fittings. All very clean. The staff were nice and the food good. Unfortunately we were made to feel an inconvenience being at the hotel at this time of year (5th- 7th January). The heating and fire was turned off in the bar where we were to eat our dinner. The temperature was -3 outside! When we asked the staff to turn the heating on they had to check with the owner first! We, along with our friends were the only guests staying at the hotel. The following evening when we returned at 8.45pm from dinner elsewhere, all of the downstairs was closed up and again heating off! We had hoped to have a drink at the bar and play some games, but it was freezing and the bar was locked! At breakfast there were items not available from the menu and only childrens cereals. Items were purchased for the following morning. We did make our disappointment know at the time and a modest reduction in the bill was made. We were subsequently told 'the hotel operate reduced hours of the bar and communal areas during particularly quiet periods especially at this time of year'. That is rather important information that we should have been told beforehand and therefore would have had the opportunity to book into a different hotel. We also feel we were penalised by booking with Booking.com, that being the reason we couldn't have a room upgrade, although all other rooms were empty on account of us being the only guests!!!
- Richard (9/5): A good traditional hotel, well-placed for a Purbeck visit - An old coaching inn, right in the middle of the attractive little town of Wareham, The Bear is also a popular place for locals drinking and eating in the bar. My room was quite small but cosy and well-fitted, with good shower and comfortable bed. Breakfasts were excellent, and I also had supper in the bar, interesting dishes and all good. The staff were all friendly and helpful and seemed to form a happy team; I noticed how kind they were with a slightly “difficult” old lady. The efficient “Breezer” bus to Corfe Castle, Swanage and Poole stops almost right outside. Nothing worth noting.

- Ives (10/5): One of the best places i have stayed - Really fantastic food, the staff were lovely. Rooms are spotless and warm.
- Kenneth (6/5): Alright for one night but uncomfortable for longer - Excellent location in main street with a welcoming and helpful staff. There was always a good atmosphere in the bar. We dines on one occasion and found the food to be of good standard with a reasonably wide wine selection. The desk in the bedroom was a modest sized highish table whose surface area was largely take up with the oversized welcome tray and kettle. There was just one chair - a low armchair which was far to low to use to try to sit at the table to write or to use a laptop. I did mention this and was promised that a better chair would be sourced but no alternative chair was ever offered in the following days. The room lighting was very poor - best light for reading was obtained when sitting on the lavatory. There was no residents' lounge either as an alternative venue for reading. Very limited offering at breakfast - only granola type cereals with no corn flakes, weetabix or shredded wheat for example and the only fruit being berries and a compote but no fruit bowl not even a banana.

- Whitewillows (10/5): Such a comfortable stay - I’ll be back again! - My room was spacious, clean and tidy. It was furnished with everything you could need, a beautifully large comfortable bed, wardrobe, sofa, desk and chests of drawers. A large range of tea bags, coffee and kettle, plus bottled water were all provided in the room. Optional cleaning of the room and towel changes daily as required - just hang the door hanger out if required. Nothing, it was perfect for me.

Stolik, krzesło szafki, lampki, wieszaki wszystko co potrzebne aby się rozpakować, wypocząć, zrelaksować. Łazienka duża prysznic oraz wanna co kto lubi :). Śniadania, obiady pyszne. Obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna.

- Charlotte (10/5): Perfect Bank Holiday Retreat - This hotel is the perfect base for any stay in Dorset, great location with lots of nice shops around and easy to access most things. The parking just down the road wasn't an issue and always plenty of spaces. We stayed with our dog and felt very welcome in all areas :) Nothing!

I felt extremely comfortable in my room, it provided all I needed as well as a superb en-suite shower room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good location. That I couldn’t stay longer!

- Nicholas Cross (9/5): Great place to stay, probably the cleanest hotel you will ever stay in. - Superbly clean and decor finished to a very high degree. Very comfortable. Very good evening meal. Breakfast good but a little variable. Really enjoyed our stay. Nothing but lack of aircon in our room could have been an issue if the weather was hotter.

- Robin (8/5): - Great location and the room was clean and modern. Plenty of refreshments in the room too which was nice and when I asked for more they were promptly delivered, even after a long search for biscuits! No option for black pudding on the cooked breakfast and no cheese/meat on the continental buffet. The TV in the room was too small, not that we watched it much.
- Gill (9/5): Lovely place and staff. Parking off site but available nearby in the town. - Beautiful, quirky and spotlessly clean character property. Issues with our room’s heating and it was unfortunate as the room and bathroom were gorgeous. Staff were all helpful and we were given a generous discount from our bill so would return happily. The most comfortable and quality beds, handmade with luxurious bedding, immaculately clean. The heating in our room did not work and by the time we arrived and returned from a theatre trip, there was no one to ask about it. same early in the morning.
- Emma (6/5): - The location, the room was clean, the staff were helpful. The breakfast was terrible - overcooked poached eggs on hard toast. The coffee was undrinkable. My advice is go to the lovely Italian bakery down the street and get breakfast there. We bought absolutely delicious sandwiches and cakes and ate them on the cliffs. I thought the room was a little expensive at £170 per night.

- gillian (10/5): Would love to have stayed longer - Welcome lovely. Young staff who were welcoming, friendly, fun and efficient. Super fluffy towels and comfortable bed, pillows too. Nothing!
- Sarah (8/5): Cost comfortable stay - Perfect location. Lovely characterful building. Cosy bed, powerful hot shower. Breakfast could have been slightly higher quality- fruit option for example was a little basic. Not cheap at all, so expectations were high. Fresh milk for tea would be a nice offering.

- McLaughlin (8/5): Enjoyable getaway at this hotel. Perfect location with lots of history, nature and coast nearby. - Breakfast was excellent. Optionof cooked and continental. Tables in breakfast room are on first come basis and more seating is down a long corridor in the bar so not so easy for carrying bowls, juices to your table, but manageable. The features of the bar and hotel in general were fascinating and unique. The decor was to a high standard and modern parts were inkeeping with the historical aspects. Bathroom was a nice size and recently modernised. Plenty of tea,coffee, milk extras available to make drinks in the room. Not suitable for elderly or anyone who is less able to manage uneven floors& stairs due to the nature of the old features. The shower base was v slippery with no mat or grips and no grab rail. However, once I'd reported the issue, by the same evening a rubber bath mat had been supplied. Can't fault the support

- John (8/5): A very good short stay in a convenient location. - The location is central in Wareham, but there is no parking. The room was small with no view, but comfortable and with a very good shower. It was quiet, being away from the street. The breakfast was excellent quality, though the coffee could have been stronger with more taste. Long term parking is about a 6-7 minute walk away, though it is very good and inexpensive.

The hotel was beautifully furnished with a modern rustic finish. We stayed 2 nights, breakfast was plentiful & enjoyed exquisite food from the evening menu both evenings. All the staff without exception were delightful. We hope to return when next visiting Dorset. Nothing
