Guest Reviews
- Katie (10/5): -
- Melinda (10/5): Most memorable and worthy of a return!! - Everyone met us with a smile- Monica,Melody and Efron! Not only is the staff accommodating but made us feel welcome like family. Couldn’t say anything negative- exceeded our expectations!
- Rocardo (8/5): - no
- Flerida (4/5): -
- Brad (10/5): - Amazing as always
- Maya (10/5): Cozy, peaceful, surrounded by nature. Like camping but better! - We loved everything about our cozy green wagon! The management really pulled out all the stops by even giving us S’Mores kits! Also lots of blankets, clean hot showers, and even a camp kitchen to prepare sandwiches or coffee. We loved this little piece of paradise. We definitely will return when we head back on the 395. This part of the world is truly Heaven on Earth.
- Alex (6/5): Tent wagons are not the best option they offer. - Overall a good place to stay - beautiful scenery, just keep in mind, if you’re staying inside a wagon - you’ll hear the sound of running water in the creek all night, this didn’t bother me. I stayed here for a night in a tent wagon. I wasn’t worried about the chilly night (heated blanket & beanie I brought helped), but didn’t realize that spiders and bugs will be crawling inside too because the wagon is not enclosed properly (gaps in front and back that need repairs).

- Maria (7/5): Physical contortions :-) - Lovely cabin, had real rustic charm. Restaurant served nice food and very large portion sizes. Shower too low for anyone above 5ft 6 - was forced to contort myself into some interesting positions to get my head under the shower head! lol
Rien
- Vincent (9/5): -
- Edward (1/5): Very unreasonable cancellation policy - Very unreasonable cancellation policy

- Bogodenko (7/5): - Location Pool was closed

- Ievgeniia (10/5): - Very clean with all you need for comfy camping, including hot water and warm showers for rustic cabins. We loved it!
- Jeffrey (10/5): Relaxing - Location
- Strampfer (6/5): - No
- Angela (10/5): Best place to stay when visiting local hot springs! - The facilities were so cute and clean. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but that seemed convenient. Make sure you bring adequate bedding if you stay in a tent cabin or covered wagon. The day may be hot, but the evening gets cold. They let you know, so make sure to heed that warning or upgrade to a room. Also, they give you a bag of goodies with coffee stuff, fish food, and s'mores, it was so unexpected and made us so happy! Nothing. It was so cute!
- Diehl (10/5): - Really good spot, highly recommend getting a cabin by the river.
Tiempo.

- Sally (10/5): perfect getaway - staff and owner so helpful with activity planning. Experts on winter sports logistics and opportunities. no complaints!
- Rodliff (10/5): -
- Rene (10/5): -
- Astrid (10/5): - The tiny wood cabin we rented along side the little creek. The gift bag the reception woman gave as welcome gift. Had a kit for " Smore making" , 2 Kuerig coffee inserts, and cup of fish food, to feed their stock trout fish farm in tanks up the hill. The cabin was new with phone charger unit, fan, coffee m machine, internet, TV. Fridge and microwave. That the reception woman that welcomed me at 8:10 pm was there again at 9 am in the morning, and she said she has 3 kids and , it's great she can live on the property, but she said the price of food and such, it's getting harder to feed her kids and attend to their physical material needs.
- Ryszard (8/5): -
- James (8/5): Nice rustic facilities with Creekside ambience - Nice rustic room on the creek. Lots of great old, cowboy pictures and memorabilia on the walls. Due to being on the main road, some commercial truck noise at night.
- John (9/5): -
- Troy (8/5): Staff are super friendly and accommodating, food is good quality. -
- Eighmie (10/5): Come as you are. Check out the surroundings and just breathe. - It felt like coming home. We entered at 6:58pm after a 4 hour drive. We were greeted with a menu, water and a smile. We selected dinner and mentioned we will need to check in. Our server smiled and you’re all set. A little bag containing smores, fish food and a map.
The less is more approach was refreshing.
Feeding the trout with a cup of coffee should be mandatory in daily life. Laughter filled the morning brisk morning air.
Having a chef anytime of the day, meant no late meals. Perfect for adventures! N/A
- Aimee (10/5): - All of the staff are kind, helpful and went out of their way to help make our stay amazing!
- Aimee (10/5): -
- Matthias (10/5): Cozy, rustic and safe place to stay while traveling the Eastern Sierra Scenic Hwy - The staff were super friendly and we appreciated the progressive and safe environment, restaurant was very quaint and the food and service were excellent, the room was rustic and cozy, complimentary smores and fire pit by the creek were great perks The mattress wasn't the most comfortable
- Abhayagiri (10/5): -
- Jana (8/5): Would stay here again. Maybe the things that I didn't like were just on-offs. This place is cute! - The restaurant and grounds are beautiful! The cabins are cozy and clean. The pillows provided were terrific! There is a lovely creek running behind the property, a little bridge that takes you over the creek to some hiking trails and they give you a goodie bag with items to make s'mores, coffee and fish food to feed the trout they raise! The woman who works in the evening treated me very oddly. She was not rude, but made every interaction incredibly uncomfortable. She was also my server when I ate at the on-site restaurant and gave me the wrong salad. I also reserved the cabin with the bath and when I got to my cabin I saw that it had a shower, not a bath tub. When I reserved my cabin as specifically asked for the one with the bathtub (like the picture shows).
- Terra (10/5): Heaven on earth - I fell in love with everything about this property. I stayed in a covered wagon right on the creek. My stay was so peaceful and relaxing. My wagon was roomy for one person. The shared bathrooms and showers were super clean. The staff were amazing and food was so yummy. I’ve told all my family and friends about my stay. They are all ready to book! I can’t wait to go back. I miss my green wagon. I honestly can’t think of anything I disliked about my stay.
- Curt (10/5): - Food was delicious. We had dinner and breakfast there. Service was great both days.
- Magdalena (10/5): - Everything was exceptional!
- Arthur (7/5): Nice - Room's decoration and lighting very nice. No desk and chair in bedroom.
- Robert (10/5): One of the best values in my travels across US - Everything was excellent. A bit retro but fit the rustic Settlement image. Location. Was A+ Nothing
- Emma (10/5): -
- Daryna (9/5): -
- Earle (9/5): I wanted the wagon near the stream, got it and enjoyed it the natural music greatly. - The restaurant was excellent. Good food, generous portions. The wagon was a bit chilly, but there was a electric blanket with the room. I had brought my own. The sound of the stream made the minor discomfort evaporate. Difficulties with electrical in the wagon that made charging with limited outlets a challenge.
- Didier (9/5): Super!
- Carrie (10/5): Lovely place to stay! - Lovely stay at Virginia Creek Settlement. Felt right at home. Facilities were nice and clean. Staff was friendly. No complaints!
- Skaggs (10/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Artis (8/5): -
- Curry (10/5): Fabulous - We loved the restaurant and the atmosphere. Nothing
- Amy (9/5): Quiet location right next to stream and their restaurant. Good for an overnight stay - Additional features like the fish feeding and camp fire with marshmallows Odd noise from heating system
- Mariela (10/5): Wonderful - Very charming I didn’t get enough sugar for my coffee
- Dániel (10/5): -
- Carla (9/5): - This place is a little gem.
Their cabins are super cool, comfortable, and warm (we were there late November). They give you a s’mores kit which was a lovely touch. We were a little sad we didn’t stay longer! Close to Bodie the ghost town too.
- Michael (9/5): Perfect. - Fun place to stay. Rustic Lincoln Log structure. There’s a nice stream on the property. Also fun to feed fish. Had an excellent meal in the restaurant for breakfast. Very nice staff. Nothing.
- Steven (10/5): Amazing! We had a cabin, next to the creek - Super pretty, it was a short stay as we came up for Bodie m. We will be back Everything

- Julia (10/5): -

- christine (9/5): we enjoyed the surroundings, the accommodations met our needs, clean bathroom and shower and kitchen - the beds and enough linens, covers, clean restroom and bathhouse and also great kitchen area to use, loved the ambiance of the restaurant and our breakfast was great too!! glad they are helping our the trout situation in the area and love the s'mores and that each place had a propane firepit!! the propane heater was a bit tricky and the staff wasn't too thrilled to help - they first remarked that we stayed last night so we should know. We explained again and they did send someone down and ended up replacing the tank for a new one.
possibly, they could fix the bottom of the door for that piece that was off at the bottom was where we caught sight of 2 little mice scurrying in and out.
- Sylvie (10/5): -
- Joanna (9/5): - Emplacement au top en pleine nature. Nombreux jeux dans l établissement. Petit sac cadeau à l arrivée très appréciable. Literie très confortable. Bonne Restauration.
- Jo (9/5): Will be back, and recommend - Ahhhdorable, cozy, clean. We were in the Motel and will definitely get more info about the cabins for next time “Motel” was a lil noisy
- Joël (10/5): -
- Nikki (9/5): - We stayed in a covered wagon.. glad we brought an extra heavy quilt. There was no electric blanket. Just know it is a beautiful experience. The restaurant food was good and the staff were very kind. Would we go back? Absolutely

- Karl-Anders (9/5): -
- Marshall (4/5): Nice location but disappointed with size of room for the price. - Easy check in. Good location for Mono Lake and Yosemite. Liked the Roku on the TV so I could connect to You tube TV. Restaurant expensive but had a HUGE omlette the first morning. Small room for the high price. Bed took up 2/3 of the room. Not much room to put anything, no desk. Couldn't figure out thermostat initially so temp first night went down to 58 degrees. Wierdly the Thermostat was next to the heater so had to turn it way up in order to heat the room. Can't figure out the high ratings for this site, maybe the camping is a different expectation.
- Todd (10/5): -
- Robbie (10/5): -
- Larry (10/5): - Construction ongoing in close proximity to rooms
Power outage at the end of our stay
Entrance & egress of 395 could be challenging
Great food!
- Elia (7/5): -
- Jan (10/5): - Miejsce niesamowite! Zaraz nad rzeczką! Bardzo klimatyczne i w dobrym stylu. Piękne domki dobrze wyposażone. Na zewnątrz grill i ognisko gazowe. Fajna knajpa. Koniecznie odwiedź to miejsce!
- Cindy (10/5): -
- ana (8/5): - river nearby a bit noisy in the tents
- Haruki (10/5): - Easy checkin even though it was late (11PM). The instructions were clear.
- Shane (10/5): - Easy access to bridgeport, good dinner selections, clean, comfortable rooms
- Mark (10/5): - Loved being just feet from the creek. Spaghetti dinner with salad, bread, pizza and ice cream was awesome for family of four. Feeding fish was fun for the kids.
- Wenda (10/5): - Friendly, helpful staff, dinner at the restaurant was excellent, cabin was very clean and love their dogs are free policy!
- Peter (7/5): - Feuerstelle Das Wetter.
- Amy (9/5): Relaxing and wonderful staff - Location on the creek with porch swing
Staff was very responsive
- Scott (10/5): Exceeded our expectations. Clean and modern with a rustic feel. - Roasting s’mores next to the river. Feeding the fish 😀. Food was good in the restaurant.
- robert (8/5): - i liked most everything there, however, i could not get the heater to work in cabin 21 and i could have used it as it got cold fist night. i didn’t notify management and i should have on day 2 of my stay.
- Tom (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful peipple, delightful place, ad close to great alpine hikes.
- Ulysse (10/5): -
- Ken (10/5): - Very nice comfortable place to stay. Enjoyed feeding the fish.
- Vladimír (8/5): -
- Isolde (10/5): A great original stay near Yosemite! - What’s not to like? If you’re looking for a truly original place to stay near Yosemite, than look no further than Virginia Creek Settlement. The different cabins and wagons are amazing, all with their personal fire ring to enjoy some smores at night. The creek and different games set up on the property provide more than ample entertainment. Their pizza’s and Italian inspired food tastes amazing, so no need to venture out for dinner. Overall, this is an amazing stay that will give you great memories.
- JAMES (6/5): - Wish I had reserved a single cabin rather than the motel type room. Too much noise and banging around in the morning.
