Guest Reviews
- Samuel (10/5): - Our hosts were delightful. The breakfast was delicious and the fresh fruit was a wonderful addition to the morning. The property was lovely and their dog, Remy, greeted us warmly upon our arrival. It was perfect after a day of driving along the Golden Coast. I would highly recommend!
- Norma (8/5): - Owner very accommodating. Offered hearty breakfast. We arrived late & only restaurant option nearby was closing. Spent one night & out early after breakfast.
- MARGARET (10/5): - Outstanding breakfast with fresh squeezed OJ and homemade scones. Full Irish breakfast was lovely. Comfortable lounge with microwave, fridge, and water cooler. Very clean. My only wish was that they would replace their frayed hand towels and noisy bathroom fan. Overall very comfortable with great breakfast .
- John (10/5): Great all the way around. - Good location. Beautiful property. Staff very responsive. Good breakfast. Even an exercise room. Susan and Des were great.
- Maree (10/5): - Great place to stay! Great breakfast! Free parking.

- John (8/5): - Staff
- Allison (10/5): - Wonderful view!
- David (10/5): - Great for travelling with friends.
- Simon (10/5): - A really pleasant B&B with a wonderful family running the show. Fantastic for cyclists (despite the steep hill up to the property!) with a fantastic view towards Waterford. Breakfast was also on-point!
- Yvonne (10/5): - Our first stop after leaving Dublin to travel around Ireland. Boy did we choose well! Lovely accommodation and superb breakfast! Would highly recommend.

- Catherine (10/5): - Beautiful peaceful spot up on a hill with great views. Still close to good restaurants etc. Good size rooms and breakfast was fantastic! Plus a beautiful dog Remy to hang out with us.
- Nathan (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - We arrived fairly late, around 8:30, but Desmond was there to greet us and check us in. He couldn’t have been more pleasant. The property was beautiful, the bedroom was nice and the hot, made to order breakfast with locally sourced food items was fabulous. We only wished we could have spent an additional night.
- Janet (10/5): - Great family run BnB with lots of made to order breakfast options. Large rooms, comfy, & walk in hot shower.
- Rachel (10/5): Wondeful! - We had a wonderful stay - hosts couldn't do enough for us and we would highly recommend this B&B for anyone staying in the area! Beautiful breakfast, great service and a lovely BnB!

- Wade (8/5): - Enjoyed our quick stay for one night. Unit was spacious and comfortable. Very quiet location outside of main Waterford area. Perfect for our needs. Thanks!
- Steven (8/5): - Spectacular vista of Waterford. We were greeted by Remy, the Black Lab of the house. Room was very outdated, but clean. Nice gym, but sauna was broken. The shower had a really nice water flow. The breakfast was quite good. The owner and family were very nice.
- Steve (10/5): - Enjoyed our time
- Vanessa (10/5): - Quiet, nice view, beautiful property. Not far at all from a delicious restaurant. Rooms are spacious and the host was very nice and accommodating, answering all my questions.
First time staying there and I would stay again.
Comfortable beds and a lovely breakfast in the morning.
- Paul (10/5): Emerald Isle gem - My wife and I are on a trip round Ireland on a motorbike and when we arrived we was greeted by the lovely Des what an absolute character lovely and charming the gent that he is he showed us around explained everything and left us to it,we met his wife in the morning during breakfast and what an absolute ray of sunshine she was she was asking about our trip and seemed genuinely interested. and we can say the breakfast which consisted of homemade granola locally sourced honey fresh fruits, yoghurts and other cereals.but if you want a hearty Irish breakfast with the best top quality ingredients this is the place to go,we will be returning but if you are in the area give this place a shout you will not be disappointed the hosts are genuinely lovely people God bless them them both soon to return.
- Douglas (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at Samuel’s Heritage. It has a lovely setting just a bit out from Waterford. The hosts are extremely welcoming. The breakfast is outstanding. It was a relaxing stay.
- William (10/5): - Beautiful property, great breakfast choices, and friendly hosts.
- Carol (8/5): Scones were amazing! - Great stay, breakfast was great, especially the scones.
- Robert (10/5): - Susan and Des are lovely people and this was a great spot for exploring the area. Tremendous breakfast as well.
- Aideen (10/5): - Beautiful B&B in a lovely area only a short driving distance from Waterford City. I had a large, comfortable room - everything was pristinely clean, and the shower was superb. Breakfast was a real treat, with an excellent variety on the menu, and tiny home made (warm!) scones accompanying whatever you chose. The guest lounge was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, cutlery and delph, comfortable couches, and a 'drop and swap' area for books. I would highly recommend a stay in Samuel's Heritage, and will definitely return the next time I'm in Waterford.
- Luisa (10/5): Excellent stay - We had a wonderful stay.
Desmond was super helpful and knowledgeable upon arrival.
The room was lovely and had everything we needed - excellent shower and the most comfortable bed. Like a home away from home!
Breakfast was excellent and tasty. I wish I could have eaten more!
Two negatives (very minor things) :
The internet was spotty at times
Would have liked tea/coffee facilities in the room.
Would not hesitate to stay again
- Teresa (10/5): Can't wait to visit again. - Excellent B & B - a gem of a find. Superb location.
Proprietors so welcoming and helpful, easy parking and delicious breakfast cooked freshly to order.
Large bedroom with walk in shower and toiletries provided. Little touches like cotton wool pads and tissues made it extra special. Very useful folder inn the bedroom to help decide where to go to explore and where to eat.
- Aidan (10/5): Peaceful, clean, spacious and quiet - My wife and I had a lovely time here. Samuel's Heritage guest house was very comfortable and quiet. Our room was very spacious and clean. The house sits on a hill on its own deadend road overlooking Waterford and the river, beautiful views. You don't hear a thing at night. It's about a 10 minute drive from the city centre. For breakfast there is everything you could want and plenty of it. Susan is a very welcoming and attentive host.
- David (10/5): Lovely place near Waterford. - Beautiful B&B up on a hill overlooking Waterford. The hosts Susan and Des were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Delicious breakfast included as well as help defrosting the car windows. Highly recommend this establishment.
- Jason (10/5): - This place is an excellent oppportunity to get away from the bustle of the city and relax in a country-like atmosphere that is still very close to the amenities of town. The views from the property were beautiful. The hosts, Des & Susanne, are incredibly friendly and helpful. This atmosphere creates an excellent and authentic Irish experience for travellers. Breakfast was excellent. I would definately stay here again.
- carel (8/5): - The property is lovely and the staff are lovely as well. The place is immaculate. The breakfast was really nice, good choices. Personally, I would've liked a kettle in our room in stead of in the communal sitting room. Also, it would've been nice to have a runner carpet on the wooden floor to make walking down the corridor a bit quieter.
- Patricia (10/5): - Beautiful property owners were very pleasant breakfast was excellent would recommend it
- Scott (8/5): - This is about a 3-star stay. Wonderful staff and ultra quick checkin. My only issue is that the heat didn’t work. I found out that the heat had to be turned on by the staff. I waited a few hours and it still wasn’t turned on. I made a second request and yet it still didn’t turn on. Other than a cold room, it was great! An awesome breakfast!
- Paul (8/5): - Very nice location within walking distance of a local restaurant. The only downside common to other places we stayed was the difficulty in using the TV and remote.
- John (8/5): - Breakfast is outstanding! Staff was very helpful.
- Trevor (10/5): - Very friendly with great breakfast
- Anne (10/5): - A really beautiful location close to Waterford. Easy to find. Nearby pub recomended for dinner was a quick drive and great food
- Deanna (10/5): - Susan and Des were great! Lovely spot. Very pretty area.
- Anthony (10/5): - Excellent welcome. Friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast - great choice and range. Local produce and home made scones, museli. Great range of fruits.
- Lucinda (10/5): - The host was very helpful and the breakfast was yummy!
- John (10/5): - Smooth fast checkin. Great views in a very quiet setting Large comfortable rooms
- Deborah (10/5): - The B & B sits upon a hill that overlooks the city. The home is beautiful, bed/pillows were a little hard for us. The room is large with a nice bathroom. There is a common room available with a refrigerator, TV couches etc.. that worked out great. Very nice place to stay, would recommend.
- Iwona (10/5): - This was a wonderful stay! The B&B was quiet, the scenery was spectacular. The service was perfect- the owners were very welcoming- giving us advice on the area and generally warming. The breakfast was delicious! Would definitely go back!

Breakfast was excellent with homemade scones!
- Evan (10/5): - Very handy location and lovely hosts.
- Catherine (8/5): - Good property. Large rooms. Clean and comfortable
- Karen (10/5): - This beautiful property, hosted by Des and Susan offers so much to its visitors: wide hallways, wheelchair accessible room, family rooms, a lounge, workout space and infared sauna. Great breakfast bar with fresh seasonal fruits, yogurt, cereals, fresh baked scones and made to order breakfast. Beds comfortable, great shower, on one level with easy access. Lovely warm hosts. Special thanks for the new read, it was a fine book. Many thanks.
- Clive (8/5): - Hosts were very welcoming and friendly . Large spacious room & breakfast was excellent
We had difficulty finding Samuel’s road signage could have been more prominent

- Neil (10/5): - Lovely stay with a great breakfast
- Andy (10/5): - Great value,comfortable,friendly and quiet

- Matthew Michael (10/5): - Very friendly owners, accommodations even bigger than expected, a great B and B experience
- PATRICIA (10/5): Must stay! - Fantastic stay! Super nice property. Five star amazing breakfast.
- Brenda (8/5): Nice place to visit. - The B &B was easy to get to. Susan was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast and especially coffee, was very good. Parking was excellent. Grounds were very nice. The room was very cold even after I asked for the heat to be turned up. It was nice to have the towel warmers turned on at least. The pillows and mattress were very firm. I realize you can’t please everyone regarding this. Some like it soft, some like it firm. All and all it was a nice stay in Waterford and Samuel’s Heritage Bed and Breakfast.
- Jon (10/5): - Lovely place. Ideal for our stay.
- Linda (10/5): - Lovely spot and host.
- C (4/5): - Owner very curt and aggressive on arrival and made me feel very uncomfortable staying the night.

- Fan (8/5): Worth your while - The hosts are wonderful. Very resourceful and friendly
- Rene (10/5): -
Charming little place. Well, big for a B&B.
The breakfast was amazing. Service was impeccable, and the place was spotless.
I was highly impressed yo find a fitness suite in a bed & breakfast
The hosts were most welcoming - they didn't want us to leave !
The only minor gripe was a green LED light on the ceiling of our room, very tiny but bright enough to affect sleep.
Don't let that put you off staying here though.
If we had stayed another night I would just have taped something over it to block it out.
- Lillian (8/5): - Nice and quiet place.staff very friendly
- Pierce (10/5): - Host was amazingly helpful and kind. Really flexible. Property is great and easily accessible by car.
- Sharon (10/5): - Our stay at Samuel’s was excellent. The property is conveniently located and has all the amenities needed with spacious rooms and common areas. The home cooked breakfast was delicious!
- Juleen (10/5): - A sanctuary within Waterford! Breakfast is delicious too!
- Jesse (10/5): - I had an amazing experience here! Susan and Des were so welcoming and made the stay fantastic! Highly recommend and will stay again when I return to waterford
- Francis (10/5): Samuels Heritage Recommendation - The owners of Samuels Heritage were very nice and very helpful from the time you check in until you leave. The room was spacious and very comfortable and spotless. There is a lovely guests lounge where you can make tea, toast and heat up food on the microwave. A large fridge to keep your food in. For sports fans the tv in the lounge has full Sky package . We stayed two nights and would have no hesitation in recommending Samuels Heritage. The breakfast was excellent and the home made scones were very nice.
- Bounin (10/5): - Best home made breakfast ever, not just in Ireland which we had total of 6, but all over the world. Susan’s home making was so good that we were disappointed at all other Irish breakfasts we had in following 5 days. Daz, the husband , was very helpful in helping me to buy necessary personal belongs in nearby Testco, due to loss of my luggage by Aer Lingus. It was indeed felt at home during the stay.
- Daniel (10/5): - Breakfast was excellent!
- Colin (10/5): -
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay for our first night in Ireland after arriving on the ferry from Fishguard. Des and Susan were very friendly and welcoming on a dark rainy night. After a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed we were provided with a delicious breakfast along with much helpful tourist information. We would definitely stay again!
- Mary (10/5): - Susan and Des were excellent hosts and cooks!
The room was great and they even had a small gym and lounge plus it’s out in the country and quiet but close to the Viking Triangle.
Lovely views from their B and B.
- Andrew (10/5): - Samuel's Heritage is a jewel, Susan is a star. The breakfast was excellent, the view from the site magnificent, the property beautiful, beds comfortable, and sat nav took us right there - we arrived late, and our host was very understanding. Handy for Waterford, but still nice and rural: we could easily have relaxed there for a few days had we known how lovely this place is.
- Rozanne (10/5): - The rooms were large!
- Bernhard (10/5): - Nice place to stay
- Abdel (8/5): - Good breakfast
- David (8/5): - Great view from B&B. Variety breakfast to choose from. Supermarket 5-7min. drive. Has sauna & small gym. Rooms clean.
Con: No tea/coffee etc in room BUT all is available in the large comfortable loungeroom
- Brian (10/5): - Quiet location not far from city center. Beautiful grounds, great view, spacious room, friendly staff.

- Alan (10/5): Great place to stay - This is a very nice place to stay. Very comfortable accommodation in a lovely peaceful location and well situated with easy parking. Our room was great, spacious and clean. There is a lounge with some utensils and a microwave which we found useful. Breakfast was fine. We thoroughly recommend Samuel's Heritage B&B.
- Darren (10/5): Wonderful B&B - Excellent bed and breakfast, nice large room, very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, very friendly hosts and excellent breakfast. Highly recommend
- Norie (10/5): - Owners were very personable and helpful.
- Eleanor (10/5): - Great welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this accommodation
- Liz (10/5): Lovely stay - Lovely stay and very friendly
- Dennis (10/5): - Our impressions are based on a fleeting visit as we only stayed one night and had to leave very early the following morning, but we were very favourably impressed. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, whilst the room was very spacious and comfortable. I would have no reservations about staying there again.
- Christopher (10/5): - It was a great stay right outside town. It’s very quiet and the breakfast was good.
- Katherine (8/5): - Property was fine, staff was not very hospitable, had to drive for food except breakfast
- scott (10/5): - Awesome place to stay! Sue was the best hostess
